Good food + good price! On our first visit, there were four main dishes for lunch, namely steamed fish, grilled pork, beef or chicken. We tried the grilled in charcoal pork, and steamed fish. They were delicious. On the another occasion, we had Traditional Portuguese Stew (Cozido à Portuguesa), and Cow's Tongue (Língua de Vaca Estufada). The Cow's Tongue, our very first, was yummy! If there is a dish that you want to forego, it would be the soup. Each main dish is under €6. Overall, delicious Portuguese fare with substantive portions and at a good price. Service was quick. The seating arrangements of 6-seater tables is interesting. We are glad to finally found the restaurant as the location on Google Maps is inaccurate. It is about 200 metres from the BP Gas Station (save side of the road). Have offered an edit on the location to Google as this place should not be missed.

Num local de passagem na EN1 ao km54, encontramos, em Espinheira-Alcoentre, este restaurante, modesto, simpático e que mostrou ter um bom acolhimento familiar. Provámos frango assado e cozido, que estava divinal. A casa é antiga mas que serve muito bem o propósito de proporcionar uma refeição rápida e bastante económica.

Excellent truck driver stop for grilled meat lunch. Very inexpensive. The desserts are humongous. €6 will get you a nice lunch. Typical Portuguese food, nothing fancy but delicious.
