Restaurante muito bom, comida muito elaborada, com ótima apresentação, saborosa, mistura de cozinha tradicional e moderna. Ótimo atendimento. Com show de fado tradicional muito bom sem couvert artístico.

A restaurant that has got it right. Alma Lusa has managed to achieve that perfect balance between great tasting Portuguese food, the fantastic prices that have always made Portugal so affordable, beautiful decoration and vibe, as well as super friendly staff (not to mention an unbeatable selection of wines!). A must if you're looking for a fine dining setting that maintains a traditional charm, at more than reasonable prices.

As a local I've been to basically all the restaurants in Lagos and this by surprise is my new favourite! The staff were professional and kind and the food was absolutely divine as was the wine (great wine selection).

It turns out that this restaurant has only been open for a few weeks after they remodeled the interior space. They did a nice job as it is a very nice environment to eat in. The service is top notch and friendly. All the food we ordered was amazing, starters, main course, and desert. The best dinner we have had so far in our three weeks in Portugal. We will most likely go back for another dinner before we leave Lagos. Highly recommended!

Encontramos este restaurante después de ver varios cerrados y esa fué nuestra suerte, decoración muy fina y camareros muy agradables, para la pinta que tiene el local, no es nada caro, pués la comida y los postres estaban buenísimos, y de precio genial.Comimos arroz con pulpo y marisco, y entrecot de ternera "mar y tierra" , todo muy bien preparado y emplatado, dos postres tb buenísimos, agua pan aceitunas y paté 47euros.Cuando tengo pagado 33euros por dos hamburguesas y unas patatas... Supongo que repetiremos antes de acabar nuestras vacaciones.

We went there for dinner twice. ( we only spent two nights in Lagos) so if you go to Lagos you shouldn’t miss this place. Excellent food, excellent wine and excellent service!

Das Restaurant wurde total renoviert und erstrahlt in völlig neuem und modernen Glanz. Das Essen ist erstklassig! Wir hatten leckeres Thunfischtartar und danach Pulpo und Corvina (Fisch) als Hauptgerichte. Dazu einen leckeren Gin Tonic. Die Kataplana am Nachbartisch sah auch extrem verlockend aus :)

Anduve 3,5km para venir, estaba cerrado por "casualidad", dos días después tras pasar por allí seguía cerrado, nn k kojo es esto k dice k está abierto y esta más perdio que el carro de Manolo Escobar yasta no le pongo 0 estrellas por qué no se puede, conclusión: da pena si te gusta ver sitios cerrados este es tu sitio

Gutes kleines Restaurant mit kleiner Auswahl dafür aber sehr gutem Essen
Wir waren hier einen netten Abend zum Fußball schauen und Abendessen. Das Esssen war sehr lecker aber nicht gerade große Portionen. Keiner von uns war wirklich satt. Die Qualität war sehr gut und die Preise ok.
Die Karte ist in vielen Sprachen vorhanden aber leider nur eine Seite.

A really nice small restaurant with friendly waitresses (and the most beautiful woman I've seen in Portugal) and delicious food. We tried the curry chicken, lamb and gnocchi and we enjoyed every bit of it. The wine we chose was strong and had a decent flavor, although I don't drink usually, it was good. I'm maybe a bit biased but I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

A nice, small restaurant with a lot of charm. The restaurant is beautifully and elegantly decorated. The service was very attentive, but not too pushy. We had a starter, main course and dessert. The highlight was definitely the "Pulpo". Incredibly delicious! My gazpacho was also very good. Overall, I can highly recommend the restaurant, especially if you want to eat a little more "chic" Portuguese. There was also fado music at our evening. It was great!

The food here is incredible, truly! The staff were friendly and super accommodating about our arrival time (somewhat close to when they kitchen closed for midday break).
The decor is very nice, table settings lovely, presentation gorgeous and, as noted, the food was all spectacular.

