Unlike a lot of soulless, impersonal accommodation on offer, ‘Casa da Mamã‘ has character. Its genuine retro look and nostalgic charm really make you feel you are visiting the cosy Portuguese home of a much-loved relative. Its location is ideal for those who wish to stay and relax in a quieter area, whilst also having the chance of exploring the Porto region and beyond, conveniently only a short drive away. We had a lot of fun discovering authentic Gondomar whilst staying there, and this includes our tasty meal at nearby tavern ‘Adega Azul.’ I will definitely come back with my family as/when needed, and will recommend ‘Casa da Mamã’ to friends and family. Positive: Me and my family really enjoyed staying at casa da mama. The owners are very friendly people and always prepared to give us assistance whenever was needed. For some some reason it is called casa da mama,as the translation for that it mama's house. The location it is on a very quiet area and close the oporto montains,also near a bus stop that can take you to city centre in 20 mins.If you travel by car you also have very good and easy access to city centre and lovely beaches. We really reccommend this property!.
