Staff were really great and there to help all they could.Really friendly but not pushy at all.It was a lovely relaxing place. Bathrooms could be redone but showers were really great with the pressure being the best shower we have had.Care taken with cleaning and maid service good too.

Hôtel restaurant avec piscine, belle plage à 10 minutes à pied, entourées de falaises comme un peu partout dans l'Algarve. La ville est agréable avec de belles maisons blanches mais il est préférable d'y aller en voiture au vu de la distance restaurants à proximité

This is the second time I have stayed here and both times I have been struck by the friendly and efficient staff, the great service and the brilliant location. If you like Albufeira but don't like to be close to the centre where it gets rather manic, then this hotel may be for you. I would say that it is not a hotel for families as there is little for children to do, but for adults only the pool is small but well kept, plenty of sun beds, the beach is 5 minutes walk away and there are plenty of places to eat around. The hotel itself offers a nice selection of food both during the day and in the evening and the bar is great, with a wide selection...the cocktail menu is particularly good! There are 2 shops close by for everyday essentials, a car rental place literally round the corner so you can explore further if you wanted. The rooms are basic, but clean and tidy and the balconies are big and not overlooked. I plan on coming back next year and by the conversations I have heard this week am not the only person who would like to make a visit to Torre Velha a regular occurrence. Superb!

Simpáticos y las habitaciones bastante competentes y muy cerca del pueblo

Ich war geschockt als ich an dem Hotel ankam. Es fing schon außen an, es sieht nicht sehr einladend aus. Das Personal an der Rezeption war in Ordnung gewesen...nett ist was anderes. Das Zimmer war relativ groß und einigermaßen sauber. Da das Hotel schon älter ist, waren die Nächte ein Albtraum gewesen. Es hat durch die Fenster durchgezogen und man hatte ein dauerhaftes Pfeifen im Zimmer. Des weiteren war das Fenster im Bad kaputt und hat die ganze Nacht gewackelt...bei diesem tollen Konzert war es unmöglich zu schlafen und aus dem Urlaub wurden anstrengende Tage. Das Frühstück war ein Witz! Es gab Brötchen welche man nicht essen konnte mit Butter, eine Wurstsorte, eine Käsesorte, Marmelade, ein Müsli und Joghurt. Ganz geschweige von dem Kaffee welcher ungenießbar war. Positiv an dem Hotel ist die Strandlage, man ist innerhalb von 5 min am Strand, welcher gemütlich klein ist und keineswegs überfüllt. In die Stadt braucht man 20-30 min. Ich würde niemandem das Hotel empfehlen der länger als 2-3 Tage dort ist.

I haven't stayed here only used the restaurant and bar. Have had several pleasant evenings and always found the staff hepful and eager to please. The meals are very well prepared and reasonably priced. In short I would recommend for a quiet night out with the family

Cette hôtel est très bien pour le prix très propre et l hôtel est à l identique des photos sur internet .la réceptionnistes est très gentille et parle français , le reste du personnelle très serviable.je tiens à préciser que l hôtel est à 5 km d albufeira le vélo et le bus sont à oublier soit ses la marche ce qui se fait très bien ou soit la voiture dont les prix varie entre 60 et 180 euro la semaine cette hôtel est destiné pour la détente les plages il ya tout restaurant supermarché distributeur de banque attention il peut y avoir des frais bancaires selon la banques voilà bon séjour à tous

Zona tranquilla e comoda a 2 passi dalla spiaggia. C'è il parcheggio gratuito. La piscina è molto carina e c'è anche un ristorante sia per pranzare e cenare sia per un aperitivo. La nostra stanza forse un po' datata con il bagno con le piastrelle aveva però tutti i comfort compreso un simpatico balconcino con vista sul mare

Le doy una por obligación. Las habitaciones muy antiguas y el bar-restaurante muy caro.

Boas. Fomos comer várias vezes a este fabulos restaurante. Recomendo as pizzas, as asas de frango e as saladas. Pizzas grandes e bem recheadas, asas de frango bem crocantes (apesar de achar que deviam vir acompanhadas de um molho BBQ) e saladas muito apetitosas. Recomendo.

Localización tranquila, con bajada a tres bonitas calas. Bañito en la piscina con una cerveza bien fría totalmente recomendado. En general fue una estancia agradable, muy recomendado.

