I have stayed here several times. It is a small family run hotel and you are always made to feel welcome. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble.

A great hotel no more than 15 minutes walk from the nearest beach, the room we had was clean and comfortable, and had a smart TV so we could keep up with Game of Thrones . The staff I encountered were polite, and friendly always helping and trying to make you laugh, as soon as we arrived at the hotel we were given a map of the area and had directions drawn on for us to local beaches, restaurants and the town without the need to even ask. There's a relaxing Jacuzzi or a small pool to swim in which was appreciated. We certainly enjoyed our two nights here in Lagos.

The welcome and friendliness of evening staff was excellent. The breakfast was very good. However the young waitress at breakfast was unhelpful. We had to clear dirty plates away ourselves as none of the tables had been cleared. They also ran out of plates at the buffet. Would also be good to have an extract fan in the bathroom rather than just an open windows. It got steamy. But overall a fantastic hotel and we would love to go back and spend more time there.

Solar de Mos Hotel is a real gem in Lagos situated between the old town and De Mos beach all within walking distance. The lady of the house was very helpful and looked after the guests as if welcoming them to her house!! Absolutely charming !!! Breakfast was superb and overall good value for money. I will certainly stay at this hotel again and will recommend to all my friends too!!

We loved everything about this hotel - except it's location. If you have a car you won't have an issue, but we didn't, so it was a 20+ min walk to the city centre. Otherwise, the room was great, the service was fantastic (they offered to pack us lunch for when we had to check out very early and miss breakfast), breakfast was a very large spread, and while we didn't get a chance, the pool and hot tub looked pristine and inviting.

Najlepszy hotel w poludniowej Portugalii. 3 gwiazdki to ewidentnie zbyt malo. Pokoj piekny, z balkonem, czysto, z wanna, swietnie urzadzony, nawet szlafroki w lazience! Sniadanie niesamowite, swieze owoce, dzem bananowy, ktorego nigdzie indziej w zyciu nie spotkalem, a smakowal kosmicznie! Polecam za ta cene na kazda ilosc dni. Obsluga sympatyczna :)

Die liebe Susan an an der Rezeption hat uns alles ganz toll erklärt und viele gute Empfehlungen für uns gehabt. Die Zimmer sind schön. Zum Strand und zur Stadt ist es ein wenig zu laufen, aber nicht weit. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen!
Die Banabenmarmelade, die es zum Frühstück gibt, ist wirklich bemerkenswert lecker.

거리가 조금 떨어져있만 가격대비 훌륭한 시설이다. 그리고 수영장과 수영장 옆에 샤워시설도 갖추고있다. 직원들이 매우 친절하며 카약 예약과 이런저런 예약을 친절하게 도와줬다. 포르투갈택시 파업으로 새벽에 기차역까지 걸어가야될 상황이었는데 도움을 받기도 했다.

l'amabilité du personnel, la taille de l'établissement, le calme, le charme d'une "pension de famille", la piscine, proximité de la plage (mais préférable d'y aller en voiture...on descend..mais il faut remonter ensuite ) 3' voiture. Le centre historique env. 2-3 km, les parkings à l'entrée. Location de vélos s/place pour les plus sportifs. Le parking. Le petit déjeuner très complet, les "snacks" de 13h à 16h sans commande ( en réalité cela correspond à un copieux lunch - crevettes, hamburgers, hot-dogs, frites, riz, salades, omelettes etc...), le resto du soir - les plats sur commande avant midi. Conseillé !

Nos encanto!!! muy cerca de las playas, la habitacion enorme y muy bonita, el desayuno muy bueno, pero sobre todo el trato del recepcionista , muy amable y simpatico, nos ayudo bastante en las visitas a las playas, restaurantes y excursiones. Recomendable 100%.

L’accueil a été très bien, la personne parlait français. C'est toujours un plus, elle nous a expliqué ce qu'il y a faire dans la région et en ville avec des choix de restaurants.
Le centre ville est à 20 min à pieds et la plage à 20 min également.

Personnel extrêmement aimable. Bon petit déjeuner. Par contre la piscine (non chauffée) est vraiment très froide mailgré la chaleur extérieur. Impossible dy rester plus de 5 mn, alors que je nai généralement pas de problème pour nager en Bretagne ou sur les plages du Nord !!De plus, il est préférable davoir une voiture

I stayed in the new block. A relaxing overnight stay as the room had black out curtains. A waterfall shower adding to the experience. A jacuzzi on the roof with panoramic views of Lagos and the ocean. Helpful staff and a very nice breakfast. Free parking. Dinner has to be booked before 1200(fyi) walking distance to the beach, while been in a quiet area.
Would stay here again.
The sat nav may take you around the back of the hotel. The actual road is the small dead end.

