Before you buy do yourself a favor and check out the shop/museum they provide detailed information about the craft of filligree and documentation on origin, quality, as well as stamping for gold/ silver content. All of there products are made in Portugal by Portuguese craftsmen. Other shops made no such written documentation as to there products.

Right in the city centre, the museum offers a free tour through the origin and development of the famed Portuguese jewellery. The tour guide was very well informed and even demonstrates the construction in detail - an important historical site to preserve knowledge about this beautiful art form.

Νέο μουσείο στην πόλη αφιερωμένο στα παραδοσιακά χρυσά κοσμήματα που παραακευάζονται στην Πορτογαλία. Η έκθεση είναι μικρή, αλλά μπορείτε να ξεναγηθειτε στα αγγλικά και τα γαλλικά και να μάθετε πολύ ενδιαφέρουσες πληροφορίες. Η είσοδος είναι δωρεάν και μπορείτε να αγοράσετε και υπέροχα κοσμήματα.

Trabalho artesanal de ourivesaria em ouro, prata e prata dourada, de cair o queixo. Muito lindo, tendo opção para todos os bolsos. Vale a pena a visita neste museu, e também comprar e valorizar esta arte secular.

Very small, yet special museum, located in a quiet square in Lisbon and not far from the shopping areas. Worth a visit if you’re in the area! You get a free 1 on 1 tour as well.

Truly a unique experience. It is a combination of a museum and store. The tour of the (small) museum is fascinating (and free). The employee who gave me the tour was lovely and very knowledgeable. (Regardless of if you purchase anything). At the end there is a brief demonstration of how the pieces are made, which was amazing. If you do decide to purchase a piece (ranges of prices is wide so you can get a reasonable or elaborate pice) and uniquely have a scan code on your purchase box that shows the artisan making your piece. A very unique little spot in the midst of a common tourist neighborhood.

Very beautiful place to visit. A lot of stock inside.... Azulejos from 15th to 17th to contemporary. Only pitfall, it lacks explanation and there’s no story telling behind each art piece. I recommend to visit it. Costs 5€/person.

Es una visita muy interesante para conocer la historia de la filigrana portuguesa y el significado de sus joyas más tradicionales. El trato del personal es excelente y las joyas son obras de arte. Una forma muy amena de acercarte a la tradición portuguesa. La visita es gratuita y sin compromiso de compra.

The museum is free. The museum is small but shows all of the historical significance and exactly how the jewelry is made. They also have pieces for sale. It is very intricate hand made to this day. Very lovely tour guide.

Uma história tão grande em um local pequeno. A simpatia do João, o rapaz/guia, em explicar sobre a origem da arte do filigrana foi educativa.
A entrada é GRATUITA.
Após as explicações sobre a história do filigrana é possível na loja compra uma jóia feita com essa técnica com valores bastante acessíveis.
