We spent 3 hours here eating because it was that good. It was one of those dinners you walk away from and just say WOW. Every plate was well thought out, and the staff was so friendly joking around with us the whole night. Highly recommend this lovely place.

J'ai beau chercher, pas une fausse note à deplorer. L'accueil chaleureux, la salle, la qualité exceptionnelle des mets proposés et surtout le sourire et la simplicité des patrons.
Un 5* bien mérité !

This is a lovely little farm-to-table Bistro near the Castle, featuring super friendly and curtious staff, searving the best food I have found so far in Portugal. Can not recommend highly enough, just go!

Very good cooking of farm product. Fish are fresh and very well cooked. Very pleasant meal with our little baby. Sevice was perfect and smily. Excellent quality/price ratio.

Riktigt prisvärt. Maten hade kostat det dubbla hemma i Sverige. Värt varenda euro. De hemnmodlade grönsakerna smakade fantastiskt även fast de inte såg mycket ut för världen. Passionerad ägare som visar stor kärlek till maten. Hamburgaren kunde dock varit bättre. Boka bord innan. Ett ställe ni måste besöka om ni åker till Tavira. (Kan även flika in att jag själv är kock).

Mein Mann und ich wollten unseren 1. Hochzeitstag besonders zelebrieren und sind auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam geworden. Wir haben eine leckere Käseauswahl als Vorspeise gewählt und als Hauptspeise Fisch (Seebarsch) und Black Pork. Die Teller für den Hauptgang waren vorgewärmt. Der empfohlene Wein war hervorragend. Sogar zu einem Dessert ließen wir uns hinreißen.. Sehr gute Küche und die Inhaber des Restaurants sind sehr aufmerksam Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder. Wir können das Restaurant sehr empfehlen. Einziges Manko: Nur Barzahlung, da sie kein Kartenlesegerät haben.

Décoré avec beaucoup de goût et une ambiance très conviviale, j'adore cette adresse.
Légumes du potager, poisson du jour et viandes sélectionnées avec beaucoup de soins. Tout est réuni pour passer un excellent moment!!!!

Parfait ! Chorizo flambé à l'eau de vie de figue, des serveurs tres attentifs, un prix raisonnable... aucune fausse note, à conseiller sans modération.
Pour reprendre un terme tendance : un bistronomique !!!

Certamente uno dei migliori se non il miglior ristorante di tutto l’Algarve! Magnifico ambiente, curato e pulito, cibo superbo perfettamente abbinato con La maestria di chi il mestiere lo conosce davvero bene...
bravi bravi bravi!! Unico difertuccio no carta di credito ma a parte ciò prezzi perfettamente contenuti e fattibili anche in contanti! Non consigliato di PIÙ!! Eccellente!!

This was a big surprise to us. We were just wandering and we saw the sign. We looked up reviews online and decided to try it. All 5 stars rating were true. The food was amazing, the service impeccable. They made sure our night was unique. I definitely recommend it to anyone.

Intimate, convivial, fine dining using fresh local ingredients with a contemporary approach. Friendly and knowledgeable staff speaking many languages and eager to share their knowledge. Clearly a local favorite with many regular repeat clients. Make a reservation to assure availability. Ideal for either small groups or romantic dining experience.

We had a mix of tapas starters and the fish of the day main. All excellently prepared and served by the knowledgeable and friendly staff. Faced with a dessert list to die for, we couldn't make a decision. No problem as our host said the chef would be happy to prepare a medley of them all on a single platter enough for everyone.This, and the varied and reasonable wine list means we will be back again soon.

Todas las reseñas que recomiendan ir tienen toda la razon, mi novia y yo quedamos impactados por la elaboración y presentación tan exquisita de sus platos. Aunque el personal no sepa español no es ningún inconveniente, son muy amables.
Pedimos el carpaccio de atún, de 10. Tabla de quesos de 10. Magret de pato, crujiente y delicioso, un 15. El pulpo empanado es el único plato que no me convenció mucho pero también estaba bueno.
Si a todo eso le añadimos el precio, el sitio es espectacular. A unos 20 euros por persona.
Recomiendo la experiencia sin duda, de los mejores sitios que hemos comido últimamente.
También recomiendo reservar para asegurarse mesa después del paseíto.

