Versteckt in einer Seitenstraße und abseits der Touristenmeile gelegen, findet man hier einen authentischen, zuvorkommenden Gastgeber. In stimmigem Ambiente serviert er exzellentes Essen und Wein zu guten Preisen. Bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in Alvor werden wir definitiv wieder hierher kommen.

The owner (the Chef) and his perfectly English speaking brother in law run this restaurant. When I asked what do you recommend, his answer was: the pork ckeeks (varkenswangen). He saw that I was reluctant so he asked did you ever in your life eat them. No was my answer and he answered then you should try them here. We have the best and they are delicious. So we gave him the benefit of our doubt and indeed delicious food. Together with the white wine of the house we had an excellent dinner which we finished with an excellent desert. The restaurant is situated in one of the backstreets and not in the "tourist mainstreets" with the very average restaurants primiraly focused on tourists.
Making a reservation is recommended.

Un restaurant mic cu renume mare. Câteva mese, amabilitate, rapiditate, mâncare gustoasă și nu este scump. Atât crevetii cat si tocănița au fost super. Aș reveni oricând

Deliciously morish tapa's by a fantastic chef, attentive service by a great host and generous glasses of lovely wine. You have to find Tapas & Uva on your next visit to Alvor

Mm, this is a hard one really! I recommended this restaurant to my wife and daughter based on previous trip advisor recommendation's and was very disappointed on so many levels. From other people being served before us to an extremely slow service. Waiting 90 mins for simple tapas is extraordinary but the quality of the food left us wondering why we chose this restaurant. Why the prawns are not de-veined is incredible really. I'm very disappointed leaving Alvor such a beautiful peaceful little corner of the Algarve with this memory of our last dining experience..Despite the marketing words About Tapas & Uva we won't be returning...

It's like being welcomed to someone's living room. Great food, attentive staff. We were lucky to get the last table, I definitely recommend to make a reservation to enjoy their lovely tapas.

What a fine little restaurant! We were lucky to get a table , advice is to make a reservation up front. Very affordable and delicious selection of tapas. The staff is nice and gave us good advice what to order. We are definitely coming back! Thanx for the nice evening!

Als je van tapas houd, moet je hier zeker gaan eten. Echt een genot. Kleine kaart, maar het personeel kan je zeker goed advies geven wat je moet bestellen. Het is een familie bedrijf en zo voelt het ook. Je word met veel warmte ontvangen en er word veel tijd aan je besteed.
Dus alles bij elkaar. Eten super, personeel super en de locatie is ook lekker een klein beetje afgelegen, niet in de drukke straat, en het is ook nog eens spot goedkoop.
Ook genoeg parkeerplaatsen voor de deur. Wel een zandveld.

This place is a gem in Alvor from the moment we walked in we felt so welcomed service was absolutely great couldn’t recommend a better place for tapas we ordered the mix board (cheese+meat ) it was amazing what topped it off was the pumpkin jam ,garlic prawns are amazing especially with the home made sauce makes so much difference , muscles were Devine , but last but not least the pork cheeks I can can not recommend this dish it’s a must!!! So tender melt in your mouth , we Will definitely be back and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s in Alvor 5* all round,tapas&uva keep up the great work until next time obrigado

We went to Tapas e Uva on our first night in Alvor, on a Wednesday night, and were greeted by Ruben, the owner. There was one other family in the restaurant and the evening outside was dropping to 8 degrees Celsius. We started with soup and then ran through four excellent dishes: cuttlefish strips; shrimp; black pork cheeks and Argentinian beef; all washed down by two bottles of the house red from Alentejo. The meal was truly fabulous, the shrimp flavoured with garlic and paprika and the Argentinian beef was really tender and tasty. All in all, the meal was wonderful and the service impeccable. If you can get to Alvor... Got to Tapas e Uva for a true, gustatory treat!

The food was great! Argentinian steak was phenomenal and the local sausages and ham was super good. The French fries with the Argentinian steak was bad and the green salad was a bit too salty. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice with soft jazz music as background music. It’s a cozy place with good food. I can really recommend it!
(Edit: I forgot to mention, we waited a bit long for the food. I think they were one man short in the kitchen. I’d be surprised if they were this slow every night)

Ir a Alvor e não passar pelo Tapas & Uva para apreciar umas tapas ou outra refeição é o mesmo que ir a Roma e não ver o papa, gost daquele espaço

Ci hanno fatto attendere 5 minuti sulla porta prima di darci retta per poi dirci che il tavolo da 4 che vedevo libero era riservato. Secondo me non voleva noi, poiché, avendo lasciato la macchina lì al parcheggio di fronte, al nostro ritorno quel tavolo sta ancora libero. Meglio siamo andati al " al tapas" , ottima esperienza

This restaurant is a bit out of the way of the "main" area of Alvor but it's definitely worth the trip.
The staff are friendly and helpful, advised us well on how much to order.
We had quite a selection, each dish was well presented and very tasty. Washed it down with a lovely bottle of red wine from the local area.
On par and perhaps better than other tapas based restaurants in the area, a great addition to our available restaurants.

Wer richtig richtig leckere Tapas an der Algarve essen möchte und zudem noch einen TOP Service wünscht ist hier genau richtig!!! Die Speisekarte ist schön überschaubar mit klasse Leckereien. Wir waren zu zweit dort und hatten Muscheln, Garnelen, Tintenfisch und als Nachspeise den Ziegenkäse mit Honig. Als Getränk hatten wir 1,5 L selbstgemachte Sangria. Für alle 4 Gerichte, die eine perfekte Größe hatten, und den Sangria zahlten wir insgesamt 45€ ohne Trinkgeld. Preis/Leistung ist hier wirklich sehr gut! Sollten wir wieder an die Algarve reisen essen wir definitiv wieder hier!

Loved loved loved this charming little place! My husband and I were here for a special evening and left delighted by the delicious food, the cozy ambiance and the welcoming and diligent staff, who told us passionately about their local delicacies and let us out with a smile late on a weeknight. Warmly recommend!

Acogedor, bonito y tranquilo, fuera de la zona más concurrida y turística de Alvor. Lo recomiendo a todas las personas que estén por la zona. Además el trato del personal a sido muy agradable. Volveremos sin duda

Todo genial. La tabla de quesos es abundante y espectacular, pedimos también una ensalada de pulpo muy rica, y carne argentina, perfectamente hecha al punto. Personal muy amable y atento, en un espacio muy acogedor. Para repetir.

Very nice service and good food! Not so much vegeterian food and if you don't want cheese you can not eat a lot. But the goat cheese was really great and the wine also.
You have also a good view and you are outside of the trouble.

Bonito espaço. O atendimento foi simpático e eficiente. Já o serviço foi muito demorado, o restaurante nem estava cheio para justificar o tempo que os pratos demoraram a chegar à mesa. As doses eram normais. Achei que o vinho a copo podia ser mais generoso na dose servida, ficava um pouco aquém. Para os preços cobrados esperava um pouco mais. Não deixando de referir que os produtos apresentados eram de qualidade.

Lovely small tapas bar and restaurant a little off the beaten track. Delicious food with a good range on offer. Daily specials in addition. Very reasonable prices. Second visit and will certainly return. Closed Sundays. Lunch and dinner rest of the week.
