Stayed for a week. We were there with a group of special needs kids, they had to cater for a huge host of different needs. Everything went perfect. Manuel and his wife were perfect hosts and there is nothing I can say it was not absolutely brilliant. The food and the entertainment were top class and I would recommend anybody with a family or kids with special needs come here 100%.

We love this place! Our third stay here. For us the location is perfect, but we love walking. It's about 20 minutes walk from the strip. So it's in a nice quiet neighborhood, it feels safe. The lady on reception (who never seems to go home!) is lovely and makes us feel welcome every time. I hope we will be back again some day soon. Thanks!

Lovely large apartments, clean &quietly situated only a short bus trip to the "strip" or a 15 min walk. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent place to stay & explore the area

Big apartment, reception 24 hrs . Got here at 1am and someone was there to give us keys. Apartment got shower and kitchen but few utensils. I ll stay here again.very very neat . Apartment provides buses to town.

We're on our last day, having just had a lovely breakfast & we must say, we're both really sad to be leaving. On our arrival, we couldn't believe the size & the cleanliness of the apartment. Everything is built for comfort here, & the design is lovely. The staff are all very friendly, & they were more than happy to put the darts & the football on for us. The only minor bugbear was the guy next door who was clearly hard of hearing when watching the tv late at night, despite the owner's polite notices to keep the noise down after 11pm, & the barking of dogs until quite late on. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the town & the beach, so if you don't like walking so much, it may be wiser to get something closer to the centre, but if you're not so bothered, this is a great choice. We have been very impressed. Good value, great space & lovely staff, we'd like to see what it's like in the high season

I will start with the pros: The staff were nice to me when i checked in. The karaoke performer on Friday was so much fun (the main reason for 1star) His name was Pedro. I actually dislike karaoke so I was avoiding him like the plague at first but by the end of the night I was up singing. Great night. The apartment was very clean as was the hotel/apartment. The food was okay and reasonably priced. The cons: I really dislike the fact there was so many hidden charges not mentioned when i booked the room. I have added a picture to show these prices. I feel if there is a gym/steam room/sauna etc this should be included in the price. So many separate deposits needed for different things like the hair dryer, tv remote, safe, air con etc and you must pay a daily rate on top of the deposit to use the hair dryer! Deposits could easily amount to a high price. Extra costs are my main reason for 1 star. The noise from other rooms was awful as you can hear everything through the floor and walls. The staff did try to help at first but the second time I phoned reception to complain the woman had no interest in what I had to say and I felt she was quiet rude. I don't remember the hotel mentioning loud parties were allowed in bedrooms! I stayed here in October and it was pretty cold. The rooms themselves are not made for keeping the cold out. There was cold wind blowing through the windows and doors. Best not to stay here during the colder months. In my opinion, unless you are coming here to get trashed and party during the summer them don't come here! I left before my last night and booked in at the 3k hotel at the airport. So quiet and staff friendly.

Currently staying here and I have to say I'm impressed, particularly as it was such a good price for half term week. Here with my partner in a one bed apartment with its own little pool for use by our small block only. The apartment is modern and spotless, the facilities are great with a bar and restaurant with entertainment and reasonably priced food. It's about a 15 minute stroll to the main strip and about a further 10 minutes to the beach. The complex also offers a shuttle bus service to the beach and the old town which we shall be using. Staff are helpful and friendly I would definitely recommend. The only downside is the heated pool that was advertised at the time of booking doesnt feel heated otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Saio naao posso deixar ar condicionado ligado??? Pergunto se o que paguei foi só para dormir??? Mexem os ombros ☹

Spacious Apartment's for families. The only good think I can say about this place. No supervision in the pool. Overcrowded pool area. Nothing much to do for young children . A lot of walking to get to new and old town. A lot of staff unfriendly. Won't be returning. .

