Nice location not too far from the beach. Swimming pools and tennis courts also available. A lot of food selection and also very good. The rooms and bathrooms could do with a little more maintenance, otherwise all good.

Exterior muito bonito. Ambiente de piscinas e verde com bom gosto. Ao contrário do que encontramos nos quartos, para mim o ponto mais negativo, a TV onde só se consegue ver 1 ou 2 canais, espanhol ou alemão, nenhum deles português e na minha opinião deviam também rever os quartos muito antiquados. De resto, staff simpático.

Hotel needs to be renovated. The beds are terrible. In the evening there is nothing to do and you cannot get a drink at the bar because there is no staff to find.

On est loin d'un 4 étoiles... L'équipement de la chambre est plutôt moyen, pas de mini bar, pas de coffre fort en état de marche, rideau de douche plutôt crado, murs abîmés par l'humidité et fissurés, pas de chaînes de télévision réglées, café et jus de fruits infects au petit déjeuner, j'en passe et des meilleures... Le personnel fait ce qu'il peut mais cela ne suffit pas à faire oublier la vétusté des équipements... Je n'y reviendrai pas.

Ich wollte diese Rezension gar nicht schreiben, da ich ungern schlecht bewerte, doch sei kurz einiges gesagt:
Ich habe mich in diesem Hotel, v. A. was die Architektur, den wunderschönen sehr gepflegten Garten und die Atmosphäre betrifft sehr wohlgefühlt - deshalb dieser eine Stern. Natürlich ist es erwartungsgemäß kein 4 Sterne Haus. Doch gab es einige Punkte, die auch bei noch so großem Wohlwollen nicht akzeptabel waren!
Das durchweg sehr junge Personal ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig: mir nach wie vor unerklärlich, sprach man im Service KEIN Englisch! An der Rezeption das uninformierteste Personal, das man sich vorstellen kann; ausdrücklich loben möchte ich hier Senhora D. Costa, die als Einzige hervorragend war.
Es ist sehr schade, dass man unnötigerweise ein Haus und einen Aufenthalt, der sehr positiv sein könnte, durch dumme Fehler und Unterlassungen verdirbt! Der architektonische Schwachsinn die Balkone nicht Richtung Küste und Atlantik sondern allesamt zu den Hotelpools auszurichten, sei nur nebenbei erwähnt! Da es auch männliche Rezeptionisten gibt, wäre es vielleicht nicht zu viel verlangt, wenn sie speziell Alleinreisenden mit dem Gepäck helfen könnten, v. A. da die sehr rauh gepflasterten Wege für Koffer und Trolley schon fast zerstörerisch sind!
Man ist vollkommen desinteressiert und uninformiert welche Gäste wann abreisen - obwohl eine Nachricht übermittelt wird, Hauptsache man hat die Schlüssel zurück - UND ob der Transferbus zum Flughafen überhaupt gekommen ist und auch alle Passagiere, die er sehr wohl auf einer Liste hat, mitgenommen hat! !! Dieses Ärgernis in Kombination mit einem völlig gleichgültigen, faulen und unvorstellbar unfähigen Rezeptionisten hat mich bewogen diese Rezension doch zu schreiben. Dieser große Fehler geht natürlich zu Lasten des Veranstalters und "Side Tours", doch ein korrektes und aufmerksames Hotel hätte Derartiges verhindern können und müssen! Die horrenden Taxikosten nach Faro waren somit von den Gästen zu bezahlen, da sie ansonsten ihren Flieger versäumt hätten! ........
Das Hotel wird zu lustlos und unprofessionell betrieben, nichts was ein gutes Management nicht rasch ändern könnte! Viele weitere Punkte lasse ich unerwähnt, da es hier sonst ein Roman wird.
VORSICHT ist geboten bei Tagestouren mit dem, wieder, Veranstalter Side Tours und "Follow Me"!!!! Derartig unorganisierten, zeitraubenden, dann aber an wunderschönen Zielen ultrakurzen und stressigen Aufenthalt, Irrsinn kann man sich kaum vorstellen! !
Nur 1 Beispiel: Fahrt nach Cabo Sao Vicente (der südwestlichste Punkte Kontinentaleuropas, unglaublich beeindruckend und unvergesslich! !! ) - nun die Aufenthaltsdauer betrug 1/2 Stunde
( 30 Minuten! !!!!!??)!!!!! Etc., etc....

Very clean large room. I was on the ground floor and had a nice patio area. The only gripe is the electric socket was nowhere near a mirror so had issues straightening my hair. So ladies take a mirror.

The grounds are beautiful and the staff are super friendly. That's it. The breakfast is tasteless, dinner was pitiful and there was nothing I could eat except chips, unless a vegetable slop gets your tastebuds going I'd stay away from this 18euro so called buffet. The bar is never open, you have to ask the receptionist to have a drink, they all seem reluctant at this as none of them know how to pour a cocktail or anything slightly exotic. They are not bar trained. The pool bar is also only open a few months per year. There are no vending machines to get water or a snack either. The room was generally clean, apart from.the bin not being empty when we arrived. Also the curtains to the sliding door were worn and not working very well. The sliding door....you need the hulk to open and close it for you, I've nearly broken my wrist every time I open and close it. For a 4star hotel I would expect a lot more, but you get what you pay for and we got a low price. I wouldn't say we hated it, just would expect these things to be addressed for the future. I wont return here based on the food and lack of a bar and entertainment.