Отличное расположение, идеальный район, в отеле тишина, до океана 5 минут пешком, до остановки столько же. Хороший ресторан на территории отеля: кормят вкусно и по приемлемым ценам, по четвергам караоке. В отеле есть бассейн, которым мы, правда, так и не воспользовались. Персонал приветливый и готов помочь в любой ситуации. Номер не самый современный, но достаточно большой и чистый. Убирались в нем каждый день. В номере была большая веранда, на которой можно было прекрасно позавтракать.

Good location, quiet and relaxing. A little outdated but clean. 5 minutes walk to the beach. 3 minutes walk to small supermarket. A few places to eat nearby (Dom Dinis is very good). Albefuire is 20 minutes by car or taxi which was reasonably priced

Mal, poca higiene: -cambio de toalla cada 2 dias (no la han cambiado de 4 dias que llevamos) -cambio de sábana 1 vez a la semana (es decir, ¿estamos durmiendo en sábana usada?) -limpieza diaria de suelo (llegamos y habia pelos. Al segundo dia, pedí un cepillo para recogerlo)

Me encantó mi estancia allí. El personal muy amable, mi habitación muy acogedora, el único pero que pongo es que le falta un ascensor y cuando te toca una habitación de arriba no veas para ir cargados de maletas.

Le charme de la tradition portugaise, avec les azulejos. Simple, beaucoup de vent, un peu bruyant avec les menuiseries qui ferment mals.

The pool area was really nice, the food was good and reasonably priced. Property was in a quiet area very near a beautiful beach and a few bars and restaurants nearby. All in all we had a very relaxing holiday.

A good clean but dated hotel with friendly staff who are prepared to meet your every need. The location is excellent being close to a number of beaches and good restaurants, although the hotel restaurant itself serves good food. Overall great value for money.

My daughter & I have recently returned from a 7 night stay at Torre Velha & had an absolutely amazing time! The staff are lovely, so welcoming & friendly, always available to help with any queries & I miss them already! It was our first time to Portugal, but we are most definitely going back next year. For anyone wanting a break from work/family/life, this is the place to go! We opted for half board (room only) as we wanted to explore, so this suited us perfectly. There are approximately 5 beaches within walking distance (ranging from 5 mins, to max 20 mins walk), plenty places to eat, including the hotel restaurant & lots to do. Old Town is the most popular tourist attraction, so recommend a visit there, the Albufeira Marina is nearby so you have access to all the boat excursions, the sightseeing bus Hop on Hop off stop is just up the road from Torre Velha, so again you have easy access to seeing Albufeira & not pay extortionate cab fares. It costs approx €19 for a 24hr pass, which is great value, plus, you are able to hop on & off wherever you wish. The local bus costs approx €2.50 but do check bus timings with the reception staff. Nearly everyone speaks English, saying that, we thought it only decent to learn a few Portuguese words too & it's amazing how quick you pick them up! Our room was cleaned daily & where I've read guest reviews stating doors were loud etc, maybe that's because the balcony doors are open, so is the bathroom window, so with cross ventilation, errrr that's what happens, but it didn't bother us one bit. There is a small pool at the hotel, but the nearest beach is only 3-5 mins away, so maybe a dip when you're hot after your walk back is better, that's what we did. No air conditioning but we found that the fan was ample for our needs. The hotel is traditional, some may find it dated, but we found it quaint & a home away from home. It was clean, smelt clean too & when you've been at the beach all day, or out exploring, a cool room & clean towels/sheets is just what the doctor ordered. You definitely get what you paid for, so I really can't understand why some are expecting the Hilton, but in reality have paid for Premier Inn lol There is an Apoliana supermarket approx 20 mins walk away, where you can buy most of your groceries & supplies, saying that, there's not much of a price difference at the smaller supermarkets either, it really depends on what you need! Be careful with jumping in cabs, as it can mount up for longer journeys such as the airport. Definitely book the transport through the hotel, which is approx €33, as a guest that checked in a few days after us paid over €70 from Faro Airport by cab & was really upset, but booked his return travel through the hotel once he realised how gullible he'd been. A guest did mention that taking a cab to Old Town costs approx €6/7 but we didn't have the chance to see if that was true. Hmmmm what else can I say, lol just go & see it for yourself because we're hooked & cant wait to go back! We met so many ex-pats there, one couple had been coming for 25yrs & had even bought a villa there, another couple had 3 properties & another Torre Velha guest had visited this hotel approx 40 times! It's a beautiful place, lovely warm friendly people, beautiful weather etc etc, so don't take my word for it, go & see for yourself. Best times to visit Albufeira is in June & September so we're told, we went 05/09 to 12/09 & it was hot hot hot! It reached 35 degrees whilst we were there, imagine that. Anyway, Marta, Bella, Bruno & all other staff, thank you for your wonderful hospitality, we had an amazing first time to your beautiful country & hope to see you again very soon, thank you thank you thank you xxxxxxx

In the bathroom only 1 of 3 lights work, in bedroom only 1... Toilet makes bubble sounds because it is probably clogged. Very uncomfortable bed, but ok for three nights.

