Won't be back, the pizzas were poor and processed! The wine was disappointing, the rice undercooked, the Brussels sprouts not good. The seafood (grilled fish and prawns) were good, but the main water was unpleasant.

Read reviews of this restaurant and was expecting a solid experience. Was greeted with horrible service, and it never improved. Asked for a drink menu and was told to “just order something, you know what bars have in them.” Asked what was in the salads and server responded “don’t you know what’s on a salad?” Was excited for the experience, but we couldn’t even stay past drinks because the service was that awful. Stay far, far away.

Been going here since 1985 and always have the Special Salad.
It has changed over the years but is still good value.
Early years it was a small bar cafe but has expanded.
Today we also had the shrimps piripiri and ham on the bone.
Both good value.

Muy buena cocina. El bacalao al horno muy bueno y los mejillones con una salsa exquisita. Buen precio. No hay más que decir. Un 10. Muchos platos a elegir. Menú en español.

Wir kamen hier am frühen Nachmittag her um etwas Kaffee und Kuchen bzw. Eis zu uns zu nehmen, leider war dies durchweg enttäuschend. Der Kuchen war alt und trocken, die Eiscreme mit Eisklumpen durchzogen und der Eiskaffee meiner Freundin hat scheußlich geschmeckt. Ich war selten derart enttäuscht von einem Restaurantbesuch. Von den Mittagsspeisen könnte ich mir kein Bild machen, aber von Desserts würde ich hier dringend abraten.

친잘하다. 미리 예약해서 방문 한 곳이고 2일 전에 예약해서 기다림없이 먹을 수 있었다. 2인분으로 된 요리를 주문했는데. 정말 엄청나게 양이 많은 음식이 나와 당황했지만 너무 맛있었고 기분 좋은 저녁식사가 되었다.

So dieses Restaurant war Essen technisch eine Frechheit.

Das Ambiente ist schön und man kann draußen sitzen.
So das Essen:
Ich hatte eine Fischsuppe... sie war zwar heiß aber da waren mehr Nudel drin und trockene Crotons als Fisch.
Mein Kollege hatte Cordon Bleu mit Pommes und Grillgemüse.
War auch nicht der Hit.
Pommes waren okay
Cordon Bleu war verbrannt und klein.
Das Grillgemüse war nicht gut angebraten

I had a bad experience there with a lady (that said was the owner). Basically I was going to say hi to some friends that were in the tables outside, and the owner, that was there having dinner was Very rude and unfair to me. I wasn't being rude and I wasn't disturbing. Just wanted to let How unpolite was the treatment with a non-client.

A comida ainda se come, mas o atendimento deixa muito a desejar, falta de atenção com o pedido. Pedimos uma garrafa de vinho que veio para a mesa quando já íamos a meio do prato principal, depois de já a termos pedido umas 3 vezes. Claro que recusamos!! É a terceira vez que ali vou, e acho que fico por aqui, das 3 vezes o serviço sempre foi bastante lento.

We were here in december for lunch so it was very quiet. Anyway a nice place to have a break and a nice snack. The food is good but no more then that, for example: tasty shrimp cocktail but to much sauce, fishsoup contains to much macaroni. My advise to the cook: less is more.

Restaurant raisonnable en terme de tarif mais il ne faut pas s'attendre à des miracles. Ça reste un restaurant standard typiquement portugais. Belle terrasse avec réchaud extérieur et des plaids. C'est sympa à faire. Par contre très commerçant, ne pas se fier aux apparences

Schrecklich... Essen und Service!! Aufgetauter Fisch und die Muscheln schmecken vom Aldi zuhause besser. Kellner war aber an Feedback nicht interessiert.. Schade ... Aber bisher waren unser Erfahrungen in Portugal 10000 mal besser. Die Wärmelampe war das Beste hier.