Ausserhalb des trubels, absolut ruhige und sichere Gegend. Parkplätze ausreichend direkt vor der türe vorhanden. Dazu sehr nettes personal. Gute Restaurants in 10 minuten gehzeit erreichbar. Frühstück bis jetzt das beste in portugal. Absolute weiterempfehlung!!

Amazing find in Lagos. Extremely quiet neighborhood. Free parking. Friendly service. Top notch breakfast. Charming interior. We loved our stay here and will certainly visit again. The only issue was that the walls in the rooms seem paper thin. But if you're going to Lagos to hang out in your room, you're doing it wrong...

This was a charming family run hotel in a nice quiet neighbourhood . Our room was lovely with a nice balcony, very clean and traditional in decor in keeping with the buildings. The pool was great and it was nice to relax, plenty of sunbeds and a lovely garden. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice, cereals,yogurts, fresh fruit,cheese, cold meats and bread, There was also hot eggs,bacon and beans and pastries etc. Really a great choice.

bon hotel bien situé dans un endroit calme et pas lin du centre et des plages (5mn voiture-15mn à pied) et à taillle humaine (une viongtaine de chambres)chambres spacieuses meme sil manque un peu de rangement pour un séjour long avec terrasse vue sur océannous étions logés dans le batiment nouveau( un 3 è est d’ailleurs en construction) donc chambres modernes - le petit plus un spa sur le toit terrassepas de demi pension - le petit déjeuner parfait avec un gateau maison frais tous les matins - des céréales maisons plus quexcellentes-

We really enjoyed our short break here. Quiet location, but close enough to the beach or into town. Room was great with big comfy bed, fridge, small balcony and rainfall shower. Pool area nice and relaxing. Had dinner one night as well - it was so tasty. Big thanks to Lena, Mario and the team for looking after us so well.

We were allocated a room in the other building (away from reception, beyond the pool). This was very modern, bright and fresh. Building included a roof-top terrace and a small gym. Great breakfast! Helpful staff. Not too far from the main centre of Lagos, but we appreciated that it was far enough away to be very peaceful and quiet. Very good hotel.

Quaint old style hotel. Location not the best but had on site parking. It was a little hard to find with our navigation system, the addresses are deceiving on this street (Lt. 1 and Lt. 2 are on opposite ends of the street. Good buffet breakfast. Quite a walk to the beach, but the beach is beautiful.

I stayed at an annex building. Since it seemed the new building, the room was very clean and nice. No complaints about the facilities. Breakfast was also nice with multiple choices. The city center and beach are somehow distant, but with a car, I didn’t have any problems. They also have bikes that you can use. The staff is very kind and heart warming. Only request I have is to reduce the price of the laundry service. Other than that, it is a good place to stay and recommendable.

Accoglienza molto cordiale e simpatica. Struttura molto curata e grande cura della pulizia. Stanza spaziosa e letti grandi e confortevoli. Colazione a buffet molto ricca, varia tra dolce salato e frutta. Piscina carina e a disposizione anche fino a sera. Parcheggio privato gratuito. Possibilità di noleggio bici. A circa 20 minuti a piedi dal centro storico.

Chegamos cedo para o check in, por volta das 12h30, e fomos informados que não poderíamos almoçar pois os pedidos e reservas deveriam ser feitos até às 12h. Perguntei se poderíamos reservar o jantar e a resposta foi a mesma.
Disso conclui-se que uma hospedagem de 1 dia não se pode almoçar nem jantar neste estabelecimento.
Comemos uma omeleta do snack bar.
Essa regra não consta do Booking e não voltaremos mais por lá.

We had such a great stay here that we didn’t want to leave! The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful with giving beach and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Parking was easy. Would 100% recommend!

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Wir haben sehr viele nützliche Informationen erhalten. Am zweiten Abend hatten im Hotel gegessen was sehr gut war und mit jedem anderen Restaurant voll mithalten konnte. Die Zimmer waren auch sehr gut.

