Overall, we really enjoyed it and would go back.Hotel staff were really first rate.Wifi was a pain. Inconsistent strength and shuts off too quickly.Unfortunately, we speak only English and French so non-news shows in these languages were very limited.A suggestion would be to rotate the breakfast buffet menu.

Great location, nice big hotel with good facilities. On paper looks great, In reality both the outdoor jacuzzi and indoor sauna were broken, the outdoor pool was freezing cold and the breakfast options were repetitive with tinned fruits. No atmosphere or vibe in the hotel, all very quiet with not much going on. Rooms and hotel surroundings were clean.

Great staff and handy location in Carvoeiro centre. The rooms was clean and well sized. We went in late April so the hotel was very quiet. The outdoor pool was a good size but freezing cold so we never went swimming in it, the outdoor jacuzzi was broken too. The indoor pool was always empty but was heated to a nice temperature for our 6 month old daughter to swim in. The atmosphere in the hotel generally was quite lacking however; no music by the poolside nor the indoor pool. The lack of other guests didn't help either. The staff were very friendly and all areas were clean though, so I would recommend this hotel as a base to explore other locations, I wouldn't recommend it if you tend to stay within resorts as there is very little to do, see or keep you or young family members entertained here.

Nos decepcionó un poco. He estado en hoteles de 3 estrellas bastante mejores. La decoración muy anticuada, la habitación necesitaba una renovación profunda. El spa estaba cerrado. No tenía cafetera en la habitación. Le doy 3 estrellas porque estaba muy limpio, la habitación también, y por el desayuno, muy bueno. Sin duda, estas dos cosas son lo mejor del hotel

Hotel good but evening buffet meal on our half board basis was very poor. Food was dried up and cold. We had to tell the hotel that we would no longer be eating our evening meal in their restaurant and told them to do a spot check on the food that they were expecting us to eat. Food quality needs to greatly improve.

Beautiful hotel food good but staff a little like police on patrol style in breakfast area left me feeling uncomfortable.clean rooms maid service excellent .I received a wonderfull massage 30mins for 25euro well worth it but I should have booked an hour ,girl comes in on Wednesdays & saturdays.this hotel is one I would love to come back to .not for you if you like night clubs or drinking till the wee hours of the night relaxation all the way. Beach 5, Min walk away excellent restaurants and bars reasonable priced .lots of different nationalities and friendly people.

Very good service by all staff at this hotel...only downsides for me were poor balcony furniture and nesting bird excrement in small piles which was not cleaned away at all the time we were their.Clean hotel all the way through excellent breakfast service and very good efficient waitresses.

We got to the hotel quite late and were shown our room by the only nice receptionist on duty. The location of the hotel was good in the sense that the beach wasnt too far away and we were spoilt for choice for food. However if the reception at the hotel was more friendly, it would have made our holiday more special.

I stayed at Mirachoro with my daughter and husband for a week - in the beginning of August this year (2018). Great! From the initial email with Gisela, to enquire about an early arrival, the arrival itself, where we were greeted and checked in by Mario (who during the whole week had been such a helpful 'guide' as he had been doing a lot of the tourists' hotspots himself), throughout the whole stay and the check-out. The staff (reception (especially: Gisela & Mario), restaurant, housekeeping (especially: Tatiana & Anastasia) and masseuse (especially: Ines Cabrita)) have been very polite, helpful, understanding, welcoming and understood to keep stumm (I had booked 2-3 trips without my family's knowledge - they were surprises for both of them). A special thankyou needs to be given: INES, the masseuse. I had been in an accident weeks prior to our holiday on top of general tension. I booked 3 massages with Ines, and she is absolutely fantastic!!! You can hire beach towels for the entire stay for just €20 deposit per towel until you return them to the reception desk. The food (breakfast and dinner) is good, the swimming pool is well kept, the hotel itself is clean and tidy, as was our room. The location is fabulous - walking distance to the beach and to the boardwalk and the shopping area and lots of eateries!!! To be recommended!!!

Great central location with large car park. Good pool area with swim up bar is a nice touch. Simple relaxing hotel. I've stayed in more beautiful 4 star hotels costing more, but as value for money I'd definitely stay here again. It is also a 5 minute walk to the nearest tourist attraction Alagar Seco.

