Local super acolhedor, com uma receção excepcional. Preco/qualidade excelente!

Adorei a casa e o jardim. Os donos são muito acolhedores. Junto à floresta e com a possibilidade de fazer percursos pedestres maravilhosos! Recomendo.

Dos melhores sitios onde me hospedei. Casal frias é um local onde podem relaxar e estarem em contacto com a Natureza. As duas casas que completam este espaço sao super acolhedoras num estilo rústico e confortável. O sr. Vitor, dono da propriedade é das melhores pessoas que ja conheci. Simpatia, amabilidade e hospitalidade caraterizam-no bem. Todos os dias é deixado o pão na saca para o pequeno almoço. O frigorífico está recheado com o essencial que dá para o pequeno almoço e lanche. Não posso deixar de falar do espaço envolvente que é maravilhoso no qual podem visitar a serra do anjo da guarda. Foram dois dias fantásticos e relaxantes. Amei!

What should I say. Our stay at Casal Frias was probably one of the best accomodations we ever had. It's a calm place in Barreira, which is a small village in the middle between Porto and Lisbon but it has SO MUCH to offer. Let me start with the beautiful house: it was renovated after being in not a good shape according to the host, but it was done with so much love! You can feel that the host Vitor thought about everything, probably the same way how we would've decorated our own house! The whole house is made of stone, which makes this location ideal for a cozy and romantic time, with up to 3 couples or maybe a large family! We had 2 fire places, 3 bed- and bathrooms, a large kitchen with a couch and dining table, a whole living room and the garden! Oh my god the garden! You have so many possibilities to sit outside in the sun or under old olive trees, whenever you don't want to swim in the clean and large pool with a lot of sun chairs, waiting for you to take a nap! Vitor himself is probably the most lovely and most caring host ever possible - he brings you bread and rolls in the morning whenever you want and we could even stay longer than the normal checkout time, as no one came into the house after us this day. Some nice restaurants and a super market are only 10 min away and Vitor did give us a lot of information on these things, as well as some pieces of advice on sightseeing. I would definitely stay again at this heaven-like place, maybe with some friends or so, as the whole property's maximum capacity is around 8-10 people, when you combine both small and large house. Chapeau! GERMAN Wie kann ich meinen Aufenthalt in Casal Frias am Besten zusammenfassen? Es hat einfach von vorne bis hinten alles gestimmt und wahrscheinlich war es sogar die beste Ferienwohnung, die wir jemals hatten! Barreira (aufpassen mit dem Navi, gibt ganz viele!) liegt zwischen Porto und Lissabon sehr ruhig gelegen in Wäldern und Hügeln, jedoch nicht allzu weit weg von der A13. Es ist super ruhig, auch wenn Restaurants, Tankstellen und Supermarkt nur eine kurze Autofahrt entfernt sind. Die Ferienunterkunft, genauer gesagt das größere Haus von beiden bietet im Inneren Natursteinmauern, diverse Kamine, eine große Küche, 1 Wohnzimmer sowie 3 Schlaf- und Badezimmer (eine Couch kann zum Bett ausgezogen werden, hat dennoch eigenes Bad). Schon beim ersten Blickkontakt merkt man, dass Vitor als Gastgeber das Haus so eingerichtet hat, als würde er selbst darin leben. So viel Liebe, so viel Kreativität findet man nicht oft in einer Urlaubsunterkunft! Doch bei der Unterkunft hört es nicht auf, der Garten ist mindestens genauso schön! Klar, dieser saubere und große Swimmingpool ist natürlich der Eyecatcher, aber noch schöner sind eigentlich die vielen Sitzgelegenheiten, wo man draußen mit Freunden unter Olivenbäumen gemeinsam das frisch zubereitete Essen vom Grill nehmen kann. Ansonsten gibt es auch Sonnenliegen am Pool, es ist wirklich an alles gedacht. Und diese Einstellung findet man bei Vitor die ganze Zeit: nach nur kurzer Zeit fühlt man sich so, als ob man sich schon Jahre kennen würde und er tut alles für das Wohlbefinden seiner Gäste und steht bei Problemen mit Rat und Tat beiseite. Desweiteren kann er gute Tipps geben für Essen und Ausflugsprogramm. Fazit: Ich würde jederzeit wieder Casal Frias buchen, es ist eine wunderschöne Unterkunft - gut geeignet für Paare, Familien oder größere Gruppen bis zu 10 Personen.
