The setting is just great: beautiful house, sitting around the pool, with a beautiful, lush garden. Great service. My husband had a steak, which he loved! Panna cotta and Créme Brulée were also delicious.

A true hidden gem , a beautiful setting just 20 metres from the main rd but you wouldn't even realise that you are in the town, relaxed but attentive staff that are only surpassed by the quality of the food, a restaurant to come back to time and again .

Amazing, food, service, venue absolutely spot on, couldn't praise this place more. The pork and clam pot is the best meal I've ever eaten. 10 out of 10

Absolutely amazing! Great atmosphere, incredible food, and amazing staff who are welcoming and friendly. Took incredible care of us so we went back for a second visit and it was just as awesome as the first. The steak on a stone is too good to be true. They are also associated with the Belmira Cruz wine shop down the street, and their house wines are unbelievable! Don't skip the wine - we took a few bottles away with us and I wish we'd grabbed more. 100% recommend GumTree!

The best food in Carvoeiro (period). Very warm and nice atmosphere, especially outdoors and around the pool. The staff is genuinely friendly and down to earth. Seafood cataplana was our favorite.

Een echte aanrader!! Nieuw maar zo vriendelijke bediening. Heerlijk eten! Iets prijziger maar zeker de moeite waard voor een zalig avondje uiteten! De locatie is echt zeer mooi, verzorgd en romantisch. Dineren rond het zwembad. Toffe bar!

We loved discovering this restaurant in Carvoeiro where it’s not that easy to find a good restaurant. The restaurant is new so I would like to encourage them because you can feel that they are putting lots of efforts into it. The place is nice, service is good, and regarding the food we had pizzas and they were tasty. One small disappointment was the butter that that serve with olives and the rest in the “coberto”, we paid 2 euros for a standard, still in packaging, butter from the supermarket. Gives a feeling of cheapness. But we enjoyed the night and will for sure go back another day to try their grilled meats!

A little gem, A new restaurant, it's just behind the Irish Bar, excellent restaurant, we have been three times, varied menu, very helfull and friendly staff, brilliant with the children, without doubt the best place we ate all holiday, recommend booking as it's so good it will become very popular.

A fantastic new restaurant in Carvoeiro which was so good that we went twice in one week, once with my fiancé and then again with our whole group which was 9 in total and both occasions didn't disappoint. I was a little apprehensive the first time as we have been coming to Carvoeiro for many years and have a number of restaurants that we will always try to visit. Gum Tree is now very much part of that list of favourites as it caters for a romantic evening or big groups/families. It's a very relaxed restaurant and the food is fantastic with a wide choice on the menu. Cesar is a great host and made us all feel very welcome. I wish these guys all the best for the rest of the season and beyond and look forward to eating here again in 2019.

What can I say, restaurant has only been open 4 weeks. Always a gamble when you can’t see the restaurant from the road. Caesar assured us we would be impressed. The food and ambience were amazing, we can’t wait to come back. Trust me, take a gamble, you won’t be disappointed!!!

We was looking for place to eat and we was so surprised. First we thought it will be too expensive but we gave the chance and we are not disappointed at all. Prices are adequate to the portions of food and to the place where you are. In the terrace swimming pool is available. Menu is suitable for everyone. You can find fantastic pizza, pasta but also you can try typical Portuguese cuisine. Kids menu available - soup of the day was vegetable soup and it was fantastic! Personel polite and helpful.

This is a good restaurant the food was excellent I had lamb chops which were plentiful and my wife had steak on the which she wanted to cook to her own taste, however the waiter took it upon himself to turn the steak and cut it up into pieces. The house wine although good was over priced.

Excellent restaurant with appetizing food and relaxing atmosphere. Beautifully decorated, this upscale restaurant is off the beaten path of the crowded tourist areas. Service is quick and served with a smile and the waiter takes the time to explain items on the menu. On a scale of one to ten, I would give this a fifthteen.

Fantastic restaurant, great presentation and super friendly staff at a reasonable price, super happy with our meal.

Lovely setting with glorious wine. The syrah was excellent. Unfortunately the evening we were there was cold and so was the food.

Our last night ....... Cold food staff problems 1.hr 15 mins to be served never asked for drinks then to be told I'm sorry the chef has left and the other staff are learning so the food is not its usual standard It was disgusting Only got 1 star as it would let me leave it blank

This place was so good, we ate there all 3 nights we stayed in Carvoeiro. The squid and king prawn kebabs were delicious.
