The hotel in general was fine the staff are friendly and helpful! It's the fact that it is heavily used buy French people who are very rude, there is no clubs four customers apart from one run by French who would not let us joining with an any of their activities, talked about our group giving a bad vibe to the hotel, it's definitely not 4 star hotel more like a poor 3, the food wasn't that good but we never went hungry, We went all inclusive but was told when we got there that we had to pay for named brand spirits and shots, we mot be going back!

No llega el agua caliente a la ducha. Las bebidas de alcohol baja calidad en el todo incluido. Mal olor en la habitación. No hablan en español. Colchones muy duros de muelle. Muy poca variedad en las comidas (muchos dulce y siempre los mismos) Instalaciones buenas. NO SE CORRESPONDE CON UN 4 ESTRELLAS.

Not a hotel for the British. Predominantly French occupied which isn't an issue except Jet2 who recommend it are never there but the French tour company are there 247 and give a great service. There is no kids club except one operated by and for the French tour company. The food is bad. Believe all the reviews on TripAdvisor. The cleanliness of the hotel is good. The maids are amazing. Our sink was faulty and it was fixed immediately. The rooms are spacious and give you what you need. Use Uber not the local taxis as they're much cheaper and they are usually English speaking and give you a free local tour guide. Don't go in early April as the weather is grim and places are only just starting to reopen. Take a swimming hat to use in the indoor pool otherwise its 4EUR each for a hideous grey latex one from reception. The staff try hard here and if they appear 'off' with you then it's because of the language barrier. Google translate helps you and if you can, try asking in French. There is no games room here so make sure you pack entertainment for the kids if the weathers no good. Read all the TripAdvisor reviews on the food, they are not lying. Overall it has a cold and unfriendly atmosphere here. Evening entertainment is like a street busker and in a tiny room. I would not recommend this as a family hotel and definitely not all inclusive. Jet2 really should remove this hotel from their list.

Super atraente em todos os aspectos, eu já frequente por gosto, nem procuro outro sítio, pois nada me falta ao redor do mesmo, estive agora e voltarei em Junho se Deus assim o permitir! Eu recomendo!

Belles et amples chambres, tout confort, toilettes propres, serviettes impeccables, personnel à 99% serviable, aimable, attentionné, on mange très bien avec un choix très large, piscine bien entretenue et agréable, surtout pour ceux et celles qui aiment la piscine et aller à la plage qui n'est qu'à 10 à 20 minutes à pied (le choix des plages est large) par contre Portimão est à qqs kilomètres mais il y a soit le bus à 7mn de l'hôtel pour 1,5€/soit des taxis entre 6 et 7 € le voyage

Rooms very nice and well equipped that's about it. Paid all inclusive but only been able to eat 2 meals in 5 days awful. Staff ignorant and if your not over 70 forget it. Lesson learned.French only welcomed and all old and hostile and rude.

Staff friendly. Apartments AMAZING. Food fine, just go go with it...it's ok. Very FRENCH orientated, but friendly enough if you are with them. All in all, good value and a great week. Beach beautiful. Area is clean and prices are cheap. Would come back again.

Room was good but felt a bit isolated not really the hotel we were led to believe, not a mainly adults hotel and it's geared up for French tourist.

Bom ambiente, confortável, jacuzzi novo, restaurante e bar ótimos e próximo da praia.

Hotel a 5 minutos de la playa andando, muy limpio, buena atención del personal tanto de la limpieza, recepción y buffet. Desayuno buffet muy completo, quizás lo mejor. Comida y cena algo repetitivas pero está bien, merece la pena ir con todo incluido pues incluye bebidas durante todo el día (refrescos, cerveza, agua), hay un pequeño buffet donde puedes picar algo fuera del horario de comidas y cenas (va variando según el día). Parque infantil, dos piscinas exteriores, piscina climatizada y jacuzzi. Apartamento amplio, con terraza (con suerte con vistas al mar). Animación (aquagym, zumba, bodystep) y por la noche también hay animaciones, ponen música, hay bingo, bailes... Las únicas pegas son que el personal no habla muy bien español y la zona no tiene tiendas de souvenirs (están en la Praia da Rocha y en Alvor, que en coche están cerca igualmente). Buenas playas cercanas, muy bonitas. Supermercados en coche cercanos, también están cerca andando otros como Spar y Coviran, aunque con precios más elevados. En conclusión, merece la pena la estancia en este hotel.

