The access to a pristine and Long Beach sets this place a part from other locations on the coast and the grounds are beautiful. However, the rooms are on the small side and the beds aren’t very comfortable. The breakfast buffet has a lot to offer but is just ok. All they serve at dinner is a buffet to, no aka carts, which is disappointing when you don’t like buffers and you get in late in the evening. The rooms and building are a bit dated as well.

No está mal el hotel. No pude disfrutarlo más que un día de los tres reservados. Tuve que marchar y bueno, tampoco te ofrecen una opción de recuperar algo, pero bueno. La entrada algo lenta por algunas interrupciones durante mi turno, pero fue amable y en fin, quizás no era buen momento para el viaje.

Hotel was lovely and clean. Excellent location and staff very friendly. Only criticism is that there were no facilities for making tea or coffee in the room.

This property is a larger resort style property That has great beach access and was very nicely run.

Indoor pool, sauna and steam room very good. Location was reasonable, nice sea view from top floor superior room.

Everything from the moment we entered the hotel could not have been been. As we arrived well before our check in time , they allowed us to change into suitable wear for the weather , gave us towels and kept our backs in a room until it was time to check in .. The room was excellent. Cleaned daily with bed linen and towels changed every day ! Brilliant

Our trip to Portimao was booked as a free shuttle from the hotel. We were dropped off on a scruffy side street, without a clue where we were. Wmanaged

I love this place, the area, the beach, the pool, its location.... we come here once a year. We dont need to look for any other hotel if Alvor is where we want to relax for a week, and it usually is... I scrawl through the lists on Expedia and always always come back to this hotel. We usually get a taxi transfer from Faro airport about 45 mins. The hotel is spacious and clean, never looks tired. Room is clean and comfortable, bathroom always good size. Hotel grounds are luscious green, pool is clean and big size, lots of sun loungers, guests usually scatter around the green grounds, under the trees, or around the pool so never feels crowded. Step through the secure back gate and you are on the beautiful vast beach, great for a looooong walk after breakfast. Love the beach sidewalks too.10 minute walk to the harbour for lots and lots of fabulous restaurants, authentic, fresh seafood, simply grilled, and reasonable prices, lovely view at sunset... You cannot beat this area for dining. Nice stroll back to the hotel, feels very very safe, no problems at all.Taxi to Portimao is 10 euros. Great place to walk around and again the beach and restaurants are great.Highly recommend the hotel and the area.

In die Jahre gekommenes Hotel. Alles sehr altbacken, wie auch die meisten Gäste. Für junge Leute eher nicht zu empfehlen.

Great Beach and pools, super easy access. The breakfast and lunch buffets are weak and the 6 person villas are more like 5 1/2 but with very good cleaning... Beach/pool towels are ridiculously small and damaged. Staff is friendly and helpful but inexperienced for the most part.

Alles gut... Negativ fiel uns das Frühstück auf typisch für Portugal ist das Kaffee hier nicht gewesen alles Pulvermaschinen.... Ebenfalls das Essen ist zwar sehr vielfältig uns hat es etwas an frische und Qualität gefehlt vielleicht sollte das Frühstück eher Portugiesisch eingerichtet werden und nicht englisch... /Speck/Bohnen/ die Rühreier sind absolut nicht empfehlenswert dafür Punkten aber die vor Ort gekochten Spiegeleier...

Der Aufenthalt war ok, die Nähe zum Meer sehr angenehm.Zur Verbesserung hier noch:(die unteren Felder sind nicht zu beschriften):kein deutsches FernsehprogrammIm Frühstückssaal könnte das Personal weniger laut mit Besteck und Geschirr hantieren..ziemlich laute Akustik.

Februar und Oktober sind beste Reisezeiten. Auto sollte gemietet werden. Ausflüge an dien Westküste, nach Silves und Monchique nicht verpassen.

Wir (3 pax) waren an der Algarve im Januar einzig und allein um Golf zu spielen. Die Pestana Gruppe gibt ermäßigte Greenfees für Hotelgäste auf den 5 zur Gruppe gehörenden Plätzen. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Lage des Hotels, direkt am Meer, mit jeden Morgen einem spektakulären Sonnenaufgang ist hervorragend. Das Hotel ist sauber, ist jedoch insgesamt ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Das Frühstücksauswahl ist gut und sehr stark auf den englischen Kundenkreis ausgerichtet. Die Zimmerpreise waren jedoch in dieser Nebensaison so unschlagbar daß man darüber hinwegsehen kann. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen

Un cadre agréale et près de la grande ville de portimao avec des petits resto à 10€ entrée plat et dessert et le petit verre de porto du patron.... De belles ballades à faire le long des falaises et plus à découvrire......

