after reading the reviews my friends and I were very nervous about going here but it was better than we could’ve hoped. The apartment had a door straight out to the pool which was very lively as there was always a hen, stag party or a group around. It was just at the top of the strip also so it wasn’t too loud to sleep but very handy if anyone needed to head home easily. Would highly recommend!!

Awful place, fine for a stag do but dont take your family here. Absolute carnage. Doors getting hammered at 5 in the morning, lift doors smashed open cause someone got stuck, bodies lying in the hallways, no hot water, TV remote missing, rooms not been painted since 1985. 50 euro deposit per person when all the items in the room would probably max out at a tenner. Pool bar area like the floor of a nightclub. Took us 40 minutes to find the room no clear directions. 1 room key between 4 people cause they dont have anymore at reception?! Elderly couple crying at reception cause theyd been booked in there by their travel rep. Honestly couldn't wait to get out of the place.

Peaceful and quiet remote although there are bars and restaurants within a mile of the apartments I would return and recommend, there is a beautiful Indian restaurant about 3 km away called Mr Singh absolutely excellent

Bardzo duży basen, pokoje nieźle podniszczone ale bardzo czyste. Smaczne ale skromne śniadania. Bardzo dobry stosunek jakości do ceny. Bardzo imprezowa okolica nie najlepsza dla rodzin z dziećmi.

Resort com uma excelente localização para quem deseja estar perto do famoso strip, em Albufeira, com fácil acesso a praias e ao Centro antigo. Apesar disso, devido às suas amplas zonas verdes é sossegado! Muito procurado por estrangeiros!!

I stayed here last weekend on my stag, we all read the review's and was dreading it. Omg how we were wrong. Absolutely loved it, I'd highly recommend this for a stag, hen or any other group booking. Its the perfect location, right on top of the main strip, plenty of places to eat around it. The pool is a fab size, great atmosphere around the pool in the days. We stayed in the poolside villas. We bought drink from the supermarket, put it in the fridge and went back and forth during the days. Often leaving the door open and didn't have any trouble at all.

Concrete blocks for beds. Wall to wall loud bars and drunk teenagers and young adults. Misleading holiday brochure pictures. Broken lift....i was on the fourth floor. Poorly maintained. Bar food fit for those who are that drunk they dont k ow what they're eating.Filthy place. Over run by stag and hen dos'. I wouldn't even give it one star. If you have any standards...not the place for you. Even the taxi driver said " not the best place".. holiday from hell!!

My 2nd time here if you have the ability to get a villa go for that there fantastic.
On this visit I was put in a where my equipment could not fit through the door. The room was tiny for 3 grown persons to use.
Lucky enough to other guests leaving a more suitable room became available on the 3rd night

not a place for familys
staying here with my partner.
the apartment is big and a massive balcony facing the pool and extensive gardens.
quiet most of the time, blocks 1 and 2 the better ones for quiet.
close to everything..bars, food, the strip is very busy with hens and stag dos but we had no trouble..we stayed around the top end kings cross pub perfect for sitting in the sun with a beer.

Good for stag or hen do, but other than that wouldn't go near it. Great location, however, unfriendly staff, dirty, mouldy and noisy. Floor above us had doors kicked in during our stay.

Absolute kip .We went out for dinner myself husband and 2 sons and came back to our room which was robbed.Our suitcases had locks which were broken into.This has to be an inside job as no forced entry so a key was used. Reception staff totally rude and useless .Avoid this place like the plague totally unsafe

I had returned from my holiday in Vilanova resort in Portugal. On the morning we were suppose to return home to Belfast Northern Ireland we awoke to find that someone had burgled our villa they stole my wife’s handbag and all it’s contents including her purse cash rings and three very sentimental chains one of which was given to her by one of our sons who died two years ago plus various cards. This left my wife very distressed and very upset as you can understand. I had my travel bag and my backpack stolen also it contained both of our passports and a sum of cash. We went straight to the reception to report this and ask if they had CCTV they told us they had but could not show us it and that it was not a break in. I could not discuss this as the transfer driver was also in reception to take us to Faro airport we had to rush back to the villa and gather our belongings as there were other people on the transfer bus waiting to go to the airport also. We felt very mistreated at reception they just told us that we would have to go to the GNR Police. At this point we had to go and board the transfer bus the driver of the bus was very helpful he took us to the airport and he did not leave us. He then ran by foot to the police station with us he done everything possible to help us before he had to leave us to return to work. We would like to thank this man who went out of his way to help us. The GNR Police sent us back to the airport to Ryanair information desk. They informed us that we could not travel and we would have to go to the Irish Embassy in Lisbon. We then had to travel to Lisbon which was 450 KM from Faro we had to get a taxi to Faro bus station to get to Lisbon by bus which was a four and a half hour journey when we got to Lisbon the Irish Embassy was closed. We managed to get in touch with a member of staff from the Irish Embassy she informed us that we would have to return the next morning and we would need a police statement which the GNR police did not give us in Faro. We then had to go to the local police in Lisbon and again report the break in. A police officer then helped us to find a room for that night. I will be sending an email to this police officer without him we would have been totally stranded. The next Morning we went back to the Embassy they took the police report and sent us to get passport photos which we did we then had to go to a solicitors to get them signed we returned to the Embassy and got travel documents but were told we could not travel to Belfast from Lisbon we had to travel to Dublin we did this when we arrived we the had to travel another 150 KM to Belfast in the early hours of the morning. This has to be one of the worst holidays I have ever had. We had to use most of our savings not counting the we lost in the resort and also the stress my wife had to suffer.

