Trying to get my refund and there is no way for those people do it.. Just be careful when booking any holidays there!

As a result of COVID -19, our flights to Portugal was cancelled. We paid the full amount of 231.12 Euro's. Portugal, as in many other countries are in lock-down and Sao Rafael are not open for business. They are keeping the full amount as a credit and giving us one year to to visit them, even though we requested that they credit the full amount back. With the experts predicting that it will take 12 month to 18 months before a vaccine is developed, at the very least, they should have offered a two year period to use my own money. This is equivalent to stealing money. The owners of this place should be arrested.

Das GuestHouse ist sehr gemütlich und sauber. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Wir hatten leider nur ein kleines Zimmer (preiswerte Kategorie) gebucht, ohne Kleiderschrank. Beim nochmaligen Besuch würden wir ein wenig mehr ausgeben und superior mieten. Für 14 Tage war uns das Zimmer etwas klein. Aber gut, unser Fehler. Ansonsten haben wir uns wohl gefühlt. Das GuestHouse liegt gut, der Strand ist nicht weit entfernt.

Un hôtel magique! De la gentillesse du personnel aux services proposés tout y était parfait ! Nous avons opter pour une villa avec piscine privée et ce fut un pur moment de bonheur. Les espaces sont très bien entretenus ainsi que le ménage intérieur. Les chambres sont spacieuses. La vue depuis la terrasse nous a offert un magnifique coucher de soleil. Nous avons pu profiter de notre piscine de jour et de nuit. Le petit déjeune compris dans notre forfait était très complet et délicieux !

Very good communication before arrival. Helpful and friendly staff, very nice villas and surrounding areas. Safe underground private parking. Kitchenette equipped with everything you need. Villas are serviced daily, beach towels and toiletries supplied. S. Rafael Beach is just downhill as you can see from the attached photos.A very enjoyable break, thank you :)

Well kept and a very clean property. We stayed in a one bed apartment which was basic but clean. The kitchen was well equipped but they could have at least provided with basic quick beverage options and salt/pepper. That was a disappointing factor for me. The place itself is a bit remote so you are better off if you are driving around. There are two beaches within walking distance and Sao Rafael would be my recommendation. Breakfast is limited so you have to book in advance and will cost €10 per person. And it's pretty basic but will fill you up. No dedicated parking but you have a few off street parking and likely that you will get one near your apartment. Feels safe overall and secure overall.

This property was a spectacular choice. The receptionists were very helpful with any enquiries that were asked and delivered them in a fantastic way. The choice of the room was wonderful this property gives a feel that you are at home. The view that São Rafael properties gives is outstanding. I would definitely without a doubt recommend it and would and will be back very soon for another holiday at São Rafael.

It was great to have a full sized kitchen and they even had a juicer. We made freshly squeezed ok everyday.

Bom a casa não tinha utensílios e la muito bom estado mas os colchões era muito confortáveis e o espaço era acolhedor.

Super place if you need a quick sun injection with your family. Many private rooms and showers. Parking space of your car under your own apartment. Direct access to the unspoiled land with a 7min walk to the (rocky) beach. Kids loved it.

Tolles und sauberes Zimmer, die Lage ist traumhaft und das Personal war sehr nett. Am letzten Tag haben wir sogar ein Lunchpaket bekommen, da wir gegen 7 schon abreisen mussten. Kommen jederzeit gerne wieder!

La habitaciones muy completas y limpias al igual que el hotel en si, pero la comida muy excasa y repetitiva poco variedad, el todo incluido casi no habia solo dejaban algunas cosas que habian sobrado del desayuno o el almuerzo. Poca animacion y el lugar donde se daban las actuaciones por la noche muy pequeño casi nunca habia un sitio para sentarte.

Situation and views very good the only setback was size of balcony only catered for 2 adults not 4 and seating in lounge area too basic and uncomfortable kitchen facilities were good upstairs all round brilliant. Staff were lovely will probably book in guest house next year. Loved Portugal and people.

This is one of the best hotel apartments I ever been. The cleaning is absolutely outstanding and the receptionist so service minded. We wanted to change a room due to my allergies. She was very understanding and helpful. We decided to come back to the same hotel after few days in Sagres. The receptionist again very welcoming, top service as the first time.The hotel is located near few amazing beaches - walk distance. Highly recommend this place.

We stayed here (mid October), the weather was good, we hired a villa it was very spacious, lots of toiletries, 2 good showers and plenty of towels. We didnt expect three bedrooms, but that was a bonus. Kitchen was equip with all essentials. One massive plus point were the staff, they were all lovely people, and very helpful. Anything we asked for they did their best to help and accommodate us, in my opinion they went above and beyond what you would expect, they are a real credit to the business. The area felt safe and clean, not far from beautiful beaches, and plenty of good places to eat. City Bar does a good breakfast, theres a pizza place at the top of the road, we dined one evening at Dom Dinis a restaurant, about a 20 minute walk away it was a really good meal and reasonably priced too. I didnt want to leave, I will be back!