For me is the best restaurant of Lagos, because it's different from all the others. Not so central and in the land of confusion, but just to 2 kms far from the historical centre. Good food, good wine and very kind persons. I like a lot.
Ho amato molto questo ristorante di Lagos, un po' defilato dal centro storico e dalla confusione. È il migliore in cui abbia mangiato a Lagos. Cucina sopraffina, di gusto, di un livello più alto e ricercato rispetto allo standard della cittadina turistica. Arredato con gusto (lampadari stupendi), ha un ottimo menù e una buona carta dei vini e nonostante il buon livello non è caro. Da provare assolutamente. Buonissimo, davvero. E ottimo servizio, con personale gentile, attento e mai distratto.

Nous réservons dans ce restaurant à 20h30 et arrivons à 20h00, la salle est à moitié vide mais on nous demande de revenir... OK !
Entrée très bonne, en plat poulpe bien présenté mais qui baigne dans l'huile et pour le dessert nous n'avons jamais eu les cartes donc au bout de 30mn d'attente nous somme partis. 70€ pour 2 en Algarve c'est cher et rien ne justifie ce prix, ni les plats, ni le lieu, ni l'accueil. Passez votre chemin.

Tot nu toe het beste restaurant waar we hebben gegeten in Lagos.
Mooi modern ingericht, heel vriendelijk personeel en de lekkerste carpaccio en steak gehad die wij ooit hebben gegeten.
Voor 3 gangen en een kan Sangria waren wij een kleine 40,00 pp kwijt.
Een absolute aanrader om heen te gaan, maar reserveren is wel een tip!

Com bebés é impossível! Para além de se notar claramente a decepção do staff ao entrar clientes portugueses não dispõem de cadeirinha para bebés. A comida era boa e bem confeccionada, sobremesas ótimas. O preço é aceitável. Mas a experiência geral foi terrível, pedimos para aquecer a sopa do bebê e demorou uma eternidade, tive que jantar a vez com o meu marido para podermos pegar na bebê, inclusive dar lhe a sopa ao colo, não conseguimos desfrutar da refeição por falta da cadeirinha que faria com que o bebê ficasse mais confortável e sossegado.

Great service, large portions of food with spectacular taste and a long wine list. Highly recommend the pork cheeks with mashed potatoes, but all the dishes we've tried so far have been amazing.
You might need to make a reservation to get a table as it's quite popular.
This restaurant will definitely become a standard place to visit every time we come to Lagos!

Looks great from the outside. Food looks amazing presentation amazing but it tastes of nothing! So disappointed. Had to reserve 2 days in advance to be told to sit at the bar for an hour so we would spend money ordering drinks. Followed up by getting octopus that was boiled and no seasoning. As well as vinegary lamb shank and rubber like steak. Not even any salt on any of them. Waiter gave me salt and pepper and said for me to season the food myself.

Péssimo serviço. Fomos recebidos de forma mal educada e mesmo após chamarmos a atenção para esse facto, a educação não melhorou. Por mais de uma vez ouvimos reclamações de ser agosto e estarem cheios. À segunda falta de educação levantámo-nos e fomos embora. Claramente não precisam nem gostam de clientes. É uma vergonha que ainda tenhamos hotelaria assim no Algarve.
Adenda: penso que a resposta em baixo demonstra cabalmente a arrogância a que me referia. Insisto: atitudes como estas são uma vergonha para a hotelaria. O comentário que fazem, para além de mostrar que não sabem entender os clientes, é de uma falta de profissionalismo atroz. O que diz sobre o insulto que me acusa de ter feito, bem como da reacção de quem me acompanhava, é, pura e simplesmente, mentira.
Para quem, como eu, não gosta de ser mal tratado e pedir por favor para ser atendido em agosto num restaurante, sugiro o restaurante indiano que fica mesmo ao lado. Excelente comida e, ao contrário deste, com um serviço simpático, profissional e atencioso.

Wir waren leider sehr enttäuscht! Wir haben uns schon auf einen schönen Abend dort gefreut und extra, da wir eine große Gruppe waren, einen Tisch für 13 Personen reserviert. Leider kamen wir 10min später doch dafür wurde kein Verständnis gezeigt, es wurde behauptet das wir unseren Tisch vor mehr als einer halben Stunde reserviert hätten und einfach gesagt es sei jz kein Platz mehr für uns da, Pech gehabt. Schade ich hätte dort sehr gerne gegessen.

