After two attempts to eat here we realised the only way to do so was to book. The food and service were both excellent and we would all recommend it.

Our favourite place to eat on this visit , returned on a second night we were so impressed. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff . Sit outside if you can but need to book .
We ate the warm goats cheese starter which is the best goats cheese dish I have ever eaten , followed by the pork cheek ,...delicious.
Already looking forward to our return to Tavira and Aquasul.

Fijne bediening en ruime keuze uit verantwoorde gerechten. Bezoek op dinsdagavond en bijna alle tafels waren gereserveerd.

Em tempos referência em Tavira pela inovação e autenticidade, perdeu paixão sendo actualmente um pouco mais do mesmo...
Apesar de sempre lotado, parece viver dos créditos acumulados, tendo actualmente uma carta modesta em ideias e opções virada para agradar à muita clientela britânica, holandesa e alemã. Preços muito inflacionados relativamente á qualidade dos ingredientes apresentados. Refeição para duas pessoas sem entradas com vinhos 64€. Serviço muito simpático e descontraído e bom ambiente. Retomem a paixão e a classificação subirá.

Aquasul was recommenced by our apartment host and it did not disappoint. Having been traveling through Spain for some time, Aquasul’s menu was much to our tastes with stews and curries on the menu.
We were lucky enough to jag a table for 4 however I would recommend booking a table in advance just to be sure.
The goat cheese entree was spectacular as we’re all the dishes we had.

Not surprised this restaurant is always full with people waiting to try and get in
The food is unbelievable
I started with beetroot carpaccio with goats cheese - light and refreshing
The main was pork cheeks with mash - fantastic creamy mash with melt in the mouth pork - it was a joy to eat
Lovely friendly staff as well x

Schönes Restaurant in der Altstadt von Tavira. Die Besitzerin ist Stefanie, eine gebürtige Niederländerin. Sie bot schon vor Jahren vegtarische Gerichte an - in einer Zeit, in der es das in ganz Tavira nirgends gab. Wir sind Stammgäste, wenn wir in der Algarve sind. Unser Sohn mochte auch schon als kleiner Knirps den Blick auf den Pizzaofen.... Wir können das Aquasul nur empfehlen. Tipp: Frühzeitig reservieren im Sommer.

Amazing food, very tasty, well presented, lovely decor, wide choice on menu, we had the goats cheese in filo pastry to start followed by the vegetarian lasagne, large portions we didn't manage to finish, could definitely share the starter or enough to have as a main course. Very busy in the summer so you will need to book.

Great food. Excellent service. Warm goats cheese in a salad to start, followed by duck breast and finished off with cardamom panacotta. Superb.

Schönes Restaurant mit sehr gutem Service, die Qualität des Essens ist unbestritten gut, jedoch die Zubereitung eher gewöhnlich bis gewöhnungsbedürftig, mit Pizza hat die dort angebotene italienische Spezialität nur wenig zu tun, dazu ist das Restaurant für die Region völlig überteuert, für mich deutlich überwertet.

Frequentato per lo più da inglesi e svedesi....notoriamente non conoscono il cibo buono!!! Locale piccolissimo e naturalmente bisogna prenotare con sufficiente anticipo

Eten goed bediening matig, we zaten op de tocht naast de deur en/ of de deur van het drank hok. Vaste gasten werden vriendelijk te woord gestaan in tegenstelling tot de nieuwe gasten. De prijzen waren behoorlijk.

Apesar de casa cheia, pessoal muito simpático e atento, após sermos recebidos e indicarmos que tínhamos uma criança pequena ainda de cadeirinha, arranjaram a melhor mesa para acolher a bebé com segurança. A comida estava toda muito boa, a pizza das melhores que já comi em forno a lenha com cogumelos com sensação acabados de apanhar, a sangria, com frutos silvestres, morangos amoras, mirtilo, etc, estava... de beber mais se não fosse a condução e a bebé. Sobremesas com sabores muito genuinos. Café bom e o espaço bem decorado. Preços bons para a qualidade e todo o atendimento. Definitivamente voltarei assim que possível.

Wir hatten Ziegenkäse, Lachs und Salat mit Shrimps als Vorspeisen. Alle drei Gerichte waren hervorragend zubereitet. Für den Hauptgang entschieden wir uns für Seebrasse, Steak und Entenbrust. Die Steaks waren genau auf die gewünschten Gargrade medium und medium rare zubereitet. Der Fisch und die Entenbrust waren sehr lecker. Zum Essen hatten wir Weißwein. Den Sauvignon Blanc können wir besonderes empfehlen. Das Ambiente ist draußen in einer engen Gasse sehr romantisch. Auf jeden Fall reservieren.

Need to book, ask for an outside table too. This is well cooked and presented food at an affordable price. It cost us 49 euro for two for meal we would expect to pay double or treble that for in the Uk. We picked from the specials board so the Prawn Curry and Salmon dishes may not be available at all times. They do have a well thought out menu that seems to cater for all tastes. The service is first class and well organised among the melee of customers trying to get in.

Great atmosphere and good food at Tavira city center!
Although inside deco is cool, try to book outside during summer.
We ate goat cheese salad, codfish salad, moqueca camarão and dourada in papillotte.

I can't understand the rave reviews. The service was perhaps the worst I've had in over a decade, the food served (unintentionally) cold and poorly prepared, and the menu confused at best. Horrible. Simply horrible.

Reservar antes de ir, o pedir si hay hueco en alguna hora. Tienen clientes de sobra y te tienes que interesar por buscar el hueco. La Pizza, muy buena, el sitio pequeño, se come mejor dentro.

We hadden speciaal gereserveerd voor een mooie avond eten, maar de reservering was op een andere avond gezet terwijl we de avond ervoor hadden gereserveerd. Heel jammer. We hadden ons er enorm op verheugd. Wel een tafeltje buiten, maar daar was het te koud voor. Dikke afknapper. Avondje toch wel een beetje verpest.
Hadden al gesproken om met een grote groep van 25 man in september te komen eten. Maar dat laten nu niet doorgaan. Niet betrouwbaar en een gemiste kans.

One of the best restaurants i hav ever been. The gout cheese sald and vigtable sald must have. The lasagna is something else. I really recommend it but you should have a reservation.

The Aperol Spritz was so so but the food was top notch. Vegetarian burguer with citric mayo on couscous and vegetables. Really enjoyable.
The apple crumble was very good also.
From what I see around, the service is a bit chaotic, but it's Friday night and they're full... And I confess that my food came swiftly.

Apesar de ser um pouco mais caro, vale bem a pena o dinheiro. A comida é excepcional , o atendimento descontraído, o ambiente agradável (pelo menos de verão). Toda a rua onde o restaurante está inserido tem qualquer coisa de especial. Vale a pena visitar.
