You can't check in after 8 pm, so if your arriving in faro airport after 6 pm find somewhere else to stay, son of a beach hostel has a later check in!

Really great hostel! Met lots of nice people and really loved how nice the employees were. The rooms, however, weren’t the best but thats not important :) Definitely recommended

An sich ein super Hostel, die Besitzer sind super freundlich und helfen gern bei Fragen zur Stadt, es gibt eine Küche, Bettzeug und Handtücher sind inbegriffen und es ist alles sauber. Die Lage ist auch Top, da es sich direkt im Zentrum befindet. Man muss auch dazu wissen, dass es in Albufeira je nach Zeitraum viele Trinktouristen gibt und auch im Hostel ab und zu mal getrunken wird (nur in der Gemeinschaftsküche), aber sowas ist ja völlig normal in einem Hostel von daher auch nicht schlimm. Das Frühstück ist auch sehr zu empfehlen (nicht im Preis inbegriffen, aber günstig)! Der Bananenmilchshake war der Oberhammer und des Rührei etc. auch wirklich hervorragend! (Ich hatte noch nie so einen guten Bananenmilchshake, echt klasse!) Den einzigen Punkt den ich leider abziehen muss ist für die Pizza... Ich hatte die Pizza von der Karte bestellt (6,50 Euro) und eine kleine aber selbst gemacht Pizza erwartet. Ich hab jedoch die günstigste Tiefkühlpizza bekommen die es zu kaufen gibt (keine Dr. Oetker oder Wagner o.ä.) und ja es war eine da ich in meinem Leben schon viele TkP's gegessen habe. Das ist wirklich schade da es super einfach ist eine Pizza schnell selbst zu belegen, auch wenns der Fertigteig ist, aber eine Tiefkühlpizza geht leider garnicht. Ansonsten ein echt gutes Hostel!

Nicely situated but very noisy because close to the bars street, very dirty, seems to be rarely cleaned, cooking area dirty and too small for the whole hostel, no napkins in the kitchen so people were cleaning the floor with the dish washing sponge. One room is next to the kitchen where loud people play drinking games. Toilets and showers are dirty as well, there are ants in the toilets. I’m happy to leave the place.

great location (can be really noisy tho), view on the city and on a bit of sea, nice small terrace upstairs. BUT, this hostel is not well cleaned up, equipped and not at all charming. Even if the room was ok and clean, the showers weren't cleaned on mornings still with hairs and dirty footprints. The toilets were disgusting, dirty footprints everywhere, ants in a toilet and again not cleaned up at all ! The kitchen was dirty aswell. The cooking area was too small for the whole hostel as the fridge, too small too. The kitchen floor was always dirty and they weren't any wipes to be able to clean it. No napkins either in the kitchen or in the bathroom. They weren't any sticker to write your name on the food, so be prepared to be steeled. Would not recommend it AT ALL !

Nos gustó mucho el hostel. Está en el centro de todo, cerca de la playa de los pescadores. Para quien es joven y desea estar en el medio de la noche es óptima ubicación

Negócio familiar, acolhedor e seguro. Staff super simpático e atencioso, ambiente limpo e arrumado. Preço razoavelmente alto mas justo face à localização e altura do ano. Foto do pequeno almoço no hostel, recomendo.

Par où commencer , La directrice de l'hôtel qui a été très désagréable en plus de ne pas être accueillante. Le manque de place évident , le fait que les lits en hauteur ne soit pas contre le mur et qu'il n'y est pas de barrière (donc risque de tomber ) .Les canalisations malodorantes , le fait qu'il n'y ai pas de lumière ni de clé dans les toilettes .Ou peut être le fait que l'on ai aucun rangement et que l'on ai besoin de payer si l'on s s'asseoit sur un lit non utiliser ? En bref je ne recommande nullement cet hôtel bien au contraire ,je le déconseillerais même aux groupes notamment.

Not too big, just right and with an amazing atmosphere. The family who runs the hostel are very friendly and caring.

Very friendly family-run hostel. The rooms, showers and bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. Right in the heart of the town walking distance from the main square - it's perfectly located as it's close to the beach and local bars, restaurants and shops. There's also a small balcony in the kitchen which overlooks the town (wish I'd taken some photos!). They also have a cafe as part of the hostel which serves incredible breakfast. My only criticism is that there's no air con, but this wasn't an issue with the balcony window open. I would highly recommend here.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and nice, well equipped community kitchen and a lovely café that was unfortunately closed over winter.