Rezeption sehr unfreundlich, leider keine Verständigung in Deutsch. Essen naja. Tuepisch Englisch. Rundfahrten schlecht organisiert. Gebucht mit deutscher Reiseleitung.???? Erst Englisch dann Französisch und dann fuenf! Minuten deutsch

Наверное впервые мне попался столь противоречивый отель . расположение отличное вблизи от океана ,территория ухожена , цена минимальная ,но на этом как оказалось плюсы закончились .в номерах все с 2000 годов ,полотенца- нам в 4 звездочном отеле выдали 3 штуки на двоих и одно из них было с дырками((( на рецепшене сказали об этом - ответ -не может быть )))правда на следующий день одно добавили .первые 2 дня так вообще не убирались в номерах ,пока мы не пожаловались опять на рецепшене.и пока не сменился персонал уборка проходила отвратительно . Завтрак одно и то же все 8 дней )) в принципе насыщенный очень вкусные продукты - сардельки ,бекон ,фрукты - дыня персики ,апельсины ,нарезка различных колбас ,сыры ,очень вкусные круасанчики ,но напитки это просто нечто(((( НЕЛЬЗЯ так разбавлять соки до состояния подкрашенной воды (((( смените поставщика кофе - оно до невозможности невкусное как будто из желудей((((
И платный вай фай ,я думал уже нигде и нет такого ))))

Hôtel 4 étoiles... Pour faire semblant.
Le cadre est beau mais c'est tout. Les bâtiments sont mal entretenus, les lits n'en parlons pas , la nourritures laisse à désirer donc hôtel à fuire si vous cherchez 4 étoiles. En réalité c'est un hôtel 2 étoiles au mieux.!

Suite séjour dans cet hôtel 1 ère semaine d'avril, très mal accueillis arrives à 10h chambre à 13h, ne parle pas français, pas droit au sauna jaccuzy et hammam, chambre vétuste et ménage vite fait... repas vraiment pas top pas de choix pas cuit et cafard dans le resto... poubelles et cendriers extérieurs vides très rarement, directeur très hautains et désagréable. Enfin bref pas 4 étoiles. Heureusement que le temps et la beauté des sites fait oublier l'hôtel.

Die Mitarbeiter retten den Ruf. Wenn es nicht für Allison, Ronaldo, Isabel und dem Rest der Crew wäre, würde das Hotel wahrscheinlich Minus Sterne bekommen. Es ist eine Schande, das ein so gut gelegenes Hotel so verwahrlost wird. Investitionen in Matratzen, Fernsehanlage, Internet (nicht inbegriffen, sondern kostet pro Gerät!) Sowas kenne ich aus den 90ern und mit der Hygiene passt es auch nicht. Schimmel den man riecht in einem Zimmer. Stinkendes Bett im anderen. Lose Fliesen, Föhn der nach einer Minute aus geht, und viele andere Kleinigkeiten die einem beim ersten Blick nicht auffallen. Hier sollte das Management aufhören geizig zu sein sonst ist diese Hotel seinen 4- Sterne Status nicht gerecht!

Anlage war sehr gepflegt. Die Zimmer waren auch sehr ordentlich und sauber! Das Frühstück hatte auch eine gute Auswahl. Preis- Leistung ist super und gerecht!

Waren hier 1 Woche auf Grund eines billigen Angebotes im Urlaub. Der Standort des Hotels ist nah am Strand gelegen. Meerblick ist teilweise möglich. Die Anlage ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, wirkt teilweise etwas lieblos. Die Angestellten (Rezeption) sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten eine Appartement mit Frühstück, deshalb kann ich auch nur über dieses berichten. Das Appartement war komfortabel und sehr geräumig. Teilweise hätte es etwas sauberer sein können. Das Frühstück ist das nötigste und teilweise nach mehreren Tagen etwas fade, Auswahl wird nicht unbedingt groß geschrieben. Die Angestellten wirkten, obwohl es nicht besonders voll war, sehr überfordert. Alles in allem kann man es im Preis Leistungsverhältnis trotzdem weiterempfehlen.

Helaas een beetje boel gedateerd. Een bloemetje op de tafels in de ontbijtzaal zou al veel doen. Personeel niet erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Hygiëne is een beetje ver te zoeken. Geen 4 sterren waardig.

Un buen lugar para pasar unas vacaciones en familia. Muy cerca ( unos 8 minutos ) de la playa da Luz y ubicado en una zona muy tranquila. La cocina es regular, pero el personal que atiende el comedor y el chiringuito de la piscina, dos chicos, son sensacionales, muy atentos y profesionales.

A nicely located Hotel with beautiful gardens and comfortable rooms which appears to be very understaffed . The Evening meals are advertised as a buffet with 2 meat dishes,1 fish, 25 cold salads, 4 accompaniments and 5 deserts. However if less than 15 are booked in for dinner they serve a no choice meal of soup, a main course with salad and sweet The sweets are one of cubed melon, tinned peaches or as last night jelly. We have sent our main course back twice. 1st pink undercooked chicken. Last night the most revolting fish with cold carrots and cold chips. The chef produced shaped chicken nuggets instead. The breakfasts are fine. We have tried to speak to the manager but the poor receptionist tells us he is away. A number of the facilities, Pool Bar, MAIN Bar Jacuzzi, Turkish Bath, massage parlour are unavailable. It is all a great putty as the Hotel could be great but needs attention.

We are currently at the hotel which is clean but very outdated. There is a lot of maintenance that needs doing both in the rooms and the grounds. The receptionist is being as helpful as he can but ineffective. There is no equipment in the kitchens, can't even make a cup of coffee and the breakfast is not free as advertised. The location is perfect, a short stroll away from the beach, restaurants and supermarkets.

hoe het in het hoogseizoen is weet ik niet. maar in januari is het hotel erg stil. locatie is goed! buiten word alles goed onderhouden en ziet er dan ook prachtig uit. hotelkamers zijn redelijk goed, fijn balkon genoeg ruimte om met 2 personen te verblijven. de matrassen vallen erg tegen. vlakbij het strand met een gezellige boulevard waar je lekker kunt genieten van de zon en een hapje en drankje.
personeel in het hotel is vriendelijk. schoonmaak word elke dag gedaan.

Ein etwas älteres Club Hotel mit dem Charme aus den 90er Jahre. Zu dieser Jahreszeit wenig Angebote und sehr stark angehaucht englisches Frühstücksbuffet. Die Zimmer sind groß und verfügen über einen Balkon oder Terrasse. In Luz gibt es ebenfalls sehr wenig Angebote jedoch gibt es eine gute Anbindung nach Largo.

