Very busy during peak season as it is quite small however this feels cosy. Decor has a french feel and the food is varied and good quality, would definitely return. Good, friendly service, thanks.

Small, homely restaurant with friendly service & great food. I had the fish soup & lamb stew which was perfect for a cold January night! The stew was delicious, a large portion of delicate melt in your mouth lamb - yum!!

Excellente adresse ! Le patron est très sympathique et de très bon conseil, la carte très intéressante on ne sait que choisir. Nous nous sommes régalés et le vin était également extra! Pensez à réserver la salle est petite!

The food here was absolutely incredible and for the quality, I would have paid more!!!! Highly recommend the Portugees Steak and the Pork with Plums.... sensational!!!

Friendly restaurant with fabulous food Tiny family run restaurant adjacent to the Taxi rank. Not your brash lights cold décor but a warm cosy place with the most friendly team you could meet. Having read that booking is best we phoned late afternoon and was called back in a few minutes following a no answer. You are not rushed in this restaurant and don’t expect speedy service, everything is cooked to order, it’s a relaxing homely place. The standard pre starter of bread, sardine pâté (chargeable), cheese and olives came with our order of water and Vinho de Casa Tinto, a perfectly enjoyable house red wine for €9 a bottle. We had a main course of Prawns cooked with garlic to share as a starter, not necessarily the best tasting prawns, but body shells removed, ‘de veined’ and cooked to perfection in a totally delicious sauce with lots of garlic, yummy. The main course of Roast Pork, Crackling and Plum Sauce with apple was scrumptious, a sirloin stake with Roquefort cheese sauce ordered rare was cooked to perfection and ‘melting in the mouth’ tender. These were served with a plate of Cheesy Potato’s (to die for) and vegetables, nothing went back on the plates, testament to totally delicious meal, not fantastic, just very, very good for a total of €50.50

Absolutely amazing family run restaurant in lagos. Stunning food. Very clean and staff are friendly and accommodating. One of us is diabetic and one a fussy eater and they dealt with everything perfectly. Food is outstanding and beautifully presented. Staff are friendly and polite. Will be coming back! Thank you

We've been coming here for 30 years on our annual trip to Portugal. Donna Fernanda has been the proprietor here since we first came. She has been a constant in an ever changing world. Great fresh food. I particularly recommend the grilled sea bass or the lamb farmer style. Definitely not a fast food stop. Have a bottle of wine or a coffee and let the time drift by just watching the world go by. Easier to find by looking for Cafe Do Ze. It definitely ticks all my boxes.

Excellent steaks, with good fries and veggies on the side. House wine is great value at €9.60 for the bottle. Run by a lovely couple.