If i could give no starts I would. Absolute joke of a hotel dont know how its still open! Arrived with 2 children on Tuesday, got robbed on Thursday morning while in bed sleeping turns out balcony door was broke and people next door was robbed too the night before. Passports was also stolen so had to travel to Lisbon for emergency passports all day Friday and spend 300 euro for them to tell me at check out on Saturday passports have been found dumped at the pool on Thursday morning! Taxi man said its the only hotel there that gets robbed so sounds abit too strange for me. Staff said we cant get any money back as we cant prove we had things stolen like its our fault they dont have cameras ? Like I said an ABSOLUTE JOKE of a place the sooner they close down the better. If i could give 0 stars I would.

Just got back from a week in Villanova. I seriously would not recommend staying here. It’s dirty smelly rooms never cleaned beds never made and your be lucky if your beds are made. No hot water took over 24hrs for maintenance man to arrive. The beds are shocking basically a mattress on a concrete slab. The office staff really don’t care and have no people skills. The place is run down and in need of serious modernisation and I have no idea why it’s got a three star rating I wouldn’t give it one star. There rotten food stains everywhere, broken glass lose carpets on stairs.
People in the villa got broken into in the middle of the night while asleep in there beds, everything stolen.
I wouldn’t pay the extra for breakfast it really isn’t worth.
I would never go back there and people seriously read the reviews. Suppose it’s good for stag weekends etc but not great for any one else. Drunken men making noise all night running around complex naked.

Apartment great size, everything you need. Gentlemen on reception needs to go back to charm school.... I didn't feel safe in the resort. Very dark and open at night going back to apartment. No security around. I don't think I'd stay again. Needs updating. Lots of stars and hens.

Our apartment was robbed while we where out. Staff didn't care, wouldn't call police and wouldn't let us review the cctv. While making our complaint a couple where in the lobby making the same complaint. Also a pipe burst in our room and we had no water forthe last 12 hours of our stay. Couldn't flush toilet or shower. Informed hotel staff and they said they would let maintenance know but they never came. Worst place I have ever stayed.

Just had a two week break at the Vilanova with my husband and had a great time. The apartment was basic but very clean and the staff very friendly. Even though near the strip, you hear little noise from the bars and clubs. Would definately reccomend this accomodation.

Incredible value for money comfortable stay! Tips
1. dont use super market down stairs aldi and lidl just down the road.
2. Dont use cash points near hotel never accept their guaranteed exchange rates.
3. I reccomend car hire from airport then these locals.

Una estrella porque no puedo ponerlas negativa.... vaya sitio sucio, descuidado, antiguo, incómodo.... Además gente desnuda y borracha dentro del recinto y yo con 3 niños pequeños. De vergüenza, nada recomendable. Sin duda el peor sitio para viajar con niños. Nada recomendable ni repetible. Tratando de borrar la experiencia de nuestra mente.

Vilanova is a basic but cheap resort it's great out of season any problems they will sort it out for you. Been December and February both time's had a good time, you have everything you need right on your doorstep

Friendly,helpful staff and lots of space in the room . However , there are also some negatives. Old buildings, not very clean, instead of duvet there are only some blankets. In winter season it's quite cold. Heater was not enough to warm living room and bedroom.
There was problem with electricity twice during our stay. It's ok for low budget holidays.

The place itself is beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. However, the rooms could do with a bit of updating in terms of paint, mattresses and heating. We went in February and it was a bit cold their heating systems didn't work but provided little heaters which literally did nothing. I think this place has huge potential just needs a little TLC.

I booked for the 12th Feb to 16feb 2019, so disappointed with the 2 bed apartment vile and smelly, rusted heating system paint peeling shower curtain filtly, explained to reception, and not staying there, was giving keys to more apartments to look at, they Wernt any better looking, so I ended up haven to book another hotel for are stay which were absolutely beautiful for the same price

Det er et meget slidt hotel. Sengene var madrasser på Stenbæk og det var hårdt at ligge på. Gamle grimme lamper . En metalkasse med et stort hul hvor der stak en sparepærer ud. Træplader på begge sider af lamperne. Mangelfuld køkken og beskidte fliser. På badeværelset skulle gulvet tørres for hele tiden kom der vand fra utæt sanitet. Kun til 2 stjerner. Det er første og sidste gang vi har været der.

Perfectly peaceful in January, warm, calm and beautiful location. The apartment was cold in January in the morning but they have a heater. It wasn't old and dated, as usual anything not perfect is not five star but it wasn't in bad condition. The area was clean and tidy, staff very helpful and friendly. Outdoor pool very big but not heated. Overall the resort is very nice.

Det er slidt og gammel, rengøring er ikke eksisterende, og jeg kan virkelig ikke anbefale stedet. Vi afbrød vores ferie fordi vi ikke kunne holde det ud. Sengene var forfærdelige. Køleskab og komfur var rusten, køkkenlåger så nedslidte. Ingen sæbe på badeværelset, skimmelsvamp flere steder, regnede ind af døren og vinduer, kunne kigge ud mellem dørbrædder. Kunne ikke varme lejligheden op så vi frøs. Vil aldrig mere besøge dette sted.

Geweldige locatie. Wij hebben hier heerlijk genoten. Meteen nog een keer deze lokatie geboekt. We zijn hier vriendelijk te woord gestaan door een van de personeels leden. Ook voor informatie te verstrekken zijn ze hier prima voor in staat. Niks is ze te veel. Kortom een prima locatie voor een leuk tijd verdrijf.

Not as bad as most reviews make it seem. We were upgraded to a Villa due to booking issues on their end. Staff are generally friendly, however on of the bar staff at the pool is known to call the poilce if stags get too rowdy.

Stayed here 6th-13th October 2018 with my 2 brothers in laws, studio room each never again brother in law had his room robbed by what could only have been member of cleaning staff reported to management several times didn’t want to know as knew it was regular occurrence rooms dowdy bathroom filthy, stains round taps shower head didn’t work man came to look at it said get me new head never seen him again, no hot water last 2 days,towels never changed, bedding never changed, room never cleaned whole week we were there, offered drugs every time left hotel seemed to be the norm so warning you now avoid at all cost or regret it

We stayed in a 3 bed villa. The whole place is looking tired and in need of cleaning up, painting and modernising. The staff were as helpful as they could be and given we only used the villa for sleeping it was ok. It would have been more comfortable if it was more modern. My 10 year old son said, " the light doesnt even come on in the fridge!"
The pool is large but needs painting and a bit of tlc. Also could do with a few more sunbeds.

