Wir haben uns auf die Tapas Empfehlungen der Köchin und ihrem super charmanten Team verlassen und immer einen neuen Teller mit leckeren portugiesischen Speisen bekommen. Selbst die Weizenunverträglichkeit meiner Frau haben Sie berücksichtigt. Einfach nur klasse. Es war ein toller Abend und wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen. So macht Urlaub Spaß.

O conceito da Tasca está maravilhosamente bem concebido. Apostaram no tradicionalismo e cultura portuguesa... PARABÉNS. A comida é muito saborosa e de grande qualidade e o Staff está de parabéns também pois irradiam muita simpatia. Muito Obrigada. I completely and fully recommend this place. The food, staff and environment are all excellent, everything was GREAT!!

Nice little restaurant. Their soup of the day was really good. Other dishes we had were nice too. It's a little bit outside of the center, so it's not as busy as other places. At least not when we where there during lunch.

We stumbled upon this little backstreet gem accidentally after our 37 hour journey from New Zealand to Portugal. We absolutely loved every aspect of our visit, from the wonderfully exuberant staff, the quirky but fascinating decor to the totally delicious and extremely fresh dishes served. Recommended with highest praise.

Worst service ever... Please don't go.. Servers are rude to the core. Even when your food hasn't come 1.30hrs they just won't apologise, rather tell u that.. 'we can do nothing, your food will come when it comes'

We went for lunch to this cafeteria. The decoration of the place is very interesting. The waiter was friendly, but not very attentive. It was 3 personal working at that time: one cooking, and other 2 serving people and washing dishes at the same time. We have ordered gazpacho soup, couscous salad and fish stew. Soup and salad were nice, what I can’t say about stew. It was just a water with 3 small shrimps, 2 pieces of tasteless fish and some chopped herbs. This dish was announced -8 euros. I felt it was rip off, specially as next to us was a friend of the staff having same dish with tons of shrimps and fish.

Posto meraviglioso e i ragazzi disponibilissimi. Abbiamo scelto di farci fare i piatti direttamente a scelta loro invece di scegliergli dal menù. Alla fine credo ci abbiano portato quasi tutto il menù perché ogni piatto era buonissimo e volevamo provarne altri. Il vino della casa, rosso nell'occasione era buono e si accompagnava bene a tutti i piatti.

Prix abordables et convivialité. Les plats sont variés même si on tourne autour du poisson et des fruits de mer. Les portions ne sont pas très grosses mais comme ce n'est pas cher on peut les multiplier en fonction de ses préférences et de ses envies. Penser à venir tôt ou à réserver à l'avance.

Comida espectacular, sabores muy diferentes, todo buenísimo, el mejor restaurante portugués que hemos estado en todas las vacaciones en el Algarve. El ambiente muy bueno y el sitio es precioso, costumbrista, repetiremos seguro cada vez que estemos por la zona.

Tolle Erfahrung! Regionale Küche, günstiges Essen, richtig guter Service! Wir hatten die "Der Koch passt auf dich auf" Variante bei der die neuen Jungs im Service immer dann mit neuem Essen kamen, als wir mit dem letzten Gang fertig waren. Tolles Erlebnis!

Our first time at A Venta and had a delightful meal. Entering we were treated by the smell of wood smoked peppers and warm wood finishes. A real cozzy place. The restruant is small and we were fortunate to get a table for 2 for an early meal at 7:30. We started with a vegetarian curry followed by croaker and clams and oven roasted pork. All 3 tapas were great, savory and satisfying, and large enough to share with 4 people. Sorry this is our last day in Faro or we would have returned.

accueil et très bonne appréciation, de ses bon plats Portuguese, il faut venir au portugal, et laisser vous entraîner dans le cadre de lisboa, découvrir, beaucoup de personnes, très aimable, respectueux et causant moi je, y retourne pas vous et cerise sur le gâteau comme on dit souvent, on mange très bien pour pas cher et en plus les restaurantes sont toujours ouverts, pas comme en France.

