Best spot to watch the Sunset. Just amazing the combination of the sea and the sky, sitting here drinking a coffee and hearing the birds. 5 Stars!!!!!

Kate & Stimpy were very friendly, welcoming and easy-going hosts. We felt extremely comfortable at their place, which was very clean and well located. They give you all the space and freedom you need, as well as a lot of useful tips if needed. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Our stay as a couple at Arrifana Retreat was amazing. Beautiful, tidy and very clean house with a lot of space to hang out. Nice front garden, two balkonies and a terrase for relaxing hours in the sun with an amazing view. Big kitchen with everything you need. Great breakfast which can be enjoyed inside or outside. We felt really comfortable and home. Kate and Stimpy have been great guest keepers and where really helpful in every situation. It was easy to communicate and all our questions have been answered directly. We really recommend this place for staying in the most beautiful area of the Algarve. Arrifana beach is 10 min walk away. There are gorgeous hiking Trails and other beaches around and a lot stuff to do. If you have a car to get around, it´s the best place to stay. The house can be a bit noisy with other guests around, but if you take earplugs you will just sleep wonderful in the comfortable beds.

It is hard to put into words just how great Arrifana Retreat is but this is an attempt. My partner and I have never stayed at a place twice in the last 10 years - always looking for something more, but we decided to return to Kate & Stimpys' Arrifana Retreat because of how much we enjoyed it. From arrival, being greeted by such a welcoming family to the freshly baked cake and huge aray of tea! The beds are extremely comfortable ( we slept so well!) and the options available for breakfast are everything you could want and more. Homemade jam, baked cakes, local honey and fresh eggs. The house is the cleanist place we've stayed including hotels costing many times more. Arrifana retreat provides you with a welcoming family, a fantastic sleep, pristine surroundings, comforts of a home and the opportunity to meet other guests from around the world. The exceptional hosts go to great lengths in reccomending activities, restaurants and places of interest at any opportunity. Cannot recommend it enough. Thank you for having us!

Nous ne comprenons pas vraiment les bonnes notes de cette guesthouse. Après avoir voyagé 2 mois au Portugal et pratiqué de nombreuses maisons d h'hotes c'est l'une des moins sympathique que nous ayions visité. Tenu par un couplé d'anglais installé dans le. CoinNous avions l'impression de dérangé. la literie est plus que moyenne pas de produits de bain dans la salle de bain.et une insonorisation inexistante.. Nous entendions les gens ronfler dans la chambre à côté et nous avons été réveillé par les propriétaires qui parlaient avec des guest lors du petit déjeuner ... Le petit Déjeuner à faire soi même est composé de produits bas de gamme de Supermarché. Bière a 2 euros là Où partout elle est à 1 euros sauf dans les hôtels un peu chic (désolé mais vous en êtes. Loin) . Certainement super pour de jeunes surfers mais pas pour un couple à la recherche d'une maison accueillante ... Tout est question de feeling mais visiblement ce n était pas pour nous..nous étions content de partir vers une maison plus accueillante Nous ne recommandons pas

Home away from home! We were greeted by Stimpy and their little one. From the moment we entered they made us feel so welcome and at home. The location is excellent. Great beach nearby and delicious places to eat minutes away. The kitchen has everything you need plus homemade goodies, fruit, drinks, and all sorts of coffee and teas. The common area is a perfect place to relax. Rooms are spacious and clean with tasteful decor. The view is amazing. We will definitely return with the rest of our family. We highly recommend Arrifana to everyone!

It was an incredible stay at Arrifana retreat. Located really calm with a nice view over an undeveloped landscape in walking distance to Arrifana beach. Good comfy beds with a nice bathroom shower with water pressure plus hot if needed (in November;-). Nice terrace to relax in a hammock after a good surf in the arrifana area. Nice living room with everything you could wish for including fireplace for colder nights to relax in front of. The breakfast was wholesome with fresh baked bread, yummy. The hosts Stimpy and Kate are always there for any help or recommendations and are fun to be around. They made our time at Arrifana Retreat an awesome stay. Thx a lot and see you next time.

Everything was perfect. To get to the beaches its nice to have a car. But even without arrifana Beach is in walking distance.

Kate and Stimpy are welcoming hosts and run a first class Vila B&B. We were warmly greeted and well fed. The room was great and bed so comfy. You’ll love it here.

Kate's place is soooo nice! We felt like home just the moment we arrived. The house is very clean and silent. The breakfast with homemade bread and cake every day is a highlight! Kate and her husband are very friendly and try to help their guests all the time.

Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. man bekommt auf Wunsch Tips zu Restaurants, Stränden und Wanderungen. Ein Gemeinschaftsküche, in der man auch kochen und waschen darf, steht zur Verfügung. Das Frühstück wird selbst in der der Gemeinschaftsküche zusammengestellt, alles Notwendige ist da vorhanden. Wohnzimmer, Garten, Liegen stehen auch zur Verfügung. Wie wir dort waren , waren die meisten Gäste Surfer. Wir waren zufrieden und würden wieder kommen.

We stayed 9 nights for a surf trip and we're so happy that we landed there! The big continental breakfast with fruits and the yummy homemade cakes gives you more than enough energy to start the day. Everything was very, very clean and the hosts - Kate and Stimpy - are just awesome! We really enjoyed having a chat with them and they gave us a lot of useful advices for restaurants, hiking, surfing etc. ... Their presence really enriched our stay!

Qué lugar tan agradable! Bien situado, bien decorado, bien limpio y bien organizado. Aun así lo más importante es la simpatía de Kate y su marido, que llevan el lugar. Nos dieron buenas recomendaciones sobre dónde ir a comer y que playas visitar. Además Kate nos preparaba un pastel distinto cada día para desayunar. De los mejores pasteles caseros que he probado! Volveríamos!

Our stay at Arrifana Retreat was everything we dreamt about. Kate and Stimpy were phenomenal hosts and they did everything to make us feel welcome. They even made cupcakes for my girlfriend’s birthday – so sweet! The room and common areas were very clean, and the breakfast was simple but lovely and tasteful. We will definitely be back!

Located close to the centre, even though having a car is going to be helpful to get to nearby villages (otherwise cabs can take you there for 10/15 euros). The accommodation was nice and modern. However the room was small and overpriced compared with the average prices encountered during the whole trip. Arrifana in general seems to be a place for well-off surfers, willing to pay a lot for anything they do.
