Wir kamen von einer Wanderung um den nahegelegenen Fóia-Gipfel und sind auf dem Rückweg ins Hotel in den Kurort Caldas de Monchique abgebogen, der uns im Reiseführer als außergewöhnliches Ausflugsziel empfohlen wurde. Der Ort wurde schon früh von den Römern wegen der warmen Quellen aufgesucht, besteht heute aus nur wenigen, meist schön restaurierten Häusern, Hotels, Thermalquellen und hat mehrere Einkehrmöglichkeiten. Wir entschieden uns für die authentisch wirkende Albergaria do Lageado und waren begeistert, als wir durch den Gastraum in den Innenhof gelangten: eine kleine Oase! Es gibt nur wenige Tische und wir saßen gut beschattet unter einem grünen Dach aus Blauregen, Feigenbaum und anderen Pflanzen, hatten Salat, Sandwich, Kuchen und Gebäck und wurden äußerst zuvorkommend bedient. Alles war sehr frisch, wohlschmeckend und liebevoll angerichtet. Eine weisse Tischdecke und Stoffservietten komplettierten den guten Eindruck. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.
Nur das Foto mit dem Fahrrad gehört zur Albergaria, die anderen sind im Ort entstanden!

Kladný: Milý hotel s příjemnou atmosférou. Dobré místo na výlety. Restaurace přímo v hotelu, možnost večeře.. Záporný: Večeře v restauraci byla spíše slabá. Navíc jsme velmi dlouho čekali. Úzká postel..

On a hike around the area we stopped on a Sunday early afternoon and were surprised they were open. We were welcomed in English and offered tapas, lunch menu or scones and tea. We settled for a salad with some sandwiches and a couple of beers. It was delicious and great value for the price. The lady serving us was a gem - smiling, friendly and courteous! Thanks for the great hospitality - maybe we'll find back one day.

Adorei...... um sítio simples e muito limpo. As pessoas uma simpatia..... o pequeno almoço e a piscina.... uma delicia. Sitio super tranquilo,otimo pra recarregar energias.....

Hôtel d'un autre temps, chambre minuscule, literie en béton,les prises électriques servent à la clim et à la TV. A part une grande piscine dans un beau jardin fleuri je ne vois rien de positif car le restaurant est à éviter, viandes dures ou pleines de nerfs, accompagnements industriels et j'en passe. Le cuisto était peut être en vacances....Bref pour le calme: ok mais pour tout le reste à éviter malgré les tarifs raisonnables.

Positive: Bello il giardino e la piscina ancHe se è un Po scomoda. Dopo le 23 vi è un totale silenzio, posto molto tranquillo vicinissimo alle terme, peccato che siano convenzionati.. Negazione: La struttura necessita di totale ristrutturazione, è su 2 piani senza ascensore, nella camera vi è una sola presa elettrica, nessuna presa in bagno, no phon, l aspiratore della cappa cucina è molto rumoroso e rimane acceso fino alle 22,30 dando un notevole fastidio. I letti e l unico comodino sono murati. Briosce confezionate nella colazione, nessun dolce disponibile, tanto pane. Se arrivi alle 9,30 non trovi quasi più nulla xrche nn rimpinguano ciò che finisce. Non ci sono agevolazioni x le terme..

Een geweldige plek op de wereld. Mooie natuur. Vriendelijke mensen en een prachtige tuin met groot zwembad. wij hadden het appartement gehuurd. Aparte ruimte naast het hotel. Portugeser kan bijna niiet. Heerlijk genoten en met airco.

Superfijn zwembad. Gezellige locatie. Goed ontbijt. Het bed was wat kort, maar dat is natuurlijk vaker in het buitenland. Beetje rommelige kamer, maar ook wel weer leuk met al die oude spulletjes.

Estou a morar há 2 anos em Portugal e este restaurante ofereceu o melhor atendimento. Pequenos detalhes que fazem a diferença, preocupação com a simpatia, apresentação muito boa, comida ótima, preço bom.. Comemos uma salada de camarão e um prato de tamboril tudo muito fresco e saboroso. O atendimento fez toda a diferença

Positive: Very good breakfasts with a wide choice of cold meat cheese 5 types of bread / rolls etc. Location of the hotel is excellent, away from the bustle around the spar, but very close to the wooded park and springs. On a cul de sac and so no road noise. Evening meals excellent - local dishes and puddings, and obliging waitress staff.. Negative: Whilst the bedroom was very clean, the mattresses were much too hard with no give, so I awoke with back pain several times in the night until I used folded towels to fill the natural cavity above the buttocks and a pillow under the knees. If the mattresses were replaced with with modern comfortable ones I would certainly book again, but if not would look for a more comfortable sleep elsewhere. Such a pity!.