Great restaurant with a family vibe and authentic food. They also speak great English. Do go early as it seems to be a popular destination for locals and tourists alike! We tried the cod, octopus, mushrooms and sweet potatoes - they were all fantastic!

We had a fantastic lunch here today. Value for money is fantastic, received a great welcome when we got there early. Loved the guys cooking and serving – it was obvious they cared about what they were serving. Favourites were the marinated mackerel and octopus with sweet potatoes.

Un endroit hors du temps une décoration digne d'une jolie brocante .Un charme fou.... Une serveuse rayonnante, se laisser guider par le choix du chef et prendre le temps de déguster et de partager les propositions de plats..... C'est le plaisir de prendre son temps et de partager.... belle philosophie. Absolut empfehlenswert, wer als Berliner in Neukölln keinen Platz in den coolen Nerdrestaurants gefunden hat, weil die Touris alles belegen, kann sich hier bestens revanchieren. Tolle Mischung aus portugiesischer und junger Küche; es erwartet einen ein netter Service und eine super Atmosphäre. Unbedingt hingehen, wenn man sich in Faro aufhält!

Incredible local tapas-style Portuguese food. The ingredients are super fresh and they have a daily menu they create daily. The food was so good that we came back for lunch the next day!

Food and staff were amazing! We were a table of 6 and went with their chef-takes-care-of-you option. All the dishes were so delicious (marinated starters, cheese, sardines, couscous salad, couple meat dishes) andey brought out just the perfect amount, checking if we had enough along the way too. We only had a day in Faro and so happy we decided to come here for our meal!

Absolutely beautiful food! I had some of the vegan tapas and they tasted better than some dishes I had at vegan only places. It was all fresh and so full of flavours! The staff is really really friendly even though it gets quite busy at night. The restaurant itself is very cosy. I absolutely recommend it!

Je sors tout juste de ce restau et je sais pas comment c'est possible d avoir 4.5 étoiles sur Google cest vraiment de la grosse daube on a commander du poisson et on a pas était déçu y avait 3 sardines fraîchement sortit de la boite de conserve avec 4 moules à l'escabeche sortit tout droit de la boite aussi en faite tout sort d'une boîte de conserve ils nous ont quand même fait des oeufs brouiller avec une gélatine que je ne saurais décrire tout aussi dégueulasse et accrochez vous bien 25 euros à éviter absolument

First impression was a complete disaster. Standing at the entrance for 10 minutes and none to welcome us.
We then decided to step in ourselves and take the only available table.... 10 minutes more waiting and then finally the greetings.
All was worth I must confess.
A true teste of Portuguese kitchen. The stuff was exhausted as the place was packed but they didn't miss to be nice and friendly.
Location is also fine - highly recommend if you can be a little patient.

Very tasty meals. Vegan / vegetarian options available. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere. Prices are quite OK but portions are mostly tapas portions.
So for 2 of us we got 5 portions of 5 different dishes and we were full. And each dish were yummy. We got the 6th portion just to make sure we tasted all that we wondered before we leave.
Recommended.

Amazing fresh and local organic ingredients. We let the chef choose are meal and we were not disappointed. Meal was provided a la tapas that included the best cod and chickpea dish ever made, fantastic cheeses and chorizo, oyster soup out of this world, carivena fish to die for, and something I have ever enjoyed till now...blood sausage. Go and make memories you'll never forget!

Este lugar nos encantó, con su ambiente alternativo, comida casera y de mucha calidad, con un estilo diferente. La decoración muy vintage ambientado en lo que debió ser una antigua tienda y que conserva las vitrinas con productos, de los cuales algunos se pueden comprar (como por ejemplo las especias).
Nos encantó probar los platos que ofrecen y degustar la cerveza de piña que elaboran, no está nada mal!
El precio muy bien. No está ubicado en las calles principales de Faro (aunque está apenas a unos pocos minutos andando) y eso se nota y se agradece. Cuando vuelva a Faro volveré a este lugar sin ninguna duda.