Chambre agréable . Piscine exquise. Le personnel ne sourit jamais et ne vous parle pas . Les petits déjeuners sont bons et copieux . Pour les repas du soir , c est infecte : une semaine à avoir les mêmes entrées et desserts qui de plus ne sont pas bons . 3 dîners effectués sur 7 dîners payés par avance . Nous etions 2 couples à dîner qui etions surveillés par le personnel . 20 euros le diner c est du vol ..... Pour un restaurant compté plat et dessert et boissons 16 euros et pour un snack moins de 8 euros .... Je recommande cet établissement sans la demi pension .....

Functional hotel, breakfast food is good but the dining area is very crampt. Room is comfortable but the hair dryer is a bit weak. Check-in was efficient and the staff friendly. Hotel and resort is probably designed more for young families/teenagers rather than couples looking for some quiet time. Additional €20 deposit required for pool/beach towels.

Oh dear... WiFi doesn't work. Pool is absolutely freezing so even in the middle of a scorching day no one was in the pool. Breakfast was really good but set out really badly so people are crossing back and forth, everyone getting in the way of each other and tables crammed in too close. Great location near plenty of restaurants. Rooms are comfortable. I'd recommend it as a base to explore, but not if you plan on staying on site.

Very bad service. The receptionist have no respect to the clientes and clientes guests. They hunt the client's treat them like children in kindergarten. Not allowing them visits allthough paying double rooms or Studio. The receptionists have no sense of confidenciality, insulting clientes guests saying that personas should be someone they are not. Ooh no very very bad.

The staff were lovely and welcoming, the hotel had lots to offer such as an outdoor pool, hot tub and indoor pool, however the outside pool I found it very very cold so hardly anyone was in there the entire time we stayed. if anything, I found the carvoeiro beach water to be a lot warmer. the WiFi wasn’t that great, I had to keep logging in my details and whenever I was away from my room the WiFi would automatically stop and whenever I’d lock my phone I’d have to log back in again which was quite annoying. anyway those were the only two things I found didn’t go very well for me but the rest I cannot fault. I’d recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place nearby local shops / restaurants.

This no way a 4 Star hotel. The wifi in the hotel and pool area is the worst I've ever encountered. You have to log on via Facebook/Google or Twitter which takes ages and then signal drops off and you loose the wifi connection and have to go through the whole process again. For every minute you are on wifi you are 20 minutes logging on. The other complaint is there was no English Television News Channel Sky or BBC which I found unbelievable bearing in mind 50% of visitors are English speakers. The best thing about the hotel was its position in town.

Even though the price performance ratio is pretty alright, this is definitely no hotel worth 4 stars! The lobby and breakfast area was modernised and looks pretty decent, but the first impression is rather a trap as the rooms are outdated and degenerated. The blow dryer is a joke. The curtains and the climatisation appear to be 20 years old. Nevertheless, the rooms are clean. To me, the biggest shock was the towel situation. The hotel promotes their pool area and that it‘s located close to the beach (10 minutes away from an overcrowded small beach, but others are also reachable). Still they offer no beach towels (!) and they demand 20€ for renting pool towels (a price you can buy your own ones for). In my opinion, it‘s pretty poor that guests are supposed to bring their own towels to a hotel that tries to appear „luxurious“. The breakfast is alright but not varied or fresh (i would advise you against trying the salty and artificially tasting juices). The service is grumpy and not really helpful. I do not recommend this place!

This hotel is... ok (not a 4 star hotel by any means). From the moment we arrived at check in, we asked about gluten free options for breakfast in case any advance notice was needed. We were redirected to ask at the bar, we asked at the bar they redirected us to reception, finally told to ask the next day at breakfast. The next morning at breakfast when we asked, we were told that because we did not give advance notice there was no preparation of gluten free bread and it was impossible to make gf bread with such little notice. Come to find out on the second morning that the bread was sliced bread (served cold, so if you’re celiac then you can’t use their only toaster where all the bread goes through and you have cold bread...), so a little confusing as to why it was not possible to thaw the morning before. Separately, the second morning we received an unsolicited wake up call about an hour earlier than when we planned to wake up and when we went to reception to ask about it were told that they have no idea how that could happen. These are only two examples of our stay...all in all the carelessness and missing of mall details deteriorate from the experience.