4 gwiazdki to zdecydowanie za dużo. Posiłki mało urozmaicone, śniadania tragedia! 2 windy z czego jedna wyłączona, druga często się zacina. Animacje 1/10, tylko w języku francuskim, reszta gości się nie liczy...? Na duży plus czystość w pokojach, panie z serwisu bardzo miłe.

Hello all! This is a lovely place, lovely food and nice people. The most disappointing thing is that we speak in english/ we are hungarians/. Since the hotel crew found out they dont talk to us. Anytime when we asked something there was no answer. We feel absolutely outsiders, I mean you really cannot talk to aybody. So if you can speak in portuguese or french this is your hotel. Be aware, they dont really want to talk to you if you are english or english speaker. This is a 4 star hotel and we had different expectations!!!!! But at least the beaches are close and the people inthe local shops are helpful. :/

Wieczorem warto się wybrać w stronę "centrum " życie nocne, pasaż, stragany, sklepiki , około 4 km. Po kolacji na w sam raz .Ogółem raczej wyprawa w ten rejon dla osób 40lat z dużym plus. Choć się może mylę? Ja mam 42l. I raczej bym nie polecił moim znajomym. Ale to moje zdanie! Hotel 4 gwiazdkowy to lekka przesada!!! Przereklamowany! ? ☆☆☆.Pozdrawiam. ⛱

O quarto do hotel apesar de pequeno tá muito bem conseguido a nível de espaço e decoração, varanda grande e agradável com vista para o mar. Atendimento prestável, bufet podia ter melhores opções, pecsina exterior pequena tendo em conta que tem de ser partilhada por vários blocos de apart hotel, pecsina interior e jacuzzi agradável. Hotel muito frequentado mais por franceses. Bastante perto da praia do vau.

Este hotel é um espetáculo as refeições são do melhor tudo muito fresquinho os empregados todos simpatiquissimos muito educados a limpeza dos quartos sempre 5* animação à noite no bar ou na piscina.a praia do VAU fica 500metros do hotel podemos ir a pé e tem a praia da Rocha também perto. eu aconselho fui em fim de Maio estava 20 graus quando chegamos depois foi aumentado até 26 .Obrigado a todos por estas maravilhosas férias.

Perfecto. Cerca de la playa, pero tranquilo. Tiene todo lo que se necesita. Piscina climatizada, jacuzzi, parque infantil, piscina adultos e infantil. El desayuno Buffet es genial, muy completo y el hotel es muy confortable y completo. Los apartamentos son espacioso, más bien grandes, y todo muy recomendable. Repetiría siempre.