Для 4х звезд слабовато. Завтраки каждый день одинаковые, ужины вообще из кухни просто приносили. В номерах в ноябре было холодно, кондиционер не грел, а делал еще холоднее. Зато территория отеля в отличном состоянии. Бассейн платный. Возвращаться в этот отель я бы не стала однозначно.

O quarto estava muito velho e os colchões faziam um grande buraco no meio, apesar de serem confortáveis. A comida estava ao nível de uma unidade hoteleira de 5 estrelas, apesar de não haver muita variedade. A qualidade e o sabor eram excelentes da comida.

Not all the staff were useless but there was one in particular. We had food at the pool bar one day and the burger was raw. We had the food on a Tuesday and the plates were still on the table on Thursday. The receptionist was very unhelpful, useless being the word. Don't go here if you're younger than 60. The breakfast staff were good to be fair.

Estetika ir švara egzistuoja tik iš toli, tačiau apsigyvenus viskas išlenda į dienos šviesā. Gultai prie baseino nevalyti nuo neatmenamú laikú, paklerę, palūžę, staliukai prie jú užmiršti laiko, su prikepusiomis dulkėmis ir cigarečiú pelenais.
Kambariai erdvūs, tačiau matosi, kad jais rūpinamasi minimaliai, plytelės sutrūkinėjusios, tarpuose įsisenėjęs purvas, vonios užuolaida smirda priplėkusia šlapia pele ar kažkuo panašiai, tad apie malonú dušā galite pamiršti. Pats kambarys minimalus, dvi lovos sustumtos, jas jungia karkasas, kuris sudaro “king size bed” įspūdį, tačiau net ir sustumtos lovos turi tokį tarpá, pro kurį lengvai gali prakristi pusė žmogaus. Žinoma, tv atostogose ne daug imponuoja, tačiau maistas - dar ir kaip.
Jei gyvensite savaite , tai visā savaitę ir valgysite tā patį, kiekvienā dienā meniu yra identiškas, pamatysite, kaip galima vienā pyragā papuošti septyniais skirtingais būdais. Kaip ryte pakepintos dešrelės ir kiaušiniai vakaro lėkštėje atsiduria dubenyje, pavadinimu “salotos”, turesite pasirinkimā iš kiaulienos ir vištienos, kuri bus ruošiama lygiai taip pat kas dienā. Taip pat kava bus stipriai deginto skonio. Nepaisant maisto monotonijos, jei būsite alkani, bus skanu. Taipogi vaisiai čia tikrai skanūs.
Viešbučio vieta patogi, arti vandenynas, tai yra geriausia dalis. Yra visokiú viešbučiú, tačiau nekreipkite dėmesio į jú žvaigždutes, nes 3* viešbutyje galite rasti didesnį pasisekimā nei 5*. Taipogi - nuotraukos ne itin atspindi realybę, kas ištiesú smarkiai klaidina!

Lovely gardens and pool. Room comfortable but basic. Very good location. Breakfast very good. Evening meal poor. Maintenance very much needed to some outside terrace walls etc. Staff helpful and service good. Would come here again but not do HB.

Is an old hotel that probably was 4stars 15 years ago. The room smelled from the sewer of the bathroom and the smell remained in our cloths after leaving. The position near the beach and from the photos convinced us to choose this hotel. But it was a bad decision. The breakfast is the same every day. Everything here can described as decrepit.

Hotel con encanto. Espacio vallado y tiene lofts, con cocina privada y salón, en la parte de abajo y habitaciones normales en plantas superiores. Mayoría son familiares o para 4 personas. Tiene 3 piscinas y bar. Ofrece media pensión. Comida típica portuguesa y a lo mejor ajustada a gustos ingleses o alemanes. La bebida se paga aparte. Tiene bar y espacio para ver fútbol. Habitaciones y baños bastante grandes sólo que la limpieza podría ser mejor. Aunque cambian las toallas cada día, hay rincones en armario o bajo camas que les falta buena fregada. Las habitaciones disponen neveras. Entonces puedes traer tu comida. Hotel cercano a la playa y tiene aparcamiento. Esta bien para familias y grupos de amigos.

Facilities and services way below 4 start hotel (poor breakfast, no kettle / tea in the room, you have to pay to use a safe, though safe box is too small to fit a laptop, Wi-Fi is paid per device per day (!), outdated room and bathroom look). The hotel manager is very rude. We had to call the police so that he allows us to write a complaint into the Complaints Book. Avoid this place!

Empezando porque cuando vienes a Portugal tienes que olvidarte de España.
Mi experiencia no puede ser mejor en este hotel.No hay grandes lujos por ser un 4 estrellas pero hay calidad de vida co respecto a la tranquilidad,educación, respeto...
No me puedo quejar relación precio y temporada,pleno agosto.
Habitación super amplia ,aire acondicionado, baño grande, terraza grande.¡frigorífico pequeño, te cabe de todo...comida,bebida!!
Cómo si fuera aparthotel.
Para mí acostumbrada buenos hoteles de España...muy recomendable!!
Mención especial a piscinas(3) buenísimas y tranquilisimas.

iPad mini stolen from locked room during our stay. Management team not only unhelpful but also suggested that we were making it up. Police report filed with the local police (police was very quick to arrive and helpful throughout the filing). I would strongly recommend not to stay here.

Camere con pareti ammuffite. Vetri sporchi, e bagno da rivedere completamente. Il soffitto non era in cartongesso, ma aveva una griglia giusto x coprire i cavi elettrici. Mobili vecchi. Colazione e cena a buffet, con poca scelta. Unici lati positivi: personale molto disponibile e cordiale, e vicinanza alla spiaggia (circa 5 minuti a piedi).

La struttura è molto bella e immersa nel verde, a pochi passi dalla bella spiaggia di Luz. Stanze e bagno molto ampi ma letti poco comodi. Le piscine sono piccole ma confortevoli con dei bei lettoni pensili molto rilassanti. Da migliorare la pulizia dei terrazzi e la cucina della cena (ripetitiva e banale, spesso immangiabile). Troppo alti i prezzi delle bevande al tavolo (non compresi nella mezza pensione che non costa poco:1 bottiglia di ACQUA 3,20€, 1 caffè sulla piscina 2 €).