Das schönste Hotel in dem wir je waren. Wir hatten eine eigene Villa mit eigenem Pool nur für uns. Es war traumhaft. Diese Villa nennt sich "Studio mit Meerblick" nur Dieses beinhaltet den eigenen Pool. Es ist nur Selbstverpflegung möglich da Küche vorhanden und komplett mit Allem ausgestattet ist. Man könnte aber optional noch Frühstück dazubuchen gegen Aufpreis. Die Studios verfügen über eine Tiefgarage die nur den Anwohnern der Villen zugänglich ist und nur mit der Karte zu öffnen ist. Die Anlage ist durch ein elektronisches Tor gesichert. In der Nebensaison ist es deutlich günstiger als in den Sommerferien.

Caro e nada justifica especialmente o atendimento da recepção e a casa tinha os sofás e cadeiras todos rossados e alguns mesmo rotos.

Der Aufenthalt im VidaMar Villas Guesthouse war einfach super. Schon bei Ankunft an der Rezeption wurde man sehr herzlich und willkommen empfangen. Der Gast wird hier noch aufs Zimmer begleitet, mit allen nötigen Infos z.B für die beiden Strände in der Nähe. Das Bad war sehr groß, die Dusche und auch die Amaturen waren wie in einem 5-Sterne-Hotel. Die Dusche war eine normale Dusche, kombiniert mit einer Regendusche. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, hell und modern. Das Bett war sehr angenehm und breit, Platz genug für 2 Personen. Auch das Frühstück, welches zwar erst um 8.30 Uhr begann, war Quantitativ sehr gut, die Süßspeisen waren nicht ganz so zufriedenstellend. Trotzdem ist der Besuch im Guesthouse nur zu empfehlen.

Das Appartment war geräumig und sauber, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Enttäuschend war einzig das total heruntergekommene Sofa; die Reception meinte, es sei diese Saison so gebraucht worden und werde erst im Winter ersetzt. Es wurde auf unseren Antrag hin mit einem Tuch abgedeckt. Wir waren etwas neben dem Guesthouse und den Villas in einer Überbauung einquartiert. Dort kann man den Pool mit Bar nutzen und den Strand São Raphael kann man in wenigen Gehminuten erreichen. Vom Guesthouse erhält man zudem Zugang zum 5Sterne Hotel Vidamar (15 Autominuten entfernt) und kann auch dort an den Pool und Strand gehen.

Du côté des points positifs : l’appartement était plutôt spacieux et la cuisine bien équipée et fonctionnelle. Il y avait une terrasse et un grand jardin. De plus nous avions accès à la très belle piscine d’un autre hôtel du même groupe situé à 10 minutes de voiture. Points négatifs: les serviettes sentaient très mauvais et ils ne les changent pas, le canapé était délabré avec plein de miettes. Nous etions à cours de gel douche et ils n’en redonnaient pas tous les jours. L’appartement est mal éclairé et pas très décoré.

Wir haben die Villa für den Pfingsturlaub gebucht- schon im Januar, dann kam Corona und die Reisewarnung, womit wir die Reise leider nicht antreten konnten. Vom Veranstalter keine Kulanz! Wir müssen 20% bezahlen, Corona und die Reisewarnung des auswertigen Amtes spielen keine Rolle. Finde ich nicht sehr Kundenfreundlich. Klar ist für uns, wenn wir die Reise dann nachholen können, werden wir São Rafael Villas definitiv nicht buchen.

Great place to spend your holidays. We had a wonderful Premium Villa with private pool. It was a really beautiful house and we enjoyed every second of our stay. The staff was also really kind and the cleaning service was really comfortable. We will definitely come back.Thank you for everything.

We had a great Digital Nomad stay with our group! Enough space in these luxury villa’s. Great rooms and very nice balcony views! Loved the swimming pool, this is located at the reception where also breakfast is. The beach is just a 5 minute walk. Recommended!

Our best vacations in years! Lost of space, comfortable beds, great amenities. Only minor complaint is that the internet is very slow. So dont plan to do Netflix. However, there were several English TV options for movies and other shows.

Amazing place, luxorious and super clean. Was a great experience. Multiple outlets everywhere, good showers, good additions like creams and stuff, great luxury, great stove and stuff, I loved it, was here on business, it was a great clean experience.

Clean spacious apartment with own little swimming pool. Very private. Beautiful views and within walking distance of lovely small beach.