Dicen que son un restaurante sin gluten, pero no están seguros de que no haya contaminación cruzada, el resto de la comida estará buena pero si eres celiaco/a es un sitio a evitar.
El tablero de la mesa marrón redonda grande está muy cojo
Si vas en un grupo de 5 o más, tenéis que elegir todos una sola categoría,es decir, uno no puede pedir carne y otro pescado

No es un restaurante apto para celíacos, no tienen ni idea del tema. Por otro lado, si vais un grupo de cinco o más personas, no podéis elegir a la carta, os obligan a comer todos lo mismo, eligiendo entre carne, pescado o vegetariano. No volveré en mi vida. Eso sí, amables en el trato.

Das etwas abgelegene vom Ortskern und einsam in einer unscheinbaren Straße gelegene Restaurant bietet ein Essen, bei dem man sich noch während dem Essen überlegt ein zweites Mal vorbei zu schauen. Fabelhafte Küche und ebenso tolle Gastfreundschaft.

Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff and a pleasant setting off the main street. The idea of small plates works perfectly when in a group. The prices are acceptable for a western tourist. The food itself is tasty, with plenty vegetarian options, which often lack in other Portuguese restaurants; however, it perhaps lacks that little something that would want to make me come back. The dessert was slightly disappointing (almond with fig croquante turned out to be a runny chocolate pudding with way too much honey in it and dried figs).

No recomiendo ir a este lugar si no sos local!!
Solo aceptaban tarjetas de portugal. Cuando llegamos ni nos miraron. Cuando fuimos a hablar con las personas de la caja, nos miraron con mala cara y nos dijeron que no nos podían atender hasta dentro de 20 minutos. Cuando mi compañera les hablo en portugues, ahi les cambio la cara y fueron un poco mas amables.
Al final nos fuimos porque no nos atendieron.

Arredamento inconsueto e piacevole giocato tutto sul recupero di oggetti vintage. Peccato per la pulizia del locale che pecca soprattutto sul pavimento e sul lavaggio dei piatti a mano eseguito in un lavandino minimale.

We went back on the second night of our 2night stay, because it was so so so so good! Laidback restaurant, that's built on the idea of love of food. So many and diverse things on the menu! Both nights we picked 5 items, and then had desert, which was plenty. Croquettes with fennel seeds and chestnut.... I wanna try to make that at home. Other highlights were the deserts, the lamb with pear and tartar of beets. The concept of sharing dishes is just plain Dutch "gezellig" and offer more opportunity to sample everything on the menu. Make sure to bring cash, no pin! Only minor point (because you want one), the server with the cap/hat is a bit stuck up, but the other servers were super super nice, took the time to explain and share their own ideas/opinions on food. Wanna come here again.

It was beautiful! Very authentic kitchen and waitress (she was very honest about the amount of food that we need to order, about typical Portuguese dishes, and about our way of saying obrigada.. :D) the food and the prices are not only reasonable but amazing. The atmosphere is very cozy and chic at the same time. It feels like being taken to another time. Thanks for giving us this moment!

Small but extremely delicious food with impeccable service. Lebendige, chaotische Küche mit viel Spaß am Kochen (Ja du kannst direkt beim Kochen zusehen, wenn du möchtest). Das Angebot basiert auf Gerichten ähnlich alter Suppenküchen (Taskas). Am besten Abends nen Tisch draußen reservieren. Ansonsten muss man eventuell weiter ziehen oder wie wir drinnen direkt vor der Küche sitzen. War zwar lustig aber auch verdammt heiß

Accueil chaleureux, serveuse souriante parlant parfaitement le français. Les plats « petiscos » sont a partagé à deux....ou à plus pour un prix raisonnable. La salle est atypique, les assiettes totalement dépareillées, et le concept vieille brocante est bien pensé. Rien d’un restaurant « aseptisé » mais tellement agréable.

