Our family eats a lot of Chinese food in Ireland and we didn't expect to find one in Portugal, so we set a night out to dine there. The first thing to point out is the service, waiters were great and the food was quick to order and serve. The food was amazing, I love prawn crackers but the ones there were FRESH so I ordered another portion and finished that too. My food was great, it was just as good as back home, and it would be my best dined out meal in Albufeira for my family trip. The only negative point which is case by case is that a family member ordered something they don't usually eat, and it didn't agree with them. The big positives was the places looks, service, food and the toilets, they were immaculately clean.

Excellent meal. Good service not too long to wait for food even though the restaurant was very busy. Reasonable price.

Fantastic meal with great quick service. Staff were very friendly and had excellent customer service skills. We like to try somewhere different every night we are out but I think on this occasion we will be going back before we head back to Ireland .

First night in alberfia, going to the Big ShangHai was a real treat, the food was piping hot and absolutely delicious, the staff where first class, definitely going back there before returning to uk, looking forward to it

Came here last night...... 2 mins walk from our hotel. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Food was very tasty, reasonably priced and plenty of it! We were given 2 ports at the end of our meal..... A nice wee touch. Thank you!

Came here for a group booking of 24. All of our food came out at different times some waiting for their starters while others had already finished there mains when confronted staff was rude and told they could not cater for 24 people.
Food was cold, beef was chewy and inedible.
Would not eat here!!!! Never experienced staff like these so so rude !

Haben Hühnchen nach Pekingart gegessen, es war so gebraten, dass man davon nichts mehr geschmeckt hat. Hätte auch Schwein sein können. Uns hat es geschmacklich nicht überzeugt, es hat das gewisse Etwas gefehlt.

Resto clean, serveur/serveuse souriants avec toujours un regard attentionné sur les clients sans être "lourd". Plats : présentation très soignée, goût très bons. Mais mon mari néerlandais cuisine thaï, vietnamien, cambodgien... et je mets la barre gustative haute... We were a party of six and arrived early. Good job we did because it soon filled up and had people queuing for tables as we left. Service was quick. The food came and was both hot and delicious. The price was great too. We have been coming to Albuferia a few times each year for the past few, I don't know why we didn't try before now. Will definitely be returning.

The food was reasonably good but the service not good, my family received there starters first I was left waiting after 10 mins I asked staff and they just said my takes longer to cook, they didn't check just carried on.... After another 10 mins after everyone had finished there food and a waiter started to bring plates out for the main I asked again and was told my starter takes longer to cook he walked off with the plates, I was then asked what I had ordered after that about 10 mins later I received my starter with the excuse mine takes longer to cook ... now it may be me but what has that to do with bringing food out at the same time???

I have eaten Chinese food around Europe and can confirm Big Shanghai, although at the top end of the price range and wine is extra, is amongst the best! Lovely surroundings and attentive staff. Nothing to dislike.

Para mim o melhor restaurante de Portugal a nível de comida Asiática, rápido, comida muito boa, tudo sempre limpo e arranjado. Recomendo uma visita, ao almoço é bastante calmo, a noite é bastante movimentado.

Essen war lecker, aber diese ständige Beobachtung war nervend. Ebenso dass man alles einzeln auf Teller bekommen hat.

To start with the chairs are very uncomfortable for your back and it's also too dark inside. It is a really inpersonal experience get you in get you fed and get you out. My tomato soup, if you can call it that was watery and bland with globules of grease on the top of it. I had the stir fry beef with garlic and the rice to accompany this was a waste of time because I had absolutely no sauce with my dish The chicken with spring onions and ginger wasn't sizzling and was served with a gloupy unappetising sauce. We have visited other Asian restaurants in other countries where waiting on your table is complimentary chilli sauce and prawn crackers and at the end of a very satisfying and delicious meal instead of being rushed out you are offered a drink on the house. Can't understand why this restaurant gets so busy there must be better Chinese ones in Albuferia and on the Strip.

