The accommodation and the staff that hadeld that was nice and friendly. But the staff on the golf course was not nice at all. We was yelled at two times for two different home made rules that no one had told us about. And was not written down anywhere so you could read about it. The course was not especially good either. So thumbs down for the course and thumbs up for the accommodation.

Ein Ort für Ruhesuchende mit sportlichen Ambitionen. Die zu der Anlage gehörenden Golfplätze sind eine Herausforderung für jede Spielstärke. Ein E- Kart ist für die stark ondulierte Anlage angebracht.

Der Golfplatz liegt direkt an der Grenze zu Spanien. Ich habe 9 Löcher gespielt. Design ist gut, der Pflegezustand sehr gut. Keine Wohnbebauung direkt am Platz, was sehr positiv auffällt. Die Clubhausterrasse ist wunderschön mit einem tollen Blick. Einziges Manko, die Übungsanlage ist relativ klein, das Abschlagen war nur von Matten möglich. Auf jeden Fall ist die Anlage einen Besuch Wert.

Golf de 3 x 9 trous au milieu des collines donc vallonné, une voiturette est souhaitée, bon état général , difficultés agréables aussi bien pour les pros que débutants. Un peu d eau, dénivelés parfois importants, avec une vue sur l océan, l Espagne, le fleuve Guadiana, et les collines au nord. Intéressant, attention quand le vent se lève....
Accueil et resto sympathique ,magnifique terrasse au sud. Disponibilités de logements en villa. Forfaits séjour golf très intéressants. Francis

Used to be one of my favourite courses but now there are too many people playing who are ignorant of golf etiquette. Just spent 30 mins on 3rd hole of Grouse while two in front played fishing for balls in the lake. All to often these people are Scandinavians. You need to insist on proper handicap certificates you are turning good golfers away.

Really enjoy playing this course. It's our favourite in the eastern algarve. Lovely scenery and an interesting layout. Definitely need to hire buggies because of the hills.

Our stay at Castro Marim was a last minute decision. A one night stop in our itinerary on the Algarve coast. We did regret we could not stay any longer our villa was exceptional.2 BR, 3 BA. The staff directed us to a very nice restaurant although the clubhouse had its own. This would also be a golfer paradise. It is 2 kms from the Spanish border and it. Could be a great extention to an Andulasian trip.

Really good break and location as close to beaches and Spanish border. Only complaint was the pool was cold and not heated which resulted in our 18 month old getting cold quickly. If this was heated it would have been perfect.

Ja estive aqui por varias vezes. As vilas são super espaçosas e equipadas com todo, mesmo todo. Fantastico para passar ferias, fica um pouco afastado da praia mas com carro demora no máximo uns 10 min. A area da piscina e envolvente e super agradável e limpa. Vou sempre com crianças que adoram o espaco em geral. No fim do dia ainda pode disfrutar do por sol no horizonte para as salinas de castro marim ou para o mar. Recomendo pois e mesm o5 estrelas.

Wir waren 12 Tage im Juli in einer Villa mit zwei Schlafzimmern. Als erstes noch einmal lieben Dank an das überaus nette und zuvorkommende Personal, die sind Klasse ! Die Villen sind sehr schön, man kann einen tollen , erholsamen Urlaub haben. Mietwagen ist ein must have. Die drei 9-Loch Plätze fand ich vom Zustand her absolut Spitze, sehr schön gestaltet, anspruchsvoll und abwechslungsreich. Der Pflegezustand, besonders bei diesen Temperaturen,Top. Kleines Manko vielleicht die Sauberkeit der Sitzpolster im Restaurant, dort könnte man mit wenig Aufwand etwas verbessern und einen wunderbaren Gesamteindruck hinterlassen. Wir werden bestimmt mal wiederkommen.

We have played Castro Marim, and experienced it as a nice golf course. The course was pretty busy course maintenance was good.
The clubhouse was extremely understaffed, with just one hard working lady and quite a number of groups ordering food and drinks.

Quite a remote location but if you have a car you’ll be fine. Lovely villas, and the one we had was wonderful as it had the added bonus of a back garden (only 4 villas on the entire complex had this).Bit of an issue with bird poo in the outside patio areas so could do with the occasional mop out there but other that that the villa was spotless.