Stumbled upon this gem when I was looking for somewhere to have coffee after a long lunch with family. We walked through to a little courtyard surrounded by a beautiful tranquil garden and the homemade desserts and coffees were amazing. This is definitely somewhere to come back to now I have found it.

Negativo: Quarto muito velho com a tinta do teto da casa de banho a cair, as tomadas de electicidade penduradas e perigosas, empregadas de limpeza a tentarem abrir a porta do quarto ainda comigo e com a minha mulher na cama a falarem muito alto, péssima insonorizacao dos quartos!! Preços altissimo para ter 4 estrelas quando nem 2 deveria ter!!!.

Positiva: El personal y la tranquilidad de la zona son sin duda lo mejor de este alojamiento. Se encuentra en un pequeño pueblo termal situado en medio de la montaña, muy tranquilo y acogedor. El alojamiento tiene unos exteriores preciosos, con piscina y terrazas tipo chill out donde poder relajarte rodeada de naturaleza. Si volviera al Algarve sin duda me alojaría otra vez aquí.. Negativa: Necesitas de transporte privado para moverte por la zona ya que las playas más cercanas quedan a 30 minutos en coche..

Positive: Piccolo albergo con ristorante. Il ristorante molto buono, e parecchio frequentato. Bella la piscina nel giardino. WiFi funzionante, buona prima colazione. Letti comodi. Nel complesso una buona esperienza.. Negazione: La camera dava sul giardino del ristorante, quindi è stato necessario tenere la finestra chiusa con l’aria condizionata fino a dopo mezzanotte. Bagno un po’ datato. Poche prese per ricaricare i telefoni ecc..

Äußerst leckeres Restaurant. Wir haben uns für den Reis mit Seeteufel entschieden. Das Gericht war ein geschmackliches Erlebnis. Hätte ich eine portugiesische Großmutter, würde ich mir wünschen, dass sie so kocht!
Auf der Karte sehr viele lokale Spezialitäten. Der Service war freundlich und immer mit einem Lächeln.
Ein besonderes Extra ist der kleine, vollkommen mit Wein und Glysinien bewachsene Garten.

The environment is cozy and the staff is very helpful, although I can speak the language (Portuguese) I noticed a lot of people from everywhere and most of the staff were able to communicate in a pretty good English.
The eating area has an inside and an outside area, the outside area was my favorite for dinners it has lots of plants around and a small grape vine on top. The food itself is amazing, I definitely recommend the Lageado Steak!
The pool area is quite nice for a sunbath as well as for swimming.
The hotel is located 30-40min driving from the main beaches on the Algarve area, totally worth staying.

Stopped for lunch, great service by friendly staff. Very accommodating - lovely food with quality ingredients. My other half said... best toasty he’s ever eaten! . Beautiful outdoor courtyard to eat in with a relaxing atmosphere.

Pozytywna: śniadania były dobre ale mało urozmaicone, co ważne gdy się spędza w tym samym miejscu kilka dni; pokoje były fajne, czyste, z własną łazienką, na miejscu restauracja, hotel ma własny basen- rewelacyjny, z leżakami do opalania. Negatywna: zbyt dobra akustyka; ponieważ mieliśmy pokój przy schodach to późnym wieczorem mogliśmy spokojnie wysłuchiwać gorących dyskusji z parteru, szczególnie jeżeli odbywały się blisko recepcji.

Sehr freundliches Management. Wir sind auch mit unserem Hund (Boxer) willkommen, obwohl seine Erscheinung erst mal überraschte, man hatte mit einem kleineren Hund gerechnet. Das Zimmer ist zu dritt sehr klein, aber die große Terrasse schafft Entspannung bei derzeit gutem Wetter.

Had an excellent Sunday lunch at this lovely restaurant. Delicious food and friendly people. 3 course meal, soft drink and coffee for 2 for under 20 euros each. Would highly recommend it.

Não é nada de extraordinário, mas pelo preço (50€ quarto para 2 pessoas em julho), com pequeno almoço incluído e piscina. Não sei que mais se pode pedir pelo preço que se paga. Voltarei muito provavelmente no futuro.

Prezzo secondo me troppo elevato per camere degli anni 70 80.

L'hôtel est dur à trouver et les lieux ne sont pas tous propre. On nous avait dit qu'il y aurait de l'air climatisée dans notre chambre et la seule chose qu'on a eu c'est du chauffage et un ventilateur. Le déjeuner est de base.
Par contre, je recommande le restaurant de l'hôtel car les assiettes sont bien remplie et que c'est très bon.

Je recommande vivement ce restaurant où on mange de la morue délicieuse, et où les assiettes sont vraiment très bien remplies, le personnel est très accueillant et l'endroit est vraiment charmant, et pour une addition vraiment très très raisonnable, une très bonne table à faire sans hésiter !!