Absolutely great menu and food..staff are very helpful...This restaurant gets very busy which is always a good sign for good food..we waited only 5 minutes for a table when they were busy..price is very reasonable..They also do a takeaway service

Not the best
We had a meal for 4 people. Worst meal ever. Asked for curry no veg got mushrooms and onions. Also spicy pork clay pot no taste what's so ever. Fried rice not cooked still hard. Crispy pork balls doughy and sweet sour sauce was vinegar

Service without a smile!
Food okay, tasty enough and portion size good for cost, but if you're expecting polite service in a timely manner, then go elsewhere
I understand there is essentially double the language barrier here of Chinese to Portuguese to English, but there was zero interaction, simply an inquisitive "yes?" when asking what we'd like to order. Ordering felt very hurried, like we were being pressurised to order as quick as possible and staff weren't very pleasant.
Our main food dishes arrived 3/4 minutes before the accompanying rice, to the point we were concerned we weren't actually getting any sides.
Some vegetables would have been nice in my main dish of Pineapple chicken which was exactly that, pineapple and chicken... although, I'm still not 100% sure that was actually chicken!!
Table was cleared fairly quickly and we were clearly just another number, in and out as fast as possible for optimum turn over.
The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived but by the time we were leaving a large group of around 20 people had arrived and the restaurant was very noisy. Nice decor but not a great atmosphere.
We'd been here before around 3/4 years ago but I honestly wouldn't return after this visit

O melhor restaurante chinês de Albufeira. Pratos muito bem confeccionados, principalmente o pato à Pequim. A decoração está óptima, os empregados são simpáticos mas o serviço é lento, prepare-se para esperar por mesa. Tem muita procura. A espera vale bem a pena e é compensada pela qualidade da comida, absolutamente excelente!

The place is always packed and there are always ques which is usually a good sign. I went here twice and really enjoyed the food. Fair pricing too. The service is very hurried and rushed but the plus there is it keeps the que moving. Id personally recommend it. Expect good food at good prices but dont expect top drawer service.

Very poor. Came in as a group of 3 guys, we queued for about half an hour, only for some ignorant woman to let a couple that came after us, with no booking sit at a table that sits 4, leaving us to wait another 10minutes.
Staff very rude and wouldn't even place plates or drinks in front of us on the table. (Only one young member of staff with spikey hair saying 'enjoy' was the only thing said to us apart from ordering)
Food was rubbery and didn't taste great either. Wishing we hadn't wasted our time or money.

I asked for a Szechuan tofu and they brought me a huge plate of deep-fried tofu cubes with table salt and black pepper. For those of you who don't know what Szechuan tofu is, this was the equivalent of asking for a Chicken Tikka Masala and someone bringing you a plate of boiled chicken.

This restaurant underwent new ownership 2 years ago and we were disappointed last year. Tried again and found the food greatly improved. Really beautiful decor. Wait staff is from China and is rather abrupt because they don't know a lot of English but overall a good experience.

Sempre em alta. Um restaurante bem localizado, com várias opções de estacionamento nas proximidades. Serviço de categoria com os empregados sempre atentos e disponíveis. Sempre que vou ali sou surpreendido pela positiva. Dica: se gostam de picante peçam o frango na chapa quente com molho picante. É maravilhoso

Вкусно, тихо, чистенько, отличное обслуживание, приветливый персонал. Выбор сложный)) нет картинок. А фото которые выложены отзывчивыми гостями не подписаны)) выбирали на обум )) от того выкладываю фотографии с подписями блюд.
Но! Если вы только пришли вы можете выбрать блюдо на 2х персон! Вкусно и полное ассорти мяса, салат и рис с яйцом. Все попробуете и сразу))
И портвейн тут хороший ;-)

Worst restaurant of our trip,rude staff,brought us wrong order & refused to change,another waiter took the dish back & the original waiter followed him & returned with the original dish,insisting it was what we had ordered,then had the audacity to appear with a spoon & plate to scrape the sweet & sour sauce off my prawns,I got a menu & checked for my actual order as he had said it was not on menu,surprise surprise there it was on the menu,insisted we had to pay too as we had eaten 2 of the prawns,only 2 mind as they were slimey.AVOID

Quite slow service, like serving one dish at a time for a party of 12 & when asked to remove dishes, high tailed it back to the kitchen for another one dish. Also ordered water twice for the table & they brought out 3 glasses, one bottle and poured & when told again for whole table they just brought out glasses. The food was good - I struggled better Schezaun & Mongolian beef and was recommended the Mongolian (tomato and spicy sauce) - not at all spicy but deff the nicest dish we ordered.

