Kaum in Worte zu fassen. Sind hier wegen der Google Bewertungen gelandet und hatten die schlechteste Erfahrung von unserem gesamten Portugal Roadtrip. Man sitzt wundervoll unter Bambus, darf dort aber auch eine Stunde auf seinen Lunch warten neben drei anderen Gästen. Hatten als Starter einen Ziegenkäse aus dem Ofen,der nach 40 Minuten bei uns ankam. Kein Gewürz, kein gar nichts. Nichtmal Brot. Kostenfaktor SIEBEN Euro. Nach 60 Minuten erreichte uns dann ein Beef Burger und ein Veggie Burger. Lieblos mit KALTEN super öligen Kartoffelchips (das war echt das allerletzte). Pro Burger wurden 11 Euro aufgerufen. Wir tranken ein Bier und einen Saft. Endpreis 36 Euro. Unglaublich, am Tag zuvor assen wir tolle gegrillte Sardinen mit Beilagen ohne Ende im Ort davor mit zwei Bier für 25 Euro inklusive üppigen Trinkgeld.
Auf meine freundliche Beschwerde zuckte man nur mit der Schulter und sagte mir "Sorry I am alone", trotz vier Köchen, einer Barkeeperin und eben dem Kellner und insgesamt drei Paaren als Gast inklusive uns.
Meidet diesen Laden und fahrt etwas weiter in den nächsten Ort zu Gullis Bistrot. Da gibt es tolle Pizza zu einem fairen Preis.
Absolut überteuert, unfreundlich und unterirdische Qualität.

Good Service, Fresh Fish and very good grilled veggies, the dogs are allowed, didn't liked "the Secretos de Porco Preto" but my dog helped me xD, AWESOME DESSERTS! We'll come back again for sure!

Platos abundantes y muy buena presentación. Al ir sola solo probé el couscous, buenísimo. El sitio está en un paraje casi idílico cerca de la playa. Servicio rápido. Camareros muy agradables. Decoración playera con posibilidad de reposar en hamacas y en sofás handmade. También dispone de mesas para las comidas. Aunque el día es muy caluroso, sopla brisa fresca que hace que pases un rato a gusto. Muy propio para mochileros. Además dispone de hostel, pero recomendaría mirarlo con tiempo puesto que suele estar lleno si lo buscas en el día. Recomendable.

Essen: maximal drei Sterne Ambiente: fünf Sterne. Man kann dort auf jeden Fall seinen Spass haben. Die Preise sind für portugiesische Verhältnisse recht hoch, die Portionen relativ klein. Würde wieder hingehen wenn ich in Stimmung auf Party&Leute bin.

Absolutely delicious food ... I came here two years ago and it was even better this time around ... chef Mike is a great guy and a really good chef with a great future ahead ... Ines was lovely enough to show us around the gardens where they try to grow as much of their own food as possible, and they buy the rest locally ... the Ukrainian waitress (didn’t catch her name) was really friendly and added some of their excellent date cake to our box when we asked to take away what we couldn’t finish ... would very highly recommend going here if you’re anywhere close ...

Durchnittlich. Hatte große Lust auf Polvo (Octopus), was im Süden offensichtlich nicht überall auf der Karte steht. Leider war der ganze Teller samt Gemüse und Salat in Öl getränkt, das war ein wenig zu viel des Guten. Gewürze geschweige denn Salz ist dem Koch/der Köchin vielleicht fremd, zumindest war es geschmacklich recht fad, einzig der junge Kellner überzeugte mit Freundlichkeit. Alles ist im Süden teurer, aber 16€ war dieser Teller nicht wert. Mein teuerster und leider schlechtester Octopus in Portugal.

Place and staff is nice, came here because it was reviewed like the "healthy" place to eat. We had the veggie tortilla as a starter and really liked it. But the mains were quite a deception, we finished all just because we were starving. Had the iberic pork stripes and my stomach after 2h of trying to digest it still feels very upside down. It was not meat, but pure pork fat. We also had a fish burger. Was ok. But don't get why it is served with chips. Maybe homemade but still: dried chips (first I thought it might be old-style fresh chips from the oven- still hot and crispy, but no, just dry chips) you don't want to get served for dinner. The place is still charming anyway, just chose some other dishes when you're there.

My experience at Cato B&B was, to say the least, a disappointment. The rooms are nicely arranged and the terrace has a cool vibe. However, the room smelled musty, the restaurant was run down and the shared bathroom was moldy. I was told the bathroom would be cleaned daily. However, the mould was only scrubbed away after a request from my side.
Furthermore, the breakfast was barren and the bread dry. Also the prices for the room as well as lunch and dinner are exaggeratedly high in comparison to what one gets in that region of Portugal. In addition, the staff was rather disinterested and overwhelmed with simple questions.
In general, I had the impression that Cato was probably well renovated a few years ago, but was neglected afterwards and is now resting on it’s good reviews on AirBnB and Google. As a conclusion, I felt as if both I and parts of the staff had fallen for a tourist trap.

