So you want to come to Ericeira and surf. You did some research and are overwhelmed with the options. Yep, I was too. I couldn't have asked to chose a better place after all. I called the guy in this surf school & rental. He told me I can come to Ericeira, because waves were good. But when I actually come he was not willing to rent me a surf. He told me the waves are big and dangerous. But in reality the waves were quite small (1 m - 1,5 m max), so I found another surf school & rental in city center. Basically every one in the Ericeira was ok with me surfing except this guy from Boardculture Surf Center. If he is not willing to rent me a surf, it is ok. But why he told me via phone that waves are good that day and I am welcome to visit his place and then proceed by not letting me rent a surf? Thats a mystery for me. Maybe the guy is just lazy or I dont know.

Great surf school right across from a super surfing beach with fantastic instructors, or at least I can vouch that Bruno was great. He really wanted everyone to get the most out of his lessons and provided lots of feedback every time. The owner is super nice and applied the discount for additional lessons (in line with prices noted on their website) even when these were not decided on at the outset. Super cute and friendly dog, Lua too!

Nous étions intéressés ma compagne et moi pour s'initier au paddle. Nous nous sommes donc rendus à cet endroit pour récupérer quelques informations et éventuellement nous inscrire à la prochaine séance. Même si l'établissement semble sympathique, l'accueil était plutôt froid et distant... La personne qui devait normalement nous donner les informations que nous cherchions s'est simplement contentée de nous présenter un cahier répertoriant les prix des différentes prestations, sans trop dire un mot... Pareil pour la location de vélos, il s'est contenté d'ouvrir le livre à la bonne page et c'est tout. Je déplore donc le service déplorable de cet établissement. Nous avons finalement opté pour une autre école de surf dont l'accueil et le service étaient bien plus agréables.

Greatest experience both for adults and for kids!!! Me and my daughter Mira are really happy to take surfing lessons :) I adored private lessons being a novice in surfing, since a good beginning is half the battle ‍♀️ I Highly recommend for many many reasons!!!

When you read the reviews of Boardculture surf center, you'll notice an inconsistency between people who describe the staff as friendly, and those who describe the staff as cold, distant and unhelpful. Unfortunately I can confirm the latter. I walked in to enquire about their availability for improvers lessons. I received what can only be described as an "attack" from the white bearded man behind the reception. He tiraded me for a few minutes, telling me how he wasn't going to let me endanger everyone by doing improvers lessons without doing a beginners lesson first. I was shocked by how aggressive he was. After my third attempt at actually getting some useful information about their process for getting to the improver lesson, he finally explained I would need to do a beginner's lesson first. When I asked for details he tapped on the board in front of him and stared at me. By this point, there was no chance I was giving this rude man my money. Secondly, our friends spent that day out doing a beginner's lesson. The instructor was disinterested and gave no tips whatsoever. They didn't enjoy it. All in all, a school to be avoided for sure.

Great rental place. Well equiped with surfs and quality O’neill wetsuits. We also participated on one of the surf lessons and it was very valuable. Nice people running the shop. Definitely recommend the place for both rental and surf lessons. We will be back!

It’s my third summer holiday with this school and I would choose it again. First of all for the people. All the members of the team are very special. Not only they are good surfers but also they really want that you improve your skills, monitoring every movement in the water, helping you in any kind of situation you could experience with the surfboard. They really take care of you all the time always with a big smile. See you soon!

We went to Ericeira very spontaneous and had 3 lessons at the surf center! I would love to recommend this place for making a first experience with this amazing sport. Everyone was very kind, honest and caring! Even tough my boyfriend got an injury on his knee, they took it seriously and managed to take care of it without any problems. The lessons were great! We felt safe and confident in the water, catched a lot of great waves and most of all, we had a lot of fun! Thank you so much! We are very sad, that we had to leave so early, but we will definitely come back. Sea you soon

If you want to learn how to surf, if you think you know how to surf but you want to improve your technique, or you really know how to surf and you need a board, this is the RIGHT PLACE! The owner, Renato, is massively expert and competent. He's not only the owner but the quintessence of the place. Very kind and honest, he'll offer you the best service. His Surf School is, most probably, the best you can pick in the whole area. Very well trained and careful instructors that know where to surf and how to help you to learn or improve your technique. For sure, when I go back to Ericeira, I'll go to Renato's, rent my board and have a nice chat with him. Obrigado!

Excellent session with Jorge. Good waves, great advices perfect size of group (6). We got lucky to get in the water a little after the other groups which allowed us to have some time "by ourselves" at the end of the session.

Best surfschool to go in Ericeira!!!!! We had to days lessons with two different surf caoches and both were awesome. Thanks to them surfing became addictive! Such a nice and friendly team! Thank u guys for having sooo much fun!!!

If you need to hire surfboards in Ericeira, this is the place to go. They have a large variety of surfboards and for a decent price. However, the best thing is the willingness of the Renato the owner to assist you in any way he can. Take his advice, he is a genuine man who is more than happy to help a tourist out.

Ericeira is a world class surf spot and this is a world class surf shop. Doesn't look like much from the road, but pull into the tiny lot and I promise you won't be disappointed. The crew that mans the desk can come off hostile, but for good reason. These guys have a killer lineup of rentals for the true traveling surfing--not your everyday Chad that's going to bring it back with heel dings and a missing fin. Be prepared to prove your worth if it's over 1.5m; pictures worked for us...regardless though, this is the spot to be. Thanks fellas for helping me and my buddy out! Sorry for the BMW hahaha