Hôtel mediocre.... Les femmes de ménages... elles ne font rien ! Elle ne nettoient pas les toilettes, ne changent pas le lit une seule fois en 5 jours (draps). Les essuis ne sont jamais changés alors que je les avaient mit au sol pour qu'on me les changent Elles ne nettoient pas le sol, leurs travail consiste à réajuster le lit, comme s'il était propre et il n'y a aucune brosse pour nettoyer les toilettes mise a disposition, sèche cheveux très bas de gamme, la porte du balcon ne se ferme pas.. possibilité de se faire voler. Personnel de l'hotel pas sympathique, personne ne dit bonjour. Nous sommes réveillés par des bruits le matin dû à une mauvaise isolation. Seul point positif le petit déjeuner est bon, malgré que nous soyons entassés comme dans une cantine, trop de monde dans un si petit espace. Plus jamais ! Les transats sont pas confortable, ni de dossier ajustable. La situation de l'hotel est très bonne, mais on en fait vite le tour en 2 soirs.

Awful staff, never experienced racial discrimination until I visited this hotel, manager “mario” was the nastiest person in I’ve ever encountered he said “I don’t care about custom service”. At that moment I gave up on the hotel. I will say dinner staff and cleaners were lovely people and made the stay slightly more pleasurable for us.

The manager “ Mario” was very disrespectful and rude to us and we believe is because we are people of colour, he told us to be quite and he didn’t care about giving us good customer service, he was very rude and had no manners, I’ve stayed at a few hotels and I have never been spoken to like that and feel like I don’t belong somewhere, I don’t not recommend this place for people of colour, the only nice people were the cleaners and the guys who work during dinner, but Apart from that the receptionist and manger were so disrespectful.

When we first arrived, staff members suggested we had not made a booking and was very condescending! She did not apologise once she had actually looked and found my booking. We had ordered a cab and was waiting however, the lady at reception sent our cab away. This happened to numerous people of my background and age group. When we reported this, the other receptionist told us he did not care and it was not his problem. We felt racially discriminated against. During breakfast no conversation was made with us by staff however, they gladly conversed and smiled with other backgrounds.

My stay here was extremely unpleasant. The staff were rude, they did not provide the necessary information about the hotel, the bed and breakfast options were limited and I overall did not feel welcome in the slightest. A lady at the reception caused issues for my friend and I by sending our cab away causing delays to our journey and our day as a whole. This hotel is a 0/5 and I would not recommend.

Staff quite friendly. Clean room every day although glasses never washed or changed. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Never an issue with sunbed, always plenty. Lots of outside seating as well although they could be better with cushions. The only downside is that it is at top of the hill.

The rooms were big but a little dirty looking. The hotel looks like it hasn’t been remodeled since the 1970s, except for the lobby which they probably remodeled to fool you. They even made us pay for a safe, which, I’ve never even heard of. I have been to Europe ten times over and sayed at over 20 hotels and never did I have to pay 30€ for something as necessary as a safe. And for that matter it’s a “key” safe, who knows who has the other keys. It doesn’t seem secure in the slightest. Also, the wifi is “free” but also terrible. You can’t even connect to it from their lobby. To be fair it is a nice location. But honestly with the attitude you get from the workers here, you can tell that they mostly only care about how many euros are in your pocket.

I think this place is best for families and older people. Even though I am a “ older people “ it just wasn’t quite right for me. They have an indoor pool it’s warm and outdoor pool it’s cold. Wi-Fi is not very good but of course you need to realize is a giant cement building that was built before anybody thought about Wi-Fi. It’s an older place and they are taking good care of it.

Lovely place, spotlessly clean. WARNING This Hotel is NOT suited to large groups - especially loud mouthed football hooligans or groups of tramps letting the Emerald Isle down badly. Retirees, families, and people coming for a rest are most welcome. It is a quiet resort with one nightclub and beautiful Restaurants. It is NOT typical Home from Home. There are NO rowdy Pubs or fish and chip shops.

