Vivo em Sesimbra e fui a trabalho a Vidigueira , e como amante da comida portuguesa, gosto de ir a procura de novos lugares e como tudo na vida uns dias acertamos outros não, mas felizmente neste fia acertei em cheio , que lugar maravilhoso, que comida fantástica , que vinho fabuloso , parabéns.

They call it a museum but it's a living museum where they still produce their own wine. In Cella Vinaria Antiqua you can learn how 'Talha' wine is produced and best of all you can try it in the end or have it with a nice meal (with traditional food from Alentejo) in 'Pais das Uvas' restaurant just next door. Mr. Honrado will take good care of you.

É fantástico! Recomendo a todos a visita às caves já para não falar do maravilhoso vinho. É algo para repetir futuramente!

I heard about this place some months ago and I wasn't sure about what to expect. Now I can say you can't skip visiting this unique place and travel to the past! I loved the food and the staff there was great!

Lugar único onde as pessoas podem encontrar um enoturismo rico de tradição, cultura e história .O espaço apresenta uma vasta coleção de objetos utilizados no processo de elaboração do vinho de talha, o qual está candidatado a Património Cultural Imaterial da Humanidade pela UNESCO.

Having done a wine tasting a few years back I would highly recommend visiting their museum and just take in the whole atmosphere of the place. Just to hear their passionate story and effort put into reviving this ancient tradition was more than worth the money , but adding a wine tasting alongside some local produce ( including grapes ) was an experience to remember forever . Highly recommend and unlike us do visit their restaurant next door as the place is amazing and food looked great ! Will need to return and do it all again next year now :)

Note the times advertised are not correct. Closes at 12.30. The villa is impressive, and must have dominated the area in its day. No mosaics but has the baths. Nice video in an air conditioned room was a nice treat. No popcorn though.
