We have been to Taste many times and have always had excellent food and service. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants in Carvoeiro. Recommend their music nights on Thursdays too.

Average food when we went for Tapas night and when we wrote a review on TA mentioning dishes offered were not on the advertisement they blatantly lied and said we were offered them. Much better and less pretentious restaurants in the area so won’t be visiting again.

Very disappointing. We are regular visitors to this normally excellent restaurant. We are 120 mins waiting for main course and no apology. It's a shame as we really like the food.

The Resturant is a bit pricey for amount of food you receive but the food is of good quailty. Amazing live music on party nights we attended a Abba/70's night.

My family had a wonderful meal here two nights ago. Having eaten at a few restaurants locally they are clearly trying to do something a bit different and slightly more contemporary than their peers. The food was fresh and delicious and the restaurant light and spacious. I think we got what we paid for but it certainly wasn't as cheap as some. We very much liked it.

Wat een fijne ervaring. De meeste restaurants met een meer culinaire kaart zoals Taste hebben minder focus op kinderen maar daar heeft Taste ons zeker positief in verrast.
Een leuke kleurplaat en prima keus qua kindermenu.
Zelf hebben we ook onwijs heerlijke starters en verrassend lekkere vis gegeten.
Top: focus op kinderen; vriendelijke, servicegerichte bediening gekleed om door een ringetje te halen; fijne ambiance; toilet ook leuk in stijl van restaurant.
Tip: Muziek stond nu op 1 punt in het raamkozijn, zou prettiger zijn als de speakers wat meer verdeeld zijn over het restaurant.
De spotverlichting zou naar mijn idee wat sfeervoller kunnen.

Hands down the best eating and drinking experience in Carvoeiro. Friendly waiting staff, varied and tasty menu and superb cocktails. Live music on Thursday a lovely bonus. Excellent prices too, considering the wonderful experience. We will definitely be returning.

Employees were the best. The mini burgers as entrée are really good. Tried two salads as main dish and was disappointed with the size, specially after seeing other main dishes from other tables that had much bigger portions. Had a nice complementary port wine in the end.

Best meal of my life!! Every course was beautiful, vegetarian and gluten free food was clearly marked and the service was second to none. You need to go here. The only issue is I’m still full the next day as i couldnt stop eating. Wonderful in every way!

Mi pena fue descubrir este restaurante la ultima noche de mis vacaciones en Carvoeiro. Esta situado en la salida del pueblo en dirección Lagoa lo cual es cómodo para aparcar y al mismo tiempo esta lejos del bullicio del centro. El restaurante es bonito y elegante con terraza exterior con mesas. Pero sin lugar a dudas lo mejor fue tanto la comida como el trato que nos ofrecieron. Tanto platos como tapas te ofrecen en este restaurante acogedor lo cual se agradece pues lo normal en la mayoría de sitios es que te ofrezcan solo platos grandes. Y por si fuese poco también debo decir que fue quizá el sitio donde mejor relación calidad precio me ofrecieron en los días que estuve en Carvoeiro.

This is a gem. Serves great food at reasonable prices. Moved premises a few months back and the new setup is lovely - smart/modern, but not over the top. They have weekly specials, for example Argentinian steak night. Very popular so best to book. Owners and staff very attentive. Highly recommended.

Mein Mann und ich kennen Ciprian Silvasan noch aus seinen Zeiten in Ferragudo und haben seinen Werdegang im Laufe der Jahre mit Bewunderung verfolgt. So waren wir auch nicht überrascht, ihn und seine Frau Nicola als Inhaber des TASTE - Restaurants wieder zu treffen.
Wir waren vor kurzem mit 15 Freunden aus Ferragudo dort zu einer Feier und haben uns rundherum wohl gefühlt. Es ist ein sehr schönes, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Lokal mit liebevoller Dekoration.
Der Cocktail-Empfang war gelungen und die Auswahl der Cocktails bemerkenswert. Bei der Bestellung der Speisen fiel uns die Entscheidung aufgrund der Vielfältigkeit der Menu-Karte schwer. Die Vorspeise, das Hauptgericht und auch Dessert waren einfach nur spitze und auch optisch ein Genuss, wovon wir uns überzeugen konnten, denn fast alle hatten etwas anderes bestellt. Die Getränkekarte ließ auch keine Wünsche offen.
Nicht unerwähnt lassen möchte ich auch die zuvorkommende Bedienung des sehr freundlichen Personals - allen voran das Ehepaar Silvasan.
Vielen Dank für einen wunderschönen langen Abend in diesem tollen Restaurant.
Wir ssind zweimal jährlich in Ferragudo und werden mit Sicherheit dann immer auch den Weg ins TASTE finden!

