If you’re pining after a good Indian meal, this the place to go to in Lisbon. The range is wide and the quality very high. Their dahl makani is the best I’ve eaten and they have some excellent specials. This is authentic food. The Nepalese owners and staff are delightful and helpful. I live nearby and have been a grateful fan for years. I should have written this ages ago!

Restaurante Nepalês, simples, pequeno, boa comida...experimente o - chicken jalfrezi (no meu caso, bem apimentado), Prawn masala, Chicken biryani. Boa comida, bom preço. Lamb karai - carril de cordeiro estufado na frigideira, especial na manteiga, gengibre, pimentão verde, coentro e especiarias...e pimenta, médio pra +...uma maravilha!!!

Tolles kleines indisch-nepalesisches Restaurant - wir waren während unseres Aufenthaltes in Lissabon zweimal dort essen und haben eine Vielzahl von Vorspeisen und (vegetarischen) Hauptgerichten probiert, alles war sehr lecker. Unbedingt die Chicken-Momos versuchen!
Medium-spicy ist für den Durchschnitts-Europäer mehr als ausreichend.

Small authentic indian restaurant with high quality food. Amazing yoghurt lassi. The menu offers a good choice also for vegetarians. The waiters are attentive and friendly. Nice interior and atmosphere. Everything was excellent!

Heerlijk Nepalees eten voor een kleine prijs. De gerechten zijn perfect gekruid en zeer smaakvol. Aanraders zijn de Chicken Shaslik en de Garlic Naan. Zeker de moeite waard om op te zoeken als je in Lissabon bent.

Crappiest of the place. Waiter to owner have abs full of attitude. No decorum or ethics. It claims to offer to 10% on takeaways but never gives as it is a gimmick to mint money & attract footfalls. Food is as rubbish as it's service. It's a complete waste of energy, effort & time. Skip this one!

I can safely say this is one of the best Nepalese /Indian restaurants I have ever been to. Lamb saag was absolutely delicious and so was chicken biryani. It also goes without saying prices are very reasonable, which makes this place a perfect location for a family dinner.
One suggestion I would offer is to install AC or keep the door open, especially in the summer.

This is the first time I tried this kind of food and found it extremely good, the restaurant looks nice and clean, about the food, you MUST try the cheese bread, that tasted amazing, we also ordered Tikka Lamb (which sound when its served already amazes you, and it tastes even better!), some chicken (the ones with triangular shape, can't remember the name) and chicken rice. Everything tasted like heaven for us. The people working there are really nice and gentle and will help you with any doubt you have about the dishes, I highly recomend this place if you are looking forward a different and tasty dinner with a very pleasant service.
Very good quality-price ratio and the portions are very generous, you won't be hungry after coming here!

I eat here probably once a week, I can honestly say it is my favorite Nepalese restaurant in Lisbon. The food is wonderful and the staff is extremely nice and professional. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant was such a disappointment. I feel bad for the people of Lisbon if this is what is being passed off as "Indian" food. The raitha had sugar, the mango kulfi was not kulfi,... rather frozen mango pulp. the jeera rice was over seasoned with excess cumin seeds. The dal tudka was a thick tomato mess. Probably one of the worst indian food deliveries I've ever gotten. They have no idea what they are doing.

This place deserves more than 5 stars. The food is fantastic, very fresh and flavoursome. It does take time to serve, but the wait is worth. I highly recommend the Malai Kofta, one of the best I've ever tried. Prices are affordable and staff very friendly. I wish I had taken pictures, but I couldn't stop eating.

Táto reštaurácia je malá ale ma svoje čaro. Jedlo je zamerané na Nepalsky štýl, a dokonca je možné ochutnať aj Nepalske pivo. Personal bol veľmi priateľský a ochotný.

I literally went to Gurkha three days in a row while staying for Web Summit & enjoyed the great food and friendly service of the family run restaurant. Try the Dal, it’s delicious! Also the fresh Garlic Naan with some Mint sauce made my day. I can’t wait to come back.

Wow! BEST Indian food I’ve ever had! So delicious it definitely more delicious than the best Indian restaurant I have back home! Such a pleasant experience, the service was so attentive, our waiter was patience, nice, friendly, and helpful! The food came fast and hot, the environment was pleasant as well. The price was so friendly that we can’t believe it was less than €40 for dinner for 2! So my husband left a nice tip for the guys. I will come back again a and I will recommend this restaurant to all my friends who want to visit Lisbon!