Club house CVL and Hotel Luz Bay are actually the same hotel. The problem is on the listing of Club house CVL on TripAdvisor, Booking and Google there is a bad postal address. So with my GPS I ended in the wrong city.
But that’s not all, I actually booked on Booking on the Club House CVL listing and at the reception desk of the hotel they didn’t find my reservation. So we had the chance that they had a spare accommodation, otherwise I don’t know what would have happened.
Appart from that, it is a great hotel but please order only on the Hotel Luz Bay listing.
I’m writing this negative review to make them change their listings!!!

Boa localização um logar calmo a 5 minutos da praia faz se bem a pé, com boa higiene de quartos, simpatia dos funcionários, pequeno almoço e jantar bom.
Com vários espaços verdes 3 piscinas, 1 para crianças pequenas, 1 para crianças maiores e adultos que vai de 110m até 170m e 1 só para adultos .
Diversão noturna boa, com muitos bares restaurantes e pizzarias.

What a beautiful place to enjoy all that southern Portugal has to offer! The calm atmosphere was very welcoming after visiting some of the more festive cities in the area. The staff was very friendly and able to help with anything we needed. The room was large, comfortable and modern with a large balcony. Paid WiFi is available, as well as 3 pools, a Jacuzzi, sauna, tennis courts. The food was also delicious. Close to local beaches and restaurants as well. Excellent for a family vacation or a romantic get away. Enjoy.

Si bien es verdad que las 4 estrellas le sobran en alguna cuestión, por su piscina de adultos con camas balinesas y un buen desayuno así como el acogedor entorno, han hecho que nuestra estancia sea muy agradable para precio de oferta 66€ noche con desayuno ni locos el precio que por habitación suelen pedir en temporada 260€ . La habitación correcta y limpia. Mantenimiento de tapicerías necesita sustitución. Personal muy amable y atento no hablan español pero se esfuerzan en complacer. Repetiría seguro por precio aproximado. Luz es altamente recomendable para pasar unos días tranquilos y en un entorno bueno y de calidad turística.

El hotel en si es bonito habitaciones amplias.
Pero un desastre con el plano para poder llegar hasta la habitación.
Fue entrar por recepción nos dieron una habitación que no estaba señalizada ni siquiera con su número durante más media hora dando vueltas con dos niños pequeños a las 22:00 de la noche.
El termo no funcionaba solo la primera ducha y al día siguiente nos tuvimos que ir sin duchar.
El buffet bien pero las carnes estaban bañadas en aceite.

Estuve con mi pareja en invierno y el hotel nos gusto mucho,. Es cierto que en la habitación uno de los aires no funcionaba el modo calor, pero nos apañamos con el aire de la zona de la entrada. Los exteriores del hotel estaba muy bonitos con sus zonas verdes cuidadas. En cuanto al desayuno tipo buffet estuvo bien, pudimos tomar cafe, tostadas, huevos de toda clase, bacon ... y bizcocho casero que nos encanto. Tengo que decir que al ser invierno pagamos un precio por debajo de la media, nos salio cada noche por 28 € con desayuno, es cierto que si hubiera pagado el doble hubiera sido mucho mas exigente pero por 28 € con desayuno la relación calidad/ precio fue excelente.

I stayed at this place in December, obviously low season. Not many guests, most amenities closed down. Just a place to get a good nights sleep. Breakfast was ok, but boring. Same buffet items every day. Nicely kept gardens. Parking might be a problem in season.

Hotel 4 gwiazdkowy ....Ja daje tylko 3 gwiazdki ponieważ.... Hotel jest fajny, ma klimat jest niedaleko oceanu i plaży ... Personel wspaniały i profesjonalny .. Bardzo czysto w pokojach i pięknie zadbany ogród....ale jak na 4 gwiazdki to kolacje są okropne... Pomimo tego że składniki są świeże i urozmaicone to te potrawy nie mają serca, nie są przyprawione oprócz dużej ilości soli!!!!!!... Mięso,,, to jest profanacja mięsa, rany jak można podawać tak wysuszone i twarde mięso?!!!!.. Proponuję kucharza wysłać do szkoły gotowania albo zatrudnic innego... Sorry ale 4 gwiazdki do czegoś zobowiązują... Byłam w Portugalii a jadłam Pange na kolacje ... Ogólnie bardzo mi się podobało i dla personelu daje 5 gwiazdek.....

Un jolie hotel de l’extérieur, un personnel très accueillant et professionnel, un buffet déjeuner au top mais l’hôtel est resté dans sont temps. Les espace autours de la piscines ne sont pas beaucoup entretenu (toilettes, douche extérieur, spa..) il faudrait rénover ou réparer. les chambre font très vielle, faut plafond indescriptible dans la salle de bain, deux petits lit alors que nous somme un jeune couple.. matelas qui je pense doit avoir 10 ans on sent les ressort es c’est INCONFORTABLE, la cuvette des toilettes fendue. Un manque de petit ambiance sympa au bar comme dans un hôtel 4 étoile. Cette hôtel ne vaut pas du tous 4 étoile !!!

Hôtel très bien situé à 5 minutes à pied de la plage et des restaurants.
Personnel accueillant et souriant.
Jolie extérieur avec ces 3 piscines, les jardins très bien entretenu.
Chambre spacieuse avec un petit frigo, un canapé clic clac à l’entrée, salle de bain de bonne taille, un coin canapé - bureau et une petite terrasse.
La décoration est vieillotte.
Le Spa est fermé.
Le petit déjeuner: un buffet salé et sucré, éviter le jus d’orange et les croissants, sinon le reste est bien.
Point négatif niveau équipements: matelas dur, la climatisation côté lits ne fonctionner pas, coffre fort sans verrous et lavabos bouchée.
Les lits sont fait tous les jours, les poubelles vider tous les jours et les serviettes changer tous les deux jours.
Dans l’ensemble je suis très contente de cet hôtel, j’avais un peu peur au début à la lecture de nombreux commentaires négatifs, mais pour le prix je ne suis pas déçus, j’ai passé une bonne semaine.