Lieux super sympa, nous avons mangé le meilleur repas dans le sud du Portugal, les plats sont vraiment bon, personnel accueillant et professionnels. Terrasse impeccable pour un dîner romantique. A faire si vous êtes de passages. (De préférence faire une réservation pour obtenir une table à l'heure d'affluence )

Le tapas sono tutte buonissime. Dai gamberi ai calamari, dai mini hamburger alle seppie. I camerieri sono super gentili. Il servizio è un po' lento ma ne vale la pena. Lo consiglio!

Lovely restaurant recommended by our dear friends who live locally. Staff and food excellent. Decor and toilets beautiful. Don't eat too much beforehand as portions are good. Chilli chicken and leek balls are delicious. My husband had the Monk fish and I had the salmon (coconut risotto was a dish on its own) absolutely full of flavour and freshness. Our friends had the lobster salad and the lamb shank. The lamb fell of the bone and the lobster salad was fresh with light dressing and fresh mango. Sadly we were all too full to appreciate a dessert. Have to say the raspberry daiquiri was so lovely and too easy to drink! Would recommend this restaurant staff helpful and was great for children. Thank you so much for making our last night in the Algarve a special one. We will be back.

Pour une arrivée à 20h, l'entrée, pourtant simple, a été servie à 20h 45. Quant aux plats, il a fallu attendre une heure de plus.
Les lulitas (petites seiches) servies avec un aïoli léger étaient chaudes mais trop cuites, façon carton. Par contre les mini poivrons du patron frits dans une huile légère et parsemés de gros sel, accompagnés d'une bonne mayonnaise, étaient remarquables.
Côté plats les spaghettis sépia aux crevettes (trop cuites également) étaient, hélas, noyés dans leur sauce, donc vite écoeurants. La viande du jour (bife da vazia) accompagnée de frites de patates douces (très bien faites) et d'une sauce au porto ne mérite que des compliments. Mais pas les frites molles et grasses et le fromage figé servis avec le hamburger (bonne viande).
Desserts très passables. Vin rouge de la vallée du Douro, de bonne facture, malheureusement servi trop réfrigéré; le très long temps d'attente des plats aura au moins permis au vin de se trouver à une meilleure température.
Service très aimable et en anglais, même quand on fait l'effort de s'exprimer en portugais...
Pour conclure, la cuisine qui se voudrait d'un certain niveau s'accomode mal de l'affluence touristique. Et même si c'est vieux jeu, accepter des clientes en soutien gorge avec leur compagnon en short de bain, à 21h, ce n'est plus de la restauration, c'est de la rentabilité.

ein klein wenig hat unser Navi gesucht, dann aber ein Restaurant mit super nettem Personal und ganz tollem Essen gefunden. Reservierung ist vor allem an den Themenabenden empfohlen. Bestimmt besuchen wir das Restaurant noch einmal in unserem Urlaub.

Leider kann ich nicht so in den höchsten Tönen schwärmen. Haben uns sehr auf das Essen gefreut- jedoch durchweg bei 9 von 11 Personen ein Reinfall auf dem Teller :/
Sehr schade! Das Personal war sehr nett und sehr bemüht - bis auf die deutsche Chefin(??) die Ihre Gäste auslach - NO GO!!!!!!!