Alright for a stag/hen or a lads or lasses drinking holiday. Would not recommend for families or older couples.
The hotel makes you a pay €50 per person deposit on the room. The rooms themselves are utterly outdated and the whole complex very run down. Even if you put your complaints to reception they shrug there shoulders as they don't seem to care.
The villa I stayed in the front door would not open properly. The balcony door was that decrepit every time I opened it I thought it was going break. Plus it's only locked by a single flimsy bolt that wasn't screwed into the wood properly.
As for the balcony the table we had had chuncks missing out the corners and well if I could call it white. The balcony chairs were that work I thought they were going to snap.
I only seen a maid in our room once and that was on the afternoon we arrived. They came in and did nothing accept try to empty an empty bin. I had to take our rubbish out of the complex just to get rid of it. I understand they only change the beds once a week but to not even come in and make them or clean the room. Our footprints were on the floor from the first day.
If you are not to stable on you feet I would not recommend a villa. The stairway is narrow and slippy
I don't no how they can run this hotel in such a manner. I would not recommend for anyone

Väga hubane ja mõnus kööktuba, ruumi oli palju,suur rõdu. Vaade aknast aiale ja basseinile, paistis ka Atlandi ookean. Bassein oli suur ja sügav, saime vettehüppeid teha.
Reede ja laupäev oli lärmakad, rahvas pidutses kõikjal baarides, see ju loomulik.... rahvas puhkas ja lõõgastus.

Basic accommodation for an affordable price. Limited service availability. The floor was cleaned once in 7 days. Other services and appliances available as described. Spacious room, large and green pool area. Breakfast is not recommended, unless you like excessive amounts of bread, although fresh orange juice was nice.. I can't tell about any other meals hotel can offer, but the choice of outside eating places seems good enough. The beach is some 15 mins. away.

We booked a one bed villa, the stairs were almost vertical and narrow and very unsafe, downstairs light was hanging out of the ceiling, the constant music from the strip kept us awake till about 03.00. We got moved the next day to the apartment blocks, the room was OK but the beds needed replacing. The hallways stunk of stale cooking and the carpets in the entrance hall were threadbare. Again, the music started and went on till 3.00 am, you could clearly hear it even with all doors and windows shut and earplugs in. At 08.30, the music started again.
We cut our losses and booked an early flight home.
If this place was renovated and had some sound proofing it would be better. My advice is find somewhere else.

Mold in bathroom, walls stained and marked, no beds but mattress on concrete blocks and mattresses uncomfortable..maid service but bed linen wasn't changed once and towels were not changed, bathroom wasn't cleaned, they literally made the bed and put new loo roll in bathroom .
The block where our apartment was, smelt of urine in the foyer area and in the lift.. A 2 star resort but I'd say half a star at the very best.
Good location to access everything on the strip but that's the only good thing I can say about it.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. .

pésimo, hotel sucisimo, los colchones con los muelles fuera, hay seguridad para nada, otros huéspedes borrachos haciendo ruido llamas a seguridad y nada y al final terminas enfrentándote tu al borracho sin necesidad, porque pagas el hotel para lo que quieras, pero no para aguantar a ningún borracho que no te deja dormir.
Si pensáis en habitación doble, son dos colchones individuales cada uno es una pared sobre una estructura de cemento.
Se anuncia como hotel de tres estrellas, y LES FALTA MUCHO PARA SER TRES ESTRELLAS, un Motel/Pensión en España esta mucho mas limpio y mantenido que este hotel.

Wer den Trubel liebt und schnell in einer der Einkaufsgassen schwofen will, ist in dieser Anlage richtig. Sie liegt zentral und man erreicht in wenigen Minuten, Retaurants, Bars und Kitschläden.
Das Gelände am Haus ist schön groß und mit Pool. Die Zimmer sind ebenfalls geräumig. Schlicht und traditionell einfach eingerichtet.

Cons: After leaving your room locked cleaners let the self in and leave the room unlocked and don’t actually clean. The cleaning staff will clean out any money you leave in your room and arnt to shy bout where they look. Our room alone had €240 stolen on the day before checkout and hotel arnt interested at all when you complain

Only come here of you're a big fan of vomit, the smell of urine in the lift lobbies and stairs, swimming pools with a nice crust of cigarette ends surrounding it, gangs of drunk chavs yelling obscenely at each other and throwing their flip flops down the pool, 'beds' that are little more than lumpy springs with razor thin cheap pillows, cupboards that reek of damp and mould, aircon that doesn't work, warm fridges that stink, thievery and just general nastiness. Calling this a sewer of a 'resort' would be kind.

Local frequentado por ingleses jovens. O barulho é intenso impossibilitando ter uma noite de sono tranquila. Os apartamentos carecem de obras urgentes, pintura., substituição da cozinhas camas e mobiliário O espaço exterior sem manutenção, sem regras de utilização, parecendo um campo de férias de estudantes ingleses em civismo e totalmente enbriegados. O estúdio é mais que suficiente,a nível de aspecto já merecia umas reformas mas é espaçoso e tinha uma varanda espectacular.
A piscina é ótima e o resort é muito central perto da praia e ao lado da strip de albufeira,apesar de tudo esta bem isolado de som não se ouve a barulheira da rua dentro do quarto.

