Went with my boyfriend after reading all the positive reviews online. My hotel in the Algarve hadn’t heard of the restaurant, but I figured why not give it a try.
When we arrived, only one couple was there. It’s quite jarring to see a huge restaurant totally empty - the staff was so nice so I just thought maybe it’s because we’re in off season? Still, other restaurants are busy because there are only a few open this time of year, so we stayed, against my better judgement.
Ordered the prawns to start - I cannot express how bad they were. Already peeled shrimp - 6 total - smaller than a quarter, tough as rocks, and microwaved in a pool of butter. Just sad.
My boyfriend ordered the steak for his main, which just looked and tasted horrible. Even a slathering of sauce couldn’t resurrect this awful cut of meat. Tough.
My main was octopus. By the look, it is gorgeous. Don’t be fooled. By 5am, I was glued to the toilet, violently sick every 30 minutes through 4pm. A full day later, I still can’t stomach a full meal. Such a disappointment and really the only black mark on my otherwise beautiful vacation.

Super restaurant, cuisine fine et bien présentée. La terrasse champêtre est vraiment agréable et la musique jouée rend l'atmosphère intime.
Je conseille vivement.

This is an amazing little restaurant in the heart of Algarve! Although the location might put you off initially please don’t: the food is SPECTACULAR, well prepared, well presented, flavorful and very well catered! I had the trio of fish and my husband the ribeye and both dishes were extremely tasty. Well worth a visit or even two.

O melhor restaurante que visitei no algarve. Além de termos reservado pelo site "thefork" com 30% de desconto, o atendimento e comida foram excelentes (cataplana deliciosa). Espaço de fora acolhedor. Aconselho!

Restaurante muito agradável, ambiente simpático e intimista. O staff é muito prestável é bastante simpáticos de uma maneira genuína e equilibrada. A comida é bastante saborosa também. O preço é algo elevado mas está coerente com o requinte do mesmo.

Wonderful food, Great service,Super atmosphere. We went there as a group of 11 guys, the best meal we had while golfing here in the area. The host was fabulous.

Super food but bad service !!! 3 times (At the entrance, when we order and after starter) we asked to get inside because my wife was cold and no answer... And staff put the fault on us when finally we take the lead to get in... Awesome ! The chef of this Restaurant should take a sit and enjoy the ride ! Even more when you appreciate the slated bill !

2016, 2017, 2018, toujours très satisfaits de ce restaurant. Pourtant lors de notre dernier passage en mars 2018, nous nous sommes étonnés que le menu du jour ne figure plus sur papier.
Il est ennoncé de vive voix à chaque convive! Bien évidemment au final, on ne se rappelle plus de toutes les entrées, des plats principaux, etc... Cette nouvelle formule est tout sauf efficace! Il paraît que cela évite de refaire les menus à chaque changement de proposition de plats. Effectivement mais alors pourquoi pas le tableau noir, avec les menus écrits à la craie chaque jour. C'est une formule qui évitera de faire répéter une ou deux fois la liste des plats à la commande avec la perte de temps que cela génère en cas d'affluence!
Merci de bien vouloir réfléchir à cette proposition qui devraient donner satisfaction au plus grand nombre de vos convives.

The service went from a 10 to a 3 since Miguel left. The owner doesn't realise that going out to dinner is an experience, a feeling , a treat , Miquel understood that and made you feel special as quest. Been there many times but the last visit was a disappointment to say the least, 2 1/2 hours we had to wait to get the main course on steel treated chairs killing my back.The waitresses were great but the choreography was let by the owner using an earpiece like he was the personal security of the group. Groups of more then 6 is something they can't handle anymore and will ruin your evening. I have no idear what happens when you are with a small group of 4 , but if they want to save the restaurant, get Miguel back !!!!! The food is a 10 but the service is a 1 . When Miguel comes back , we will too

Fantastic food! We sat in their beautiful garden and tried one of their starters, two catches of the day and some dessert and it was all delicious. You might want to book a table in advance and be aware that this is a more pricey place.

Faz muito tempo que não comia tão bem, todos os ingredientes com cheiro apurado, uma experiência extraordinária que recomendo, como é possível um restaurante desta qualidade em Almancil, não sei se espalho ou se fico calado, não vá ficar igual à Marina do desespero Vilamoura. Parabéns!

Service et cadre sont très bien. La cuisine, inexistante ! Poissons congelés, légumes de même. Très cher pour la qualité. Les vins sont très chers aussi. Passez cet établissement.
