Booked through tots to travel, and the price was great. You really do need a car here BUT it’s so worth it the staff are really nice and helpful plus friendly. The apartments themselves are really big and the toys everything onsite were a great idea.

Lovely rural setting. Ideal for us (retired couple) for peace and quiet. The villa was very large and still looked very new. Every piece of kitchen equipment you could want. Having chatted to others staying in the villas and some of the staff. there seemed to be a special deal for visitors with children which included breakfast. Their villas were equipped with lots of toys and inflatables and toys for the pool. They were also set in a lower level of the residences nearer the pool. We were up on the highest level and had great views of the area and you could see the sea in the distance.On arrival the staff (all very young) were very helpful and knowedgeable and seemed to have been trained well in how to deal with peiople. Plenty of sun loungers away from the childrens play area.Nearest restaurant (O Cacto) in Odiaxere is a 40 minute walk but well worth undertaking. You can see nesting stalks along the roadside as you pass.All in all a very relaing holiday

Beautiful place to stay..! Our villa was on 2 floors, had 2 bedrooms, both with ensuite facilities, full kitchen and large living/dining room - all were very spacious! The Residences are 7km from Lagos and 12 km from Portimao, so you probably need a car - we did, so no problem! I read a review that said the satnav didnt get you there. This is rubbish - put in Vale Da Ribiera residences (leave out Macdonalds) and the directions are perfect...! The pool and kids play area are lovely and peaceful and views from the Residences are beautiful! I’ve read a review on here that is very critical of this place - these people must be very hard to please! This is quality - it only opened mid-May - and everything is in pristine condition!! Great value for money and super accommodation!

Lovely quiet location with a stunning pool. Villa was really well equipped with everything you need for a family holiday. Car essential as nothing in walking distance but only a short drive to Lagos or Portimao and a range of amazing beaches.

We enjoyed a lovely week in our very spacious three bed apartment. The staff are very helpful and the swimming pool although not overly large wasn't ever too busy. The food served at the pool bar was very good. It's not been open that long so they have a few things left to iron out, like a welcome pack and local info left in the apartments but all in all, very good.

Amazing Spacious villa set over two floors with a modern clean fill, fully fitted kitchen with everything you could need, set in a beautiful quiet location, only thing missing would be a main restaurant, car need if your venturing out and about.

Houses were comfortable thought some essential household items were lacking. Cleaning was only done once in a one week period and didn't seem very professional (some towels changed and others not). Pool was pretty bad in my opinion. Very shallow and looked quite dirty. If a good pool is important I'd recommend trying something else.

La villa fantástica..muy grande y con todas las comodidades. Decorada elegantemente y con unas vistas espectaculares a disfrutar plenamente desde la terraza. Localizada en un sitio muy tranquilo y a menos de 10 minutos de numerosas playas y del centro de Lagos. Y sin olvidar el trato amabilísimo del personal .Totalmente recomendable.

GPS will not get you there! We had to ask locals for help, which was very hard since we do not speak Portuguese! If you do not have a car, do not book here! Its in the middle of nowhere!! The pool is very small for the number of villas on the property, and it gets crazy packed by early morning by the same guests with their hundred screaming kids. Our villa was clean and nice, but surprisingly we did have issues. The coffee machine that we had did not work. We had to microwave water and purchase instant coffee. The shower heads are designed to be handheld or mounted like a regular shower head. The pic I provided is similar to what our villa had. However, the one in the master bathroom did not face downwards. The spray would only face upwards! So we had the option of holding it while we showered or having it spray the ceiling! It was the most annoying and inconvenient thing ever!! We stayed at the Amendoeira Golf Resort - Apartments and Villas prior to arriving to Macdonald Vale da Ribeira Residences, and my family agreed that Amendoeira was WAY nicer and less expensive. I will say that the staff was very welcoming and helpful, and the villa was very clean, spacious, and quite pretty. But if youre wanting more than just a place to sleep and watch TV, then I recommend finding somewhere else to stay at!