PESIMO las fotos estarian hechas cuando lo abrieron por que la estancia fue de pena , te venden la estancia con aire acondicionado y los tienen ANULADOS en todo el complejo , la nevera muy vieja la tapa del congelador que esta en el interior de la nevera reparada con una visagra de hierro que chorreaba oxido por el interior de la nevera , las puertas de la cocina descolgadas , la cocina (de cocinar electrica) no se veia a que fogon pertenecia la rueda que apenas se podia girar de lo vieja que era , el primer dia se estropeo la television ( muy vieja) y la repararon poniendo un palillo en el boton de encendido , el servicio de limpieza pesimo en 8 dias no pasaron ha limpiar el apartamento , no teniamos ni escoba , el servicio de limpieza pesimo, escaleras llenas de patas esparramadas durante 2 dias , carton de leche rebentado en el interior del ascensor varios dias sin limpiarlo , tambien anuncian " ideal para niños" y acogen ha una clase de gente que esta borracha todo el dia , en la zona de la piscina tirando vasos y botellas por el suelo y encima se lo permiten , no vuelvo aunque me regalen la estancia.

Estive alojado a última semana de agosto 2018 aqui no Villanova resort e não gostei nada do que encontrei pelas fotos e uma coisa é depois aqui e outra ...
Dizem que tínhamos limpeza todos os dias, coisa que nunca aconteceu..mudança de toalhas que é 3 em 3 dias e não aconteceu, no último dia de me ir embora tive que ir a recepção reclamar e ai deram me toalhas
Muito desagradável por não falar em ter baratas dentro do apart amento e tudo velho sem higiene

Went here over 20 yrs ago and would have given it 10 star's as family resort.
As a stag n hen place 5 star's.
Thats exactly what it is now.
The pool is littered. The villa we had was not as bad as some reviews. Run down place. We took two daughters and grandson o and the wife.
Enjoyed holiday but I would avoid this place as family resort.

Boas, numa estadia de 3 noites em Agosto 2018 fiquei bastante desiludido por vários factores, desde: várias lâmpadas da iluminação de casa sem funcionar e mesmo depois de estarem todas a funcionar não existia grande visibilidade, fogão elétrico com pratos de aquecimento elétrico dos quais só 2 funcionavam (complicado quando somos 5pessoas), uma das cadeiras da Cozinha quando me sentei quase que cai por estar com o assento partido, o sistema de Ar Condicionado só funcionava num dos quartos quando existiam 4 máquinas AC, a limpeza, sim a limpeza deixa muito a desejar visto por cima dos Guarda Fatos estarem desde latas, cigarros, massos cigarros apertados, carradas de pó enfim, o estado geral do apartamento embora que espaçoso mas MUITO mal cuidado, na zona envolvente da piscina, na relva bastantes copos plásticos garrafas e afins, deveria existir mais limpeza da parte da Empresa e mais asseio da parte dos utilizadores, na piscina de adultos existe uma zona de 2 alturas para saltos mas as pranchas não estavam lá, em volta da piscina existe uma caixa de água que serve para os utilizadores lavarem os pés quando vem da relva a mesma estava vazia fazendo com que alguns detritos da relva fossem sujar a piscina...
Digamos que deveria existir mais cuidado pois pagar temos sempre de pagar mas também gostamos de ser bem servidos.

Too loud, their notion of housekeeping means changing the bins alone. Sheets are changed every 7 days, towels are changed every 4 days. Ac is broken in the majority the rooms, according to the reception, you'll be given a fan at the front desk. Breakfast is served only after 9h30. In summary, only good for bachelor parties.

Do not leave anything valuable in your room, 2 of our group had money stolen, stupidly I didn't read the reviews before hand!
Be careful with room deposits, he'll ask for a cash payment for your deposit, then tell you he has refunded the cash deposit to the card you used for booking. Then he didn't bother!
The staff are zero help and, if anything, pretty rude!

We have stayed here from friday to Tuesday morning and haven't had clean towels or seen a cleaner near our room once. The room is in the apartments and is dated and clean but there is no air conditioning which makes it hard to get a good sleep.

A localização é a unica coisa positiva... os quartos são horríveis, muito antiquados... a piscina é razoável mas como é permitido levar bebidas para dentro de água... é normal ter que contornar latas ou copos lá dentro. Can feel.the springs on the matress which is on slabs... pool bar area is clean and good price on drinks (pints 2.30)... if ur going as a couple book a 1 bed apt the studios are seperate matresses that if u want to sleep together ur on the floor... no running water in rooms for 2 days.... with no compensation great location as its on the strip

La calificación es alta respecto a que hice un viaje con mis mejores amigos y el habermelo pasado tan bien ha podido influir.
El sitio, lo esperado, resort en la calle de la fiesta con buena piscina y con el equipamiento necesario para cocinar e higiene básica.
La parte mala? Cucarachas. Menos mal que somos jovenes curados de espanto, y hemos visto de todo en esta vida. Por todas partes, baños, cocina, armarios.
Acabamos tomándolo con filosofía e hicimos competición de ver quién mataba a más en toda la semana(entre todos, fácil, unas 20).
Los seguratas y las limpiadoras encantadores y serviciales, salvo uno de los de seguridad nocturna que campaba amenazante por el resort con ciertos niveles de cocaína en sangre y casi nos pega un día. No entiendo cómo pueden armar con un taser a ese elemento.
En fin, una aventura más para el recuerdo de unos jóvenes gallegos.

Well this is my second time staying at this resort and I always have a great time. I stayed in the vila and it was clean and had a lot off space. No noise from the strip just some noise from people coming home late but that to be expeted as its the party town. Pool was always cleaned every morning and the garden was well looked after. Was well worth the price. Some reviews are negative and put people off but I would say you need to stay here and judge it for your self. I will definitely come back here to stay .

I was, like most reviews, slightly worried about coming here. We stayed in the villa & it was clean, yes, a bit grubby, but absolutely fine. The pool was lovely & always kept clean. We didn't hear any noise from the strip, just young ones coming back late, but it was ok. Lots of food places, we are out every night for 6 nights to eat, not bad prices, good food, friendly staff. The wee train is €5 each for an all day ticket, old town is lovely & about half an hour away, beach is great too. So if you're thinking about coming here, come! Stay in the villa though.

