They start with bringing you a plate of starters which you didn’t ask for. They are also not free, so think twice before you take some bread or olives. The pizza was small and not handmade. The piri-piri chicken had more bones than chicken. Wouldn’t recommend.

Sehr gutes Essen, zu realistischen Preisen. Super nettes und aufmerksames Servicepersonal. Wer guten Fisch zu schätzen weiß, ist hier genau richtig.

Food was good, staff.less.so, apathetic, got the orders wrong and there were only two tables taken. You.got the feeling they wished you weren't there... seems to have taken a nosedive since Ilda left service wise..... Sad really as the food was good. An excellent steak Portuguese style and spare ribs.

The food is soooo bad and salty. The waiter is cheating the tourist by accidently bring the wrong drink and wrong food and try to charge you more.

Très très bon, service très bien. Seul bémol le prix indiquer ne correspond pas au prix de l'addition. Menu à 10€ qui passe finalement à 14€ sans que lon nous prévienne et finalement qui passe a 15,50€ sans compréhension...

I can't ever remember being ripped off by a restaurant before but here's what happened to me at this place ... I ordered the Plato do Dia, the plate of the day, with mixed fish. The board outside the restaurant said the price for the mixed fish, listed as an assortment, would be 10 Euros. When the plate arrived the "mixed fish" consisted only of grilled sardines. When the bill arrived I'd been charged 14 Euros not 10. Upon leaving I checked the board outside again and saw that somebody had changed the sign from 14 to 10 Euros. So ... I was ripped off not only on the product but also the price. Outrageous.

Parfait ! Le repas etait bon, le poulet très bon et un bon accueil du serveur qui en plus connaissait quelques mots en Français.

Leckeres Essen, geschmackiges Hauswein und sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal Ambiente ist auch sehr angenehm und gemütlich eingerichtet, absolut empfehlenswert!

Sehr positiv war die Freundlichkeit des Kellners. Das Essen war unterdurchschnittlich- Fisch und Fleisch jeweils zu sehr durch. Die bunte Atmosphäre muss man mögen. Im Außenbereich wirkte es gemütlicher, jedoch war die Temperatur dafür ungeeignet. Kann man, muss man aber nicht haben...

La peor pizza que he comido en mi vida: los ingredientes repartidos por partes: toda la pizza tenía queso y tomate pero una parte solo cebolla, otra solo pimiento, otra solo jamón.. aún mezclándolo la pizza una birria, masa cruda y queso muy malo. El vino también una lastima. Los camareros simpáticos pero tienen también un loro atado al lado de nuestra mesa que la cadena ni le da para volar y da bastante angustia verlo.

El sitio no está mal, y tiene música en directo, pedimos 5 raciones, la barriga de atún estaba buena, las gambas flambleadas picaban demasiado, el pulpo a la algarvia no estaba muy allá, y la apariencia no era bonita, aparte de tener un exceso de pimienta, como las lulas q tenías un montón de pimienta, la carne estaba bien, decir que me parece una exageración que te cobren 5 euros por una cerveza, excesivo y buusivo, a parte de porque no estaba echada bien.
El servicio bastante regular, había un camarero que no se enteraba de nada, y no nos pusieron ni los cubiertos a todos.

Gemütlich, man kann drinnen und draußen sitzen, es wird draußen vor den Gästen frisch gegrillt. Gute Fischauswahl. Sehr freundliches und kinderliebes Personal. Sprechen auch gut Englisch. Entspannte Atmosphäre. Die Kinder amüsieren sich über den Papageien und drinnen über die Aquarien u.a. mit einer Schildkröte.
Das Essen ist sehr gut und lecker. Typisch portugiesisch und keine Massenabfertigung.

Ce restaurant sert des cataplanas de poissons absolument délicieux, les légumes, le poisson, les noix de St Jacques, les coquillages et les crevettes dans un jus légèrement épicé, de la cuisine traditionnelle 100% portugaise, c'est un vrai régal.

Todo genial, el camarero un auténtico conquistador, muy simpático, a punto de abandonar por él, la terraza preciosa, la comida espectacular. Hemos celebrado un aniversario de boda y ya vamos medio listos. Recomendable 100X100. Hacia tiempo que no lo pasaba tan bien, también tuvimos nuestra broma por parte del camarero. Gracias por todo

Genial sitio para comer o cenar en Carvoeiro. Los camareros son amables y la comida sale muy rápido. Tienen un humor un poco raro pero les entiendes rápido. Es importante reservar porque se llena rápido de gente. Lo único extraño que ocurrió es que la plancha donde hacían la comida se incendió, pero lo apagaron rápido con un extintor.

Um restaurante a evitar. A comida é boa, mas fomos literalmente assaltados.
O empregado vendeu-nos pratos que não estavam na lista e fez os preços que lhe apeteceu, alegando que o preço que constava na lista era de peixe congelado e que o peixe vendido era fresco, daí o preço elevado! Um prato com UMA lula, três batatas e uma colher de legumes custou €20 (o preço da lista era €14,50).
Um prato do dia que constava na ementa (chocos à algarvia) a €9,50, foi-nos cobrado a €13...
Enfim, a não repetir e definitivamente não recomendado!

Je n'ai pas apprécié la morue le plat du jour alors que j'adore la morue ... dommage.
Il y a 2 perroquets séquestrés (enchaînés) les pauvres .... ça m'a choquée du début à la fin de mon repas...

Great atmosphere, simple, well prepared food and authentic flavours. Some reviews have talked about the slow or poor service, but the waiters are very friendly. As long as you're happy to signal for attention, no problem. And the parrots are great. Sit out the back, very family friendly.

Endroit à l'abri du soleil en cas de forte chaleur, terrasse super agréable. Carte variée et poisson choisi à l'étale et non sur carte, ce qui est vraiment mieux. La grillade de poisson est excellente !

Ate here with a group of 8, I would suggest booking a table as we saw a lot of people being turned away. Really relaxed atmosphere and well cooked food. Well worth a visit.

Worst food and service we've had in Portugal.
We looked at reviews, but still decided to go since good places around were all fully booked. Then we were sorry we didn't just go to one of the snack bars.
We ordered two pizzas without meat. After an hour (or a bit more) we got two pizzas with ham. It was quite weird as we stressed we do not want meat, and one of the pizzas was vegetarian. Then 15 minutes later we finally got the correct pizzas, which looked like a dodgy driver delivered them. Unfortunatelly the taste was also nothing to brag about.
On the upside, the waiters were quite friendly (except for waitress who looked like their boss), although very disorganised. I think we dealt with five or six different, many doing same things.

Oh dear! We called in on spec. because I fancied sardines..they were tasty enough. Though, the pizza my friend was served, was actually made on a pre-formed base.. UNBELIEVABLE! (And, inedible). The chef moved their parrot around quite a lot..and alas never appeared to wash her hands between doing so and handling food again.
Their prices were reasonable..but their product was not. Avoid.