Wir waren am 14.10. im Caravela essen und leider sowohl vom Service, als auch vom Essen maßlos enttäuscht. Meine Freundin hatte eine "Lasagne", die zu 80% aus Käse bestand, nicht heiß serviert wurde und auch geschmacklich äußerst gewöhnungsbedürftig war. Ich hatte ein Piripiri-Hähnchen mit Pommes und Salat, welches ebenfalls maximal lauwarm an den Tisch kam. Die übertrieben fettigen Pommes waren noch das geringere Übel, denn das trockene Hähnchen ist mir fast im Hals steckengeblieben. Alles in allem eine große Enttäuschung und absolut nicht empfehlenswert!

This is a great place, visited it twice and does not dissapoint. Price/quality is outstanding if you are looking for a good deal and delicious food this is the place you want to be. Whether it is the grilled fish the pasta or the pizza you will find something you like. Their sangria is also good and they have beer from the tap.

Schlimmstes Hotel aller Zeiten! Wir raten jedem ab, hier zu wohnen. Für 1 Tag wäre es okay, wir waren 9 Tage da und haben wirklich keine hohen Ansprüche! Meine juckenden Wanzenstiche werde ich wohl noch hier in Deutschland 14 Tage mit mir rumtragen... super Mitbringsel!---->
Sehr kleine Zimmer, wie oben erwähnt, haben mich Bettwanzen gebissen, ich habe ca. 40 Beulen am ganzen Körper, wir haben sie dort noch im Bett krabbeln sehen. Keine Reinigung der Zimmer. Ekelig!
-Dusche ist im Zimmer, der Abfluss hat sehr gestunken!!
-sehr unfreundliche Putzfrau!! Sehr aggressiv! Hat uns vor der Abreisezeit unfreundlich rausgeschmissen + in unseren Sachen gewühlt.
-Besitzer selten vor Ort, meistens nur die portugiesisch sprechende unfreundliche Putzfrau.
-sehr hartes Bett, wir hatten sogar blaue Flecken am Körper, nach 7 Tagen liegen dort.
-keine Klimaanlage, nur ein kleiner Lüfter, man schwitze den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht.
-Fenster konnten nicht geöffnet werden, die ganze Nacht (JEDE) bis 8 Uhr morgens laute Partyurlauber die brüllen, vor dem Fenster, oder die Restaurants, diese die Stühe + Tische lautstark rumzerren.
-im Klo ging die Spülung nicht richtig, man sah oft die Hinterlassenschaften der anderen, sehr ekelig.
-Keine Möglichkeit Badesachen aufzuhängen, war so klein und veraltet alles, einfach grauenvoll.

Acabamos de comer aquí y la verdad es que nos ha sorprendido. Hemos pedido una sangría, sardinas, una pizza y calamares, todo muy bueno y con buenas guarniciones. Solo destacar que han realizado el cambio de turno a mitad de la comida y algunas cosas se han retrasado mucho. La atención ha sido buena, destacar un camarero algo desagradable que solo quería atender a sus cuatro mesas. A pesar de eso repetiríamos sin dudarlo!

Je m'explique..
Le premier mot que les deux femmes ont eu à la bouche en nous voyant est '' cash '', ni bonjour ni même un sourire.
Il est dit sur tous les sites, que les femmes parlent l'anglais, c'est évidemment faux, cash est le seul mot qu'elles connaissent...
La chambre est située sur la rue principale de lagos et nous entendions des gens hurler jusqu'à 4heures du matin. Si vous cherchez le repos je vous déconseille très clairement !!
Les bonnes vielles dames viennent le matin à 10h devant la porte jusqu'à ce que vous partiez pour faire le ménage. Nous avons retrouvé un ÉNORME CAFARD dans le lit le dernier soir, sans compter les centaines de fourmis dans les deux douches..
L'eau du robinet sortait jaune, et l'odeur de la chambre était horrible ! Cela venait des tuyaux...
Bref, caravela c'est le mauvais endroit de vacances si vous cherchez du calme de la propreté et de la détente... Même si vous n'etes pas difficile niveau confort, vous voudriez partir aussitôt, tout comme nous !
Un seul mot, FUYEZ !

Durante nuestra estancia en Lagos fuimos a este restaurante y la experiencia fué desagradable. El trato del camarero muy malo, se comunicaba prácticamente por señas y siempre poniéndonos malas caras. Los precios no son malos, pero la comida bastante regular. Mis chipirones estaban sin limpiar, lo cual es bastante desagradable.

