Excellent accueil pour ce restaurant depuis sa reprise. Le poulpe au miel et à la moutarde est un régal et la morue délicieuse. Un service efficace et souriant., Une carte variée. Le site est très agréable face à la Ria.

We had the most amazing seafood meal at this place - have been traveling for a month in Spain and Portugal and it was the best seafood meal yet! The service was excellent, conversations with the waiter interesting and the meal was cooked perfectly and good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Eten was oké, veel vis in de paella maar erg duur. Niet dezelfde problemen gehad als de andere reviews maar dat komt omdat wij het brood niet accepteerde. Daarnaast waren de drankjes (Cola) 3 euro per stuk, duurder als andere restaurants waar er zijn geweest.

Horrible experience, avoid this place like the plague, and please read the other reviews as we all seem to be saying the same thing. It is very unfortunate that this place doesn't seem to come up on Google searches as they are going to continue to pull unsuspecting tourists into their restaurant and spoil their evenings. Our experience was thus: 1. Very rude and unhelpful service which began with a male waiter effectively insulting us for asking for help to choose wine. We do not know much about Portuguese wine. We should have left at this point. 2. He then brought a bottle of white wine and when we said we didn't want white, argued with us and said that we had been looking at the white wine list. This was incorrect as I confirmed later on looking at the menu a second time. He then brought us a bottle of red that he recommended. This was very poor. I later checked online and saw that it was a cheap €4 bottle. They charged us €19 for this. 3. I ordered a steak in pepper sauce, my girlfriend ordered cod. The steak was appalling, overcooked, full of gristle and swimming in a lake of watery sauce. The cod was dry, flavourless and small. 4. At that point we decided to not eat the mains and asked them to bring a bill for the wine and a starter of mussels we had eaten. Despite, after a couple of arguments, having the mains (which we had barely touched) removed from the bill, they still managed to charge us €38. 5. On the way out the staff and manager actually abused us in front of other customers. Neither of us has ever experienced anything like this before, the level of unprofessionalism was incredible. Not only was the food awful, but they have no concept of customer service, are very rude and I do believe that they are also just not nice people. If you are lucky enough to see these reviews before you decide to eat here, please do avoid at all costs. Tavira has some fantastic places to eat so you should not be stuck for other options.

Fraquíssimo!!! Atendimento zero... e ainda se ouve comentários “vou sair depois das 2h da manhã, os clientes não têm dignidade”. Preço exagerado para a qualidade apresentada.

Absolute Touristenabzocke. Habe noch nie so schlecht gegessen! Bloß nicht dort hin gehen. Preise überteuert und mit der Vorspeise versucht man die Gäste noch zusätzlich abzuzocken, indem etwas gebracht wird, was man nicht bestellt hat. Wir wollten Brot mit Butter und Oliven bestellt, bekamen aber auch Käse und Sardinenpaste. Dachte es wäre auch dabei und am Schluss war es sehr teuer mit auf der Rechnung. Selbst die Vorspeise war geschmacklich schlecht obwohl man da eigentlich nichts falsch machen ksnn. Meine Tochter hatte Spagetti mit Gemüse bestellt. Es waren wenige Spagetzi in ganz viel Öl und mit Dosengemüse ( Bohnen, Erbsen und Karotten). Meine Dorade war total klein und geschmacklich nicht gut. Dazu gab es drei kleine Fertigkartoffel und etwas welken Salat und das für 15 Euro. Anschließend hatte ich Magenschmerzen. Meine Tochter hatte fast nichts gegessen, was sicher besser war. Ich kann nur abraten! Tags zuvor waren wir in Tavira so gut essen, dass wir mit so etwas Schlechtem nie gerechnet haben.

Preços altíssimos. Ainda tentaram cobrar vinte e tal euros a mais na conta, se não estivéssemos atentos pagavamos a mais.

Horrible place. Don't go there. Absolute rip-off and tourist trap. A tattoed lady tries to catch the tourist fromt the street, desperatly wanting them to eat at the location. We ignored her, but as the restaurants nearby were full, we ended up there (nice boat dishes were displayed, somewhat the place seemed to be a nice local place). Once seated, the tattoed lady went on telling us about some great specialities and gave us, beside the menu, a small paper with the best specialities (no prices on it). We decided to go with one of the dishes on the small paper, and asked for the price. In the meanwhile another waiter put a starter on our table with olives, cheese and bread, with a slight question "you'd like some cheese and bread?!". We saw the price for the Hot Pan mixed fish boat (49€). At this moment we already had a very bad feeling. The tattoed girl has the energy of a Con-Artist, thimblerigger or sales person. When we got the starter we already felt trep with the feeling, that they forced a starter on us which will ask for payment. When we got our 50€ 2-person dish we got confirmation. A boal with some pieces of fish (3 prawn, some salmon, some other things) in a water like sauce and 2 small potatos. No rice or any side dish. Just a complete rip off. For less than that price the night before we had high cuisine food at a place nearby. In the end this place just feels like a very well planned through tourist ripp of. They try to sneak the overprices "specialities" on to the tourist and charge for everything (dish, forces starter etc.). Once we got the main dish, we decided to leave without eating there. We were able to return our food and were charged 17.50€ for 1 glass of wine and a can of Coke (+ the never ordered starter). Only + is that we were able to go without paying the 50€. Other than that: Do not go there, this place is filled with very bad energy.

Ibamos 9 personas y desde q t sientas ya t estan engañando, poniendote en la mesa pate d sardina, mantequilla, queso y olivas (q tu no has pedido) y x lo q nosotros pagamos posteriormente casi 30€ (solo x esto) y la comida... no es nada dl otro mundo para el precio q tiene. En definitiva s aprovechan dl turista y dl desconocimiento dl idioma

We had a very tasty lunch last week at Marés restaurant, the best Bacalhau á Braz ever eaten! Friendly service and good staff attention. It crowned a lovely day out in Tavira.

