A cute place with a laid back atmosphere and a lot of character – it’s a small surfer’s paradise in the heart of the city. I stumbled across it on a warm October day. I chose matcha and avocado toast, but all other options looked amazing too. Toast was excellent and matcha was a delight. Staff was super kind and friendly. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Lagos! Highly recommend this chill spot ❤

Though I cannot appreciate the great coffee here because I do not usually drink it, it is the best place to start your day in Lagos whether you are going surfing and need energy from delicious acai bowls or just to have a great start of the day with amazing avocado toast. It was not my first time in Lagos, and I am visiting this place every time!

I'm I gourmet when it comes to coffee and this is a perfect place for me! They no how to make coffee and they are convincing ecological, they actually use organic coffee for the sold coffees!

Great space and service. I ordered a refreshing iced tea and avocado toast but the avocado was not yet ripened. It shouldn’t have been served - it was dense and watery like raw zucchini.

Absolutely delicious coffee stop in Lagos. We came back here a few times to get our fix and to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere while catching up on work and the real world. The service is relaxed and lovely and the AVOCADO SMASH is the perfect fuel for a day of exploring the algarve. I highly reccomend giving it a go :) We LOVED it!

We were staying in Lagos for a week and needed a good breakfast spot. Coffee and waves had us excited to wake up in the morning! Between their iced coffees, smoothies and the most beautiful avocado toast, this place is something truly special. The owners, Ana and Bob, are truly awesome people and run their business with pride and care. They are happy to help always, and made us feel totally welcome. This place is a must if you are ever in Lagos! I cannot wait to bring all my friends and family here ❤️

We had a small breakfast here before exploring the coast and beaches. The cafe is not that big but we were early, so we got seats for ourselves. The loaded avocado toast was so good, recommended! And the lattes too.

Wer Lust hat auf richtigen Kaffee, Espresso oder Cappuccino wird hier auf seine Kosten kommen und es gibt auch Hafer- und Maldelmilch. Der Barista zaubert wundervolle Kunstwerke. Preislich für Portugal eher oben angesiedelt aber mit all dem Herzblut, der Freundlichkeit und Bio Zutaten finde ich das absolut gerechtfertigt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We discovered this wonderful coffee shop during our yoga retreat. It had plenty of tables and was nicely decorated. My cappuccino was delicious and beautiful. Barista did an awesome job. Everyone was friendly and their pastries and other food looked good. It's also a surf shop in addition to coffee shop.

Very good specialty coffee, the only serious one in Lagos, as it actually opens at the correct opening hours. The surfer ambiance and yoga moms taking selfies with avocado toast might be a bit too much at times, but the coffee, smoothies and toasts are very good, and the service is friendly but professional. Gets busy early on, places are limited - come early or reserve.

Nette vibes im surfer Café. Das Essen und der Kaffee waren auch ganz gut. Für das Geld vielen die Speisen allerdings recht klein aus und auch wenn die Bedingungen freundlich waren, warden wir kurz vergessen. Es gibt daher noch ein bisschen Verbesserungspotentiale

Probably the only place in Lagos where you can get perfect third wave coffee if you are tired of having espressos. I was impressed that the cafe had metal straws as I've never seen it anywhere else! The staff was super friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely come back if I'm visiting Lagos again.

Coffee and Waves is an amazing little café in the old town serving the best coffee you can find in Lagos. I come to Lagos quite often and always stop by Coffee and Waves for my caffeine fix. From flat whites to iced lattes to cold brew - the coffee is always delicious. They also have some great toasts, acai bowls, smoothies, overnight oats, energy balls and my personal favorite - the vegan banana bread! I really like that they care a lot abot where their food and coffee comes from and you'll find a lot of tasty healthy surprises on the menu that you can add to your bowls and smoothies. Also the staff are super friendly and always looking to stay on top of new developments in the specialty coffee scene! The design of the place is gorgeous, it has a lovely chilled and happy surf vibe. My favorite part about it is that they display the beautiful surfboards by locally based shaper Sam @Bobsboards. They are true eyecandy even for the non-surfer and can be bought or ordered right there in the café as the shaping room is just downstairs! I'm also a huge fan of the local art on the shop walls, and I especially recommend checking out Sarahs @saloha_art areal beach watercolor originals - they are stunning! So all in all, Coffee and Waves is a not to be missed spot for everybody who is looking for the true Lagos experience! Thanks guys, keep up the great work :D

Overcrowded and hot little cafe. Save yourself some stress and sweat and avoid this heat box. The food is very mediocre but the coffee is delicious.