Plus d une heure d attente pour avoir nôtre commande... Aucune excuse aucune explication.... Tables non nettoyées entre chaque clients....c est à nous de dresser nos couverts.... et que dire de notre serveur !!! Pas aimable, fait la gueule.... bref si on veut passer un moment conviviale ce lieu est à éviter...

Dieses Restaurant hat garkeinen Stern verdient. Eines der schlechtesten Essen das ich je hatte ! Manche speisen waren noch roh, vieles war ungewürzt und die frittierten Speisen sind im Öl geschwommen. Nicht zu empfehlen!

Warte gespannt auf meine Bestellung, habe erst jetzt die vielen schlechten Bewertungen gelesen.

Zumindest habe ich mein Bier schon bekommen.
So, ich habe ein Cordonbleu bestellt.
Salat und Gemüse kann man schmeißen, die Pommes waren gut.
Das Cordonbleu selbst war mir etwas zu klein, es war von der Pute.
Mittig schmeckte es sehr gut leider war es rundherum angebrannt.
Würde das Lokal nicht weiter empfehlen.

Great little Restaurant. Place is always busy. Staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. Food was lovely. We had Sword fish and Lasagne. Both very happyily fed as the portion sizes were large. Sangria was very tasty which seems to me that effort is put into making it. It feel short of 5 stars as the sides were average at best. Well worth a visit. Also cater for infants and small children with their high chairs.

Ein Restaurant mit sehr schönen Fischgerichten, ganz besonders hat uns die Cataplana (ein typisch portugiesisches Gericht) geschmeckt. Dazu der passende Hauswein und mehr braucht man nicht.
Zu unserer Zeit war es ziemlich voll und teilweise haben die Gäste davor gewartet, was eigentlich ein gutes Zeichen ist.

Servicio nefasto. Después de esperar más de media hora le sirven a mi amiga la sopa fría, pide que se la calienten (tardan 10 minutos más ) a mi no me traen nada y a los 10 minutos les pregunto por mi plato, habían entendido que mi plato y el otro que faltaba eran para compartir (y yo mientras mirando)
La comida aceptable para el precio pero el servicio bastante malo.
No lo recomiendo.

We were badly surprised. Food was quite poor here. But the place was looking good. We didn't enjoy it. We went there at the end of our staying in Lagos and it was bad ending. We took all traditional portugeese dishes - two soups, two starters and two mains. And from that whole set, only one starter was good and met our expectations. It was kalamari. Beside that it was really poor. Recommend to aviod this place

Pas bon! J ai pris une salade avec du poulet et le poulet était avarié c'est inadmissible de la part d'un restaurant. Au vu de l'odeur le cuisinier devait le savoir et certainement la viande devait coller, mais même pas peur. Donc resto à éviter ou à fuir c'est un piège à touristes

Funcionários mal dispostos. Pedimos 4 pratos diferentes entre e peixe e carne apesar de vir em quantidade decente, todos os pratos sem sabor, mal confeccionados. Aconselho virem com uma panela de paciência pois o tempo de atendimento, duração da entrega das refeições e até a conta são super demorados..

Serveur désagréable au possible, les plats vous sont balancés à la figure sans un mot, plat qui sont d’ailleurs immangeables car beaucoup trop d’ail, et comme si tout cela ne suffisait pas, le serveur essaye de se garder un petit pourboire en oubliant 10€ sur le retour de monnaie. A éviter.

Serviço muito fraco. Fizemos o pedido por volta das 20:15h. Passados 45 min. o funcionário dirigiu-se à mesa para perguntar de novo o que tínhamos pedido, dizendo que era só encontrar na cozinha os pratos.
Já passou mais de uma hora e um quarto e ainda não começamos a jantar, insistindo o funcionário que não se esqueceram do nosso pedido.
Lamentável. A não repetir.

Wir kamen zum Mittagessen. Wartezeit war in Ordnung - nicht länger als bisher hier im Urlaub.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Essen gut. Kann die vielen schlechten Bewertungen daher nicht ganz nachvollziehen.
Preislich ebenfalls völlig in Ordnung.