OTOCZENIE HOTELU: Bardzo pusto, mało życia i cywilizacji. Dwa sklepy monopolowe, kilka restauracji i lokalna kawiarnia. Do plaży vau 5 minut drogi pieszo, do plaży da Rocha 30 minut drogi pieszo - gdzie tętni życie, jest dużo sklepów i ludzi. Natomiast najbliższe otoczenie hotelu interpass vau jest zaniedbane. HOTEL: Hotel nastawiony na francuskich i portugalskich gości. W hotelu przeważają osoby starsze, w podeszłym wieku (przynajmniej tak jest w czerwcu). OBSŁUGA HOTELU: pracownicy na recepcji wydają się mili, sympatyczni oraz są uśmiechnięci. Pracownicy w barze, jak i w restauracji, komunikatywni, uśmiechnięci, optymistyczni. POKOJE: Bardzo duże i przestronne pokoje, które mnie zadziwiły. Co prawda meble nie są najnowsze, jednak wszystko wygląda dosyć estetycznie. Dostęp do telewizora w pokoju (około 100 kanałów, albo nawet i więcej - w tym 1 polski), internet w pokoju, sprawnie działająca klimatyzacja, aneks kuchenny, widok na ocean. Do minusów zaliczam niedziałającą suszarkę do włosów. JEDZENIE I PICIE: po późnym przyjeździe do hotelu, zastaliśmy kolacje przygotowaną w pokoju. Jedzenie dobre, różnorodne, po bulion - który jeszcze był letni, aż po kurczaka z ryżem, kiełbasą. Dodatkowo chleb, chipsy i butelka wody 500 ml na osobę. Jeśli chodzi o picie w barze, zawiodłem się. Mały wybór soków: pomarańczowy oraz ananasowy oraz Coca-Cola, Sprite i Fanta - oczywiście jakieś lokalne podróbki. Dodatkowo soki są rozcieńczane z wodą, aby było ich więcej. Posiłki w restuaracji - skromne, mały wybór, ale z głodu nie umrzesz. Nie zawsze smaczne. Różnie z tym bywa. Raz pyszny kurczak curry, a z drugiej strony gumowate mięso. Jeśli chodzi o soki w restauracji - loteria. Na przykładzie soku z automatu, raz jest pyszny, raz bardzo mocno rozcieńczony wodą, a raz była sytuacja,  że sok był sfermentowany. Do plusów można zaliczyć maszynę do robiena naleśników, albo maszynę, która wyciska owoce i robi świeżo wyciskany sok. ANIMACJE: w teorii dookoła wszędzie pełno animatorów, a z drugiej strony w ciągu dnia nic się nie dzieje. Dopiero na wieczór są animacje, ale prowadzone tylko w języku francuskim, jednak animatorzy są otwarci na inne narody. INNE INFORMACJE: hotel posiada basen wewnątrz i basen na zewnątrz, jacuzzi oraz brodzik dla dzieci. Baseny są średniej wielkości, żeby nie powiedzieć, że małe. Natomiast baseny praktycznie cały czas są puste, tak samo leżaki (nie wiem jak to wygląda w sezonie). Reasumując hotel jest dobrą bazą wypadową.

Overall, my family and I had a brilliant stay in the VauHotel. We felt greatly accommodated by all of the hard-working staff, as the rooms were of a great standard, equipped to all of our needs and more with a kitchenette and a standard bathroom. The beds were slightly uncomfortable to begin with, but I gradually got used to it. The general cleanliness of the rooms were great too, with the maids house-keeping each room every day. However, I did experience a slight problem with insects coming in to the room via the walls: my only criticism on the room itself besides the slightly uncomfortable beds. The food was of a brilliant standard too, as I could really tell the chefs took pride in their work, as the hotel provided a complete variety of food choices in all three courses (we stayed all-inclusive). A favourite of mine was the pancake machine at breakfast time! A recurring mention in the reviews I have noticed is the fact that the hotel is mainly accommodated by the French. This is correct. At first, my family and I were the only English people, yet the number of the people of our nationality staying gradually increased over time. For me, I did not mind the fact there were loads of French, as eventually we got used to them like they got used to us. Some of them were sombre to begin with, but they weren’t offensive in their ways. They let you happily get on with what you wanted to do without any disruptions. When the incredibly large group of them left, I have to admit I missed them, as I began to speak with some of them with the ‘pigeon-phrases’ of French I had in my memory. I noticed they were gracious by the fact that I attempted to speak to them in their own language! The hotel is equipped with two outdoor swimming pools, one of them being for children, the other being a standard pool. Both pools were very well kept and clean. There is also an indoor pool area, which from a glance looked very nice, as there is a jacuzzi there too. The only thing that put me off from the indoor pool was the fact that in order to enter to the indoor pool you had to purchase a swimming hat, costing €4, as well as the chipped paint on the bottom of the indoor pool. Outside next to the pool, there are more than enough sun beds and seating areas, with the bar outside providing you select drinks free of charge (if you have the all-inclusive package). In conclusion, I thought the hotel was great! The building had great refurbishments, as it is very welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. It is brilliant for a nice relax, as the hotel is situated in a perfect, hidden spot in Praia do Vau. It is a five minute walk away from a fantastic, large beach that isn’t too busy. My family and I enjoyed visiting the places nearby (with the car we rented: something I strongly suggest doing), which included Portimão, Sagres, Silves, Lagos, Lagoa, the Monchique mountain range and Loulé.