Très bon accueil, chaleureux. Dîner très savoureux et concept idéal pour partager un repas entre amis (tapas à la portugaise). La formule « la cheffe s’en occupe » nous a permis de nous laisser surprendre. Le moelleux au chocolat est très bon ! Et les prix sont très raisonnables ! Je recommande sans réserve.

Well we read decent reviews of this place and decided to head down. Ince we got there we asked for a table for two to one of the staff and was directed outside. Just as we were about to sit a very rude woman came out and started shouting "NO NO NO NO NO" waving her index finger at us in front of everyone at the restaurant in an attempt to very rudely stop us from sitting down. I told her that the waiter directed us here and she didn't even apologise or make an explanation. Zero customer service and very rude manners from this restaurant. Will not come here again and there are many other good places to go where you are treated with respect and a smile. Avoid.

Délicieux ! Des trouvailles comme le jambon de thom! Tous les plats sont excellents et fins! Ici par hasard attirés en famille par son décentrement au détour d'une promenade. Des détails pour les ladies bienvenus. Sympathique. Aux vrais prix portugais !

Fantastic find! Spotted on lonelyplanet as highly recommended, and A Venda did not disappoint! Fresh and locally sourced food which was super tasty and very flavoursome. Homemade pineapple beer was to die for and staff were very friendly. We had a new chef who cooked our food perfectly. Definitely recommend if you come to Faro!

A very cosy, rustic restaurant with incredible friendly staff. This restaurant is akin to eating at a relatives home with each dish cooked to perfection. I would rate this as one of the top restaurants I have eaten at. We ordered five dishes and three drinks between two for thirty pounds!

Chef will take care of you for sure - you only have to come. A big convenience for us was a list of allergens as some of the group are vegetarians or gluten-free. A lovely place with delicious food, you'd better check it while your stay in Faro.

Lovely little Gem in the pubs area of Faro, best place we've tried during our 5 days trip. Staff is adorable and very aware of what's vegan on the menu. Kuddos to their homemade gluten free seitan like fake meat, crispy and tasty it's one of the most delicious vegan dish I had in my life.

This is the Portugese version of a Tapas bar; we had no expectations when we walked in off the street and took a table inside, but were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of everything.

Wonderful hidden place in Faro, Portugal. We found this place on our last day here just before going to the airport. What a super tasty food! All made fresh and I can tell it was one of the most beautiful meals I have ever had. Great vegan options, owners so warm and friendly, even made us fresh almond milk for coffee and I can tell it was a beautiful experience to drink this coffee being a coffee snob myself. When started to rain, they got big brolly out for us too, toilets super vintage look and clean. Inside its very vintage cosy feel. We will definitely come back when in Faro again. Thank you guys. Oh! And there is funny lady coming out when you sit outside, she lives just opposite door, she doesn’t like pigeons in front of her door but if you give her a smile, that smile she gives you back is wonderful.

These gentlefolk really.do care about the food which they prepare and serve. Nothing was too much trouble and the flavours were to.die for. As a vegan I felt cared for and my dietary needs were more than catered for. If you are in Faro and you are dining out then this place really is a must. 5/5 is the minimum these guys get. I finished my food.and wanted a coffee. Almond milk was prepared there and then to make a vegan coffee. Absolute heaven.

Coup de coeur du guide du routard!!! Et bien c'est juste !! Un vrai coup de coeur... très sympa, déco atypique et patron super sympa! Tapas fait a la demande! Délicieux.. . 4 personnes 4 plats de tapas, 4 boissons, 4 desserts, et 3 cafés 40 euros tout rond.... Je recommande vivement !!!

