Long established traditional Portuguese restaurant near the Tivoli Hotel. Just across the road from O'Artista sports bar so ideal for killing two birds with one stone if you're into sports.
Nice friendly atmosphere with the owner being entertaining all evening. Friends had persuaded us to go as having the best clams in Lagos. Two of us shared them as a starter and with a basket of bread to mop up the gorgeous sauce they went down well. For my main course I had a baked bacalhau dish that was very good, well worth contending with the occasional large bone present.
The acid question is, would you go back. The answer is, definitely on future visits to Lagos.

Assez bien. Cuisine maison. La dorade était vraiment bien, prix corrects mais le steak à la portugaise était médiocre. Le serveur est très sympa.

Muita simpatia e humildade adoramos o amigo Alexandre e toda a sua equipe. Frequentamos o Floresta já há bastante tempo e sempre fomos bem tratados . Preço justo e serviço 5 estrelas. Comida bem confecionada, faz lembrar a comidinha de casa. Sabor muito natural. Obrigada Floresta por existir.

This a lovely little place to visit. Nothing fancy, nothing pretentious. Just great food, well prepared, well cooked and very tasty. We have been eating here for over 8 years now and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Ordered calamares and omlette. The cheese omlette was great, the fries not so much. The calamares unfortunately were not so tasty they were tastless and a lot of grease. Just order unfried food and it will do.

Sehr leckeres Essen, freundlicher und persönlicher Service, war mit Abstand die beste Erfahrung, was Restaurants in Lagos betrifft. Und das ganze auch noch sehr preiswert.

En pleno centro de Lagos un sitio con comida buenísima. Hemos pedido cocktail de gambas, gambones a la plancha y pez espada con salsa estilo Algarve. Todo buenísimo. Obrigado

We wanted some great seafood not too far from out accommodation and decided to try out this place. We were actually quite pleased with everything from service to the awesome quality of the food. The fish was well cooked and very tasty. Would go again.

Loved this place, we went a couple of times whilst in Lagos. The food was delicious and the wine was fantastic. The owner and host was wonderful, joking with us and making sure we had a good time. Would recommend it for lunch or dinner.

Tradicional restaurante português, com atendimento excelente. O proprietário Alexandre é atencioso e brincalhão. O peixe, Espardate da Algarvia superou as expectativas , com textura sólida, às vezes lembrando carne de porco, às vezes , frango. Recomendo !

A happy little accident! Our first choice was closed so we ended up here and couldn't have been happier. Great authentic Portuguese food with the best service. The food was plentiful and delicious. We will definitely go back.

Typowa portugalska restauracja, bardzo sympatyczny właściciel. Kuchnia portugalska, kilka dań dnia plus karta. Ceny w normie. Porcje duże, smakowite, dobre wino. Wnętrza typowe portugalskie, czysto, łazienka w porządku. Obok nie na parkingu, trzeba szukać miejsc przy ulicy albo przyjść pieszo. Polecam.

Just for wine. It seems that the it is family owned and there is two sides, one side for eaters (table cloths) and another side for more quick food eaters. Clean place and prices Portuguese standard.

The host Alex a lovely friendly guy who entertains all the diners with his great banter
Prices here are so reasonable and the restaurant is usually very busy so it is advisable to make a reservation in advance

Third time in Lagos, and we come often to this wonderful restaurant, you are greeted as you enter by the friendly owner or by one of his friendly staff,the owner makes jokes and makes you feel welcomed during your meal ,which are really good and at a good price. For us this is the Best restaurant in Lagos.

Comida caseira.
Recomendo o Camarão à casa e o Bife de Pimenta.
A sala de refeições é um pouco antiquada mas está-se confortável.
O dono é um senhor de idade muito bem disposto. A cozinheira é a esposa.
Encerra à segunda-feira.
Há uma boa relação qualidade-preço em especial se se comparar com os restaurantes da avenida principal.