Énorme déception. Je ne comprend pas comment c'est possible que ce restau ait 4.5 etoiles
Service ultra lent (35 min entre la soupe et le plat principal)
Mon porc au frites était ignoble, que des bouts de gras cuit dans l'huile, 3 feuilles de salade, un bon gros demi oignon cru coupé en rondelle, des frites molles. On a attendu le orange cake en se disant que ça allait rattraper le reste, mais non (même bourré avec une recettes et les yeux bandés j'aurais fait mieux)! Pas un morceau d'orange ni même le goût , servit brûlant mais pas cuit, vraiment pas bon du tout ... 20 euros le tout.
La limonade ressemblait à un médicament.
Je n'exagère pas.
Bel endroit, relax, sûrement bien pour boire des bières devant un concert mais à éviter absolument pour y manger.

Super nettes Restaurant, mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und sehr leckerem Essen. Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen, gegen Ende des Abends wurde sogar noch Musik gespielt.

Expensive €15 menu (soup + burger + dessert). charged us full price and had no dessert left, drinks and coffees are charged extra. took forever to be served between dishes, slow and clumsy service. the burger had so much pepper in it that ruined the taste, couldn’t finish it.
there were some friendly dogs sniffing the guests, those were cute.

Subpar.
Slow service and I could only taste pepper in what looked like a beef burger. Also I have a very strong suspicion that the top of the bun / tomato I saw falling on the floor from the plate on its way out of the kitchen to be served was the same that actually ended up on our table (the very short time taken to replace the warm bun, the distinctive look of my particular bun compared to the others being served and the way it was resting on the burger when it got to the table all point to that). The somewhat expensive 15€ set menu was supposed to include soup, main course and dessert but by the time we finished the main course we were told there was no more dessert, so the coffee was free (meh..).
The only occasion when the service was lightning fast was when one waiter brought the change for our payment to the table in a small box only to, seconds later and by surprise, another picks up the box and quickly puts the change in the tip jar.
The soup was good.

Una pena de sitio. Con musica, todo muy agradable, pero la comida no hay quien se la coma, carísimo, un menu de 16€ que no vale nada, 4 mejillones, 4!!! Y un segundo que era todo espinas y escamas, lo tuvimos que devolver y cambiar por otro que seguia estando muy malo.

Fantastic place right next to Bordeira beach, Surfer's vibe, very friendly staff, great food and lots of nice events. They do have a Bed&Breakfast as well. Loved it! Definitely recommend it!!

In a beautiful part of the Algarve in Portugal there is a jewel and it has a name: Cato!
Everything on the menu is fresh, even the lemonades. I had the burrito and some drinks while in the background there was good live music.
Definitely coming back here!!

Aufgrund der hohen Bewertungen sind wir mit großer Freude und Erwartung ins Cato gefahren. Um es vorweg zu sagen, diese wurden nicht erfüllt. Das Ambiente mag ja ganz nett sein. Wir waren an einem Freitagabend dort und es waren gerade einmal drei Pärchen zu Besuch.
Die Karte im Internetauftritt klang vielversprechend, doch leider wurde nur ein kleiner Teil angeboten. Weder Steak noch Fisch waren verfügbar. Der ausgewählte Beef-Burger für 11 Euro ist preislich überzogen. Leider waren die Getränke auch zu teuer. Alles in allem kann ich die hohen Bewertungen nicht ganz nachvollziehen.

Para quem gosta de comer é fraco. Dá a entender que está feito para pessoas que estão alojadas no espaço. Poucas opções e pouca vontade de se ajustar aos gostos do cliente, como é óbvio se se pagar o "extra" já mostram vontade. O preço pago não justifica a qualidade apresentada. A não repetir

Fantastic food and ambience for dinner. We loved it so much that we repeated the night after. If you take dessert, don't miss their chocolate mousse. It's just spectacular.

Very nice people working here. I accidentally forgot my ID when renting a surfboard, and they did me the favor of sending it to my girlfriends house in Brussels. Food is very good, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere.

Insipid try-hard hippie place. Sweet vague people, but five items on the breakfast buffet only!?! Really??!! And coffee like dishwater. In a country that excels at breakfast, this place is anomalous and avoidable.

Cosy B&B with super nice staff. Really didn't expect such good food. One of the best veggie burger I've ever had! Most of the food comes from their own garden and everything was really tasty.
We rounded up our Portugal trip in Carrapartiera after a view days in Lissabon. The quiet neighborhood with the beautiful beaches were perfect to calm down and relax before traveling back home.

The restaurant serves most of the food out of their own organic garden. The cook is really passionate and one of the most sympathetic guys I've ever met. Honest meals made with love according to this everything we tried was excellent! We felt at home at the B&B it was enjoyable!