Wij zaten in de Guesthouse zelf, kamer 511 (boven). Mooie kamer, uitzicht op zee, heerlijke douche, groot bed en alles netjes onderhouden. Enige 'jammer' is dat er geen balkon is waar je lekker kunt zitten. Ontbijt prima, veel uitzoek en allemaal vers. Zwembad is klein, maar toen wij er waren werd er geen gebruik van gemaakt (te koud). In de buurt is niet heel veel te beleven, huurauto is dan ook wel makkelijk.

Tolle Lage, sehr freundliches Personal und ein richtig tolles Frühstück.

This was our second visit, we stayed in a 2 bed apartment it was spacious and had everything you needed. Plenty of toiletries, clean towels and a pack for washing up dishes. The house keeper attends every day to empty bins and do a general tidy up. We found the large bed firm and the smaller beds softer. Sadly my coat disappeared whilst we were staying there which made for a cold and soggy journey home, I have to say the Guesthouse staff and wider team were very helpful trying to locate it, it may well turn up at some point. On the whole another great stay, lots of friendly people and some great places to eat around the area. There is a sparkly new Italian restaurant within ten minutes walk, you can watch the chefs work, and further on Dom Dinis classic Portuguese restuarant never disappoints.

Cadre magnifique, propre, à quelques mètres de la plage, l'endroit est calme et sûr. 2 restaurants à côté de la villa, tout était réuni pour des vacances réussies!

Accueil super par le jeune homme. Mais la chambre bien trop chère pour le manque de finitions, peintures, murs etc et très mal isolé nous avons entendu le voisin toutes les nuits passées. Après l’emplacement est top car vous avez une super belle plage à 5 min à pied.

Wir waren in einer der Deluxe Duplex Villas (ohne Privat Pool). Gemäß der Internetseite ein modernes großzügiges Ambiente. Gross ist es auch, wir haben als Familie zu dritt eigentlich nur die Hälfte der Villa in Beschlag genommen. Leider macht alles einen sehr abgewohnten Eindruck (Flecken auf Sofas, Sesseln und Teppich) mit einigen lieblosen Ausbesserungen (Wasserschaden unterhalb der Klimaanlage). Das betrifft nicht nur die Villa, sondern auch den Pool Bereich. Die Liegen und Sonnenschirme waren eingerissen und weder repariert noch ersetzt. Anhand des Zustandes dürfte dies auch nicht erst innerhalb der Saison passiert sein. Dafür war der Bereich über mehrere Tage mit Kronkorken, leeren Bierdosen und Zigarettenkippen zugemüllt. Die Lautstärke der Nachbarn war teilweise so schlimm das wir nachts (04:30 Uhr) die Notnummer der nicht besetzten Rezeption anrufen mussten und diese dann die Polizei verständigt hat. Eins der grössten Mankos ist die Hellhörigkeit. Wir waren in der Nebensaison da und es waren nicht alle Villen belegt. Trotzdem hat man die Gespräche sowie auch besonders das Stühlerücken (ein Königreich für Filzgleiter) von den Villen nebenan bzw. auch der Nachbars- Nachbarn noch gehört. Dies war sogar noch in der Tiefgarage zu hören, in der jede Villa einen eigenen Stellplatz mit Direktzugang hat (das ist super). Durch den grosse, fast leeren Wohnbereich verglichen mit der Grösse hallt es gewaltig. Sollte man wie wir für ein paar Tage Pech haben in der Nachbarvilla eine Partyfraktion zu haben, ist es bis in die Nacht nicht wirklich leise. Für Familien mit kleinen Kindern können wir die Unterkunft definitiv nicht empfehlen. Die Reinigung ist auch so eine Sache. Laut der Unterlagen soll die Villa jeden Tag gereinigt werden. Bei uns beschränkte es sich auch bei explizitem Hinweis auf gewünschte Reinigung (Schild an der Tür) darauf, dass wir neue Handtücher bekommen haben, die Mülleimer geleert wurden und die Betten gemacht wurden. In den 9 Tagen vor Ort wurde der Boden entweder nicht gewischt/gesaugt, oder das ganze extrem schlecht. Die Ansammlung an Haaren im Bad bestätigte dies. Da auch kein Staubsauger in der Villa ist, kann man das auch nicht mal eben selbst erledigen - wenn man tagsüber am Strand ist und überall Sand hat, wäre das besser. Beim Frühstück war der Eindruck, dass es sich neben dem frischen Obst eher um Fertigware handelte und nicht mal der Teig für Pancakes selber gemacht wurde. Der Raum für das Frühstück ist recht klein gehalten, mit gerade einmal sechs Tischen. In der Hauptsaison könnte es hier eng werden. Als Kaffe gab es nur Filterkaffee, andere Optionen wie ein Cappuccino gab es nicht. Hier wäre ein Vollautomat aus der Gastronomie angebracht, bei dem sich jeder selbst bedient. Es gab Cornflakes, Toast, süsse Stückchen, dazu frisches Obst, schlabbrigen Speck (der vor Fett nur triefte), frisch gepressten Orangensaft plus verschiedene Marmeladen und andere Auftstriche. Vom Preisleistungsverhältnis an der Grenze des Anbietbaren für das Geld.