On arriving to the hotel it looked pretty from the outside and the decor very appealing to the eye and clean, but unfortunately I can’t say the same about the friendliness of the staff, we found the staff to be not so friendly , some you could even describe as grumpy in fact . The room was adequate and a good size, but the beds extremely uncomfortable and back breaking!! The breakfast buffet was ok but limited and not many choices available. My biggest complaint though would have to be that after my husband and I decided to take a short trip to explore somewhere else, we returned to find that our original room which we had paid fully for, for the duration of our stay had been given to someone else, without us even checking out. When confronting the reception staff about this, they responded in a very patronising way almost speaking to us like children, and that because we wasn’t in the room they assumed and were free to give it to someone else, I don’t understand the logic behind this as you do pay for a room up front in till a certain time / check out date which therefore entitles you to come and go as you please. But unfortunately that doesn’t apply here , so be warned if wanting to take an excursion somewhere else. I would like to add I’m not normally someone who would write a review but in this instance felt I had to.

Hotel muito virado para os estrangeiros, nomeadamente ingleses. A melhorar: Pequeno almoço podia ser bastante melhor, tem muita comida artificial, a própria fruta não parecia natural e a comida em si não agradou. Pontos positivos: as acomodações são boas e o espaço do hotel é agradável. As piscinas são ótimas e o ambiente é agradável. Talvez tornar o hotel um pouco mais "português" poderia ser uma melhoria para o hotel.

Well positioned hotel, for all carveoiro has to offer. Lovely indoor pool, which was a real bonus as the outside pools was freezing cold.Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels. Only negative would be the garish colour scheme used in the communal areas which cheapened the look of the hotel, which was a shame.

Beautiful rooms with excellent beds. The breakfast was an absolute highlight. The outdoor pool is nice. Nice place to go for couples. Average age of guests seems to be 40+. Only disappointing thing was the support of the hotel in booking activities. I wouldn't rely on the information from the hotel.

L'internet ne fonctionne pas, les réceptionniste étaient très gentils mais ils ne pouvaient rien faire.

Great hotel, lovely friendly staff. It did help that it had reopened the day before we arrived so there were only four people staying there. Very clean and well appointed hotel set in a lovely location, a short walk from the town with spectacular walks along the cliffs. friendly

Las habítaciones y las instalaciones estaban muy bien. El desayuno del buffet era bastante amplio. Relación calidad - precio buena. Lo único malo es el trato que nos dio una chica de recepción tratandonos como si fuéramos todos cuando le pedimos explicaciones de porque un día a los 4 de la tarde todavía no habían limpiado la habitación.

Stayed here in October 2017 - I chose it because it offered a great rate and was based very close to the centre rather than most of the other good deals being sited way outside town. It was a nice, clean hotel - staff were friendly and helpful and the location was a huge plus - it sits about 5 minutes walk from the town square and plenty of restaurants and shops are just outside. The hotel is rated as 4 stars, which I think might be on the generous side (might have been a 4 star 15 years ago!) as the decor is very dated and my room, whilst pleasant, was verging on tatty - but would be a good 3 star rating although I think it deserves a 4 star review :)

Nice and clean, nice staff, nice food but very, very noisy. As all stone tiled flooring you can hear other guests noise all hours. Other big issue for me was, if you put a do not disturb sign up, when maids are serving the rooms, they shout to each other the whole time, again due to noise echo it's bad. Hard to rest

Die Sauberkeit des Pool war absolut nicht in Ordnung. Ich habe während unseres Aufenthaltskeinen gesehen der diesen sauber machte. Dann waren auch noch einige Hotelgäste mit denKlamotten im Pool . Personal sprach auch nicht deutsch. Den Fernseher auf deutsche Senderumzustellen tauerte geschlagene 5 Tage( Man möchte nur mal die Nachrichten sehen) Das Frühstücks-angebot war auch total einseitig. Wir haben also 8 Tage immer das gleiche gegesen.Der Transfer zum Flughafen hat überhaupt nicht funktioniert, so dass wir uns ein Taxi bestellen mussten.Beim Abflug in München mussten wir pro Gebäckstück 70 EUR zahlen, eine Unverschämtheit.MfGM.Semptner

Tres belle hotel a environ 1,5 km de carvoeiro. Belle chambre, tres beau buffet au petit dejeuner. Piscine très agréable avec jaccuzzi. Prix correct pour la prestation. Tres calme.