Die Anlage ist sehr schön mit interessanten Golfplätzen. In der1. Woche waren die Plätze noch nicht so gut, aber ab der 2. Woche wurden sie richtig bearbeitet und es hat Spaß gemacht darauf zu spielen. Manches Loch hat so seine TückenUnsere Villa war sehr gut ausgestattet, nur die Polster könnten erneuert werden. Die Ausstattung entsprach genau dem Angebot. Das Personal ist rundherum sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zum Strand und zum einkaufen sind es ca 7 km.

Die Häuser sind phantastisch. Unseres hatte zwei Schlafzimmer jeweils mit eigenem Bad. Dazu Küche mit Geschirrspüler, Wasch-Trockner, Herd, Backofen, Mikrowelle, Toaster, Wasserkocher. Die Kapselkaffeemaschine benutzen wir nicht, da wir lieber Filterkaffee trinken. Da wir bereits zum 2.Mal dort waren, haben wir uns einen Filter mitgebracht. Man kann auch ins Clubhaus frühstücken fahren, aber da wir einen Hund haben und es in den Supermärkten der Umgebung alles wunderbar frisch gibt, haben wir im Haus gefrühstückt und dann lieber die anderen Mahlzeiten in den landestypischen Lokalen der Umgebung eingenommen. Man muss ein Auto haben für diese Unterkunft, aber das sollte man sowieso, damit man in die entlegenen Ecken dieses wunderschönen Landesteils fahren kann. Alle drei Tage ist im übrigen Wäschewechsel und Reinigung und genug saubere Handtücher plus Badetücher finden sich in den Schränken. Wifi funktioniert wunderbar-und war auch ausreichend für die Familienmitglieder, die im Urlaub noch Konferenzen abhalten mussten. Wir hoffen, bald wieder dort zu sein.

We arrived here late at night after our previous reservation elsewhere cancelled on us at the last minute. It was not easy to find somewhere to accept us last minute with two dogs, but from the moment we arrived at Castro Marim G&CC the service and attention of the staff was impecable. Two of the 24hr security team met us on arrival, carried out a very speedy check-in and took us to our villa. They made sure we were happy with everything, had food to prepare a late dinner and even offered to show us around the gym and sauna if we wanted!! The villa itself was impecably clean, well-equipped and the two terraces were ideal for enjoying both the morning and afternoon sun. Not being golfers, I can't comment on the courses but the restaurant in the clubhouse was great! We'll definitely repeat.

Wir spielen kein Golf sondern übernachten hier nun schon zum zweiten Mal für ein paar Tage.
Gerade in der Nebensaison sind die Preise günstig. Wir hatten sowohl ein Haus mit 2 und eines mit 3 Schlafzimmern, die beide in Ordnung waren.
Sauberkeit ist gut und die Ausstattung auch.

Villa très bien aménagée, très fonctionnelle, mais léloignement de tout oblige à disposer dun véhicule, seule la piscine permet de se détendre sur place, cet ensemble Villas-Hôtel est plutôt destiné en priorité aux golfeurs (superbe green). En ce qui concerne le restaurant de lHôtel, la cuisine est de très bonne qualité.

Die Appartements (Häuser) haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und in Top-Zustand! Wir haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt. Die Anlgae ist sehr ruhig gelegen, weshalb ein Mietwagen notwendig ist, aber es lohnt sich die Umgebung zu erkunden und ins Landesinnere zu fahren. Landschaftlich top! Und die Strände an der Küste sind in 10 Minuten erreichbar und ebenfalls lohnenswert.Die Anlage selber bietet zwei große Pools, die sehr gepflegt sind.Da wir keine Golfer sind, können wir die Plätze nicht beurteilen. Machten optisch aber ebenfalls einen guten Eindruck.

As vilas são excelentes, equipadas com tudo o necessário para uma estadia maravilhosa, todos os electrodomésticos em excelente estado e a casa óptima. Os empregados super educados e atenciosos. A proximidade ao guadiana e os imensos campos de golf proporcionam uma vista fantastica neste refugio de férias em castro marim. Recomendo a todos que visitem a praia da cacelha velha pois é fantástica.