My family and I have just returned from what has to be the most disappointing holiday I have ever been on!! This was solely down to the horrendous staff , condition and location of choromar apartments. The staff in the hotel/apartments would definitely benefit from attending some training courses on hospitality! Although when you witness the owner of the hotel screaming and shouting in guests faces (myself included) on 3 separate occasions and his solution to their problems is tell them to get out of hotel and to shut up as you are a tourist in his country you begin to understand where their bad attitudes come from! Rafael in particular should be mentioned for his total lack of customer service skills , his threatening behaviour and Even offering a guest outside for a fight when his shift finished, He wrongfully accused them of bringing their own drinks to the pool, these drinks had infact been served by him 5-10 mins previously!! The apartments weren’t cleaned once in the 2 weeks we were there aside from bin being emptied twice, towels changed twice a week and bed sheets changed once. The drains in the apartment spewed up the most foul smelling water over the floor in the kitchen everytime the sink in the kitchen or showers where used. Lifts were broken multiple times during our stay , locks on balcony doors where broken , tiles on the floor where cracked with sharp edges exposed. The pool and bar area is littered with broken sunbeds and tables that are unstable and rocky. Directly outside choromar apartments is a lot of waste ground with stray dogs that constantly howl and bark through the night! There is also what appears to be a shanty town full of immigrants and squatters, when we mentioned to someone in a restaurant where we where staying they warned us not to walk in the area at night as its not safe, just what you want to hear about your hotel. You need to get a taxi to travel anywhere as there is no other bars, restaurants or entertainment near choromar. The Hotel book these for you on their machine at reception, Be prepared for a long wait on your taxis as well, anything upto an hour or more, when I mentioned to taxi driver how they must be very busy as we had waited over an hour he said not really and showed me on his screen that the taxi had only been booked 5 minutes before he showed up by hotel. He said ‘oh the hotel do this all the time to get you to spend money at the bar while waiting on taxis’ I had asked the girl on reception 3 times over the previous hour was there a taxi coming. All in all the only good thing about choromar apartments was the taxi that picked us up to return to the airport on our way home!!!

Não posso opinar em relação a todos os apartamentos mas em relação ao nosso parece ter sido remodelado à pouco tempo (com gosto). Tem muito boas condições e é acolhedor.

Plusem jest duży Apartament, dobrze wyposażona kuchnia, miła obsługa ładne otoczenie. Plaża oddalona około 8 minut samochodem albo około 25 na piechotę. Dużo restauracji, blisko sklep Intermarche oraz mały sklepik w podziemiach hotelu. Łatwe do znalezienia miejsce do zaparkowania samochodu przy hotelu.Nistety hotel nie nadaje się dla rodzin z dziećmi, ponieważ bardzo głośne wieczorki karaoke oraz zachowanie turystów, którzy nie zwracają uwagi na rodziny z dziećmi, hałasują nawet do drugiej, trzeciej w nocy, pozostawia wiele do życzenia. Mimo obowiązującego regulaminu hotelu, który mówi o zachowaniu ciszy nocnej po godzinie 23.00, nikt się do niego nie stosuje, a personel hotelu nie reaguje. Do tego dochodzi bardzo akustyczna podłoga, która potęguje hałas jaki jest wytwarzany przez przesuwanie krzeseł lub stolika u mieszkających powyżej. Jednak jeśli ktoś nie ma małych dzieci i ma naturę imprezowicza, ten hotel będzie idealny. Natomiast odradzam pobyt dla rodzin z małymi dziećmi. Większość gości hotelowych to Anglicy (90%,,), trochę Portugalczyków.

Muito Barulhento. Turistas não tem respeito pelos proprietários dos apartamentos. Entram e só se houve eles a partirem artigos do interior dos apartamentos. Contudo! Quem procura um pouco de descanso e aproveitar para relaxar. Neste local é complicado.

Fin lille hotel til rimelige priser. Boede på satellit hotel nærmere Albufeira by, men altid hjælp at hente på Choro Mar, hvis jeg havde spørgsmål.

Great place would go back if we can, boys loved the swimming every day, great weather to go with so was fun food was cheap also, only taxi fare high, anything else ok.

