The food here was very good. I loved the atmosphere, there was sitting inside and outside. The staff was very friendly too!
I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Italian food.

We had the best pizza and seafood pasta In Algarve! Yum. Friendly stuff and nice environment. One of the few restaurants that are open on Sundays.

The pizza's we had were competent if uninspiring, the waiter was attentive and it was surprisingly cheap for a tourist restaurant. Not great, not awful good price

El camarero es muy amable, en el sitio se está muy bien y cómodo. Es muy acogedor. La comida está muy buena, aunque los precios son altos.

Wie waren heute zu dritt im Cavaleiro essen und ich hatte mich eigentlich auf eine Pizza gefreut. Die Pizza war leider sehr klein und kaum gewürzt. Wir haben 8.50 und 12 Euro jeweils für eine Pizza bezahlt, die kleiner war als eine TK Pizza. Den Belag musste mal regelrecht suchen gehen, die Gewürze auch. Der Service war absolut unterirdisch! Uns wurde, da das Lokal voll wurde, einfach die Rechnung zu Tisch gebracht und wir quasi rausgekehrt. Unsere Getränke waren zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht mal leer. Als wir gingen wurden wir nicht verabschiedet und den mitgebrachten Hunger nahmen wir auch wieder mit. Es gibt einige aktuelle und schlechte Bewertungen bei TripAdvisor, die wir besser vorher gelesen hätten. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nicht weiter empfehlen.

Wir waren mit 2 Erwachsenen und drei Kindern im Cavaleiro und wir waren vollstens zufrieden. Der Service war Spitze und der Kellner hatte eine Engelsgeduld bis unsere Kinder ihre Wünsche durch hatten. Das Essen war super und die Preise der Lage und der Qualität angemessen. Det Blick über den Platz ist wirklich schön und es macht Spaß die Leute zu betrachten oder der Musik zuzuhören. Wir können das Cavaleiro nur empfehlen.

Leider muss ich einen geben, aus anstand hätte ich 0 gegeben, aber in wirklichkeit müssten es -5 sein. Alles schlecht, salat, pizza und der service unterirdisch. Niemals wieder!!!

Obsługa tragiczna. Po 30 minutach czekania na danie, kelner podał zupełnie co innego. Gdy przyniósł już krewetki to pływały one dosłownie w tłuszczu. Omijać szerokim łukiem! Nie polecam.

J’ai mis 4étoiles pour la qualité du poisson servi dans ce restaurant qui laisse paraître que c’est une pizzeria.. Il est vraiment excellent, seulement grillé mhhh un délice. Par contre c’est servi avec deux pauvres patates cuites à la vapeur, un brocoli et deux branches de carottes.
En revanche les serveurs ne méritent pas d’étoile l’accueil était vraiment nul, ils donnaient l’impression qu’on les embêtait DOMMAGE

Quando apareci á porta com uma criança pequena (2anos), fui tratado como se tivesse lepra. O casal que chegou depois de nós, foi sentado enquanto eramos ignorados por um funcionário que parecia completamente alheio á existência de tal criatura.
Depois de uns 20 segundos que pareceram uma eternidade, enquanto o dito funcionário olhava para uma sala interior vazia, e para uma esplanada ocupada a 60%, seguimos caminho. Com a estranha criatura que aquele restaurante desconhece a existência e que recusa servir.

Horrible experience! impolite, unfriendly and dull staff. The food is also bland. It just looks good from the outside. For vegetarians DO NOT GO, there is barely anything to eat. Overall would not recommend.

horrible. serveurs très désagréables, à croire qu’on les dérangeait. j’avais commandé uma bifana, j’ai eu à la place de ca un « sandwich » au poulet, entouré de deux tranches de pain de mie sèches. les pizzas sont minuscules. n’allez pas là bas

Estuve cenando en Agosto del 2018 y a pesar de que estaba todo lleno nos atendieron correctamente. La comida correcta para el precio. Recomendación la pizza 4 quesos y el atún. Como notable las botellas de aceite no están rellenadas como en otros locales.

Unfortunately the worst service we ever had.
Starters came after 45 minutes after asking for it. Drinks were totally forgotten. Pizza was just pure oil with wrong toppings.
Normally I don’t care so much, but I really do not recommend this restaurant at all.