We have been visiting this hotel since 2008. The internal colour scheme won't be to everyone's test. But friendly staff make a difference. Great pool.

Very good, location is perfect. Very close to the beach, cliffs and good restaurants. Our room was as the pictures and as we expected. However, we found marks on our bed sheets and the air conditioning was leaking but they fixed everything as soon as we raised it. All in all a very good stay.

Todo correcto, tanto limpieza, como calidad de las instalaciones y de la habitación. Sí bien el buffet del desayuno era variado y de buena calidad, el buffet de cena a pesar del precio (15€) era bastante mediocre tanto en calidad como en variedad.

Staff very frendly and helpful bedroom cleaners done an excellent job rooms where spotless . Breakfast was beautifull a lot of choice waiters where so pleasent and helpfull. I have stayed in this hotel a few times and i find the colors on the walls are very dark and depressing , There where no life guards at the pool, are any entertainment for familys with children .I feel that you could of had a bit of entertainment in the afternoon like quizes are bingo or dancing in the bar area to bring your guests together as u have a lot of older and disabled guests who find it hard to get up the hills . This is a good hotel for couples who have no children but with a few changes ,they could make it into a first class hotel where you could bring your children and have a wounderfull holiday .

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at, it is never a 4 star in a million years. The staff are so unfriendly in fact on the borderline of being rude, never wanting to help, when I reported this to the manager he was the same. I witness somebody needing serious medical attention after slipping in the pool, there was no staff on duty who could offer first aid, the holiday maker was finally taken to hospital by ambulance. I asked reception if they could call a taxi for us, their response was " there is a pay phone over there use that". Finally, the food was extremely poor. Please serious think before booking this hotel, there are many nicer hotel in the area.

Freundliche Atmosphäre, überwiegend nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Frühstück ist sehr englisch. Wurst 1 x gekochter Schinken und 1x rote chorizowurst.. Ansonsten bohnen bacon pilze usw. Buffet wird aber sofort aufgefüllt. Tische sehr gut abgeräumt und Gänge sehr farbenfroh gestaltet. Toller Pool und eine schöne innen Spa. Parkplätze sind vorhanden. Nette Restaurants in der Nähe.

Bien situado y bastante confortable. Dispone de parking gratuito. El desayuno buffet está bastante completo y el precio (55 €/noche previa semana santa) está más que bien. Tiene una amplia piscina exterior y otra más pequeña climatizada. La pena es que no funcionaba ni la sauna ni el jacuzzi. La decoración con colores llamativos y vivos es bastante atractiva y moderna. Muy recomendable.

Cet hôtel a été rénové très récemment et semble pâtir dune réputation bâtie à une autre époque. Il est à lheure actuelle très propre, très bien tenu et le service est à la hauteur. Les déjeuners sont de bonne qualité et le stationnement est facile.

Toegankelijke hotel. 5minuten lopen van centrum. Buiten alle hectiek. Centrale ligging ten opzichte van anderen bezienswaardigheden. Uitzicht op zee. Vriendelijk personeel. Ondanks gedateerd meubilair, goed onderhouden en super Schone kamers. Kamer 235, uitzicht op zee, zwembad en horizon.

Hotel is clean, WiFi is available, but never working. Breakfast is good, but every day the same. Pools are usually cold, sauna seems to be not working/never on, as well as the indoor whirlpool. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Propretée de la chambre laisse à désirer, literie et mobilier vetuste, télévision obsoléte, seulement 5 chaines tube cathodique de 36cm, image de mauvaise qualité. Repas du soir trés peu varié, sur 1 semaine, chaques jours les memes entrées et desserts, seul le plats principaux varient légérement. Les boissons sont payantes leau y compris (1.20€ pour une bouteille de 25cl). La nuit beaucoup de bruit dans les couloirs.

Gutes Mittelklassehotel mit interessanter Farbgestaltung. Renovierungsbedarf überall sichtbar, aber nicht störend. Zimmer und Bad geräumig und gut. Leider lag unser Zimmer zum Innenhof, daher nur Ausblick auf andere Zimmer. Poolanlage ist schön gestaltet. Insgesamt ruhiges Haus. Gut zu erreichen, großer hoteleigener Parkplatz.