Recommended by our Hostel here, and with good reason. Cute little place, with honest, authentic cooking. Given our relatively short stay in Portugal, it was a pleasure to receive a well thought out taste of the local flavours in a quaint and welcoming setting. A must try for a stop in Faro that will in no way hurt your bank account

Péssimo! Só gostei da decoração e do etendimento.
Fomos 6 pessoas, o prato que escolhi não tinham, ouve um sumo que se pediu também não tinham e uque veio nos pratos ninguém gostou. Sai.mos daí e fomos comer noutro sítio.

We visited A Venda after reading rave reviews about this place. Sadly it was a great disappointment. We came to Faro visiting family and wanted to take them out for a nice meal. There were 6 of us 3 of us are vegans. The waiting staff were not really interested in working They mostly stood behind the counter talking. We ordered our meals and from the time the first main course was put down it took 35 minutes until we got the last main course. So we didn't actually eat together. There were several things that they didn't have on the menu. My wife ordered the bean stew which you would think would be hot, no it was cold straight from the fridge. And the chicken and chickpeas were not as described on the menu and we're inedible. We won't be going back there!!

Best food I've ever had. Had a great selection of tapas, all wonderfully seasoned and unique. The octopus was amazingly firm, too. The place is cozy and the staff is nice and helpful. All in all an incredible place to eat.

Warm and friendly. The lace is so nice, decorated vintage-style, and the food is delicious. The waiter helped us to calculate how much do we need to order and it was perfect: small, versitile dishes that come slowly, tastes great and not expensive at all! 10€ p.p with soft drinks. We had a GREAT time and most definitely will want to come back.

Wonderful small Portuguese place! They only use and serve Portuguese products, so no crappie international lemonade or ice tea here
You can have tapas either a small or a big portion, so you can decide whether to share or if traveling alone can try more than one thing at a time.
The bean appetizer and bread is on the house - a rear thing in these parts!
For evening recommend to make a reservation.

Small and sweety restaurant managed by 2 persons (during the lunch). Plates with too much olive oil, all is fried or warmed in microwaves. Waiting and waiting.. Sirs, if for some of you A Venda is a gem or a great restaurant.. please take a look around the world and write some objective writting. Plus, below the fridge there were rubish... Absolutely it s not a must neither a good restaurant.

Excellent restaurant.
C'est un restaurant qui propose un système de 'tapas' faite maison. Il y a des doses pour ce que vous allez commander (petite/grande) avec des prix très abordables (nous avons manges pour 4 cafés et desserts et plusieurs plat en grande dose pour 69 euros). Il faut choisir des plats et des accompagnement pour manger à sa faim. Les plats sont très bons et les accompagnements sont encore meilleurs (prendre le mix de champignons). Le service était très agréable et plutôt rapide. A tester absolument.

Wow what a gem of a place. There's competition for outside seats well past 10pm (inside has less competition). Recommend you have the chef look after you and they will treat your palette to an experience worth having. Game, fish ,it's all here so your bound to find something on the menu. Atmosphere is great and decor homely

Great food, quality products, wide variety of dishes, amazing olive oil ! The staff was friendly and the waitress really nice but don't come here if you're in a hurry.. The place is generally very busy and there will definitely be some waiting. Very nice place anyway!

Na A Venda pode petiscar pratos feitos com produtos locais e da época ou então levá-los para casa. Foi aqui que provei a melhor pataniscas de legumes e especiarias da vida! O sabor é único, bem como a decoração e o atendimento. Adorei!

Conceito interessante: tapas e pratos simples, num ambiente de mercearia (venda), com um complemento decorativo que lembra a "casa da avó". Infelizmente os petiscos não têm todos o mesmo nível de execução e originalidade, o que se torna especialmente agravante quando os preços são geralmente altos por petisco.

this place is great ! situated in a lovely narrow street with the neigbors hanging out on their stoop before it opens. the people are lovely and the service great . on top of that the food was really lovely . I tasted 3 plates that were all super nice