Da ist wirklich freundlich und modern. Sehr nette Besitzerinn hat alles über den Laden und eigene Inspiration erzählt, hat uns sehr begeistert. Meine Iced Latte hatte auch ausgezeichnete Qualität. Meine Frau hat handgemachtes Eis bestellt und das war echt geil, top, würde ich sagen. Dankeschön und viel Erfolg eurem Unternehmen, guys!

The employees here are incredibly kind and work so hard to make customers happy. I stopped by twice when I was in Lagos. Both times it was very busy. The coffee and smoothies is great as is the food. The food menu is small but has good options. They are also very environmentally friendly which is a huge bonus!

Can confirm this place is amazing. Food is great, coffee is better... vibes? On point. These guys have stepped it up a notch and are catering for the vegan crowd. Thank you for the oat milk lattes! On the slight downside? The food isn't substantial for the amount you're paying. An expensive snack? Yes. A meal? Not so much.

Alleen koffie besteld. Duurde bijna een half uur..... Edit (for the owner): We ordered a cappuccino and a double espresso. We came in 9 o'clock. I don't know who where helping me. But I think it's normal to expect when you order a coffee for just two persons, we have it in 10 minutes. I've been to a lot of restaurants and coffee bars, seriously all of them serve in 10 minutes. I think if they warned is that it would take 30 minutes to serve coffee it's okay, but now I've a bad customer experience because of the long waiting.

Cool little place. Service can be a bit slow - there are lots of staff but only one till so you can find yourself queuing to order. Perhaps a member of staff could take orders on an iPad or just write them down in busy periods and relay this to the kitchen area. Food is a bit on the expensive side - especially for Portugal - but is really good (especially the acai, granola and fruit bowl). Nice espressos. Really nice atmosphere.

So happy to finally have a proper iced coffee in Portugal :) The staff was busy, but friendly and still took their time to plate a beautiful toast. Smoothies were great too.

Sind aufgrund der Bewertungen hierher gekommen -haben einen Aloha Smoothie, Flat White & Home Lemonade getrunken und einen oat Cookie gegessen. Die Location ist vom Grund weg überbewertet. Es ist ein überteuerter Szene-Treff der örtlichen & touristischen Surfer Szene. Der Kaffe ist geschmacklich in etwa bei Melitta Filterkaffee anzusiedeln, der Smoothie war zwar frisch (glaube ich) schmeckte aber wie aus der Packung. Die Limonade war optisch schön angerichtet mit einigen (4) frischen Früchten jedoch völlig mit süßem Sirup überladen. Auch der Cookie hielt bei weitem nicht was er optisch versprach. Er schmeckte im Nachgang nach altem, ranzigem Fett. Zu allem Überfluss waren die Getränke und auch die kleinen Snacks absolut überteuert. Das Personal: überfordert, überheblich, unfreundlich. Den zweiten Stern (wie eigentlich auch der erste) vergeben wir einzig und alleine wegen der Aufmachung sowie die Einrichtung der Location. Denn dieses, das müssen wir gestehen, war wirklich einladend. Aber ganz ehrlich, Da gibt es in Lagos weiß Gott bessere Locations welche im Umkreis von 200m leicht zu finden sind.

Travelled through Portugal from Algarve to Porto for 3 weeks. The best coffee we had on our entire trip was at Coffee & Waves.

This is not a brunch place. Coffee is okay. Limited menu options such as Acai bowls and open toasts. Very limited seating. Good for a quick coffee. Far more interesting places in the neighborhood such as Goji if you are looking for a nice relaxing brunch.

Wir sind absolute Espresso-Liebhaber und haben auch zu Hause eine schöne Maschine mit der wir regelmäßig Cappuccini zaubern. Mit großer Sicherheit können wir behaupten, dass es hier mit Abstand den besten Barista und den besten Cappuccino weit und breit gibt.