Visited on holiday last year with the family. The atmosphere was really lively, staff were great. However the food is definitely catered towards its French guests with limited to none vegetarian options available for some family members. For that reason alone I definitely wouldn't stay all inclusive again. But the hotel itself is very local to beaches and Portimao, so great for nearby amenities.

Mais uma vez cá estamos neste simpático hotel. Recentemente há 2 anos foi feita uma renovação e acrescento no espaço relva exterior. Mas... Tecnicamente é um projecto que deixa muito a desejar. Tenho pena. Pois sendo eu coproprietario e projectista nunca aprovará um projecto destes.

Appartement très correct. Restaurant très limite: peu de diversité dans les plats déjà bien simples. Toujours les mêmes entrées.... . Le petit déjeuner est malgré tout sympa. Il manque de tout évidence du budget pour diversifier les menus mais aussi les améliorer ( frites, pâtes, riz.... Très moyen pour un 4 étoiles). Attention, ce n est pas un vrai all inclusive: le choix est très très très limité. Les collations sont une catastrophe. Pas de communication avec le personnel ( même pas un bonjour) hormis avec les 2 animatrices qui ont, elles, à leur niveau peu de moyens matériels pour faire leur boulot. Piscine trop petite. Endroit sympa si vous recherchez la tranquillité. Prévoyez une location de voiture pour les excursions (175€ assurance comprise,) pour 4 jours. Le tour de Portimão est rapidement fait. En général, sommes très déçus du rapport qualité prix.

Séjour en couple du 12/07 au 19/07 all inclusive. Opérateur Top of Travel au top !!! Hôtel composé de studios spacieux et très bien entretenus (propreté impeccable, changement de serviettes régulièrement et mises à dispo de serviettes pour piscines). Les repas sont sous forme de buffet varié, il y en a pour tous les goûts. Le personnel de l'hôtel ainsi que les animatrices/animateurs sont très souriants, accueillants et sont à votre disposition si besoin. La plage est à 5 minutes à pied (sable fin et océan magnifique) !!! Excursion à Lagos/Cap St Vincent : à découvrir. L'excursion à Alcalar + dégustation de vins au top !!! Un séjour qui s'est très bien passé et dont on garde de très bons souvenirs. A refaire !!!

Petit hôtel essentiellement avec des touristes français ou portugais les chambres(plutôt des appartements) sont spacieuses et le ménage est fait tous les jours ainsi que le changement de serviettes Buffet simple mais bon et varié L animation est sympathique pas prise de tête pour des vacances agréables A choisir preferez la 1/2 pension plutôt que le tout inclus car les alcools sont de médiocre qualité et il ya tout pour cuisiner dans l appartement

Fuyez la chambre 104! Un bruit de ventilation très bruyant rendant impossible l'accès sur le balcon et portez des boules dans les oreilles la nuit! Aucun effort de la part du personnel pour changer de chambre...dommage! Endroit bien situé, idéal pour vacances tranquilles..

Bemmmm..... Simpáticos os funcionários, higiene muito boa, quartos em excelente estado de conservação. Perto da praia. Mas, perde qualidade nos lanches ou chamados snacks,fraca variedade.(iogurtes, queijo, fiambre, pão(centeio), uns queques e maquina de cafe, leite, chocolate. Pequeno almoço: pão de centeio, ovos mexidos, fiambre, queijo o básico nada de especial. Almoços e jantares, e com buffet de pouca variedade mas gostosa. Espaço muito apertado e com cadeiras muito pesadas forradas em veludo. Animação muito muito fraco. Para criancas nada e ha noite teve uns shows de dancas de salão, guitarristas, e magia, este ultimo o melhor sem dúvida. Este hotel e bom para quem não quer confusão nenhuma. Ideal para faixas etárias mais avançadas. Bom para férias de rotina

Well I am still here on a week's vacation with my 3 children aged 12, 10 and 4. The area is lovely and we have really been enjoying our stay, the hotel is nice, the food is nice but we have felt really segregated by the majority of the staff at the hotel (the odd one excluded like the receptionist(s) and one or two of the bar/restaurant staff). The entertainment staff have made us feel very uncomfortable during our stay as they are more geared to the French and only when I complained did they try to include my children which ended up in an embarrassing rude moment making my son especially quite embarrassed. I would highly recommend the area as it is a lovely place but unless your french avoid this hotel like the plague.