Dica super fofa que recebemos ao chegar no hotel. Ambiente cuidadosamente preparado para receber bem, cardápio que dá vontade de experimentar tudo, e comida deliciosamente preparada. Nossa experiência não poderia ter sido melhor. Staff atencioso completa o serviço. Certamente voltaremos antes de deixar o Algarve!

the restaurant looks amazing and the dishes looks good too.
However it was really disappointing when we had our starter.. the prawn was raw! it was transparent in colour when i bite into it. We were given a new one and it was fine.
My main course was the Fish & Rice ... i cut the fish in the middle and OMG it was transparent again! it is 100% uncooked under the skin! We were shocked and reported this to Daniel (the owner) Again. We didnt finish our dishes and left.
It is really shocking and disappointing as we would expect a better quality and basic properly cooked food in nice and good reviewed restaurant. The evening was completely ruined ....
Hope this really can be improved ....

wow, well, something has changed but it's still more than awesome. Sexy waiters - superchulos - and they even know (a bit of) English to converse and to be fun with. I had the best Sauvignon Blanc in the world accompanied by Poruguese fish and prawn and crab. Not my habit, I even overcame my anxiety of gaining weight and had a chocolate cake with pumpkin ice cream. I scream for another visit (Thursday!)

Nos encantó! Tanto como el trato, el servicio y la comida excelente.
El personal fue muy agradable con nosotros. Fuimos mi chico y yo, no teníamos reserva y sin dudarlo nos acomodó una mesita. ( aunque era pequeña) pero no tuvimos problema ninguno. Cenamos de maravilla. Pedimos un poquito de paté para picotear algo antes de nada... luego de segundo unas vieiras con arroz que estaban bastante ricas, el arroz estaba en su punto, de tercero un t-bone le dije el punto en el que lo quería y lo trajo exactamente como quería... y para finalizar la mesa pedí un moscatel exquisito !!! El vino que tomamos tbien estaba riquisimo!!! Les doy un 10 en toda regla y lo recomiendo para todos los públicos!!!

Alma Lusa is a restaurant that has existed since 1992. However, in its current format (new owner, new menu, new decor) it has only been open for 2 months.
This is a place to go to if you'd like to experience quality Portuguese food at traditional Portuguese prices. This is the "hidden gem that the locals go to" that you've always been looking for.
The menu is well set up and easy to understand. There are 9 starters with an average price of 7-8€.
For main dishes there are 7 fish options, 7 meat options and one vegetarian option with prices ranging from as little as 10€ to the most expensive option, the T-bone steak at a really low price of 18€. There are also dishes made for sharing like the Tomahawk steak, the Seafood Cataplana or the Octopus Rice.
We were a group of 5. We had starters, mains and dessert. The food was amazing. Everything came out with stunning presentation. Everything hot as it should be and on hot plates. Portion sizes were perfect.
If you're a wine drinker then this is probably the best possible place you could go to in Lagos as the wine list is divided by wine regions and covers almost all of the major wine regions Portugal has to offer with various options in each region. Wines also have a really low markup.
Service was attentive without being overbearing. Waiters and owner are friendly and quick to exchange a smile or a joke.
The bathrooms were squeaky clean and when you walk in towards them you can look into the kitchen to see the kitchen staff calmly going about their business.
We went on a Wednesday night which coincidentally happened to be Fado night so we were treated to some melancholic song and guitar for the better part of the night.
An absolute gem. We will definitely be returning.

Dommage qu'a la fin du repas notre fille n'à pu nous inviter comme elle le souhaitait car le restaurant ne prend pas la carte bleue pour des raisons obsures de connexion au réseau cb ! Nous ne pensions pas qu'un restaurant avec nappe blanche et serveur un peu guindé vivait à l'âge de pierre en obligeant un paiement en espèces et chercher un distributeur en pleine nuit !

Delicious food and wine - probably the best we've had in Portugal, and great service. It's a bit disappointing they don't take cards, and there's also a cover charge in addition to the cost of bread & olives etc.