Orrible!!!al margen de lo mal que estan cuidados los apartamentos que lo entendería por precio No tienen ningún matenimiento No se puede ir en familia en junio, julio y agosto un turismo de grupos de chavales o hombres o mujeres nunca mixto que van a desnudarse hasta lo que les aguante el cuerpo.
Desde primera hora estan bebiendo y por las noches en nuestro apartamento mis hijas yoravan aterrados movían muebles gritando como locos se peleaban por todas partes calle ,apartamento, balcón y escaleras
A todo esto llamé a recepción y me dieron que por eso tenía ese precio increíble ya no entre en debate porque botes baratos ai muchos en Portugal y nos supone mucho el gasto de desplazamiento ,comida y actividades alas que fuimos agotados es preferible poner un poco más de dinero e ir a otro por que este no se puede ir en familia no domiras ni una sola ni siquiera 1 hora orrible .En la piscina que (NO TIENE PASAMANOS que si tienes alguna dificultad de movilidad no podrías usarla)estan bebiendo y se adueñan de toda la piscina jugando con pelotas duras en el agua aún que allá más bañistas dándoles con la pelota sin que les importe nada y por último limpieza ninguna cuán vinieron a estirar las sábanas y el edredón rompieron un cenicero de cristal y estuve encontrando cristales los 5 días

This a rough and ready hotel. Stayed for stag do, and whilst our aircon worked (most didn't), our beds were mattresses on the floor. Twice when we cam eout of our 'block' there was dog poo on the steps. Good for stag and hen dos but its very poor quality accommodation. Decent shower though

Do not go here absolute nightmare if TripAdvisor could give minus stars I give it -5 they seem to target gangs off football hooligans stag parties hen parties jumping into the pool naked peeing all over the place bottles of beer left all around the pool side Plus bottle caps no regard for children in the children's pool they just sat there drinking From 7 in the morning until they are comatose. 2/3 ambulances call nightly to bring the drunks to hospital and security guard on duty watching all this happened then he pics on one single girl going in to her apartment with no wrist tag and says you can't stay here because you have no tag this girl was my daughter with me my wife and two other children now he let in a complete stranger with no tag on in a few days earlier Who preceded two jump into the pool in his underwear and pestered everyone looking cigarettes they let him stay at the poolside until 3:30 before putting him out so what's the idea. What a petty as the villas are ok but I warn you don't expose your children to this

Aliás, em 2020 e em pleno Algarve ainda alugarem quartos sem WiFi é mesmo coisa de meados do século passado.
Cheguei há 15 minutos e já me arrependi da minha escolha diversas vezes.

It’s what it is. We have stayed in a small villa that picks up the free WiFi from the pool bar for the last three years in February. Lovely sunny patio area cleaners every other day sheets weekly. For £500 for the month what else can we say good value for what you pay . Privately renting you have to do your own cleaning and bedding washing and pay bills

Twee sterren is niet veel, maar zegt niet dat een park niet leuk zou zijn. Het is zelfs heel fijn maar gedateerd. Na meer dan 40 jaar zou de boel onderhand gerenoveerd moeten worden. We hadden een kleine villa maar het ontbreekt aan van alles. Niet erg als je 8 dagen gaat maar wel lastig als je 4 weken blijft. Na een heel lawaaivol oud en nieuw ( jonge mensen met eigen muziek) is de rust weer terug. De omgeving biedt voldoende ontspanning voor jong en oud. Het is even zoeken naar een echt Portugees eethuis maar ze bestaan wel. Hebben 3 weken een auto gehuurd bij Visacar. Naast Pince Doce. Prima ervaring. Ondanks de 2 sterren hoop ik volgend jaar weer naar Vilanova Te gaan.

Needs a major refurbishment. Place is a dump, been rundown for so long. The room smells. A mattress on a concrete block. Dont get the breakfast option, a croissant, roll and tea or coffee. Be prepared to be disappointed. Suppose you pay for what you get. The bathroom is so bad , you really dont want use it.

It's quaint and could do with an update, but it's clean, affordable and does the job. The rooms are quite dark and get very chilly in the winter, so we asked for extra heaters and blankets. Most of the staff are lovely, Madga in particular!!! She is definitely the MVP!

Despite all the negative comments I have seen, i totally loved the place. Vilanova is more than quality for money as for most of the time when i checked it is the cheapest hotel in the whole EUROPE. The qauality you get for the CHEAPEST is outstanding. The ladies do everything they can can to make your stay clean including room service, change towels every 3 days. Even my small apartment had a balcony which i loved for everyday breakfast with the view on the pool. All i could wish for. The pool is very big and also clean. Also if you ask in reception they will help you entertain you for whole stay. They will make phone calls to arrange all the activities so you don't have to struggle in Portuguese ;) i will defo come back.

Great wee place just a 10 minute slow walk from the main strip off Albufeira.
Staff are great the pool is spotless.
It's a bit dated but if your like us and all only looking somewhere to put your head down it's great.
There is a wee supermarket just outside the door and a free shuttle bus takes you to the old town of Albufeira 3 times a day 12pm-2pm and 5pm a taxi home will cost €7 home or a slow 20 minute walk.
There is hundreds off bars and places to eat so you will never be stuck there is something for everyone even KFC and Macdonalds .