Kleiner, ausgezeichneter Gruß aus der Küche, Vorspeisensalate schön angerichtet und wirklich gut, fantastisches Trüffel-Pilz-risotto als Hauptgang und kreativ anders aber gutes Kokos Panacotta als Dessert. Dazu freundlicher, aufmerksamer Service, kurz ein gelungener Abend!

Waren 2mal dort Essen, morgen ein drittes Mal.
Sehr aufmerksamer Service, die Weinkarte hat alles was Portugal zu bieten hat,-eine sehr gute Auswahl an Landestypischen Weinen.
Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich und strukturiert
Die Portionen reichlich, das Fleisch hervorragend zubereitet.
Die Spare Ribs super zart.
Das Filet vom schwarzen Schwein auf den Punkt.
Beim zweiten Mal waren wir zur Steak night da.. Perfekt!
Es empfiehlt sich vorab zu reservieren.
Die Auswahl an Cocktails und namhaften Gin's ist ebenfalls erwähnenswert.
Das Team ist sehr gut eingespielt und aufmerksam.
Man bekommt Qualität statt Masse, und da zu gut kalkulierten Preisen.
In Carvoeiro das Beste Restaurant/Essen was wir in 8 Tagen. Aufenthalt genießen durften.

Had a family meal here, had to rearrange our table to make a bit more comfortable, although was still cramped and had to ask for some dirty glasses to be replaced.
We ordered 3 soups, 1 of which didn't show up, even though waiter repeated order correctly. Soup came later but no apology. Oven potato starter was good. Duck and ribs were also good, steaks and vegetarian burger were average. Brownie and banoffee pie were great.
Overall a fairly average experience, wait staff seemed a bit rushed and absent.

The best meal so far in Carvoeiro, I can not fault it, Staff were extremely friendly and helpful with the menu and wine list. Restaurant was very clean and bright. Service was excellent .
I had a fillet steak and my partner had Tapas. Both meals were to die for. The presentation of the food was excellent. We were so impressed we book a table for the next night, I can see us spending quite some time at this restaurant in the next few weeks.
In summery excellent food at reasonable prices, staff are very friendly and very attentive, well worth anyone going to try for them self's. Highly Recommended! I'll be Back!

I could just eat the courvert all day with their delicious saffron allioli! Steak night Saturday 15 euro .. gorgeous chips (bare in mind I am by no means a chip consumer) fantastic every time .. last year they did the most beautiful lobster and prawn ravioli in a blue cheese sauce that was to die for... wonderful staff and service - remember to book!

We zijn hier geweest op onze laatste avond van onze vakantie. We kregen een mooi plekje op de benedenverdieping. Als voorgerecht hadden we brood met verschillende smeersels. Het brood was héérlijk vers. Er is een speciale kaart bedoeld voor kinderen. Er is genoeg te kiezen voor ze, o.a. zelfgemaakte kipnuggets. En deze waren wat taai maar verder zeer smaakvol. Het kip gerecht van mij en het visgerechten van mijn vrouw waren heerlijk en mooi opgemaakt. De desserts waren ook dik in orde. Je kan hier prima eten voor een zeer redelijke prijs!

Our first eat-out on arriving. This place was recommended and is well worth a visit. Food was tasty..( ), well presented and service was pleasing. The atmosphere was convivial and we listened to live music while we dined.

Even if you are having a bad night in the restaurant never take it out on your client...... food was bad I had the monk fish which I had to cut through..... we waited two hours for our main course with no apology just *we are very busy *lol this is May not even the season..... waiters just some advise when passing tables always look to see if you can fill a glass or offer another drink if the glass or glasses are empty..... and the most important thing when you seat the client get a drinks order right there and then because a client who has a drink even if it is a bottle of water does not notice the time going by..... AND as there is only one person taking orders maybe ask your guest if they would like some couvert again then they will not notice the lack of service AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST the guest sitting at my table have many villas that they are renting out in carvoeiro and the others work daily with expats

Das Restaurant ist absolut empfehlenswert, der Service ist hervorragend und das Essen sehr gut. Im Restaurant hängt ein Schild "Do what you love, love what you do" - anscheinend das hauseigene Motto.