Fantastic restaurant from the moment we make contact to book to leaving. Food excellent. We tried a selection of starters and had both seafood and meat main courses. All exceptional. Desserts were again devoured by all in our party but it is the excellent service and warm welcome that brings this restaurant to a new level. Will definitely be back

Restaurante muy recomendable. Ligeramente separado del centro, pero no más de un par de minutos.
Servicio muy atento, encantadores con los comensales.
Comida muy cocinada, con materias primas de calidad. Recomiendo el pescado del día. (Dorada muy buena).

Perfect balance between portuguese and the French cuisine.
I ate the octopus and the pork ribs, also tried the duck magrett, it was all SO GOOD, although a bit pricy, but the experience was worth the price.

No soy de las personas, que presumen de que siempre aciertan en los restaurantes, es más solo suelo poner comentarios en aquellos sitios que la comida y el servicio es pésimo, pero está vez, creo que es de bien nacido ser agradecido y este local por la atención y muy de lejos por su buena cocina se merece mi gratitud y recomendarlo sinceramente por el esmero que han puesto en toda su cocina, todo exquisito.

True happiness is eating at Artefact
We travel widely for both work and holidays and Artefact is genuinely one of the most wonderful restaurant experiences we have encountered. The restaurant itself is very comfortable (no cramped seating, no rushing customers in and out) and it is artistically designed. The chef is hugely talented and the food is innovative and delicious. Our 14 year old niece who is vegetarian was so pleased when the Chef discussed what sort of sauce she would like. The chef also has a great sense of humour! The service was exceptional, great knowledge of food and wine and very attentive. We had really interesting discussions about the food, different types of wine, the ethos of the restaurant and a lot of fun and laughter with the lovely man that served us. Artefact is a restaurant that really cares about the quality of food and service, rather than about just making a quick profit. Can't wait to go back ...

Sinceramente lo hemos disfrutado de lo lindo, personalmente me ha encantado. Nosotros hemos probado el crujiente de espárragos para compartir y la hamburguesa Artefact y estaba realmente delicioso. Además, por si esto fuera poco, el trato de lo mejorcito, muy amables y atentos.
Una pena no haber podido probar el postre! Ya no nos quedaba hueco para comer más! Queda pendiente para la siguiente visita!

Lo encontramos por su reseñas y no se equivocaban. Está apartado del centro pero merece muchísimo la pena acercarse hasta aquí. La comida buenísima y el trato muy amable. Reserva antes! Se llena muy pronto

Dizem que cultivam os seus ingredientes vegetais e a qualidade da comida parece comprová-lo. Mas não é só a distinta qualidade dos vegetais, é também a confecção inventiva. Os traços franceses fizeram-nos temer o tamanho das doses, mas sem fundamento. Tudo muito bom, quantidades adequadas à gula lusa.
Uma nota: a esplanada não é bem uma esplanada, é preferível comer no interior

Das Artefact ist im Januar 2018 eröffnet worden. Zwei junge Leute, die frischen Wind in die Gastronomie in Tavira bringen. Die Küche ist der portugiesischen Tradition verpflichtet, bringt aber französische Impluse rein. Die Karte ist gut assortiert, kein Schnickschnack. Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, ohne anbiedernd zu sein. Wir haben sehr gut gegessen, wenn das Essen für hiesige Verhältnisse etwas zu stark gesalzen war. Man fühlt sich hier als Gast gut aufgehoben. Reklamationen werden ernst genommen. Gerne wieder!

Wir haben es zufällig entdeckt da es etwas abseits liegt. Haben nach dem Essen sofort wieder für den nächsten Tag reserviert!!
Sehr stilvolles Ambiente. Absolut freundliche und kompetente Bedienung. Aber das Wichtigste das Essen ist wirklich super. Kein Einheitsfisch oder Fleisch mit Standardgemüse wie man es hier oft bekommt. Mit Phantasie und handwerklichem Geschick wird auch für das Auge was geboten!!! Siehe Bilder!
Schätze der Laden wird sich schnell rumsprechen war bereits jetzt schon voll gebucht!
Für einen leicht höheren Preis bekommt man hier gehobene Küche die deutlich mehr Wert ist!