Es un hotel muy poco confortable con baños antiguos mala ropa de cama y decoracion pesima. Practicamente lo unico que tiene de positivo es la cercania a calas como Cala da Coelha

Dell'impianto di illuminazione funzionano: 1 su 3 luci in bagno, 0 su 1 sul balcone, 3 su 4 in stanza; il frigorifero la prima notte ha iniziato a fare un rumore enorme che è stato stoppato dal lancio di una ciabatta; il ventilatore a velocità 5 è lentissimo; la vasca da bagno sembra otturata perché l'acqua scorre eccessivamente lenta; lo sciacquone schizza completamente il water fuoriuscendo dallo stesso. L'impianto elettrico fa strani rumori di corto circuito soprattutto nell'interruttore della luce centrale della stanza (non funzionante ovviamente); il frigobar è stato posto su un tavolino di plastica ed essendo parzialmente cedute le gambe, il frigo è inclinato in avanti e appena lo si apre cade tutto. In compenso è economico e vicino al centro solo se hai una macchina.

Très bon emplacement. Personnel acceillant. Belle pusvine. Belle terrasse avec vue sur mer. Bel extérieur et pas loin d'une tres belle plage. Mais chambre avec lit inconfortable et sans clim. Hotel tres vieux besoin d'une bonne rénovation.

Enkel om te eten. Kwam wat stroef op gang en de wijn is niet top. Het kan gezelliger maar de engelse gasten maken het gezellig. Prijzen zijn laag en eten best ok. De lamsrack was erg taai maar de rest ok. Duurste gerecht is een T Bone à €14,50.

Leider ist das Zimmer eher spärlich.. Ich war geschockt,was ich da gebucht habe... Der Balkon war nicht zu gebrauchen.. Aber auf der anderen Seite des Hotels sieht es sehr viel besser aus,

Calidad precio es bastante buena. La limpieza de la habitación es excelente,nos han tratado como en casa. Y la ubicación es tambien buena. La playa do Castelo es muy bonita y esta al lado del hotel. Sin duda repetiré.

El equilibrio perfecto en la relación calidad/precio. A persar de su aparente modestia, este hotel/hostal disponde de una gran cantidad de servicios, una enorme flexibilidad, un personal excepcionalmente agradable y una buena ubicación, aunque es recomendable disponer de coche. No obstante se puede acceder a la playa en 5 minuos andando.

This hotel is a fantastic option for a solo getaway most if the guests were solo travellers, I have stayed at a lot if places alone and I have never found a place were u felt so comfortable, relaxed and safe as I did at this place. The rooms are basic and slightly dated but it is a budget accommodation and in my opinion you get more than you pay for . I would return for sure and recommend to my friends looking for a relaxing break.

Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Room small but adequate for 1 person. Not a lot of storage room. Hotel in a nice quiet location but to walk into Albufeira - about 3 km - took a while as very hilly.

Verrassend lekker gegeten, van buiten lijkt het niet veel, maar prima kwaliteit eten voor een heel schappelijke prijs. Voor 46€ met z'n vieren gegeten en gedronken. Aanrader.

Preisgünstiges Hotel, ordentliche, saubere Zimmer, freundliches Personal,2 kleinere, schöne Strandbuchten, jeweils mit Gastronomie, in ca. 500m und 800m Entfernung.

Aufenthalt im Hotel angenehm für einen Tag ok. Hatte nicht aufgepaßt beim Buchen, das Zimmer hatte keine Klimaanlage, aber ein Ventilator an der Decke. Und der ist leiser als ein Klimaanlage. Hotel Sauber aber in die Jahre gekommen. Nicht weit weg zum Strand. Mein Gefühl war, das in jeder Bucht mindestens ein Restorante ist. Im ganzen schön aber, zu teuer Portugal.
