Interesting caves and rocks. There are usually a lot of surfers. The beach itself was pretty empty when I went sunbathing in February, which was nice. You can hike to another beach close by. What I dont like is that they let dogs walk at the beach and poop and piss there.

Not good waves and risky currents. Crowded with begginer surfers. Very little parking ans only a over priced restaurant

Great secluded beach when wind is offshore. Quite steep steps down to the cove but worth the walk! There looks to be a beachside cafe at the bottom, overlooking the cove but as we were there in December, it was just a viewing platform to watch the surfers.

Beautiful small beach. Not great for swimming. Some fun waves around however it is very crowded with professional bodyboarders and you are unlikely to be given any waves. If you are a visiting surfboarder it is better to try one of the other larger beaches nearby to get a wave. Great to watch though!

This beach is beautiful, the sun hits the rocks to the east side of the beach as the Sun goes down. The Surf is pretty amazing when it's working.

It's a really mixed textile and non textile beach. Nice not having a long walk accross sand. To get to naturist part. Handy restaurant. While maybe not for naturist newbies. We will be back.As naturally divided the beach could be signposted.

Espectacular playa, cómo todas las de su entorno.
Se lleva muy bien con el coche y tiene zona de aparcamiento y chiringuito por si no traes sombrilla.
No está muy masificada y puedes ir en familia para echar el día, incluso hay gente que acampa en los alrededores o va en caravana y pasa algunas noches en la zona.
Muy recomendable para quiénes quieran playas tranquilas donde pasar el día sin que te molesten

Great surfing spot with one of the most iconic breaks in southern portugal.
On great days You have the chance to see some really awesome athletes in the water.
Unfortunately, You also will encounter boatloads of overmatched wannabes that think starting with a hardboard in challenging waves is the safest and fastest way to improve...

A little of the beaten track. Only one restaurant/beach bar but very nice and service brilliant. Lovely beach but sun beds look totally uncomfortable.

Tres belle plage pas trop peuplée. Attention aux vagues et à la marée. Si vous avez de la chance, des dauphins passent régulièrement devant la plage.....et font le spectacle.

Bardzo urokliwa, niezbyt zatłoczona plaża z miękkim piaskiem i płytką wodą. Fragmenty dalsze od Zavial wręcz odludne.

Bei Surfern sehr beliebt. Von den Klippen aus lassen sie sich wunderbar beobachten. Man fühlt sich fast wie in der Arena. Es gibt vor Ort ein Restaurant mit überdachter Terrasse. Die Cocktails waren sehr gut.

Super schöner Strand. Bei Ebbe lässt es sich noch weiter gehen zu versteckten traumhaften Strandabschnitten, mit glasklarem Wasser.

A beautiful little cove in Portugal. Plenty of sun soakers with the shelter from the surrounding hills. Not ideal for swimming, the high tide washes right over the rocks making it dangerous with swell but great to watch the experienced surfers manage the currents and burly waves!

Acceso fácil. Aparcas en la carretera. Es una cala grande,de arena fina y agua turquesa. El problema el viento que molesta bastante y suele ser normal que haya viento. Hay bastantes surfistas. Para estar un rato tranquilo leyendo en las rocas es perfecto. Tranquilidad y poca gente.

We went in Zavial beach many times to surf. As beginner sometimes you can find waves too big, but some other times you'll have just the right ones to learn properly. If needed, look for a good school and follow their advice.