The room is not the best i knpw you have what you pay for bit i didnt pay for dirty walls and kitchen area.there was no outlook at all.the lifts where stinking the walls in the hall ways where all marked and even flem spat on them.
On arrival lady wasnt very helpful she told us where to go to our roombut there was no signs and you need to get lift but theres no sign to say what floor we were on.and we was on top of a club...music didnt stop until gone 3 am.i would not recommend this hptel or this part of Portugal.its more for hens,stags and party people.very disappointed

The hotel is "tired". We stayed in block 4. Rooms are big. Well equipped kitchen. Kettle, toaster microwave. Fair size balcony. No hairdryer.concrete bed base not really an issue but the mattresses were very cheap and uncomfortable. Bedding wasnt changed in the week but clean towels twice. Lift broke but fixed quickly. Pool large and clean. But not nearly enough sunbeds .we were not disturbed by any noise. Great location and value. If you want 5 stars pay 5 star prices .

You get what you pay for!
It was cheap when I booked it, I thought I was getting a fairly good deal, but on arrival I realised why.
They beds where dirty, blankets had burn holes and stains. As did all the towels. The room was infested with ants. tried to move rooms but was told I wouldn't be able to.
The pool was probably the best part of the hotel.

La limpieza es mínima, a pesar de que pone por escrito en los apartamentos que se limpia todos los dìas excepto viernes y lunes, es mentira. Nosotros estivimos 5 dìas y 6 noches y solo limpiaron uno y mal. El baño apesta y si abres el grifo del lavamanos o de la cocina se llena la bañera de agua y de porquerìa. El cesped alrededor de la piscina està lleno de colillas y de papeles.

Por motivos óbvios não havia limpeza,era tudo muito sujo,quando lá chegamos tomamos um susto com o apartamento que no deram ,cheirava mal e estava todo sujo.Fora que nem devia ser alugado para os portugueses. Os ingleses tomam conta de rudo,são porcos bêbados e vomitam em todo o lado fora o lixo que fica na beira da piscina. Fiquei triste pela estadia tbm éfoi a primeira vez e última. Não aconselho a ninguém.

Only 3 stars, because it can get very noisy between 10pm and 7am due to location. And a lot of drinks flowing,
Rooms are clean and spacious.
A lot of all male / female groups, who want to enjoy themselves, so it's no problem.
If you want a quite time, probably not for you, but is a nice place.

Worst experience ever, worst place ever, worst service ever, unprofessional staff. Check in 6:30 instead of 4, very old dirty villa with insects and dirty beds floor fridge bathroom everything. No AC and temperature was like 35degrees Celsius, they gave us a fan after asking alot for it but its not working as well so we melted for 3 nights, guests are not allowed to visit it you not even for 5 minutes and even if u ask for permission, more and more and more I highly advice not to even think about it expensive with all these negative comments.

Janelas sem estores ou portadas, sofás em cimento (o que impossibilita a sua deslocação) por baixo da televisão, colchão que encosta ao cimento, fogão com apenas um bico a funcionar, rebouco das paredes a cair, inexistência de limpeza nas áreas comuns do prédio e no apartamento e só quando solicitado.

Hace dos días que estoy en este lugar, y la verdad arrepentido totalmente de haberlo elegido, es frecuentado por ingleses alemanes los cuales campan a sus anchas, ensucian las zonas comunes con botellas de cerveza cristal incluida la piscina, gritan se emborrachan durante el día y la noche etc etc etc, el apartamento tiene muebles de aproximadamente de hace 30 o 40 años, en mal estado, cucarachas en el baño, se rompió una tubería del WC Y nadie viene a repararla, no hay socorrista ni nadie que controle la zona de piscina, por la noche cuando vuelven los "clientes" empieza la fiesta y se acaba el sueño de los demás,otra cosa realmente decepcionante es la falta de limpieza del apartamento. Vamos un desastre que daña gravemente la imagen tanto de portugal como de la albufeira,, muy mala experiencia.puboico alguna foto de la zona de la terraza, así lleva 2 días.

Threatened by the receptionist and he was so rude. Will never come back to this resort again. When we arrived we found bugs in the bed and all over the floor, it was rotten. Then they give us another room and there was food everywhere and bed was rotten. I am disgusted I will never return. Also he called me numerous names and I have video evidence. I am upset.

Depois de todas as críticas negativas que vi na internet, vinha com muito receio do que podia encontrar. Efectivamente estamos a falar de um resort com alguma idade, notando-se nos apartamentos o passar dois anos. Em relação ao barulho pode existir mais algum noutros blocos.

While staying at VilllaNova with 4 of my friends I woke up one night to find a man crawling on the floor I immediately started screaming for him to get out, my friend woke up but by the time we noticed he was gone and so was my phone and all our purses! The resort was so unhelpful and didn’t even care we were robbed 100% an inside job ! Please don’t stay here holiday from hell !

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! me and my 4 other friends came here and we got broken into by a black man at 4am while the 5 of us were sleeping!!! He took our handbags and 1 phone and had the room key which was in my bag that he stole !!! 138 is the room number because I am 100% sure that will will not change the locks ! We were all sleeping when me and my friend were on the ground floor asleep and she woke me up screaming this man was on the floor crawling through our apartment and ran out the door !!! Went to reception and the man at reception said and I quote “ oh we no who he is I have caught him before “ 100% an inside job they watch groups of girls !! Read on TripAdvisor a day after it happened it happened to a group of 6 girls and they thought the same that it’s an inside job !!! No security only one man which was being so creepy to me asking me why I wouldn’t give me his number that he would have came on his day off If we rang him on that night ! He also laughed in our faces when we told him what happened .. would not recommend so unsafe!!! And the staff are so unhelpful !!!!

Me and my friends stayed here for a week in room 138 in a house which was very hidden in a corner surrounded by trees and bushes. A man came into our house while we were all asleep and robbed all of our handbags. One of the girls woke up while he was in the room and started screaming so loud we all woke up. After this happened I went to reception to see what they could do and all they did was ring the police who were absolutely useless and they just said this happens and they have an idea who it is but cannot catch him. If this place had any type of security they would have someone at the main entrance and other security walking around the resort. I only saw a security man once on my first time and he didn’t even do his job properly by checking our wrist bands. This place is an albsolute dive and I would recommend to everyone stay somewhere else this place is not safe at all!!! If I could give no stars I would.