O restaurante é bonito e tem uma atrativa esplanada agora a comida fresca mas muito mal confecionado batata frita congelada tudo demora muito e os empregados esquecem dos pedidos tudo muito lento tudo mal disposto a refilar as toalhas de mesa muito sujas as pessoas a fumar na esplanada a incomodar os não fumantes e também não é muito barato melhores restaurantes por perto

Horrible restaurant. We ordered (among other things) some bread. We received two rolls and after eating both we got charged double. Also we received a plate with some sardines pasta and butter in plastic containers without ordering. After opening one of them, we got charged additionally. The pizza (like most other people describe) felt like heated in microwave, the waiter was extremely unprofessional and rude. We received second meal while eating previous one and had to eat with the same cutleries. Avoid if possible especially when there is such a great restaurant next doors.

Ich kann in dieser Bewertung nur über das Restaurant sprechen, da wir lediglich dort essen waren.
Zuerst wollten wir hier nicht einkehren, da man uns unmissverständlich zu verstehen gab mit einer 5er Gruppe nicht erwünscht zu sein, geschweige denn wenn man in so einer "großen" Gruppe auf die Terrasse möchte.
Weil die anderen Restaurants jedoch alle voll waren ließen wir uns doch darauf ein.
Die Atmosphäre drinnen ist ok und gemütlich. Die Kellner haben uns scheinbar ignoriert, denn wir mussten 15min warten ehe wir eine Karte bekamen und weitere 15min bis wir bestellen durften. Man hätte gedacht, der Kollege hätte unsere Bestellung schon aufgenommen.
Die Karte ist klein und übersichtlich aber die Speisen lesen sich alle sehr lecker.
Der Wein den wir hatten war gut, auf das Essen mussten wir nicht lange warten. Dummerweise wurde meine Bestellung nicht zubereitet, sodass ich warten musste während meine Freunde schon aßen. Jedoch muss man sagen dass ich dann nicht lange auf meine Spaghetti Scampi warten musste. Immerhin ein plus.
Das Essen insgesamt war nicht schlecht, aber definitiv auch nicht gut. Es fehlt an liebe zum Essen. Das Gemüse zu Fleisch und Fisch schmeckte wie aus der Dose oder eingelegt, das Fleisch war trocken und der Tintenfisch schmeckte streng.
Die Nudelgerichte waren gut.
Alles in allem kann man hier zwar essen gehen, sollte sich doch aber lieber ein anderes Restaurant in der Nähe suchen, denn es geht weitaus besser als hier.

Sehr lecker wer Hunger hat soll das Lamm in Rotwein probieren 13€...Für die Dorade mit Gemüse und Salat knapp 11€ war echt lecker waren auch schon mehrmals da und können die negative Bewertung nicht nachvollziehen.

Polecam zdecydowanie, bardzo miła atmosfera, zwłaszcza wieczorem, w sam raz na romantyczną lub zwykłą kolacje we dwoje, obsługa wydawała się obojetna ale dosyć sprawnie poszło zamówienie, czekaliśmy około 20 min na dania, ja małże a drugie Burger, bardzo nam smakowało i brzuszki mieliśmy napełnionie , ceny także przyzwoite.

Waited over 1 hour for a pizza and some spaghetti, though there was no one here. Probably the chef made siesta. The menue card looks old and trashy. Most Times this is the first Signal for a bad restaurant. They have all the (simple) meals in english, french, german and portugese.
The tables are very close to each other so the person from the next table talking trough me. Felt very uncomfortable!
The food is ok... nothing special. The pizza isn't worth mentioning. At least it was hot but burned.
the waiter is very friendly but has no change for 100 euro.

Very basic and cheap, but this place has a vibrant charm and atmosphere. Centrally located! Good choice.

Prato bem servido, comida saborosa, lugar agradável. Só não ganhou nota máxima porque a Coca-Cola tem preço de uma lata de 355ml, mas só é servido uma taça de 250 ml.

Good location - shops and beaches. Friendly service. All necessities available. Meet lots of different people. Prices are fair. Definitely would like to go back.
