Today we went to Serviço de Finanças de Cadaval and the staff were so so nice. In a friendly manner, the lady helped us understand what and when we need to pay property tax (May, Aug, Nov), alerted us on where we can apply for direct debit and told us that we can also arrange to apply for direct debit for our automobile tax at the same location! José, helped us with the direct debit. He speaks good English and went out of his way to explain the law. We are indeed happy to be in Portugal, a nice country with friendly people who are ever willing to help. Love you, Portugal, for making us feel at home.