Aparthotel com uma relação preço qualidade muito interessante. Com restaurante self service com muita variedade. Piscina de água quente e jacuzzi. Muito próximo da Praia do Vau e também da Praia da Rocha. Bons restaurantes quer na praia da rocha quer em Portimão. Vários supermercados e Centros Comerciais.

Just spent 11 days here. Hotel absolutely fine. Plenty of choice at all mealtimes (stayed all inclusive). Staff pleasant & helpful. Had an apartment which was enormous for just the two of us. Beautifully clean & comfortable, very well equipped. Only criticism was the fact we were the only Brits staying there. Should not have been an issue but all other guests French and not friendly French! Very bad mannered in the dining room. No chance to join in any activities as the activity team were also French & would not include us despite my husband's best efforts. He managed one game of boules after insisting he knew the rules but was not invited again. Shame really as everything else fine. Resort very sparse but only a short walk to Praia da Rocha. If you can, hire a car, lots of beautiful places nearby.

Três sacos deixados à guarda do Vauhotel, depois de alguém honesto os ter encontrado no passeio, rececionados pelo Sr. Eugénio do VauHotel, que pelo telefone confirmou connosco (donos dos sacos), que eram 2 sacos com muita roupa (nova e muito gira) e 1 com géneros alimentares não perecíveis, que estes se encontravam lá e à sua guarda. Alguns telefonemas posteriores para combinar o levantamento dos mesmos, sempre com a confirmação que estavam guardados. A transportadora dirigiu-se 3 vezes ao local sem os conseguir levantar. Falei posteriormente com a Governanta que me disse que os tinha posto para o lixo.!!!!!?????

Très bon hôtel restaurant pour les vacances. À 5 min de la plage. C'était un immeuble reconverti du coup les chambre correspondent à un appartement. Top! Équipe d'animation super sympa. Personnel gentil et compétent. Excellent pour les francophones.

Hotel ma bardzo dobre lokalizacje 6 minut od plaży w spokojnej okolicy, z wyższych pięter widać ocean. Kuchnia jest bardzo smaczna i regionalna, a obsługa hotelu jest miła i kontaktowa w języku angielskim. Great hotel with good food, staff and localisation.

Não estou no hotel estou num edifício próximo mas considerando o nível e a quantidade de ruído das "animações" constantes,( manhã, tarde e noite) nem penso sequer em alguma vez me hospedar lá.

É um espaço muito agradável, colaboradores simpáticos e ótimo serviço buffet.

Tudo bom excepto o facto de nenhuma das piscinas ter escada com degraus normais. São todas verticais e quem tem mais idade ou menos mobilidade não consegue usar as piscinas.

Considero mais uma vez como positiva.

Pessoal simpático, renovado recentemente os apartamentos estão com boa qualidade, piscinas exteriores muito apetecíveis, cort de ténis e algumas actividades de diversão São o motivo pelo qual gostei do Vau Hotel.

Très jolie région , les paysages sont magnifiques et les restaurants sont pas cher et surtout on y mange très bien. Les Portugais sont aussi très sympa .

The place is badly needing a redecorate! Really badly. The food was very limited to say the least and not great quality! We went all inclusive which is the biggest mistake ever!! Complete rip off don't do it!! When we went was completely dead which wasn't a bad thing I.muat add (Early Oct). Some staff were very moody and we tried to speed as little time in there as possible which cost us a lot more then we intended. Wouldn't go bk!

Excelente apartamento hotel! Boas condições associadas a um bom atendimento, apartamentos bem equipados e muito limpos. Pequeno almoço excelente e jantar agradável. Recomendo especialmente a sócios do clube interpass.

O conforto dos quartos é bom. Os funcionários atenciosos. As piscinas são pequenas, então de tarde... A comida é boa, mas o pequeno-almoço podia ser mais variado.