One of the most tasty Indian food I had in Europe. I ordered chicken curry and mix vegetable with plain naans and rice. The taste of both the main dishes was amazing, prepared with good quality ingredients and was very fresh. The naan bread was soft and was cooked nicely. The portion sizes were really good and the price performance to taste and size is absolutely excellent. Special mention of the hostess - the sweet girl who waited on us- she was very polite and had a smile on her face all through while. I generally don’t write review that quickly and mostly after vacation one gets quickly busy but this time my husband ensured that I write one this quickly. I am currently walking back to my hotel and the fact that I write this review this quick says a lot. Well done Gurkha !

Great little Indian place. The staff is very friendly and the food is good. Some dishes are better than others but they all hold their own in the Lisbon Indian food scene. Good value and unassuming. I live next door and regularly swing by for a bite.

A little place with a delicious food and extremely polite and nice staff. I ordered Lamb Karai and was 100 % satistfied. Meat was juicy and sauce exactly as spicy as I wanted. Totally recommend this restaurant!

I can highly recommend this place, the "Lamb Karai" is very good! If you're a torrist its proberly best to order mild or medium spice. 10/10 would eat again. And there is take-away aswell!

This place is amazing. I love Indian/Nepalese food and have eaten it everywhere I go. This place goes straight to the top. The pilau rice was outstanding. That should tell an Indian food lovers that this place is great. The rest of the dishes were delicious. The service was great. It's a cool cosy little spot with a lot of charm. Well worth the walk just up the town. Take the 28 from city centre and you're just 5 mins away. It's incredibly good value too. It's much nicer than my favourite Indian in Ireland which costs nearly 100 for two people, here it's half the price. Loved it.

Expensive and mediocre fare with poor customer service. I placed an order online, which they acknowledged over email, and they never delivered. Stay away from this restaurant.

Wie enjoyed our evening with an excellent service and a perfect meal. The cheese garlic nan was outstanding! My vegetarian Mutter paneer was so tasty! The lamb mango curry was also delicious. I had a Jasmin tea and a white wine. The tea was so good with loose leaves for just 1€. We will come back!

I've been here today and it was one of the best dishes I've ever had in my life! Authentic, delicious, sizes of the food was fab! I can really recommend this place, the two brothers (one in the kitchen & one in the service) are from Nepal and this you really feel (&taste) so if you are looking for the best place to eat in Lissabon here you are right

This is a truly upscale restaurant. I was in Lisbon for a month and desperately craved some food with spice and flavor. I ended up eating here 3 times in one week. The chicken tikka masala is solid and the wait staff really could not be nicer. Definintely check it out.

One of the best nepalese food I have eaten! I asked for little less than medium spicy (30 % spicy as the waiter/owner said ) and it was spot on. I was dining with friends and we all agreed that the food was delicious. Service was really friendly, quick and helpful. Cheese nan was to die for! Plenty to choose from for vegetarian.

After having eaten at Gurkha I would say that the spices of Nepalese food are more refined and thoughful than the Indian ones.
If you want a change from Portuguese food, try Gurkha, you will not regret it, especially the lamb karai!

Best fooding experince in lisbon, never thought would be so best. Over the expectatation, far from home, the authentic indian favoured dishes just made my stay even better. Highly recommended for those keen to try the original indian falours with mouthwatering taste. Feel the india within yourself. Friendly and caring service staff made the place to definately visitable again!!!!

I was here based on the previous reviews and decided to try something new.
I went to the lovely little restaurant and was immediately impressed by
the attentive staff and the good looking and small, and cosy restaurant.
The food: every single dish was incredible. We had both meat and veggy options, all cooked to perfection.
The flavours were so rich and the food felt absolutely fresh, home made and hearty.
I had no idea that a vegetarian dish could be as good as a lamb Gurkha!
Great place, especially for dates or nice nights out especially if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of larger restaurants.
I would recommend to everybody to visit this small and lovely busy restaurant.

I am a frequent visitor to this restaurant and I cannot fault it in any way. The food is the best Asian cuisine I have ever had. if somebody have a confusion about asian dishes then i would like to suggest you all to try Lamb Gurkha, chicken tikka masala with the cheese garlic naan bread or you can choose from plenty of choices. i am sure, you will honestly love it, In addition, The restaurant is with the Great atmosphere, good decor, very efficient and friendly staff. All in all a very good evening or lunch out. Always come out full to the brim! :-)

Less impressive than the Nepalese restaurants I tried in Helsinki. In fact, the service and staffs are very good as in other Nepalese restaurants but the food is not that impressive. The bill is not cheap though and the first nan bread is not free :/