The hotel was ok. That's all I can give it I'm afraid. The staff were wonderful, and the rooms were clean. But we booked full board and I have to say that the food quality let it down somewhat. Food was very basic and pretty much the same every meal. The indoor pool was useful as it was still a bit chilly, but the jacuzzi didn't work properly, and the sauna had some loose timbers and control panel. The rooms did have a fridge, but could really have done with tea/coffee making facilities. Apart from that, I would recommend the place. Would go back again, but would probably do B&B only, as there are plenty of nice bars and restaurants to choose from.

Das Hotel liegt relativ nah zum Zentrum auf einer kleinen Anhöhe. Ideal um dem Rummel entgehen zu können. In der Umgebung hat es viele kleinere gute Restaurants. Caroveiro ist ein kleiner sehr schöner Ort, empfehlenswert. Im WC lief beim Ankommen die Wasserspülung. Da nach einer Stunde der Schaden noch nicht behoben worden ist, wurde uns auf unser Insistieren eine gleiches Zimmer ein Stock höher gegeben. Das Hotel ist innen sehr farbig gestrichen.

Unfreundliches Personal. Schreckliches W-Lan. Unsauber, der Zimmerboden wurde kaum gereinigt, die gesamte Anlage ist renovationsbedürftig. Insgesamt ein enttäuschender Aufenthalt. Nicht zu empfehlen, wenn man mehr Ansprüche als ein Bett und englisches Frühstück hat.

Effectivement, lhotel est bien placé. Une belle piscine, mais pour le reste...Une TV cathodique 36cm datant de mon enfance, une climatisation qui ne soufflait pas vraiment froide et qui sest arrêté a peine mise en route. La personne qui a alors traité lincident nous a accusé de laboir laisser tourné toutes la journée... Des coupures deau au plafond !!! Au final la climatisation a redémarré sans que lon ai vraiment compris ce quil nous disait. Vraiment pas correct !!Côté petit déjeuné, cest vrai que cetait copieux, mais pas vraiment de qualité et vraiment orienté côté anglais !!! Saucisse, omelette, bacon... Le jus de fruit arrive en grand bidon... Cest loin des jus dorange pressée.Enfin, pour 113€ la nuit pour cette qualité, cest vraiment excessif. Nous avons eu des chambre en 3 étoiles autour de 75€ de bien meilleure qualité et avec des services humains..

Das Hotel entspricht einem deutschen 3 Sterne Standard. Das Team war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Der Fernseher war winzig, der Badebereich im Inneren sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Grünspan im Hottub. Mängel an der Klimaanlage wurden direkt behoben. Frühstück ausreichend. Insgesamt ein gutes Hotel mit ein paar Abstrichen.

Ansprechendes Hotel in bester Lage (zahlreiche Restauarants in der Nähe, Strand 5-10Min zu Fuß). Großer Parkplatz direkt davor (zu den schönsten Stränden der Umgebung Praia Marinha und co 5-10Min Fahrt). Große, helle Zimmer mit Balkon und schönem Bad. Sauberkeit 1A.Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und lecker, das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich.Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Klare Weiterempfehlung!!

Man kann alles gut zu Fuß erreichen, ist aber trotzdem soweit außerhalb, dass es ruhig ist.Der Service und die Organisation im Hotel läßt etwas zu wünschen übrig. Das Personal ist nicht sehr freundlich, das fängt schon beim grüßen an.

Le personnel de la réception est très désagréable. La barmaid de la piscine est vraiment antipathique et réclame quand elle doit aller chercher une bouteille au bar principal de lhôtel.... Par contre les 2 jeunes filles du petit déjeuner sont vraiment très servaibles et souriantes.

Le personnel ne parlait pas français. Le buffet était bon mais peu varié et répétitif, pas de plats à thème et les desserts très basiques. Il y avait beaucoup de gelée, mais pas de glace ! Le sauna était en panne ainsi que les 2 instruments de gym. Sinon rien à dire sur la propreté. Regret que le bar ferme à minuit.