Restaurante espaçoso e com decoração ao estilo chinês. Os pratos são variados e bem confeccionados. Existem possibilidades de menus para partilhar com pratos diversos, o que é sempre uma excelente opção.

Looked like we hit the 'second wave' and got a table for 4 promptly. Order taken swiftly but we ended up waiting an hour for food. Not sure why but a couple managed to get seated and finish starters and mains before we got our food. No real apology until the very end, however the food was amazing and really well priced. A must visit when in Albufeira!

The service and food was absolutely brilliant, we landed quite late and our family had a beautiful meal. The staff was friendly and brilliant with my granddaughter. Excellent service 5 *****. Would recommend.

Horrivel! Péssimo! 30min à espera de mesa. Após estarmos sentados em 1h hora vieram apenas 4 crepes, quando pedidas satisfações aos empregados nenhum dos 4 sabia sequer falar português e nunca era com eles. Relativamente à comida, crepes salgadissimos!! Lula frita igual e com kg de pimenta. Pato à pequim totalmente queimado! Galinha frita com amêndoas a saber a farturas panada em 1cm de farinha de fartura. O restaurante devia mudar de nome para boa sorte

Came to restaurant at 21:00, in front of us were about 25 people, had to wait outside- got in after 25 min waiting. Got food at 22:20-bit long time yo wait! Food very tasty and not overcooked- really enjoyed. 2adults+2 kids= 56euros, white wine Eur 11:50 across a street in shop is 2,60Euros. overall good food but slow!!!

As soon as we went into the place we were seen to straight away and seated. Everything ordered pritty quickly no waiting for 15-20 mins. Loads of portions and the crackers where lovely. The food was quick and seriously tasty. Also at the end they come out with a fresh hot towel wrapped up to wash your hands. Highly recommend this place.

Mmhhhh sehr lecker wir waren schon einige Male dort. Das Essen hat eine konstante leckere Qualität. Die Speisen sind nicht teuer.
Sehr freundliches Personal, es gibt auch eine deutsche Speisekarte also kann man nichts falsch machen. Kellner/in spricht super Englisch.

Open year round for lunch (closed between 3 and 5:30pm) and dinner. Good menu. Licenced with full bar. Little bit pricey but well worth the cost. Very good service. Beautifully decorated restaurant. Parking, as always in Albufeira, is a bit of a problem. One of our favourite Albufeira restaurants, highly recommended.

En mi caso me gusta el que suele haber en todos sitios unos sólo y grande .
Aquí son 3 pequeños y el relleno nada que ver no estaba mal pero me quedé con las ganas del de siempre.
El sitio es muy bonito y elegante.

Worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. Staff were rude and inattentive, with a 'get in get out' feel. Food either had no taste or was overly greasy and horrible to eat. I ordered a salt and pepper dish that had to be sent back because it was like they'd just emptied a whole tub of salt over the food. Really didn't enjoy eating here one bit and would definitely not recommend to anyone.

La comida muy buena pero la amabilidad inexistente la china al cargo es un callo malayo que parece que parece que te perdona la vida. El resto de camareros tienen pocas ganas de trabajar y cara de amargados, no me extraña, menos mal que la comida es buena!!!

Lovely looking restaurant with some awful Chinese food. Started off with a sharks fin soup where I couldn't see any meat at all. It was just all egg whites. The wife ordered a hot and sour soup which was far too meaty and was a meal on its own. The prawn crackers were lovely as were the chicken satay skewers and the seaweed but the rest of the starters were rubbish. We were told by loads of people to come here and left after the starters as it was that bad

Food lovely, service not so much. Very busy with a queue waiting for seats. They missed some of our order but did place it in our bill. Easily corrected but felt chased out to make room for more people. Card machine was stuck under my nose at the table with one word: "Card!"

Um dos melhores restaurantes em Albufeira. staff simpático, boa comida e tempo de espera razoável (o normal para quem pretende uma refeição descontraída). O restaurante tem grande capacidade mas, sendo um dos melhores, costuma encher rapidamente em alturas mais movimentadas. Poderá ter que aguardar por mesa.

중식당은 어딜가나 중간은 합니다. 여기도 마찬가지구요. 포르투갈 음식이 입에 안 맞기 시작했다면 한 전쯤 들려도 괜찮은 곳입니다. 가격도 합리적인 편이예요.
