I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. We were able to eat in the garden, which was beautiful. Our waiters were friendly and pleasant. I got the bbq plate which was the best meat I had my entire time in Portugal, which is extremely high praise. The BBQ plate is ENORMOUS, so be warned and be happy they have takeaway boxes. What I didn't eat was more than enough for my husband and I to share the next day for lunch. Like with any great meal in Portugal, end the night with some port wine.

Ausgezeichneter Angus Rind Burger 200g und echt krosse, selbstgemachte Pommes, dazu 2 frittierte Zwiebelringe und etwas Grün. Sehr leckerer Dip. Auch das Dessert mit dem Schokoladen Walnuss Brownie mit Vanilleeis (sehr gut!) ein Genuß. Atmosphäre im Laden sehr schön, große Weinkarte, wundervoller Kamin, schönes Schummerlicht im Raum. Bedienungen sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Nice terrace, friendly staff, got the food quickly and it is DELICIOUS! Really love the pepper steak and also the strawberries with ice cream are great. And our daughter (1y) loved the fish and chips.

Very much a traditional Portugese restaurant. I had chicken breast and mushrooms in a cream sauce with fries. Both my husband and son had fillet steak, these came on a stone hot plate, which I've never seen anywhere else before. They had tongs, so at intervals they would turn the steak until it was cooked as they liked. The novelty here was they were given bibs, great fun.

You eat twice here. First with your eyes and then with your taste buds. The garden at the back is a hidden gem. Food was fantastic. Will be back for sure!

Have been several times over last 15yrs and tonight was left standing in almost empty resturant whilst lady in charge shouted at the the lovely lady trying to accommodate us , tried 2 seat us in hallway. Not happy. Luckily we left before we gave any money. Never again will we even consider going there. 100% disgusted. Went to Beer & co instead. Fabulous warm welcome and they found somewhere for us to sit.

Absolute class! The food was excellent, worth every penny, cooked to perfection. They were also very fast with the orders compared to other restaurants I visited during my stay. Very friendly wait staff and a lovely atmosphere with a garden terrace seating option.

I always love Vagabondo, I used to always get steak here, the T-Bone is amazing but now I like to have the platters. Last night we had the BBQ platter and the seafood platter and shared them. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were very friendly. During the summer I would recommend sitting on the terrace out the back, it's much more comfortable and not as hot.

Excellent for families, very friendly, attentive and engaging staff both adults and children had a good choice of food. Very good value for money.

Been here previous years and it has been lovely, lovely food and good staff. Tonight the food didnt seem fresh (frozen veg) the staff didnt seem very interested in their customers either. Such a shame! However their Paesano Resturant was just as good this year, lovely food and staff Thank you.

Worst meal all holiday were so upset because we went 4 years ago and loved it my veg was under cooked and it looked like just frozen veg the potatoes were taste less and hard my son had fish and chips and the fish was just a cheap frozen one we went on a Sunday don't know if it was just the wrong night but it has put a real downer on the end of the holiday ☹️

Maderia skewer was massive and delicious made for two people it's a sword of meat that hangs from a hook clamped to your table. Throughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Our family frequently visit this restaurant when we are in Alvor. It is one of our firm favourites based on the quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. We have yet to have a bad meal here. It's well placed on the main strip in Alvor and prices are in line with other restaurants locally. Definitely worth adding to your evening out itenerary.

Simply the best. Best staff. Best food. Warmest place on a cool evening. Coolest place on a warm summer evening. Definitely try it but you may have to book at busy times.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Gutes Essen aber wenig Auswahl. Preislich eher im mittleren bis höheren Bereich. Im Winter/Frühjahr sehr kalt im Restaurant da nur mit einem Holzofen geheizt wird.

After going to the vagabondo for 10 years and absolutely adoring the place, I came to find my visit this year was met with unexpected change and not in the good way. The old huge crispy battered spicy buffalo chicken wings were swapped for these minuscule shrunken thread like wings, in what tasted like Heinz baked beans sauce ( not to mention the wings were freezing cold in hot sauce, anyone with a brain cell knows putting cold into hot doesn't necessarily make cold hot) . Whatever, we sent them back untouched after a half hour attempt to get attention of staff. Received our main course of spare ribs, chips and onion rings. The ribs were the most tough things I've ever put a sharp knife through ( my partner even got the ribs over the fillet steak because he thought it would be more tender, he was wrong). They were edible though and we are not picky so we are them. The onion rings were to die for. Then the chips, these soggy bowl of absolute fish. I'm not joking when I say that. The chips tasted like they were cooked in the oil of 2 week old fish. Which honestly I wouldn't have minded so much, if I was eating fish with my meal but unfortunately I was not and it totally ruined my meal of pork. The sangria was lovely, and the veranda is beautiful as always, but I'm disappointed to say I wouldn't return for the food.

Delicious food, beautiful tree in the middle of the seating area in the back. Amazing fish, really friendly staff. I would recommend eating here if you are in Alvor.

We have eaten here repeatedly over the years. Beef garlic and lamb shank are outstanding. No problems recommending.

Okish. Not a mistake to come here, but there are better places on the street for meat. Burger was not in a burger bun, but a regular roll, the fries were not crispy. The fillet was ok, but no salt flakes on it and the sides very bland. Service was good, but couldn't overcome the mediocre food.

Excellent service and very good food for a decent price. Have tried everything from Spareribs to Seafood kebab and best of all, the Seafood Casserole!!!

While the food Ed served promptly the main course which consisted of various meats was over cooked and dry.

A restaurant catering for the tourist trade so don't expect either good food or good service. It's a case of getting your food to your table as soon as possible and then getting you out quickly. Also we had to share our dinner with a battalion of ants that kept appearing. I told the waitress and she wiped them away, but 2 minutes later they were back end masse. The explanation was that they drop from the over head orange trees. Oh,that makes it ok then. We found the restaurant to be lacking in general cleanliness and wouldn't recommend it as there are loads of other restaurants in town.