Nous avons passer 1 semaine en BB dans cet hôtel qui est très bien situé à 10 minutes de la plage.
L'hôtel est très bien mais il ne mérite pas 4 étoiles.
Quand nous sommes arrivés il y avait une invasion de fourmi car nous étions au rez de chaussé mais le problème a été vite réglé par les femmes de chambre.
L'hôtel est bien entretenu mais un peu vieux. Le petit dej et bien fourni mais la qualité du jus de fruit et du café laisse à désiré mais je crois que c comme ça au Portugal.
Le personnel n'est pas au top pour un 4 étoiles il réponde au question pour sa pas de probleme mais ne cherche pas plus loin, au petits déjeuner pas de bonjours ou même un sourire, domage !
Apres nous n'avons pas payer très cher donc sa vaut le prix payer....

Bon hôtel, chambres avec une petite terrasse mais pas toutes. Trois bassins avec un pool bar, des transats, des hamacs, des banquettes. Petit déjeuner très correct. Le personnel très accueillant. Vous pouvez vous passer du dîner en libre-service à 18€, à 10mn à pieds vous avez des restaurants moins chers et plus sympas. Je recommande.

Unter diesen vielen negativen Bewertungen möchten meine Freundin und ich mal eine äußerst positive hinterlassen. Wir haben uns bei unserem einwöchigen Aufenthalt hier rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer waren sauber und wurden auf Wunsch auch täglich aufgeräumt und gereinigt. Die Betten waren auch super bequem und aus unserem Balkon hatten wir auch eine schöne Aussicht auf die Palmen. Die ganze Anlage besitzt 3 Pools unter den einer ausschließlich nur für Erwachsene ist und es sich hier somit sehr gut entspannen lässt. Das Wasser hat auch eine sehr angenehme Temperatur, die sich super für eine kleine Erfrischung eignet. Das Frühstück war zwar nicht unbedingt ein 4 Sterne Frühstück, war jedoch abgesehen von dem Orangensaft völlig in Ordnung mit einer relativ vielfältigen Auswahl, vor allem was das Brot angeht. Die Arbeiter waren auch immer freundlich und hilfsbereit und konnten uns auch ohne Probleme mit der Scooterfirma in Kontakt bringen, wo wir unseren schönen Scooter für unsere Zeit gemietet haben. Die Lage des Hotels ist dazu auch noch spitze. Nur einige hundert Meter zum Strand und super viele leckere Restaurants in der Gegend. Also wir können einen Urlaub hier nur wärmstens empfehlen und würden auch selber gerne wieder kommen.

Sehr saubere und gepflegte Anlage mit teilweisem Meerblick und guter Strandlage. Das recht junge Personal ist durchweg freundlich, engagiert, hilfsbereit und stets bemüht den Servicevorstellungen der Gäste zu entsprechen. Die Kommunikation in Englischer Sprache war ausreichend. Die Rezeption ist 24/7 besetzt. Check In & Check Out liefen tadellos. Das Zimmer war klimatisiert und erfreute sich an einem vergleichsweise geräumigen Kühlschrankes (keine Minibar).

Nada llegar nos exigieron el pago por anticipado. No funcionaba el aire acondicionado en la habitacion. Muebles viejos y sucios. Colchones de la misma edad que los muebles. Instalações completamente degradadas. Nos quartos tudo precisa de remodelação, desde os colchões ao sofá todo gasto e sujo. E tem classificação de 4 estrelas! Internet nos quartos? Só pagando. O bar do hotel não tem serviço durante o período em que estiver aberto o bar da piscina que tem um preço exorbitante e um serviço mau e com muito pouca coisa. A contrastar com tudo isto está um excelente atendimento na recepção. Super simpáticos e eficientes e são eles que resolvem as falhas que vão surgindo. Para todos eles 5 estrelas.

Un hôtel dont seul les extérieurs pourrait peut-être encore prétendre aux 4 étoiles. Les murs sont abîmés, les matelas vous font bien sentir les ressorts, les rideaux sont lamentables, les coffres forts n'ont plus de serrure, le frigos fait un boucan d'enfer ce qui oblige à l'arrêter la nuit. Sans compter la climatisation dont il est impossible d'avoir les télécommandes.
Pour la restauration nous n'avons testé que les petits déjeuners (Bien suffisant) café pas bon, charcuterie bas de game, croissants rassis ... vous donnent un aperçu.
Rien à redire pour le personnel..tous très agréables et serviable même si très peu parlé français comme dans tous ce secteur.

This Hotel is straight up bad. The fact that everything cost extra ruins the whole experience. You need to pay extra for Wifi in your Room. The Wifi is 10€/Week for one device! The Internet is also so absolutely terrible. You need to pay for drinks at lunch! The Drinks are absolutely overpriced and you can’t even take a glas of water for free. The Food is also very repetitive and there are only few options for Vegetarians. The Staff is really nice though and the Hotel itself has a very good location. The Holidays ended up good but very expensive.

Comida com pouca variedade, má limpeza de quarto, quartos muitissimo degradados ao ponto de faltarem pedaços nas portas dos roupeiros e ombreiras das portas, as janelas não têm Black-out e há muita claridade com o nascer do dia.só há 4 chapéus de sol para as 3 piscinas, bar da piscina muito fraco e quase sempre fechado, hotel sem animacao e garantidamente não corresponde, de todo, a um 4 estrelas. O staff da recepcao é simpático, o do serviço de mesas também muito amorosos apesar de terem alguma dificuldade com a língua portuguesa. Não recomendo

Aparcamiento gratuito, el coche lo tienes que quedar en la calle, televisión en las habitaciones con solo dos canales para ver, a pesar que en la publicidad hablan de canal satélite. Hotel de cuatro estrellas que aquí en España no llegaría ni a dos. Great place, clean and well maintained, lovely garden setting. 5 mins walk to a beautiful beach with nice bars and restaurants.
The hotel food is fine and plentiful buffet style although not always piping hot. Cosy small bar joined to the dining room. All staff very polite and keen to help.
Rooms great...all have their own entrance off the pool area, 3 levels with the 2 upper levels accessed by external stone staircases. All have either balcony or terrace. A superior double has a separate sitting area and spacious bedroom with dressing table, chair and mirror. Hairdryer is fixed in the bathroom. Full sized fridge in room and a Spar 5 mins away to get supplies.
3 pools of different depths, plenty of loungers, no issue getting one anytime as reserving with towels is not permitted. Poolside snack bar, Turkisk bath and sauna also in the grounds as is a tennis academy so you can while away some time watching the practice.
Hotel car parking available just outside the main hotel entrance. All in all has everything you need, very happy with it and would come again.