Spelade golf och käkade på restaurangen. Banan var under vårt besök i väldigt dåligt skick. Samtliga tees var dåliga och greenerna var näst intill ospelbara. Så kan det såklart vara, men väldigt dåligt att det inte informerades om det när vi checkade in. De tog dessutom fullpris för banan. Positivt är att klubben har tre niohålsslingor som man kan kombinera som man vill, eller bara spela en av. Ett måste på denna bana är också buggy, då banan är väldigt kuperad. Bra service i restaurangen, men hamburgarna var inte goda. Inget hemmagjort, utan färdiga frysta som bara stekts på.

Resort is very nice, house was great, pool and snack bar also very nice. There is no cleaning during stay but it was ok. I was surprised trash cans for plastics, glas etc were locked and they provided information they dont use it. I have seen sorting trash cans almost everywhere in Portugal but here it was just for image. There is almost everything in house but no thing lke tablet to dishwasher. You have to go to reception and buy one... But overall it was very nice stay and I can recommand it to everyone.

We stayed in a villa, it was beautiful and close to the pool. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you may need, except dish soap, and a bottle opener. We had a power outage in our unit and an alarm was going off, but no one responded to the alarm. The phone was disconnected so we had to visit reception twice before we were attended to. Power outage was due to a faulty toaster.

Fantastic find, fab villa great for two couples. Furnishings, bathrooms all quality finishings. Courses (3x9 holes) all in great condition and can be played in different sequence. Excellent value for money, a definite return trip.

Superbe hotel resort. Le personnel y est très sympathique. Les villas individuels permettent une autonomie totale car elle comprenne tout: cuisine complète avec tout type d'accessoire, lave linge, lave vaisselle etc. Petit bémol pour la piscine, et pour l'obligation de prendre la voiture pour acceder au restaurant. Dans l'ensemble c'est plutôt bien surtout si vous êtes golfeurs!

A limpeza em geral estava fora do contexto, chão muito sujo.
Não havia papel higénico suficiente nos wc's para 4 dias.
A cuba da cozinha estava entupida.
A máquina de lavar loiça estava cheia e a 'chefe' da limpeza informou:
- Somos poucas, não temos tempo para fazer tudo......
Pedimos ajuda para tentar entender como a máquina de lavar loiça funcionava, uma vez que a colocámos no programa ECO às 20h00 e no dia seguinte às 9h00, ainda estava 'ad eternum' a funcionar.
Ninguém sabia, como trabalhar com a máquina e qual o programa mais curto.....
Fomos insultados e agredidos por funcionário muito mal formado, que estava de baixa médica da SS e que afinal andava a trabalhar!!!!!
Esta estadia de 4 dias e 3 noites, na época natalícia, foi um verdadeiro 'faits divers' e pesadelo!
Os vizinhos da vila mais próxima, um casal muito simpático (sra inglesa e sr italiano), com os quais almoçámos e jantámos, também compartilharam connosco a sua experiência:
- Depois de fazerem chek in, 8 dias antes de nós, i.e., dia 15 de Dezembro. Na vila deles o ar condicionado estava avariado. Pediram ajuda e ninguém apareceu. Foram comprar cavacos para colocar na lareira, e afinal a lareira era só decoração (fingida). Ficaram com a vila cheia de fumo e quase a sufocar/morrer!
A recepção, infelizmente, só funciona das 9h00 às 19h00.
A partir dessa hora, todos os telefonemas são encaminhados para o BAR e somos informados que a recepção está encerrada, mas se quiser uma bebida, pode fazer o pedido, que a mesma será entregue no local.
Se se tentar ligar para o nr disponivel 24h00, aparece um segurança muito mal educado/formado.
Às 8h00 da manhã, aparece uma espécie de carrinha pequena, que retira os sacos de lixo do contentor, no entanto a pessoa que faz esse trabalho, abre todos os sacos de lixo lá colocados, á porta das moradias e revolve tudo!
Afinal, maior parte dos hóspedes são estrangeiros e têm dinheiro para poder alugar aquelas vilas!
Pode ser que deixem algo esquecido.
O que revela que são todos muito mal pagos!