I personally probably would give this a 2/5 star rating. Cleanliness is rather good inside the reception/bar and rooms are maintained to a good standard. A cleaner comes round every 2 days to change the bins/towels etc. The bar serves freezer food however drinks are reasonably priced. The hotel does put on entertainment every night however it is karaoke everynight sometimes along with shows such as reptiles and Elvis. Mini market isn't great. Not a lot of choice and it looks a bit dim and dulgy inside. Only 1 pool (main reception) is heated and all others are very cold so as you can imagine the main pool gets very busy and rather loud. As for the room itself we were sold an apartment with cooking facilities, freezers and a double bed. In fact what we got was an oven that does not work, a single fridge that can get very cold but not to keep frozen food and 2 single beds. When we told the reception about the oven they told us that all od the ovens were not working as they were having work done to the kitchen. The lifts are very small also. It says they allow 4 people to occupy the lift but you could end up playing tetris with each other to get 4 into the lift with any bags/backpacks that you bring. The walls in the hotel are very thin and you can hear everything going on inside other people's rooms upstairs, downstairs and to the side of you so be aware everyone can hear what you are saying and erm... doing. Outside of the hotel itself there were bin men and street cleaners that came between 1am-4.30am 3-4 nights during the duration of our weeks holiday. The streets and pathways around the complex are littered in dog/cat poo and right next to the hotel entrance looks like you have stepped into the apocalypse. There is also some building work going on nearby and it can get very loud which does spoil whatever relaxing silence you can find. There are lots of extra charges for things in which higher star places in my experience would normally include as standard; some of these being a remote control for both the TV (which has about 6 english channels, 2 in which are sky news and 2 are pick and pick+1) and the air conditioning remote. The gym and spa facilities (if you can call them that) are also extra charged and they are both nothing to write home about. In case you stay and there is rain one of the days, there is not much to do in and around the apartment so you would still need to go to either the strip or the old town for entertainment. Overall, not a great experience but not an appallingly bad one either.

Choro Mar apartments are really nice and clean. The bed was laid like a hotel standard. The appartment I occupied had a very nice bathroom..only shower. It had a kitchen with almost everything however it didn't have a washing machine or dish washer. Also, I couldn't access the WiFi from the room unless I went to the bar. However, It has one of the best pools in it's area. It has very good food quite affordable. I enjoyed my stay.

All ways get a nice room there's six or seven pools so some times get one to yourself lots of entertainment of an evening

Thieves stole from my room, be careful! My friend & I currently on holiday at this property, 4 days in... having a brilliant trip. The apartment & complex is lovely, really nice, love the room, the view & we were really happy with everything so far. However today was an absolute disappointment, we had a great time at the pool BUT then when we came back we discovered multiple pieces of Jewlery & a purse was stolen from our room. The room was locked, no windows open, above ground level, so clearly someone with a key entered the room? Who else could get into the room? Reported it to front desk, they didn't seem surprised at all & weren't very helpful. Very unhappy with this, report to police. Absolutely disgusted to think someone went into our room an stole our things. Really putting a dampener in the trip. Before you book or stay here think twice. Not safe.

Very lovely 4 nights stay. Big apartment , modern with a balcony and a pool . Quiet area and the hotel has its own restaurant and bar , live shows and music. The thing to take into consideration- no hairdryer, iron - everything needs to be taken from reception ( if available ) 10 euro deposit plus 1 euro fee / day Same for A/C or TV I would visit it again without doubt - overall good quality for a good price.

Non molto pulito, le camere sono molto diverse tra di loro (non tutte sono come mostrate sul sito web); inoltre il wifi è accessibile solo nella reception e non nel resto degli appartamenti. Le piscine, sebbene scollegate tra di loro, sono molto buone.

Estadia de 4 noites, só mesmo para dormir e tomar banho. Roupa de cama muito gasta e sem cheiro a lavado, o mesmo se aplica à roupa de wc. Chuveiro péssimo, sem pressão praticamente impossível lavar cabelo. Muito barulhento.

Exceção feita ao motorista, super simpático e atencioso. Não existe, conforme indicado no site, qualquer tipo de piscina aquecida... Só se for aquecida pelo sol ... Longe do centro... Longe da praia... Coloquem funcionários simpáticos please!!!

After reading reviews we were a bit apprehensive about our stay, but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived! The hotel was lovely, It was clean and very pretty! Towels were changed regularly. Lady on reception was very welcoming and helpful when we enquired about anything. Only thing I would say is that it's a bit far out from the main town/strip but taxis are quick to arrive and don't cost much. Every taxi driver was friendly and helpful also! We would definitely return when going back to Portugal, we had a Brilliant stay!

Absolutely love this place. Ive been coming here for the last 6 years. The Staff are lovely especially Grace, Manel and Pedro. Could not fault it. Only negative point is that I have to go home :-(

the rooms are amazing and comfortable but i feel internet should be available across the hotel and not just in the reception and bar. i also think a spare key would be handy because my dad took the key now i have to pee in the dark. otherwise, rooms are lovely and I'm enjoying the stay. pool is amazing with lights at night and not too cold!!!!