Very relaxed hotel complex just a short walk to beach,bars and restaurants. It's looking a little outdated it could do with a lick of paint for sure, but clean enough with good sized rooms and balconies. 3 small swimming pools with seasonal pool bar and a spa/wellness centre (7.50 euro p/h!) friendly and helpful reception. Good selection of hot and cold breakfast items serves dinner also. Pleasant gardens and well maintained lawns.

Leider halten sich die schönen Dinge in Grenzen. Großes geräumiges Zimmer, sehr Strandnah, sehr ruhig und Poolanlage okay. Matratzen sind fertig, Frühstückskaffee aus Thermoskanne schmeckt nach löslichem günstigen Kaffee. Frühstück sonst soweit gut. Abendessen jeden Tag das gleiche. 2 Fleischsorten und in der Regel immer die gleichen und 1x Fisch. Und wenn man mehr wie 5 Tage dort ist, wird es echt schwierig. Das ist schon frech und das Fleisch ist auch eher im unteren Preissegment. Vegetarier werden gar nicht berücksichtigt. Der Nachtisch ist auch immer gleich. Stark Zuckerhaltige Cremen und Sahnekuchen. Aus dem Obst vom Frühstück gibt es dann immer einen Obstsalat. Also trotz der vielen Sonne wird es beim Abendessen immer sehr dunkel.

Hotel Luz Bay is a perfect destination for a relaxing holiday. It offers full service with a great breakfast. We didnt opt for the dinner. It has a great pool area and is very close to the beach and other fine restaurants. The only negative thing is that they are one of the last hotels that still charge for wifi and the safe.

Ok I'll begin with the positive....very pretty hotel with lovely landscaping. That's it though. Supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Shocking! Reception staff unwelcoming and unhelpful. No information on the location in your room. No 'do not disturb' sign available meaning my longer lie in was very embarrassingly interrupted. Breakfast was poor! Seriously where do those sausages come from...yuk! So glad I was just b&b. Staff not at all friendly or helpful. Only exception was the cleaners who smiled and bid you good day. Whoever manages this hotel needs to get his or her act together. Very disappointing. Manager please note your staff are not welcoming. Customer service should be at the heart of everything you do. Shape up!

Unser Zimmer war bei der Ankunft Dreckig und die Klima Anlage hatte keine Funktion, noch am gleichen Tag bei 28 Grad im Zimmer, wurde die Klimaanlage überbrückt vom Hausmeister, so daß die Klimaanlage lief, unser Zimmer wurde erst am nächsten Tag gereinigt, sauber war das Zimmer trotzdem nicht.Das Hotel hatte auch ein Erwachsenen Pool, wo sich trotzdem Kinder aufhielten. Die Liegestühle am Pool waren verdreckt und wurden auch nicht vom Personal gereinigt. Der allgemein Zustand des Hotels ist leider eine Katastrophe, viel DRECK und vieles ist auch kaputt.(siehe Bilder)
Diese Anlage wurde 2014 von Holiday Check Ausgezeichnet und hat 4 Sterne.

Hotel muy tranquilo para descansar. Buenas piscinas. No tienen socorrista.
No tienen opción de comer en el comedor....solo desayuno y cena....la limpieza regular...muchas telarañas....pocas personas en el servicio de limpieza. No dan a basto. El chiringuito de la piscina no tiene hielos....y las bebidas y snacks muy caros. La recepcionista del turno de tarde muy pero que muy antipática.
No merce estar en un puesto cara al público.
La playa está cerca y es buena.

Hôtel qui arbore des vestiges de la splendeur passée. Les chambre sont spacieuses, mais les tentures, les murs témoignent d'une certaine vétustés. La piscine est super et le petit déjeuner est copieux, chacun peut y trouver son bonheur.

Küche totale Katastrophe. In keinem Hotel in dem wir waren so ein einfalloses und schlechtes Essen gehabt. Getränke im Restaurant und an der Poolbar zu teuer. Trotzdem,das Personal war nett, freundlich und immer hilfsbereit.

Sehr schlechte und schmutzige Anlage. Habe ich bisher noch nie gehabt. Als Reiseverkehrskauffrau verreise ich viel. Preise an der Bar sehr überteuert. Frühstück war sehr einfach. Spielen 60 Jahre Musik. Wir waren froh, als wir nach 3 Nächten abgereist sind.

Asked for a king bed, high floor suite, and honeymoon package. Got precisely none of these despite it requested on the invoice.
Rooms are out-dated and ours smells like bleach.
Also expect to pay extra for everything - taxi calls, wifi, and a 20euro (!!) deposit for extra towels.

For the price we paid we were happy, a bit dated but ok, breakfast is ok but not great, the coffee is not up to the Portuguese standards, some fresh and some tinned fruits.
Restaurant is not great, used only once and didn't like it.

The hotel was very clean, but a little difficult to find. Although the property was well maintained it did not really seem like a 4 star hotel. However, we visited during the off-season when there were very few guests.

Una mala atención, habitaciones sucias y con bichos ,sabanas sin limpiar y los baños con pelos de todo tipo, tardaron un dia en limpiarnos la habitación , calidad precio malisimo. No lo aconsejo para nada por lo menos por mi experiencia. No vuelvo aunque me lo regalen.