Der Service an der Reception war gut, obwohl man manchmal den Eindruck von einer gespielten Freundlichkeit hatte. Frühstück ok, Zimmerservice wurde jeden Tag mit unterschiedlicher Oualität durchgeführt aber alles soweit ok. Die Grösse des Fernseher entspricht nicht mehr einem 4* Hotel. Schlechte Bildqualität !! Man hat am Abend keine Rückzugsmöglichkeit im Saal. Die Musik ist viel zu laut, man muss sich am Tisch in entsprechender Lautstärke unterhalten. Wenn man ein gepflegtes Bier trinken möchte ist man hier am falschen Ort. Das Bierglas wurde immer gut gefüllt aber nach kürzester Zeit war nichts mehr von einem, zum Bier gehörendem Schaum, zu sehen. Auf einen Bierkenner macht dies einen unappetitlichen, unsauberen Eindruck. Der Barservice arbeitete sehr speditiv. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder in diesem Hotel Ferien machen.

Auf den ersten Blick macht das Hotel einen sehr guten Eindruck - schöne Gartenanlage, großer Pool, direkt am schönen langen Sandstrand gelegen. Auf den zweiten Blick ist das Hotel schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, teilweise abgenutzt und ungepflegt. Der Großteil der Liegen im Poolbereich ist total durchgelegen, der Pool selbst könnte sauberer sein. Auch im Zimmer war die Einrichtung teilweise sehr abgenutzt, z.B. Flecken an Lampen und Rollo zwischen Bad und Zimmer. Insgesamt war das Zimmer aber modern eingerichtet. Wir hatten nur Frühstück inklusive, haben uns aber an einem Abend gegen Aufpreis für das Buffet im Hotel entschieden. Das Essen war ok, das Servicepersonal wirkte teilweise sehr überfordert und man musste lange warten, bis Teller abgeräumt wurden.

Man merkt, dass sich bei der Pflege der Anlage Mühe gegeben wird. Toll auch, dass WLAN überall verfügbar ist und nicht nur auf den Zimmern.

Das Hotel hat die perfekte Lage am ewig langem Sandstrand. Es ist traumhaft. Die Außenanlage ist auch sehr schön gestaltet und das Zimmer ist auch sehr schön. Vorallem der Hingucker mit dem verglasten Bad. Das Reinigungspersonal war auch super aber das wärs dann auch schon. Ansolut unfreundliches, reserviertes, launisches Personal. Es war unsere Hochzeitsreise. Uns wurde nicht einmal gratuliert oder dergleichen. Wir wurden einfach abgefertigt. Das Personal beim Frühstück war absolut überfordert und lustlos. Teller blieben ewig liegen so dass sich Möwen und andere Vögel einfach die Reste geklaut haben und auch keine scheu davor hatten bei Gästen die am essen waren, gleichiges zu tun. Das Personal sieht nur zu und lacht. Sorry, absolut unhygienisch und ekelhaft. Der Speisesaal ein graus! Riesige extrem laute Halle mit extremem Geräuschpegel! Das Frühstück war sehr groß jedoch teilweise einfach Fertigware. Daher mehr Schein als sein! Innenpool kostet extra!! Ebenso wie die Handtücher welche man auch nur bis 12 Uhr bekommen kann, danach nicht mehr. Und wenn man sie bis zum nächsten Tag 12 Uhr nicht zurück gibt, kostet es 50€ pro Handtuch! Wo gibts denn sowas?? Zudem reines Rentnerhotel! Unterhalten : vollplayback mit grottigem Gesang. Kann man sich nicht anhörenJeden Morgen löste Mitarbeiter der Bar den Alarm aus und dieser lief 5-10 Minuten. Innerhalb von 5 Tagen wurde das nicht in denn Griff bekommen!! Dieses Hotel ist dein Geld nicht wert!! Die Lage jedoch schon!!!

Hôtel au bord de la mer loin de tout situé dans un complexe dimmeuble . Beaucoup trop denfants, petit déjeuner bruyant et de basse qualité. Nous avons pris le soir de notre arrivée l’option buffet (22 euros) par personne, avons été très déçu.... Buffet digne dune mauvaise cantine scolaire ..

I have stayed in other Pestana hotels and the service has not been as good as here. Breakfast is very good but busy. The coffee machine appeared to be needing refilled regularly which meant a queue. The champagne/prosecco/cava which is a lovely touch appears to be abused by some guests which is hard to control but certainly should be. Lovely stay and would definitely visit again.

Everyone were kind & helpful to me during my 2 day stay. This was a stressful time in my life but I was able to regarge my batteries!I stayed in Vila 2 wich was wonderful.It was quiet & peaceful.Just what the Doctor ordered.Thank you so much.

Lovely hotel in a quiet location. It was too cold to use the pool(December) but it still looked inviting in the sunshine. Lovely staff and an immaculate hotel made for a lovely stay. My only complaint was the fact that the resident stray dog kept us awake a couple of nights, while he stood in the car park and barked for what seemed like hours!