Geweldig leuke en variabele baan. Prachtige uitzichten en een genot om de 3 x 9 holes verschillend te lopen. Prachtig uitzicht bij hole 19 en beslist niet te duur. Zeer aan te bevelen wanneer u in de Algarve bent en van golfen houdt. Eigenlijk 6 sterren waard!!!

The staff and set-up of the villas and complex are to an excellent standard. This includes the golf courses, that were in a beautiful setting and very well tended.A majority of employees went out their way to provide extra service, though the service staff around the golf didnt shine so well as the facilities and reception personnel. What let the experience down was just a few touches that could have made 5-star: basic cleaning amenities in villa to aid its upkeep, a clearer transparency of food hours and better distinction in its online sources as to what is offered in Summer against the autumn season.Final point - definitely hire a car if staying here.

Swimming pool was excellent . Either swimming or just sitting by it with a glass of wine !! Please realise this was not a hotel. Villas round a very good golf course !! The club house had a restaurant but we didnt use it.

Asked you for two villas near each other, one with a pool and one without, however this is not possible. The pool villas are entirely separate. We were supposed to have been informed about this but we were not.. Luckily they had a pool villa vacant close to the other one and they let us have that. I think it was you who were supposed to tell us as they did not have our email address. Otherwise everything was good pwith our holiday in spite of a worring start. And at 80 plus years old you dont want that !

Check in was fairly fast, we were escorted to apartment and shown all the amenities. Enjoyed a swim in the large immaculate pool. Grounds are well-maintained. Could not have been better....wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the area and accommodations.

Alojamento de qualidade em convívio com a natureza da proximidade da Reserva do Guadiana.
Vale a pena descansar ou passear neste complexo com uma grande área dedicada ao golfe.
Piscina bem cuidada, bem como todas as moradias que possuem os equipamentos indispensáveis em estado novo.
Atendimento simpático e eficiente.
Convém levar carro....

The place was amazing from the villa to the views. The washer/dryer did not work well, but that was the only issue. I would definitely stay there again!

Wij hebben eind februari 2016 7 dagen gegolfd op deze prachtige locatie. Uitstekende, compleet ingerichte bungalows in de 'Village' met faciliteiten voor tenminste 2x2 personen. Alle kamers voorzien van TV en ruim voldoende sanitair.
De 9-holes golfbanen (3) kunnen in verschillende combinaties gespeeld worden om zo iedere dag een afwisselend 18 holes parcour te kunnen spelen. Veel hoogte verschillen met prachtige uitzichten.
Houdt wel rekening met de temperatuur in februari; het kan qua temperatuur nog wel eens 'fris' zijn.
Zeer aan te bevelen als golfbestemming. Geboekt via Primavera-reizen.

Perdu au milieu dune petite route de campagne, la voiture est indispensable. Le personnel est en général serviable quoique pas toujours efficace. Les maisons sont à un bon km de laccueil hotelier avec le restaurant et la boutique, du terrain de golf et de la salle de sports avec sauna. La ville la plus proche est à 7 km.Villas grandes avec du mobilier plutot haut de gamme, mais je minterroge sur la taille de la cuisine vu le peu daccessoires pour cuisiner (2 poeles et 2 fait-tout), par contre profusion de verres à pieds et couverts (dont à dessert). Prévoir ses capsules nespresso, produits lave vaisselle car en dehors dun jeu damenities dans les 2 salles deau (pour 2 semaines) tout est payant. La salle de sports est moyennement équipée.... En septembre cétait plutot désert. Le ménage se résume à un coup de chiffon sur les lavabos et sanitaires et 1 balayage/lavage succinct en 2 semaines. Changement des serviettes et draps 2 fois /semaine et serviettes pour la piscine à disposition aussi. Proximité de lespagne, et de Séville, belles visites à prévoir donc. Si vous venez en avion ou par le train surtout louez une voiture.Piscine non chauffée si vous venez hors saison.