Hat gehalten was es versprochen hat. Alles war sauber und das Haus war bestens ausgestattet. Gab keine Beanstandungen von unserer Seite.

We have spent a very enjoyable week here.the Apartment was perfect for our needs with a lovely balcony and plenty of space for our party of 5. The pool area is also really good and safe for children.

The villas are very comfy, fully equipped, each house offers an ocean view from the master bedroom. Very nice balcony (also with an ocean view). Breakfast is very well arranged with good selection. Staff is very kind and very attentive. Highly recommend for a relaxing time near the ocean.

Excellent front desk ladies and customer service overall! We were late from our flight at 1130pm and Manuela emailed to check on us and waited after hours! Property was clean as I’m picky and overall all amenities were great! Kitchen was fully equipped with all utensils etcPool could be bigger and nicer., but that’s in the images when selecting! Villa was huge more than enough space.

We stayed in the guesthouses. We found them to be clean and well looked after by staff. The rooms were basic but had what you needed. The location was slightly isolated but was within walking distance of an amazing beach (Sao Rafael). There are very few amenities aside from that. Taxi yo Albufeira old town costs c. €10 from the villas. Staff within the villas were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was quite basic but was fine.

Grosse, geräumige superiir Duplex Villa.Schimmel im Bad, quietschende Türen, lose Tügriffe und Steckdosen.Äusserst laut!! Durch die Reihenhaus Bauweise hört man beidseitig die Nachbarn!Jedes Duschen,jedes Stühle rücken etc.Da die Schlafzimmer zudem in Richtung Zugangsweg gehen, hört man Nachts sämtliche Leute, die lautstark zu ihren Häusern gehen/torkeln.Tagsüber hört man Sie dann zum Pool gehen....Für Familien wie uns, absolut nicht zu empfehlen.Lage und Frühstück waren jedoch super.

Das Hotel entspricht allen Wünschen. Tolles Zimmer mit riesigem Bad. Das Team war super nett und sehr bemüht. Zum Strand sind es 10 Minuten per Fuß. Das Frühstück war der hammer, super viel Auswahl und alles frisch und selbst gemacht.

Excellent apartments, we loved our stay & hopefully will visit again. Things we loved: 1. Great location, walking distance from the Sao Rafael beach. 2. Sea view from the apartment balcony while having morning tea & breakfast was prime. 3. Excellent customer service from the hospitality team and room cleaning service. In fact they were very helpful right from the start in guiding us to reach the resort because the navigator on the hired car took us to another one of their properties. Very calm and patient team. 4. The big surprise was when they delivered a birthday cake & a bottle of prosecco when we hadn't even told them. So, someone must have observed that on the passport while checking in & planned it. 5. Very good parking place next to the apartment which made it very convenient to enter & exit the apartment while using the car. Things that can be improved: 1. Given its a self catering apartment and the kitchen is well equipped, I would have expected some basics like salt, pepper, sugar, tea bags/coffee etc to be provided. At least that's been our experience with similar apartments elsewhere in UK & Europe. 2. The WiFi was reliable and good on ground floor but on the first floor it was patchy and poor.

We got a studio unit at VidaMar right next to São Rafael beach (less than 10 min walk). The room is spacious with great amenities, a fully equipped kitchenette, a parking garage, and a private pool in the back yard. Staff were friendly and price was reasonable for what you get.

Great location...the apartment is very spacious and it 10 minutes walkable to the beach. Staffs are super nice and polite. The apartment is 15 drive from the center of Abulfreira.

No complaints at all. Room was beautiful. Views around the hotel were incredible and the staff were extremely helpful in helping us organising a few activities and days out. Memorable holiday.

Hemos estado de maravilla. Las villas son un lujazo, muy bien decoradas, salón amplísimo y sofas cómodos, una terraza estupenda para tomarse unas copas por la noche tumbados en el sofa-cama de diseño...Todo muy nuevo, parking privado y también público pegado a las villas, y una de las calas más bonitas del algarve a tan sólo 2 minutos en coche, está muy cerca pero no hemos ido andando, supongo que unos 5 o 10 minutos como mucho.