Bardzo spokojne miejsce. Idealne dla osób które chcą odpocząć lub po prostu się wyspać po miastach takich jak Lizbona lub Porto. Hotel z zewnątrz bardzo ładny, baseny czyste i eleganckie, jednak pokoje z poprzedniej epoki. Hotel w 99% zamieszkują niemcy, brytyjczycy i irlandczycy. Śniadania codziennie takie same w formie szweckiego stołu. Brak normalnej kawy do śniadania, tylko inka! Jeśli komuś nie przeszkadza liczne towarzystwo emerytów i brak możliwości poimprezowania ma miejscu wchotelu to będzie zadowolony. Starsze towarzystwo ma swoje plusy, na basenach spokój jakby nikogo przy nich nie było a o 20:00 wszyscy już w pokojach układają się do snu.

A perfect location for a short break, beautiful beach only 5 mins walk with inviting bars/restaurants overlooking the sea and rock pools to investigate. Hotel was very quiet, two good size pools and snacks served at the pool bar. If you want a relaxing break, this location and hotel are perfect.

É um pequeno aldeamento, muito acolhedor, com todas as condições necessárias para passar alguns dias de descanso. Com algumas zonas verdes e uma construção tipicamente algarvia transforma-se num cenário encantador. Tem também uma zona de camas na piscina que eu adorei. Os funcionários foram sempre muito simpáticos e prestaveis.

We booked a double room with breakfast included. We managed to get a suite which was on two floors with a balcony! Really nice! The breakfast is great, as are the pool facilities.

Mit nur 73 Zimmern ist das Hotel übersichtlich, zudem sind die Häuser maximal drei Stockwerke hoch und gruppieren sich um zwei Pool-Bereiche herum. Dazwischen sind gepflegte Gartenanlagen mit Palmen, blühenden Büschen und gepflasterten Wegen zu finden.Die Zimmer sind recht groß, haben alle einen Balkon (im Erdgeschoss eine kleine Terrasse) und ein relativ großes Badezimmer, einen Kühlschrank und zusätzlich auf jedem Balkon einen Wäscheständer, um die nassen Strandklamotten und Handtücher aufzuhängen.Am Pool gibt es reichlich Liegen, wobei die Hälfte schon recht durchgelegen ist und dringend ausgetauscht werden müsste. Die Becken sind sehr sauber, ebenso wie die ganze Anlage. Durch die Unterteilung in Familien- und Erwachsenen-Becken haben auch ruhebedürftigere Gäste die Chance, ohne planschende Kinder eine Erfrischung zu genießen.Der Speiseraum ist groß und hat eine angegliederte Terrasse, die sich zu den Mahlzeiten schnell füllt. Das Buffet ist umfangreich, wenn auch die Speisen besonders morgens auf die englischen Gäste ausgerichtet sind. Doch auch der Mitteleuropäer findet sicher genug Auswahl, um satt zu werden. Die Speisenauswahl am Abend umfasst meist zwei Fleisch- und ein Fischgericht(e), dazu diverse Beilagen, Salat und mehrere Desserts. Besonders zu empfehlen ist der Schokopudding. :-)Das Hotel ist rundum empfehlenswert, wir waren zum zweiten Mal dort und haben und wieder sehr wohlgefühlt.

Geräumige Zimmer in einem angenehmen Hotel mit gutem Service. Die Anlage ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, bietet aber die wichtigsten Annehmlichkeiten und liegt vor allem strandnah und doch abseits der Touristenhochburgen von Albufeira oder Lagos-Stadt.
Das Hotel besteht aus mehreren Gebäuden, die maximal 4 Stockwerke haben. In der Anlage befinden sich zwei Pools, eine Poolbar, ein Internet-Raum und neben dem Empfang der Speiseraum mit Terrasse.
Die Frühstücks- und Abendbuffets im Hotel sind reichhaltig und lecker- und deutlich billiger als das Essengehen im Ort, zumal dort zur Essenszeit alle Lokale unglaublich voll sind.
Wir fahren dieses Jahr zum zweiten Mal nach Luz und freuen uns schon darauf, wieder in diesem Hotel zu wohnen.

Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir leider damit überrascht, dass unsere Zimmer NICHT im Hotel, sondern in einer Ferienwohnungsanlage ca. 500 m entfernt sein sollte. Das Verdanken wir der Buchung über EXPEDIA, wurde uns mitgeteilt. Diese Anlage war schon deutlich sichtbar abgewohnt; alles in allem ok. Nach 6 Tagen konnten wir, Dank unserer (hartnäckigen) Intervention, ins Hotel Luz Bay umziehen. Der Service ist sehr gut, die Mitarbeiter sind aufmerksam und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Anlage ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer sind aber TOPP.

Expedia are appalling. They emailed me the day I flew to say my booking at luz Bay was cancelled. I was then moved to a hotel nearby which was awful. Despite emailing and phoning they did nothing about it all week i was away and I have had only an automated response to my letter of complaint. @expedia then email me asking to rate my holiday. Frankly insulting!

Ich war in den Herbstferien mit meiner Tochter (9 Jahre) im Luz Bay Hotel und uns hat es beiden sehr gut gefallen. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, die Zimmer zweckmäßig, aber sehr sauber, das Frühstück für den Preis sehr angemessen und die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Alles in allem ein gelungener Urlaub!

Die Hotelanlage an sich wirkt recht ansprechend und gepflegt. Allerdings ist die Einrichtung der Zimmer ist sehr spartanisch, Toiletteartikel (z.B. Duschmittel und Shampoo) werden nicht aufgefüllt, Pooltücher sind nicht erhältlich. Grundsätzlich entspricht dieses Hotel unserer Meinung nach keinesfalls einem 4-Sterne-Standard.