Beautiful apartments clean spacious. We stayed in building next to the reception great pool staff were so lovely cleaners came in every two days. Down side only one pub/restaurant in entire complex good 20 minute walk into town. But would highly recommend these apartments

No esta mal, el lugar es tranquilo y apartado del trafico. Pero los colchones son mejorables, las limpiadoras cuando limpian la habitacion contigua hacen muchisimo ruido, ademas los mandos de la tele y el aire acondicionado no están en la habitación, hay que pedirlos en recepción bajo una fianza de 10 € cada uno, y aunque la cocina trae un horno está en todas las habitaciones por seguridad fuera de servicio. Hay parking publico y gratuito alrededor del complejo.

Apartamentos amplios y bien mantenidos. Trato familiar. Entretenimiento en la cafetería por las noches. Queda un poco alejado de la playa pero a cambio hay transporte hasta la playa durante seis días a la semana. La piscina exterior está climatizada y tiene yacuzzi, sauna y gimnasio.

En este hotel no hay nada q merezca la pena,desde el trato hasta la falta de limpieza y sin hablar de la dejadez de los apartamentos y las piscinas y si te quejas te dicen q no entiende tu idioma....de risorio. No lo recomiendo a nadie

We arrived at 1am and were given vague directions on how to get to our appartment. It had its own pool (block 27) but we used the pool at the bar as it was cleaner. (Cigarette butts in our own). Appartment was large and clean and has everything you will need for your stay but being on the 2nd floor with a partner with a bad ankle injury, we asked to get it changed but to no avail. (Hence only 3 stars) Lots of cats around the area...so if you are not a cat lover - not the place for you. Throughout the 1st three days was very noisy at pool / bar area with stag partys arriving and going. Although to be fair - there was little or no noise after 11pm. (The law in portugal) Taxis are quick arriving to the choramar appts. Prices are reasonable and portions are big.

Lovely apartments. Very spacious in the superior room, and a lovely view of the pools. Staff are very friendly. Plenty of sunbeds and places around the pool. Prices are reasonable and the food is of very good quality.

Nos tocó un piso en la 3ª planta en el edificio principal. Un gran piso recién reformado con camas para 8, apretándose quizás más sin incomodarse demasiado. Cómodo, limpio (hasta el horno y los filtros de la campaña me sorprendieron, todo impecable) y bien equipado, además barato. Llegué con recelo tras leer algunos comentarios negativos pero quedamos gratamente sorprendidos. Tuvimos que esperar a las 3, hora local (1 menos que en España) para entrar ya que acababa de quedar libre y lo estaban limpiando. Luego a media semana pasaron a limpiar y cambiar las toallas otra vez. No tiene aire acondicionado, pero no lo necesitamos, ya que refresca bastante por la noche y hay que taparse y cerrar las ventanas así que perfecto después de pasar un día de calor. Tiene una pequeña tienda que es algo cara, pero era de esperar, de algún apuro te saca. En 10-20min en coche llegas a muchos sitios interesantes, supermercados (Lidl, Aldi), el centro histórico de Albufeira, varias playas, centro comercial Algarve Shopping, varios parques acuáticos.... Si pensáis comer en él llevad jabón y estropajo para limpiar los platos después, es lo único que no hay, por lo demás hay platos, vasos, cubiertos, tazas, ollas, sartén, tostador, microondas....

Não gostei da forma como fui recebido. A simpatia e o profissionalismo devem andar de braço dado.

Apartments are dates and the furniture in most of them are also from the same era. If your looking for somewhere cheap just for a base then they are all you need. Well situated being close to the beach and the strip. There also a nice seafront terrace just round the corner, with shops bars and restaurants.

Apartamento nuevo para 6-8adultos totalmente reformado. Lejos playa, pero bien ubicado para visitar la zona.

Mi estancia fue durante semana santa y he de decir, que los apartamentos eran geniales, en recepción nos atendieron fenomenal. Los apartamentos estaban muy limpios y pasaban todos los días a hacer las camas, recoger la basura, etc. Muy muy recomendable.

Only there for five nights, but enjoyed everyone of them, the staff were brilliant, always there for you and willing to go that extra mile, the accommodation was excellent, very spacious and spotlessly clean, it did get a bit rowdy when a group of irish lads turned up on a stag do but they were no trouble, actually added to the weekend. would i stay there again? the answer is definitely YES!! a little way off the strip and quite a walk but with taxi fares being so cheap it was`nt a concern. hope to go back there in the future!!