Room was clean and overlooked pool and ocean. Nice, quaint terrace in room with table. Staff couldn't have been friendlier, helpful and accomodating. We had to leave early on day of check out and they packed us a to go breakfast since we would miss breakfast! So sweet. Speaking of breakfast, it was plentiful, fresh and delicious...i was very impressed! Lastly, location was perfect. Halfway between beach and city center on a nice quiet street with apartments. Took about 15 min to walk either way. Being out of the city center, there were much better, cheaper restaurants. It was a perfect vaca! Lagos and our stay couldn't have been better

No Wifi - did not work the entire stay and would never work, they have a very slow internet.
Customer Service was horrific. Family owned hotel and every single on of them is completely miserable and take their anger out on their guests.
Housekeep ran out of Bathroom Amenities - no soap or shampoo during our stay. Unacceptable!
They scolded us for asking for a beach towel each day. They told us to use the same beach towel during our entire week long stay because they didn't want to do laundry and it was inconvenient. (That literally came out of their mouth!)
The average guest age at this hotel ranges from 70-85. Older group of guests.
If you order lunch or dinner, make sure to be prepared to wait 1.5 hours - they are very slow at making food in the kitchen.
All in all, I would highly not recommend coming back due to the terrible customer service of each of the hotel staff members. Ran our of bathroom amenities, no beach towels, no umbrellas for the rain, very organized hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room we stayed in (Room 1) had a bathroom almost as big as the bedroom which was nice. The breakfast was nice and suited most diets (Cereals, toast, cakes, ham and cheese, bacon eggs and beans). The pool area was clean and well maintained but the pool was too cold to use during our stay in early April. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have have access to a car because it is a little out of the town. If you do have a car there is plenty of parking and it is well located between the beach and the town. You get a little kettle and tea/coffee in the room which was also a nice touch.

Beautiful place! Big, comfortable room with a terrace overlooking the pool. Lovely grounds and delicious breakfast. Kind of in a quiet, residential area but we had a lovely meal at Brasao not too far away.

Excellent hotel with friendly helpful staff. The beach was a 15 minute stroll or could catch a bus which runs every hour. Very few restaurants locally so would need to go into town by bus or cab.

Bonito y acogedor hotelito. Limpieza, amplias habitaciones, tranquilidad y descanso. Bufet de desayuno básico pero completo, sin colas. Piscina pequeña ideal para los niños, hamacas y sombrillas disponibles. Aparcamiento seguro y algo retirado del centro.

Absolutely wonderful hotel staff, made me feel as if I were staying in their home. Friendly and thorough. Hotel is a short drive from the beach and a moderate walk from some of town. The room was a bit cramped, but clean and comfortable. Outside terrace was lovely for spreading out a bit to eat.

We stayed here September 13 for sadly only one night. This place is truly wonderful and the owners make you feel like you are the most important guest they have. On our arrival, Lena, one of the owners, greeted us and told us about the night's menu that she freshly prepares. We couldn't resist and put our reservation in for dinner that night. The food was amazing! We dined at a lovely table and met another couple staying there that we later enjoyed pleasurable conversation and wine in the easy chairs next to the bar. After speaking to other guests there, and after our brief but truly divine experience, we understood why folks visited and stayed at this place often to recharge their batteries. I look forward to when we can return and stay longer!

This place is wonderful. The owners strive to make you feel like they are their only guests. One of the owners does the cooking and she is a fabulous cook. Did not want to leave. Wish we could be there longer.

Lhôtel est très bien tenu et la gérente est bien sympathique. Malheureusement nous avions une chambre un peu petite et une fois les 2 valises posées il restait peu de place (mais nous avons vu quil y avait des chambres plus grandes que la nôtre). lhôtel est un peu éloigné du centre (environ 20 mn à pied) mais il est calme. Belle piscine dans un petit jardin agréable. Par contre la télé fonctionnait mal (friture) et il ny avait pas de chaînes françaises. Dautre-part la connexion internet nest pas toujours facile. Petit -déjeuner copieux mais des croissants sous vide, dommage.

Ein kleines (15 Zimmer) aber daher auch sehr nettes und gemütliches Hotel. Nah zur Zentrum von Lagos (Auto ca. 7 Min.) und Strand Porto de Mos (Auto ca 5 Min.).
Gutes Frühstücksbuffet (englisch orientiert). Zimmer und Bad gut. Sehr nette und vielsprachige Hotelführung und sehr freundliches Personal.
Exzellent für ältere Paare.

Positive:- small hotel- parking space easily available.Negative:- the worst mattress I have slept on for years. Unable to sleep there for several hours, because the mattress is convered with a plastic that is very noisy when you move, and makes you sweat during the night.Adicional info: 15 minutos walking distance from the beaches (better to take the car) and 20 minutes to town center.

Lo más sorpredente es el precio para ser un cuatro estrellas, aunque algunos aspectos sean un poco limitados para dicha categoría. Está situado en una zona residencial y tranquila de Lagos pero contando con vehículo propio está muy cerca del centro y de muchas playas. Las habitación tenía terraza a un pequeña y cuidada piscina. El mobiliario es tradicional, un poco antiguo aunque bien conservado. Ofrece internet Wifi gratuito.
Aspectos que no corresponden con un 4 estrellas: TV antigua y pequeñísima, el minibar sólo tiene agua, desayuno con muy poca variedad.