Das Hotel liegt unweit der Strandpromenade am östlichen Rand des Ortes Luz. Die Zimmer sind in vier einzelnen, höchstens dreistöckigen Häusern untergebracht, die sich um die Poolanlage gruppieren. Im Haupthaus befinden sich dazu die Rezeption und der Speiseraum. Da die Restaurants des Ortes relativ teuer sind, empfiehlt es sich, die Halbpension mitzubuchen, die vor Ort bezahlt deutlich teurer wird. Das Buffet morgens ist auf britische Gäste ausgerichtet, aber auch für den mitteleuropäischen Geschmack findet sich genügend Auswahl, um satt zu werden.Die Zimmer sind großzügig angelegt, haben einen Balkon und verfügen über einen Kühlschrank, in dem neben der Minibar auch eigene Getränke ausreichend Platz finden. Die Klimaanlage ist leider schlecht regulierbar, kühlt aber in kürzester Zeit das Zimmer auf eine angenehme Temperatur herab.Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und hilfsbereit, der Ablauf der täglichen Zimmerreinigung ist leider etwas undurchsichtig, es scheint keine festen Zeiten, dafür aber eine ausgedehnte Siesta zu geben.In der Anlage gibt es Tennisplätze, die schon lange nicht genutzt zu werden scheinen, auch Jacuzzi und Sauna sind zumindest in den Sommermonaten wenig gefragt, zumal diese Einrichtungen extra kosten.Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht und auf Party verzichten kann / will, ist hier bestens aufgehoben.

Sehr schöne Anlage in Promenadennähe. Waren leider nur auf der Durchreise dort, aber haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Zimmer war OK, nichts aufregendes, aber die Anlage ist sehr schön gestaltet und sehr gut gepflegt. Man kann sich dort entspannen und abschalten. 5 Minuten Fußweg zur Promenade, an der es Abends viel zu sehen und erleben gibt Viel Live-Musik und die Einheimischen tanzen dazu auf der Straße.

El desayuno muy malo,se les olvida que hay personas que prefieren reposteria a lo salado.Si bajabas a ultima hora a desayunar ya no habia croasant ,los zumos eran agua sucia,y nada con chocolate..No es desayuno de un hotel de 4 estrellas y las instalaciones tampoco.Lo mejor la limpieza de la habitacion.

Es ist ein tolles Hotel mit sehr freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal. Nur die Lage in der Hotelbeschreibung ist etwas verwirren, weil das Hotel nicht direkt in Lagos sondern in dem Vorort Luz gelegen ist. Daher ist es sehr ratsam ein Mietwagen zu haben, weil Luz doch sehr sehr ruhig ist und es viel schöner ist den Abend in Lagos zu verbringen.Die Gäste waren überwiegend Paare oder Ältere (50+). Es war daher auch sehr sehr ruhig und entspannt in der Hotelanlage.

Just spent seven wonderful nights in Hotel Luz Bay . Lovely bright clean spacious air conditioned room. Lovely gardens clean pools five minutes from fantastic beach.Food good and plenty of it.Quite resort but lovely bars and restaurants. I will return soon .

nice hotel for what we paid however would not pay the rates they charge for summer months. Asked about the excercise room and sauna and was told where it was. The problem is that it is owned by a private club and as a result was not open. WIFI cost money and is the slowest internet you will ever have (standard for Europe it seems). Breakfast was good and plentiful. Grounds were very nice.

The staff at the front were not very useful. They nickle and dime quite a bit. Really didnt feel like a 4 star. The snack bar staff was great and breakfast wasnt bad.

Emplacement de lhotel: Super sympaAnimations une fois par semaine, deux fois cela serait mieux.Cadre plutôt familliale, mais pas danimations enfants.Le Wifi devrait être intégré gratuitement dans la prestation,Une seule chaise BB dans le restaurant, ce nest pas assez.Au moins 2 chaises de plus seraient nécessairesChambre imppécables, lits BB impéccables.Petit-dejeuner : le jus dorange nen est pas un, le café à la machine bof, pas assez de gateaux pour tout le monde.Peu ou pas de fruits (bananes un peu trop mures)Repas/Buffet du soir à améliorer.Parking ouvert gratuit dehors dans une petite rue.Personnel aimable.

Je ne dirais pas que cest un 4 étoiles, plutôt un 3, mais je ne connais pas bien les critères espagnols. Le bord de la piscine était repoussant de saleté, le pataugeoire toujours sale (sable, feuilles, etc.) Pour le petit-dèj, un conseil, mangez local (British), sinon, cest pas terrible (jus dorange bof, pâtisseries etouffe-chrêtien)

tres bel hotel cadre magnifique et tres calme tres propre.le personnel tres gentil.Seul probleme au petit dejeuner le jus d orange et jus d ananas pas bon du tout.le repas tres bon et meme au bar de la piscine on y mange bien. plage pas loin 150 m de l hotel et a la piscine tres agréables pas trop de monde.

Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es ist relativ neu und gut ausgestattet, das Essen in Buffetform war auch gut und das Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Außerdem ist es sehr ruhig gelegen. Unser Ziel, eine entspannende Woche in ruhiger Umgebung zu verleben, haben wir erreicht.

Nettes, nicht allzu großes Hotel im mediterranen Stil. Das Hotel hat zwar laut Beschreibung 4 Sterne - wir würden allerdings eher gute 3 Sterne vergeben. Für ein 4 Sterne Hotel fehlen doch ein paar Kleinigkeiten wir z. B. Kleenex-Tücher im Bad, ein Föhn im Bad (konnte man zwar an der Rezeption ausleihen, war aber nur so ein handgroßer), Zimmer eher lieblos (zweckmäßig ;)) eingerichtet... Wir hatten nur Ü/F gebucht und können daher nichts über das Essen im Hotel sagen, dass Frühstück war ok, allerdings doch eher auf Engländer ausgerichtet. Kaffe kommt leider aus nicht ganz so guten Automaten - nicht wirklich lecker genau so wie etwas, was ich nicht wirklich als Saft bezeichnen möchte... Schmeckt wie Wasser mit ein bisschen Aroma. In jedem Zimmer befindete sich eine Klimaanlage, die auch als Heizung genutzt werden kann. Beim buchen sollte man darauf achten, kein Zimmer neben den Klimaanlagen zu bekommen, die sind doch sehr laut. Tendenziell sind die Zimmer in den oberen Stockwerken schöner - im EG laufen die anderen Hotelgäste direkt an den Fenstern vorbei. Die Zimmerreinung war ok - aber so das ein oder andere Haar hing schon noch an den Fliesen im Bad und blieb dort auch die ganze Woche an der selben Stelle. Aber ansonsten war alles sauber und die Zimmer wurden täglich gereinigt. Handtücher wurden jeden Tag gewechselt.
