Very nice long beach but bring an umbrella if you want to hide from the sun. They did have also paying areas where you get beach chairs and umbrellas but they are at the beginning of the beach so you will have a long and painful walk to the water. Great for surfing around lunch time as the waves tend to be higher at that time.

beautiful mostly litter free beach, very long so you can easily find a secluded spot to just relax. And just behind on the street is many bars for food and drink. can sometimes be a bit windy. I didnt notice overcrowded.

Hardly anyone on the beach at the Odiaxere end. Just a great place to relax on white sand. Beach bar and toilets nearby.

A vast beach and it was extremely quiet when we visited in March. It was 22 degrees so lying on the beach was perfect. The water looked clean and the beach itself didn't have a lot of rubbish. We saw a few locals walking dogs but not many tourists sun bathing. The beach is a little drive out of Lagos but it's worth the trip out to get seclusion from the crowds.

Spectacular beach on the marina side of Lagos. This beach is not very near the city center, but reachable by car. There's a train stop nearby and some rentals, a hotel, and some restaurants. The beach is very long, no cliffs, and tons of sand. The waves seem near perfect, as the grade of the sand into the water isn't very steep, but gradual. The water was very enjoyable for the kids during our visit. There are some floating buggy rentals that you can take out into the water, that have water slides on them, but were closed during our visit.

Praia urbana, fácil acesso, limpa, ali o cenário nunca se repete, a natureza da um show. Para quem chega de carro existem vários estacionamentos de chão batido, pode haver lama ou muita poeira. Apesar de não ser oficial a pratica do nudismo nessa praia e comum muitos frequentadores ficam absolutamente a vontade.

Ein grosser breiter und wirklich schöner Strand. Es ist nicht so voll wie anderswo und man wird auch nicht von Verkäufern genervt. Am Parkplatz befindet sich eine kleine Bar und der man Getränke, Snacks und Eis kaufen kann. Der Parkplatz ist Gebührenfrei und recht gross. Der hintere Teil ist nicht mehr mit dem Auto anfahrbar weil die Strasse mit Steinen blockiert wurde. Ein Teil des Strandes ist von Rettungsschwimmern überwacht, die Grenzen sind markiert. Der Strand ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Sem duvida uma das melhores praias do Algarve. Com extenso areal onde é possível realizar grandes caminhadas e estender a toalha sem ser a encostar a outra. Agua muito límpida e por vezes devido a proximidade do rio, sente-se umas correntes mais quentes.

Playa con arena muy finita y muchísimas conchas que la hacen más bonita, hay bastante sitio para aparcar y no hemos tenido problema para dejar el coche (aunque hemos ido a media tarde que ya no hay tanta gente).
El agua estaba fresquita aunque se podía uno bañar bien, (no estaba fría fría, aunque es Agosto y pega un sol de justicia tremendo) eso sí había muchas algas que hacían el baño algo incómodo incluso para los que no nos dan especialmente asco...
De todas formas es taaaan extensa en ancho y largo que hay sitio de sobra sin tener que estar encima de los demás.

Meia Praia ist ein toller sehr weitläufiger Strand. Wenn man eine Abwechslung zu den tollen Buchten der Algarve haben möchte, sollte man diesem Strand einen Besuch abstatten. Der Sand ist feiner als an vielen anderen Stränden und eignet sich super um die ein oder andere Sandburg zu bauen!

Playa enorme, no hay problema de gente. Se aparca fácil. En mi opinión demasiado abierta que con el viento del Algarve se puede hacer a ratos muy molesto si vas a estar tumbado en la arena. Hay varios chiringuitos.

Es ist einer der schönsten Strände in der Gegend und meistens auch nicht überlaufen, wenn man nicht gerade nur 3 Minuten vom Auto laufen möchte. Überall gibt es ruhige Plätze und es ist genug Strand für alle da.
Die meisten Bereiche sind für eigene Sonnenschirme freigegeben. Nur an den Parkplätzen, wo Liegen und Sonnenschirme verkauft werden, wird man weggescheucht.
Eigentlich müsste man einen Stern abziehen, weil es nirgends Toiletten gibt, aber der Strand ist einfach zu schön, als ihm keine 5 Sterne zu vergeben.

Ein sauberer Strand den Einheimische besuchen ist mir absolut lieber, als ein überfüllter Touristenstrand - und das Meer ist das selbe! Sauber und klar!
Es gibt hier auch ein kleines Restaurant, das reichhaltige und landesübliche Gerichte kocht. Klare Empfehlung!

Nice, long beach. Not too many people present. It's OK to walk, not so much for running, since there is a very noticeable decline towards the water. There is also a nude beach towards the left, far end of the beach.

Grande areal, praia aberta onde encontra sempre um lugar agradável para estar, desde as praias concessionadas com todos os apoios no princípio até uma praia já não concessionada onde encontra nudistas e cães felizes em liberdade.