Mai più! La struttura avrebbe molte potenzialità ma è senza o scarsa manutenzione. Ho alloggiato al blocco quattro dove, all'entrata, c'è la moquette logora e maleodorante. L'alloggio e ampio ma poco curato, la pulizia non è granché e l'aria condizionata NON funziona. Gli asciugamani logori e rammendati. La clientela è prevalentemente giovanile del Nord Europa, dediti a bevute e schiamazzi notturni. Di positivo soltanto il parcheggio all'interno della struttura ed il bidet nel bagno.

Basic but clean enough, self catering at its cheapest. Super close to the strip for the youngsters to stagger home lol. Restaurants aplenty surrounding it so eats and drinks is easy. Not really for families but perfect for non fussy couples and gangs of mates.

Hotel cheap and cheerful, room clean but knocked about a bit. Mattress as thick as a tab paper. Mon to thurs it is quite an easy going place but come thurs when the stag and hens arrive things change. It's quite entertaining during the day watching the antics of the young drunken idiots jumping of the diving board on inflatable unicorns but come the witching hour or should I say 3am to 4.30am. This is when the noise starts and the young drunken idiots can't remember which floor level their room is on never mind the room number. 2 nights in a row had someone banging on door to get in. A bit frightening for some and I lost alot of sleep. All told you get what you pay for. Have to say staff were always very pleasant and helpful.

Me and my sister stayed here for a few days June 2019, and after reading reviews I was a bit nervous as I was taking here for her 60th birthday but for the price we couldn’t of asked for anything better the studio was spacious and clean and although you are right in the middle of everything the studios are set back, the pool is huge and spotless, I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend it for all ages although me and my sister still think we are 18
But I wouldn’t stay on the ground floor as you would get people walking past all night trying to find there apartments xx

Quartos demasiadamente antigos. As camas, os colchões, travesseiro, as cortinas das janelas, ar condicionado tudo muito velho. A casa de banho dá nojo por ser demasiado velho, muita sujeira nos detalhes, a banheira entupida, enfim, as fotos são meramente ilustrativas.
A piscina e as áreas verdes são boas, porém os hóspedes a maioria estrangeiros muito mal educados, cigarro espalhados ao chão por todo lado, sem contar que a piscina é exatamente o lugar em que todos fazem muito xixi.... Pois o bar é a beira da piscina, e pude observar muito bem o comportamento das pessoas, bebem demasiado e frequentemente pulam na piscina e quase nunca se dirigia a casa de banho.
Outro detalhe é o barulho infernal!

Not the fault of the staff, who were really friendly, but this hotel is a magnet for idiots who don't know how to use doors. The amount of door slamming and shouting is the worst I've ever known it. On top of that some disgusting people were throwing their waste food and used cigarettes down from their room and onto my balcony (along with used/worn clothing). I was young once but never acted like this.

Had a great time. Resort is right on the main strip. Lots of entertainment and places to eat. The staff were lovely and very friendly. Rooms were clean. Accomodation very authentic and quaint. 10 minutes walk from the sea. Plenty transport around. Supermarket 5 minutes walk from resort.

We stayed here for a week starting 19th August 2017. 2 adults 2 kids age 7 and 3. First thing to clear up the room was dated but it had a fridge freezer, cooker with oven, kettle, toaster, microwave, pots pans cups plates cutlery everything and it's own water heater and there was a working fan aswel also had a TV.. We stayed in block 3 which seemed to be more towards middle aged couples so we had a quiet week, some rooms seemed a bit lively in block 1 but nothing mad. The staff where helpful and really friendly. The location is on the strip with a 10 minute walk to beach there is a steep hill going down onto beach. I would come back here in a heartbeat but at least 10 days to 2 weeks

Absolutely perfect if you're on a stag or hen party. 2 minutes walk from the strip, 5 min taxi ride from the Old Town. Its very basic, there's beds, the toilet flushed and the shower worked. Everything you need when you're on the lash.

2 bed villa garden pool view. Enough room for 6 people to fit comfortable. close to everything. And far enough to get away from the night life. Town shops/ bars right on the door.
Music can be heard until about 1am and quite a lively night life. So if that is not ur thing not going 2 b good.
House was clean. Basic but perfect for a break away. All appliances u need. Cooker/ microwave/ kettle/ toaster.........
Bed r again basic. Enjoy the stay here.

This is not a family resort! The rooms are very basic but clean. Very basic essentials in your rooms and very few of them. The beds are slabs of concrete with a mattress on top. The maids do a very bare minimum to clean etc. Apart from the pool and the beach there is very little else for the kids. Also offered drugs 6 times in two weeks from cocaine to hashish! Bars pester you to come in and 8 tourist shops! Cheap to eat but all bars offer the same food so gets boring very quickly.

Frechheit!!
das Hotel ist eine so große Frechheit, wer hier denkt einen schönen Urlaub machen zu können, der ist hier falsch. Zimmer sind zwar ok, aber das war auch das einzigste was noch in Ordnung war.
Es fängt an das man eine Caution zahlen muss von insgesamt 150€ das ist schonmal sehr ungewöhnlich.
Dann das Frühstück das ist kein Frühstuck, man bekommt nichtmal ein Buffet, nur 2 Brötchen, 2 scheiben Schinken und 2 scheiben Käse, das wars. Dazu das Personal teilweise unfreundlich.
Das größte Problem sind die Engländer, man muss echt angst haben vor denen, die randalieren nur rum, man kann nicht in ruhe schlafen. Hier ist jeden Abend die Polizei, für Kinder absolut ungeeignet.
Der Ort Albufeira ist ein sehr schöner, nur das Hotel kann ich nur dringenst von abraten. Da man am Ende des Urlaubs nichtmal seine Vorher gezahlte Caution wiederbekommt, obwohl alles inordnung war
Alles in allem kann ich diesem Hotel nur einen Stern geben da das gesamte Hotel eine Frechheit war, ich werde niewieder in dieses Hotel gehen