Wenn ich 0 Sterne vergeben könnte, hätte ich dieses getan. Es kommt sicherlich vor das hin und wieder ein Menü nicht ganz so der eigenen Vorstellung entspricht. Aber diesen Essen war eine Frechheit, wie ich es noch nie erlebt habe. Ich hatte Spagetti mit Meeresfrüchten. Die Spagetti waren lauwarm und die Scampis... aus der Tiefkühltruhe zubereitetes Etwas... Ich weiss gar nicht wie ich die Konsistenz beschreiben soll. Matschig, pampig, einfach nur ekelig. Die Bedienung hat sich unser Anliegen angehört, mehr aber auch nicht. Also für uns war dieses Restaurant ein absolutes "geht gar nicht".

No llegamos a probar tan siquiera la comida porque los camareros fueron muy desagradables. Era tarde y nos dijeron que la cocina seguía abierta y que podíamos cenar. Una vez sentados nos dijeron que solamente podiamos elegir pizzas. Y la gota que colmó el vaso fue cuando nos metieron prisa para pedir, sin dejarnos ni un minuto de cortesia. La mejor decisión que pudimos tomar fue irnos de ese sitio.

Frozen pizza tastes more like pizza than the mush that they serve here. Better go to the pizzeria opposite. The only good thing was the tomato salad, which we turned on ourselves.

Staff unfriendly. I ordered a pizza.. definitely not fresh.. will pick a frozen supermarket pizza over that one any time! Didn't taste like anything. Our last evening in Portugal and wish we had picked a different restaurant!

Ongeïnteresseerd personeel waar geen lach vanaf kan of überhaupt een begroeting. Ober liep hard tegen mij aan en liet een bord op het hoofd van mijn vader vallen. (Uiteraard geen excuses...) eten is opzich prima, al kan je beter ergens anders gaan zitten.

A small Italian restaurant just off the main square ,sleek and modern inside
The Fish Soup starter was delicious and the Spaghetti with Sea food was stunning !

A las 6:30 pm no te sirven bebida,la terraza está a disposición de la gente que cene.En nuestro caso solo había una mesa cenando y no nos sirvieron. Maaaal!!!!! Camareros poco agradables.

1 Stern für das Essen, weil das auch das beste an dem Restaurant ist. Die Kellner unfreundlich und ohne Interesse an den Gästen!!

DON'T GO FOR THE PIZZA
I have one good word to describe pizza's flavor "paper".
If this is "truly Italian pizza" I don't want to eat pizza in Italy.
Fast forward 2 years there's no restaurant available so let's give it a second chance...
It has not improved if anything it's decaying not only food but also the facilities. The pizza is not artisanal and I have since been to Italy and I can guarantee that this is not "Authentic Italian Pizza". The atmosphere is also awful I was sit next to these glass that leads to the bathroom which means that the light was constantly going on and off every time someone washed their hands.

Vous pouvez vous y arrêter quand tout sera fermé à Lagos.
Le poulet Piri piri n’est n’y plus ni moins qu’un poulet grillé avec des frites.
Quand au porc palourdes il va vous falloir aimer l’huile et ....... ben pas grand chose en faite de cuisiné dans ce plat
Le service quand à lui et bien.

Dinner was very nice but your results may vary depending on what you order. We ordered different dishes to try them out (grilled fish of the day, fried shrimp, spaghetti with seafood and cataplana clama). The grilled fish was excellent! The other dishes were very enjoyable as well but their quality didn't live up to the grilled fish.

Recusaram servir-nos uma garrafa de água às 18h30 alegando que aquela hora apenas serviriam jantares... Rudes com os nacionais!
Face à postura imprópria, ilegal e oportunista, deixei a minha exposição no respetivo livro de reclamações e sugiro, sobretudo aos portugueses, que façam o mesmo quando sentirem este tratamento diferenciador na restauração do Algarve!

Comimos de paso y pedimos el típico pollo piri-piri del Algarve con patatas fritas (de las congeladas) y ensalada y también un pescado a la brasa que venía con patata cocida y ensalada. Comimos en la terraza que es agradable en una calle peatonal y el personal agradable.

No tienen coordinacion entre los camareros, uno dice que si, otro que no y nos echaron con malos modales de la terraza.
La educacion de alguno de ellos deja mucho que desear.

Food was ok but over priced and it took way too long between ordering and food arriving. Atmosphere was very loud. Maybe good if you have kids except for the very long wait, seems the kitchen is too small for the number of tables

Nourriture correcte, sans plus. Note surtout dûe à notre serveur qui fut médiocre :
- pain qui met autant de temps que les plats à arriver après 2 relances
- pâtes carbonara sans parmesan, qui lui n'est même jamais arrivé

Pizza war hauchdünn und extrem lecker, hätte auch direkt eine zweite essen können :) Kellner super freundlich und Toiletten sauber , dazu noch der Blick auf einen super schönen Platz, wenn man draußen sitzt. Weiterzuempfehlen.