Tolles Hostel mit super nettem Betreiber.

De lady / owner was extremely helpful and nice... unfortunately the city is extremely loud and busy which is not the hostels' fault. The showers were small but water was nice and hot. I couldn't store my rather large bicycle [actually a recumbent trike] inside and was to worried to stay more then one night leaving it locked in the street.

* DÉCONSEILLE FORTEMENT* Nous avons failli nous retrouver à la rue!! J’écris rarement de commentaire négatifs mais là, je suis obligée. Le premier contact que j'ai eu avec le manager de cette auberge était très froid. En effet, j'avais un problème de gps pour trouver l'endroit, je lui ai décrit l'emplacement (rue, pharmacie...)ou je me trouvais, le manager me répond sèchement "je ne sais pas ou vous êtes, vous devez vous débrouiller par vous même". Finalement j'étais a 100 m et j'ai pu trouver grâce aux personnes dans la rue. Nous avions réservé une chambre pour deux depuis plusieurs mois. Je suis arrivée avant 20h (comme indiqué dans leur règlement) mais mon copain a eu des problèmes avec son bus qui l'amenait à Albufeira. Il est arrivé vers 20h20. Le manager a refusé de nous enregistrer tous les deux parce que mon copain n’était pas présent. Il nous a proposé deux choses: - soit je paye tout et dans ce cas j'aurai été la seule à accéder à la chambre dormir dans la chambre pendant la semaine. - soit on revenait le lendemain avec mon copain (et on passait une nuit dehors) et on payait la nuit qu'on pas obtenu + les 6 jours restants. Ce que je finis par accepter après 15 minutes de négociation. Ils auraient pu nous proposer de nous enregistrer le lendemain, sachant qu'on avait une réservation de 7 jours. 10 min après être sortie je reçois une annulation de notre réservation entière. Lorsque que je rappelle le manager pour avoir plus d'info ce dernier me dit qu'il a des microphones et caméras et qu'il aurait entendu que je l'avais insulté. J'ai effectivement dit des injures face à la situation mais pas envers lui. Je ne conseille vraiment pas cette établissement, car si vous avez le moindre soucis et que vous leur en informé, ils ne vous feront pas cadeaux, quitte à vous laisser à la rue.

Para comenzar, el Hostel no tiene una recepción dentro del edificio, sino que esta contigua a una cafeteria. Básicamente, son escaleras y cuartos. No hay salas comunes, no anda el wifi, la cocina no es cómoda y las habitaciones son pequeñas sin cortinas divisorias. Por otro lado, las camas eran incómodas y sin espacio para enchufar el celular. De más está decir que los baños eran horribles, muy chicos y sucios. No lo recomiendo.

Absolutely amazing hostel. Spotless Clean quite family run hostel strickt but completely fair rules for guests that make the stay in a calm and relaxing atmosphere memorable. Amazing rooftop terrace for a glass of wine and watching the sun set over the town. Cafe in the reception serves breakfast, snacks coffee and pizza to rival any of downtown cafes at half the price.

Ich hab eine Nacht dort übernachtet. Die Besitzer sind sehr zuvorkommend (sprechen sogar fließend Deutsch). Die Zimmer sind vielleicht nicht besonders groß, aber ich habe dort sehr gut geschlafen, konnte warm duschen. Unter den Betten gab es auch noch Zweithandtücher und -decken (im Preis inbegriffen).

Best hostel in Portugal, great owner!!!! Loc ation impossible to beat. They have a small cafe downstairs with food. All bars walking distance. We had a blast!!!!! and will be back. Cal from Florida will hopefully come as well. He missed the flight back to Germany as well:) see u again

Very friendly staff, total cleanness, good mood and comfort. The view from the terrace is wonderful. The kitchen and common places are fully equipped. We enjoyed every minutes of our rest.

The hotel is in a great location, with friendly staff. Very reasonable price, has all the basics. Aircon wasn't great, but it exists, so not all too bad.

Hostel muito bem localizado, fica a uma quadra da rua principal da cidade velha que é onde a noite bomba e também fica perto da praia. O hostel é bem equipado e bem limpo e a dona (Fátima) é uma queridona, muito simpática e o tempo todo numa boa pra ajudar a galera.

Great location, rooms are very tidy. The bottom bunks are too low to sit up in. You check in at the coffee shop next door (which took me a good couple minutes to figure out)

DO NOT STAY THERE!!!! Worst hostel I have ever stayed due to the owner being a horrible unfriendly nasty lady! Worst travel experience ever!