Restaurante familiar. Cenamos el bacalao de la casa y una lubina a la brasa que estaban deliciosos y bien presentados. Los dos platos, un aperitivo de paté de sardinas, un agua y dos cervezas fueron 28.5€. buen precio para una ciudad como Lagos, que está muy orientada al turismo extranjero

Espectacular comida. No hay que darle vueltas a otros lugares, la comida es de altísima calidad y sabores de los de antes, que ya no encuentras. Casero y preparado para ti en el momento. Tardan un pico, claro, unos 30min, pero ponen aperitivo. Éramos 9 comensales y salieron los 9 pasos a las vez. Con niños, estupendo. Camareros súper amables. De precio fenomenal. De hecho, hemos repetido. La primera vez, hace 13 años, que nos enamoró la tortilla francesa increíble y sigue con la misma altísima calidad. Pez espada, almejas, gambas fritas, bacalao, sopa de peixe...ESPECTACULAR

Genial la comida. Tarda un poco porque la hacen en el momento pero te pinen un aperelirivo de queso muy rico. Merece la pena la espera..... Comida sana y saludable.No está en el centro pero se llega super bien y merece la pena. Típicoo bar de toda la vida.

Отдыхали компанией в Лагосе. Жили в аппартаментах около этого ресторана.
Очень вкусные сендвичи и кухня. Очень вежливый персонал. Обедали там много раз. И еще бы пошел. Очень советую. Не пожалеете. Очень хорошие и отзывчивые люди -хозяева ресторана.
Русский повар. Не далеко от пляжа, буквально пешком 10 мин.
Ставлю 5 звезд. А хотел бы поставить все 1000000 звезд.

Durch einen Zufall sind wir hier gelandet...aber wir waren sehr glücklich, dass wir hier gelandet sind.
Ein portugiesisches Familienrestaurant mit offener Küche und absolut sympathischen Menschen, die uns den Abend verwöhnt haben.
Das Essen war traditionell portugiesisch, sogar für die Kinder gab es Pommes und Schnitzel... empfehlenswert sind die „Muscheln nach Art des Hauses“... ich habe noch nie so leckere Muscheln gegessen.
Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar!
Wir werden in unserem Urlaub nochmal wiederkommen !!!

Милый ресторанчик на тихой улице вблизи центра. Очень радушный прием и простой, но вкусный традиционный португальский ужин, не хватало только лёгкого музыкального фона. А в конце, как бонус, каждому по бокалу портвейна в подарок от хозяина.

Si quieres morir de hambre A Floresta es el sitio, pésimo servicio incluso para sacar la bebida la cual esperamos durante 40 min. Dirigido por un buen hombre y su ayudante el vago por excelencia. En resumen, que a ni me peor enemigo mando aquí.

Escape the crowds in central lagos, for a neighbourhood feast. Fantastic restaurant in a local neighborhood. We had swordfish, tuna and lamb chops, all incredible. Staff very friendly, overall great evening.

This is a really nice little restaurant, Alex the proprietor appears to do everything himself, you have to be prepared to wait awhile, but it's worth it. We had steak, cooked as we requested and very lean, prices very reasonable too, and a glass of house wine is only one and a half euros, our third visit to Lagos and only just found this restaurant but glad we have. For anyone looking for plain simple food with friendly service, perfect

A comida é normal nada de especial, as pessoas também são agradáveis mas não esperava o contrario. Resumindo é um restaurante razoável, dentro da media do normal. Após ver os outros comentários que eram excelentes, fiquei um pouco desiludida, é preferível não porem comentários a iludir as pessoas.

Great service, good food and reasonable prices. The older man who served us was very friendly . The couvert was olives cheese butter bread and pate.
The soup was particularly delicious! We ordered too much.
Edit: after a week eating many, many fish soups this place wins the "most delicious fish soup" competition!

Lovely local restaurant. Food was fantastic and very good value. Grilled sirloin was exquisit and only €9.20. Friendly staff. If you are staying at the Tivoli hotel it is a must as it is right on the doorstep. We went three times during our ten day stay and only found it on day six!!
