Lanterna Velha is a great restaurant in the heart of Carvoeiro.
It has a great staff who will welcome you to a table.
You will have a good choice of food from a light bite to a blockbuster !!
The dining rooms are spacious and well equipped ..
We eat there most weeks an have always enjoyed the food..
Cony Rob and Farina will give you a great time.
We may see you there. Saude .....

Gemütliches Lokal, freundliches Personal. Der Hühberspiess in Erdnusssosse echt Spitze. Preis Leistung stimmt. Wir gehen sehr gerne dort hin.

We were eating here few days ago and it was incredible pleasure to do so. Food here is so fresh, delicious, tasty and portions are very big - you must go there and try - I am sure you wont regret it. Curry chicken and chicken with peanut sauce were extremely good. On the other hand place has it's own climate and hello to Fernando - this waiter is fantastic; hope we can be served by him again one day. This place is perfect for some gooooood food:) My full recommendation!

Muy bueno,, muy bonito y de los mejores decorados de la zona. Gran terraza. Comida,,, el arroz,,,, para dos pero pueden comer 6 o 7. No entiendo las críticas a este sitio.

Great portuguese restaurant in Carvoeiro. Nice staff and quality food. For those who prefer quality over quantity. Yet reasonably priced.

First time I visited the Service and food were great. The second time we waited about 30 mins for a drink to be served. Another 15 mins just for the couvert and when the main food arrived it was disgusting. Shame they cannot be consistent.

Some great food and good service. The prawns with garlic and piri piri were especially wonderful. Definitely worth trying when visiting Carvoeiro especially if you fancy some more sophisticated cooking.

Ontzettend vriendelijk personeel. Het eten is prima, maar niet bijzonder. Had er meer van verwacht. Maar door de goede service, wel tevreden weg gegaan. Zou er alleen niet nog een keer gaan eten.

The staff was very friendly, the price is very nice but diner was just ok and nothing more. The Portuguese steak I ordered was not what I expected. No vegetables or salade with it and just a piece of meat with a bunch of potatoes around it.

Mooi restaurant qua looks. Erg klantvriendelijk.
Eten was oké niet speciaal maar gewoon prima.
Top: ambiance, ziet er erg mooi uit qua looks.
Tip: nieuwe messen voor de biefstuk.

Buen restaurante de comida típica portuguesa, situado en la localidad de Carvoeiro. A destacar la selección de pescados y mariscos frescos.
Excelente variedad de vinos y bebidas locales.
Personal atento y amable.
El servicio es bastante lento, aunque es lo normal en casi todo Portugal.

Si se busca esperar más de 50 minutos entre los entrantes y los platos principales, este es el lugar idóneo.
Pedimos que nos sacasen los principales terminando los entrantes y nos dijeron directamente que No, hasta que acabasemos los entrantes.
La persona que nos atendió lo hizo con muy malos modales desde el principio, y cuando pedimos hablar con él responsable, parece que le dio igual lo que le dijimos.
Ellos decían que era normal esperar tanto tiempo, que tienen una carta muy amplia y muchas mesas (la carta no es muy extensa y es cierto, demasiadas mesas para tan poca cocina y personal)
Todo esto para comer platos normales, nada a destacar, y a precios nada justificados.
Por su puesto no volveremos

Our first night in Carvoeiro definitely not disappointed, our meals (The Swordfish and Portuguese style steak were very good. Kids had Spaggetti Bolognese and no complaints. nice house red

Aardig personeel maar slechtste eten in 15 jaar vakanties carvoeiro. We dachten we proberen eens wat anders dan waar we altijd gaan eten. Nou dat was eens maar nooit weer. Wortel en boontjes waren uit blik!!!!(of pot) ipv vers. Entrecote was taai! Geen aanrader dus.

Dit prachtige restaurant heeft alles wat je maar wensen kan. Goed eten een fijne bediening en een mooie en gezellige accommodatie. Wij komen hier al vanaf 1997. De Hollandse eigenaar maakt ook nog tijd om je als vaste gasten persoonlijk te komen begroeten. Top!

Kom je in Carvoeiro met een stel vrienden in het restaurant 'Lanterna Velha' Rob uit Limmen, de eigenaar van dit restaurant tegen met zijn mooie verhalen.
Tafel perfect, bediening super, heerlijk gegeten, leuk gesprek met Rob gevoerd. Kortom een aanrader als je in Carvoeiro in een mooie ambiance wil eten.

Un sitio bonito, pero tardaron en servirnos una hora.. Pedimos queso empanado, pollo piri piri y arroz de marisco. El arroz bueno, estilo portugués, pero el pollo estaba muy seco y el queso no decía mucho. Por muy buena que esté la comida, la espera es demasiado larga. Las mesas de al lado también esperaron una hora a que les sirvieran (una pareja hora y media). Doy un 3 por el arroz, pero ya es mucha nota.

Si tienes suerte, te sirven enseguida. Si no, te toca esperar una hora. El pollo seco. El arroz si que estaba bastante bueno. Le pongo un 3 y no un 2 por eso último.

Es un lugar con luz baja, bastante acogedor. El servicio muy bueno y atento. Rapidez con la atención y los platos. Raciones abundantes y gran sabor. Calidad precio muy buena. Adjunto ticket para dos personas. Destacar el pez espada a la parrilla, fresco, jugoso y a la altura de un gallego que opta por el pescado fuera de la tierra. Muy recomendable. Volveríamos

Gorgeous food with great chice of menu and lovely relaxed atmosphere. Staff were very attentive and friendly. My starter was a little late and the waitress brought me a free glass of wine. We ate there twice.

Ficamos desapontados, optamos por uma cataplana de peixe, numa zona à beira mar notava-se que era confeccionada com peixe congelado, e outro que tinha estado demasiado tempo a marinar em vinho e alho.

Zeer lekker eten. Erg leuk concept door vlees en visgerechten aan te bieden op een 'hot stone'. De bediening was minder briljant, niet snel en niet erg behulpzaam. Wel een erg gezellige avond gehad op het mooie buitenterras.

Les spécialités maison sont excellentes
La cataplana et l'espadon d'Algavre sont succulents.
Le tout avec un service très agréable et une addition très correct.

Un buen sitio donde tener un cenan tranquila, el personal amable y simpatico, la carta muy completa y precios razonables de 9€ a 16€ el plato más caro, el muse de chocolate muy bueno a la cataplana le faltaba un poco de sal