Waren vor 2 Wochen dort. Das erste zimmer war potten dreckig und das türschloss war kaputt..haben dann eine sog.villa bekommen.
Leider war es hier nicht viel sauberer..die küchenzeile war wirklich total verdreckt und ekelig.
Es roch sehr muffig...so nach nassem hund. Haben den Teppich raus gebracht weil dieser total verdreckt war.
Unsere Kleidung konnten wir nicht in den Kleiderschrank hängen weil auch hier ein muff raus kam.
Es war zudem sehr kalt und wir mussten nach einer Heizung fragen...haben dann so eine kleine elektrische Heizung bekommen..wenigstens etwas...
Die wolldecken mit denen wir uns zudecken mussten haben gestunken und hatten flecken..
Die zimmer wurden nicht regelmäßig gereinigt..mussten den müll vor die Tür stellen damit er entsorgt wurde...
Das Frühstück gab es erst ab 9.30 uhr..wenn man also touren gebucht hat fiel es flach..allerdings konnte man ab und zu (kam drauf an wer an der Rezeption saß) ein abend vorher das Frühstück für den nächsten tag holen...hat leider ganze 3 von 5 mal nicht funktioniert... es gab jeden morgen das gleiche Frühstück..1 Brötchen und 1 croissaint ..2 Scheiben schinken und käse . 1kleines paket margerine und kleines glas erdbeermarmelade...
Die Menschen an der Rezeption waren teilweise sehr unfreundlich..
Also absolut NICHT weiter zu empfehlen!!

Great for the price. Customer service was decent, all polite and helpful. All the rooms are about 100m at most some being about 10m from the strip so its perfect for going out. They give you towels whenever you need more at reception and are only closed from about 3am - 6am. There is wifi at reception and by the pool which are free of use. The villas are the best bet and aren't much more costly. 2 times I have been and will probably return! And they still have my nike bag, wallet + my ID as I left in my room which they have agreed to post to me, very helpful. Only reason I would not give 5 is because it does need a bit of paint here and there.

Brilliant bar and great sun trap to sit in with a cold pint watching the world go by.We went every day of our week's holiday.All the food and drinks are very reasonable priced and of excellent quality.Two of our favorites was the mega breakfast at only 6 Euros,and served with chips!,we definitely recommend the chicken and pork wraps be hungry though...they are huge!.All the staff are welcoming and go out their way to chat to you.The lady that was the chef was particularly friendly and not only did she make us welcome but our 2 dogs too,always had a piece of ham for them lol.
This is very definitely a bar you should visit but don't leave it till your last day,looking forward already to going back next year.

Ok so my stay and visit to Villanova Resort was to be a'pick me up' of sorts organised as a surprise from my husband as I had had a couple of months sickness and he and my son felt it would be just the medicine needed for my recouperation!
Well I wish I could say it was.. but it was anything but a tonic.. it was dreadful! Cold, dirty, smelly and in dire need of a facelift. We booked for four days but omg it was Waaaay too long, we just could not wait to get in a taxi and not look back.
I couldnt start to say which was the worst part but from the unbelievably dreadful beds to the lumpy pillows, to the unreal coldness of the apartment, no clean towels until we went to reception for them, no kettle, no toaster no housekeeping.. and then asked to stay away on the day we were to leave anyway for fumigation... I mean letting apartments before these jobs are done.. I know it's out of season time but we were told we had been upgraded on our arrival and no one else really staying there!!! Well if this was their idea of an up grade.. goodnight!!
The whole time spent there was going to reception looking for what was advertised as being in the apartment and it was miserable and a waste of money.
The weather is out of anyone's control but it didn't help either by the way...
Lesson learned... further travel is required in January if its heat or sunshine you're looking for but a word of advise to the Vilavova Resort Authorities... Clean Up your Accomodation and Give your customer what it is you advertise, invest in some beds, pillows and some goodwill.

Situado no centro das atenções com acesso pela Rua Da Oura - Albufeira. Instalações a acusar os anos de uso, mas ainda muito boas. Boa piscina. Bem localizado.

we were in one of the apartments. We want to thank all the staff, spacially the housekeeping. Villa Nova is closer to all amenities. One thing we didn't enjoy was the out dated apartment, it's really OLD but clean.otherthan that it's nice, relaxing and peaceful.

Great place to stay. Beds could be a bit softer! Cleaner came every day,, staff very friendly and very spacious! Only problem was door to patio had a very low lock. Kids would be able to escape very easily if woke up before us!

Bien situé à proximité de la mer ... Très grande piscine ... complexe important ....à 10 minutes du centre ville. ..à proximité d'une voie qui vous emmène vers faro ou de l'autre côté vers sagres et au nord vers Lisbonne

Was pleasantly surprised. We had a great experience from start to finish. Beds were a bit uncomfortable but that would be the only complaint. Very good value for money

We are on our last night of a weeks stay. When we arrived after booking a studio apartment, we were up graded to a 1 bed room apartment because 2 of the people with us were older and the lovely man at reception thought it would not be suitable for them. The apartment was spotlessly clean and cleanec every day. Fresh towels were provided daily and bed linen was changed mid week. We were very aprehensive about staying here after reading the reviews but would have no hesitation in coming back again.

Stayed there for one week. Not a bad hotel for the price for it location. The reception and apartment I stay in are not in the same build and any one could walk in say that I had very little trouble some banging door at night. Would stsy again for the same price.

Studio is dated but very comfortable. Maids keep everything clean and tidy. Well equipped with full cooker, microwave, kettle and toaster. TV with BBC 1 and ITV. It is November so it is much quieter. I would come back definitely this time of year.
