Wir haben dieses Restaurant durch Zufall entdeckt, wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und den ganzen abend sehr zuvorkommend bedient. Es lohnt sich zu diesem Restaurant abseits des Mainstreams zu gehen. Das Essen war sehr gut, auch die Gin Auswahl kann positiv erwähnt werden. Gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Ein rundum gelungener Abend.

Wir haben das Restaurant per Zufall per TripAdvisor entdeckt und es war einfach fantastisch. Wir hatten die Suppen des Tages, Käse und Chorizo und zwei Hauptgänge. Ich hatte ein perfekt rare gebratenes Ribeye und meine Frau Stockfisch. Das Steak wird mir lange in Erinnerung bleiben, normalerweise mag ich zu Steaks keine Saucen, aber diese war so ein perfekt reduzierter und gebundener Bratensaft, dass ich am Ende alles mit Brot aufgewischt habe. Absolute Empfehlung!!

Made a booking for 7pm which was not relevant to the owner. He opened the door at ten past seven wearing a big smile and waving to those of us waiting in the street. Food was excellent and wine recommendations most appropriate. You have to visit this place.

Excelente comida, normalmente de raíz portuguesa e com uma apresentação e confecção reinventada. Boa garrafeira de vinhos. Excelente serviço e hospitalidade! A voltar!

This restaurant was recommended to my husband and I during our recent stay in Lisbon and was literally just up the road from our hotel.
We really enjoyed the roasted octopus wrapped in a fish fillet for mains and the selection of local chorizo sausage for starters. The service from the staff was outstanding and attentive.
This is a delightful unpretentious restaurant that we would definitely visit again when in Lisbon.

Sehr guter Service, sehr leckeres Essen. Allerdings preislich leicht hoch im Gegensatz zu anderen. Trotzdem würde ich aufgrund der Qualität sofort wieder kommen.

Excellent food and attentive service. Inspired menu offering local favorites with modern touches. Roasted Octopus was perfectly season. Sardine chop and fillet was good with the warm pepper salad. Try to get one of the few seats in front room if not, back is fun too. Would recommend.

Our visit to Restaurante Raizes for the last dinner of our trip to Lisbon was one of the best meals and restaurant experiences we've ever had. From the second we stepped in the door the waiter made us feel welcome and continued to be attentive, friendly and helpful throughout the evening. He recommended wonderful wine and Port to have with our food and made our dinner feel really special. The food was also delicious! Especially the chocolate trio! We really cannot rate this wonderful restaurant any higher and recommend everyone to visit.

Excellent service. Great atmosphere. Perfectly cooked steak. Delicious lobster soup. Not too sweet dessert with a memorable flavor. Delicious wine. All at a reasonable price. Wish I was staying an extra night so I could come back again. Next trip!

Scoperto per caso, una splendida sorpresa. Ottimi accostamenti, personale gentilissimo e molto professionale, ci ha guidato in abbinamenti e scelte. Il locale è piccolo ed cool, abbina le tradizionali azulejos e colori più moderni e mobili vintage. Molto consigliato.

No geral gostei bastante, a comida é "simples" mas bem confeccionada.
O ponto mais negativo para mim, é o excesso de pimentos tanto na massada de tamboril como no arroz de berbigão. Já as costeletas de borrego estavam muito boas. O serviço é bastante atencioso e o espaço é engraçado com os azulejos nalgumas paredes.

I highly recommend Raizes!
I went to dine at Raizes for my girlfriends birthday May 2016. It was a fantastic experience! We are both Portuguese and can tell you this is a wonderful and surprisingly not expensive place, to have truly well made traditional Portuguese food.
The owner who waited our table, was helpful in finding advice and offering suggestions for wines to pair the dishes with and we ended splitting our two dishes between the two so we wouldn't miss out. Both were fantastic, and specially the board of "enchidos", the breaded green beans with chouricos mayonnaise and the cockle rice was to die for!
Fantastic experience highly recommended.