What an incredibly beautiful beach. At nearly 5km long, it doesn’t feel crowded, even late August. The water is pretty warm, by Portuguese standards, and clean. And the sand is just so soft. Beach loungers to rent with shade at €6 each are available and are the perfect way to spend the day. Someone commented that they are far from the water, but I wouldn’t agree with that - they feel close enough to me. Life guards are in attendance, which is reassuring. And today, we were fortunate enough to see a pod of dolphins swimming just offshore. There are also a number of bars / restaurants that back onto the beach. I would recommend the end away from Lagos, parking by Bar Quim, as it is that little bit quieter. Will be sad to leave this beach!

Kilometerlanger Sandstrand mit angrenzender dünenähnlicher Landschaft. Durch die Weitläufigkeit wirkt der Strand teilweise menschenleer. Ideal für eine Strandwanderung mit Halstuch und Kopfbedeckung, da es keinerlei Schattenspendende Felsen oder Bäume gibt und der Wind sehr stark wehen kann. Dies führt zu sehr interessanten Sandverwehungen bzw. Bodenstrukturen.

Excellent beach. Long stretch of golden sand with one area with dedicated lifeguards (in August at least). Not much shade so bring a sun canopy. There are some rentable sunbeds but don't know the cost. A bar and a restaurant at the back of the beach and also public toilets. The Atlantic Ocean is freezing so don't hope for much swimming unless you're braver than me!

Toller weitläufiger Strand, nicht überlaufen. Tipp: an der letzten Parkmöglichkeit über den Holzweg, dort findet man eine kleine Bude namens "Paradise Emotions" nettes Paar, vermietet Schatten und Liegen, dazu Kaffee, Eis, snacks etc.

De las mejores playas de la zona
La verdad es que esta playa nos ha encantado para ir con niños. Mientras que el resto de las playas de la zona estaban bastante masificadas, esta estaba bastante vacía y muy agradable. Hay parking gratuito y nunca he tenido problemas para dejar el coche. La playa es de arena fina, el agua no está fría y tiene pocas olas. Es una playa muy larga con pocos accesos, por lo que si quieres andar un poco te encontrarás prácticamente solo. Fuimos varios días, y el último, como indican algunos comentarios, hacía bastante viento.

One of the best beaches I’ve been to. Wide open, lots of places to set up shop or pay €12 for two reasonably comfy beach chairs, plus an umbrella. For those visiting the beach without any supplies, I’d say this is a big win. The sand is great, the water, while cold, is fun, there are lots of lifeguards and there are a number of restaurants nearby. There are also washrooms and showers nearby as well. Great spot!

Adoro a meia praia! Não tem rochas e da para estar a vontade sem medo de encalhar em rochas... É uma praia com cerca de 4km..da para fazer. Longas caminhadas, exercícios variados e se o mar estiver bom tb há a Chen e de ver a arte chavega... Ou seja a arte de pescar a moda antiga.... Muitos turistas adoram ver e fotografar

Ruhiger, langer Strand mit Blick auf Lagos mit Ponta de Piedad. Im hinteren Abschnitt FKK. Es gibt in der Umgebung schönerer und kleinere Buchten. Jedoch mit Kindern ist es hier ideal. Keine Abgase durch motorisierten Wassersport. Parkplätze sind zumeist kostenlos.

É uma praia de 7 quilómetros só com dunas areia branca donde se vê a cidade de lagos alvor e torralta uma baía enorme de onde saíram as caravelas para as descobertas

My favourite beach, with a huge sweep of sand and small dunes. It is try beautiful. The beach sweeps around and there is plenty of room for everyone even on the height of august but parking may be a problem then. There are various places with lounger hire and there are restaurants and bars for refreshments. The only downside is the lack of toilet facilities.

Ein toller breiter Sandstrand...nicht zu überlaufen, mit Möglichkeiten zur Nahrungsaufnahme die nicht so teuer sind...leider oft windig!

Good beach for watersports. The beach itself is long, flat, and not very interesting compared to other beaches. However, if you like long stretches of white sand next to blue green waters than this is the beach for you. There is a train stop near by so it's easy to get to from town.

Fantastic beach that has loads of space and wasn't overly crowded even in August. The sea doesn't get deep too quickly so is good for kids. Lifeguards are situated in the main parts of the beach too. The beach cafe we went to was excellent too (see pics) but can't remember the name.

Schöner breiter langer Sandstrand
Es gibt dort auch Kioske und Restaurants, in denen man gut und relativ günstig essen kann.
Der Strand ist sehr flach abfallend und daher auch für Familien mit Kindern geeignet.
Für mich als Gehbehinderter sehr wichtig: Es gibt eine Menge kostenfreier Parkplätze direkt am Strand.
Der Strand ist von einer Live Guard überwacht.
Für meine Frau und mich einer der besten Strände rund um Lagos.

A very good beach where you can choose to be in a crowded or almost deserted beach, because it is at least a few Kms long. Nice calm water usually around 22-24 celsius.

Très belle plage. Propre. Sable fin. Chiringito au top. Mais le vent y est insupportable. On fini par s'en aller rapidement car le sable et le vent vous chassent