Fantastic place to stay. Everything is brand new and excellent quality. Staff were lovely. Would def recommend.we had 2 young children with us who loved it too.

Brand new villas with fully equipped kitchens. Beautiful surroundings away from it all. Nature sounds all around and not many guests around the pool area made our stay really relaxing. Excellent balcony from the living area upstairs providing espectacular views of the valley . Great grassed garden area outside both main bedrooms below. Enormous beds. The pool area was quiet and we enjoyed the infinity pool.Definitely need a car to explore the area as there is nothing close by apart from the small pleasant shop in the resort. Very clean and comfortable with good WiFi and air conditioning in every room. Staff courteous and willing to help you have a wonderful stay. Couldn’t fault it. We had dinner in a local restaurant down the valley very popular with locals and reasonably priced called O Caseiro with outside dining area.

This resort was outstanding! The amenities, its proximity to all the sites we wanted to visit, I would definitely recommend this location to anyone travelling with family and or children as a getaway or as a calm base to visit other nearby locations. The team was extremely helpful. Loved it.

Had a lovely stay in this modern apartment everything we needed. We checked out but then unfortunately we had car problems down the road, the hotel manager and staff went above and beyond to help us with our problem. And allowed us to use the pool all day until we got sorted. We then couldnt get a taxi so the manger took my husband in her own car to get our vehicle.. Excellent customer service.. would definitely recommend this place.

Clean and very peaceful resort. 2 bedroom superior house was very comfortable. Highly recommended as accommodation for exploring the nice beaches on the Algarve coast. A car is necessary during the stay, as the resort is not close to the beches or any town.

Fabulous location, very peaceful most of the time. The area around the swimming pool was not managed though, lots of empty plastic bottles, discarded pool toys and inflatables. We tidied the area up twice ourselves. No supervision of young men dive bombing and playing football, smoking shisha etc. Shower head bracket in bedroom 2 of villa 53 not fixed despite numerous requests. We will come back though, maybe a bit later in the season next year.

Los apartamentos son excelentes, dos plantas muy luminosos y nuevos, al menos el mio daba a un jardin privado, un 10 en este aspecto. La limpieza cuando entramos, nos dijeron que no estaba lista, y nos la hicieron en 10 minutos, y como era evidente no se hizo correctamente. La piscina no me gusto mucho, poco profunda y para mi gusto pequeña. El sitio esta alejado de playas y ciudad, tiene la ventaja de que es muy relajante y el inconveniente que hay q usar coche para todo. Una anecdota fue que cortaron el cesped muy temprano cuando estan descansando los huespedes, mucho ruido el cortacesped que pasa a un metro de tu cama.

Perfect place with a fantastic view to have sports holidays! Or for running, cycling or by motorbike,cause you are already IN the nature.No need to pass main streets full of traffic.Great tours from that resort to the barragam da bravura (dam) where we had a lovely walk by foot and later with the mountainbike all around it, than over the little hills of Monchique, another tour to the westcoast... The resort is really clean, in the kitchen of the house is everything we needed to prepare our meals, but as well there are some really good restaurants close to it and as well a little snack bar at the pool of the resort and the staff was always helpful and very friendly...definitely worth it

If they open less one mouth ago, how they have comments from 1 and 2 years ago? Google please solve this issue, people are receiving wrong information and feed-back from wrong place...

Vale da Ribeira irá brevemente abrir ao público. Local preenchido por verde, de um sossego inigualável. Neste conjunto de Moradias totalmente equipadas com todo o conforto necessário, é possível ter umas férias sem stress. O silêncio é envolvente convida a um passeio pelo campo. Onde reside alguma vida selvagem em harmonia... ainda é possível por aqui ver sem dificuldade uma lebre ou Coelho correr pelo campo. Local ideal para famílias.

Die Anlage ist super! Das Apartments ist ordentlich, sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet.

Un peu cher mais c'est vraiment du standing ! Piscine très propre ! Résidence très calme et très agréable. À 10mn de Lagos et à 15 mn de Portimão en voiture.