Acabamos de rebote por recomendación de la dueña del restaurante contiguo (A barquinha) por estar completo. Fuimos en familia, 6 adultos y 3 niños, y todos acabamos encantados. Pescado fresco y bien preparado a la brasa que estaba riquísimo. De entrantes, compartimos unas brochetas de calamar que también estaban buenísimas. Lo mejor, en cualquier caso, fue la atención del personal. Joao, quién nos atendió, fue encantador con nosotros. Acabamos repitiendo unos días después. Joao nos dijo que nos conseguiría un pescado grande para todos y así fue. Ni que decir tiene que estaba también muy rico. El precio, el primer día fueron 270€, habiendo pedido entrantes para compartir, pescado, postres para compartir y varias botellas de vino. El segundo día, fueron 360€, pero es que un pescado así bien vale la diferencia. En cualquier caso, muy buen precio teniendo en cuenta que éramos 9 personas y la calidad del producto es excelente. Sin duda, volveremos.

Servers were friendly and attentive. The grilled tuna and grilled salmon were ‘outstanding’. Service was efficient and prepared quickly. Previous 1-Star reviews do not make sense from what we experienced. Music from street performers was good but they should not be permitted to solicit tips table-to-table from the gullible Proper English speakers!

Espaço remodelado e com ótima aparência. Como entradas, comemos um camarão com molho de alho que estava simplesmente divinal. Prato principal, espetada de tamboril e espetada de lulas com camarão. Produtos frescos e deliciosos. Sobremesas caseiras e muito saborosas, aconselhamos vivamente a experimentar

Fraco. 6 Sardinhas deploráveis com 4 pequenas batatas a acompanhar. Um local destes merecia muito melhor qualidade. A não repetir certamente.

Trato muy correcto. Brocheta de camarón y calamar espectacular. Entrecot a la portuguesa muy rica. Precio algo elevado pero adecuado a la calidad. 2 adultos y un niño por unos 60€.

Recomendable sin duda !! Los camareros son muy amables y las recomendaciones son muy de fiar. Les preguntamos por una cataplana y nos recomendaron que pidiéramos la de pescado ( que era bastante más barata que la que íbamos a pedir) y resultó exquisita, llevamos 3 días en Tavira y ya hemos ido 2 veces. Pescado fresquísimo y muy bien cocinado, además no resultó muy bien de precio.

Un buen restaurante, servicio atento y correcto. Los camareros dispuestos a explicar dudas sobre la carta y aconsejar al cliente. En mi caso muy buena experiencia con el bacalao grelhado y esperadas de tamboril y gambas a la brasa muy buenas. Sin duda repetiría un saludo.

Ottima cataplana, gentili e veloci con meravigliosa vista sul canale.

Contrairement aux autres avis, on ne nous a pas alpagué. Pas de propositions d olives ou pâte de sardines ni pain. Les plats sont super copieux. J ai pris la brochette de lotte qui était délicieuse à un prix très raisonnable. Le plat enfant est très bon et copieux.

Llegamos a Tavira sobre Las diez menos cuarto de la noche estuvimos en unos cuantos restaurantes para cenar asombro nuestro que todos los locales decían que tenía cerrada ya la cocina y nos podía atender.Estuvimos media hora de un sitio a otro con dos niños pequeños y cuatro mayores todos los bares cerraban a las Díez de la noche en pleno verano pero en el último que preguntamos aleluya la cocina abierta restaurante mares . Qué bien comimos una cocina tradicional portuguesa muy buena atención y buena calidad precio gracias amigos de marés volveremos estupendo todo.

Sim,recomendo a refeição neste estabelecimento . Os empregados são muito simpáticos. E a comida é muito bem servida.

Super attrape touriste. Prix élevés, pour des plats sans plus (poissons ok). 120 euros pour 5 car ils te font payer 40 euros de pain, minis pâtés de sardine, et 4 tranches de fromage. BREF ça arrive à tout le monde de se faire arnaquer mais si vous pouvez éviter...

Antendimento ridiculo, nem sequer se dignam a falar com os clientes, esbracejam e pronto. A avaliar por outras reviews fiquei satisfeito pela experiência ter terminado por aqui.

Leo las reseñas de otros y me reconozco en todo lo que dicen: el ofrecimiento de la lubina salvaje a 49€, el buen rollo que deja de serlo cuando no aceptas lo que te ofrece... En nuestro caso, además, nos intentaron cobrar unos patés que no habíamos comido. De lo pedido el bacalao a bras mediocre y el filete de atún seco y con textura descongelada. En fin, cometimos el error y lo hemos pagado.

Una absoluta estafa, precios desorbitados, servicio muy mejorable, pedimos una dorada y nos pusieron media (pero la cobraron entera) una botella de agua, 3,50€+IVA. La factura final de terror y encima, en cuanto cobraron nos echaron. Menos mal que el resto de la experiencia en Tavira fue magnífica.

Mau atendimento, comida não muito agradável, especialmente a sopa de marisco. Praticam preços exorbitantes apenas para enganar os coitados que ali vão dar por engano...ou seja, para turistas.

Je mets une étoile car je ne peux pas mettre moins. Le serveur nous alpague sur le trottoir en nous ventant son établissement. Il nous énumère sa carte mais lorsqu'il s'agit de passer commande les plats ne sont pas "disponibles". Bref, les prix sont élevés ce restaurant est un piège à touristes.

El servicio y la comida están bien, pero es el típico restaurante para turistas con los precios muy elevados. Hay otros lugares en Tavira donde comer lo mismo por mucho menos.
