A mix of an attempt to be a fine dining restaurant and a super noisy environment with poor service. The food is good, but I don’t think it’s at the level expected in such restaurant - quite far from it. We could barely hear the waitress due to the super loud environment, which took us completely away from an eventual fine dining experience. Also, such restaurant should not try to sell overpriced cocktails over and over again. It’s a super rude way to approach the customer 2-3 times throughout the dinner. All staff seems to be super busy with no specific care for customers. The girl at the counter was particularly rude telling us we had not asked for our jackets, even though we actually had. The food is ok, but considering the overall experience, is way overpriced.

Comida asiática bem diferente. $$$$$

Food is ok (not great), service is poor. There is some inconsistency on what the restaurant is trying to be. On one side you have a person just opening the door and handing you over to the person handling your requests. On the other end you have a very loud and noisy environment with waiters which are trying to upsell drinks and water all the time and which you can barely hear because of the loud environment. Then when we were leaving the girl handling our payments was in a very poor mood, complaining about not hearing us asking for our jackets (even though we nicely asked). Overall if this restaurant is trying to be more on the fine dining experience, it needs to improve the noise levels inside and have people who actually understand they are there to feel their customers welcome. Otherwise it just better to make it less “fancy” and more casual (maybe slightly cheaper as well).

Nothing special. Food is presented nicely but the taste is rather unspectacular. The atmosphere is not very warm.

We walked by the place and decided to get in for a drink and a snack which apparently was a good decision. Everyone were very friendly and the food was great. I gave the place only 4 stars because I think the menu can use some more dishes (the variety is not that....) but the one they have is really creative. Bottom line if you are looking for a nice cocktail and some food with it you got to the right place.

Restaurant chic aux plats asiatiques revisités. Les plats sont bons et travaillés. Au final l addition est un peu élevée pour Lisbonne mais la cuisine y est vraiment différente et le cadre et le service se paient.

The only good things were the tuna ceviche and the Pisco Sour. Everything else tasted awful, just weird sour flavours, no spicyness etc. Small menu. Especially avoid the dumplings, they fry them and put them in an awful soup, making it completely soggy, with an awful filling. I almost spat it out and now I’m worried about my stomach. The high ratings are mind boggling, emperors new clothes.

Ci siamo finiti per caso, ma è stata una bellissima scoperta! Particolarissimo locale, l'ingresso tradisce le aspettative, ma una volta superata la tenda che separa l'ingresso dalla sala si è immarsi in un ambiente rilassante, moderno e accogliente. L'interno si unisce perfettamente ad un piccolo giardino minimal con illuminazione soffusa ma sufficiente, tutto è pensato per godersi l'esperienza culinaria che a mio avviso è stata sorprendente. Pochi ma selezionatissimi piatti, ricercati ed elegantemente elaborati divisi in "cold" e "hot" dove un mix di sapori fanno di questo locale un luogo speciale che non assomiglia nemmeno lontanamente alle aspettative di una cucina asiatica. Insomma, se capitate a Barrio Alto non perdetevelo, un p0' caro, ma ne vale la pena!

I am shocked that this place has such good reviews....everything was awful! Pretty basic tacky interior - trying to be “high-end” and luxurious; the staff were pushy and obnoxious and the food was genuinely awful...We tried to go to A Cevicheria but sadly the waiting list was too long so we were told to try Chef Kiko’s other restaurant a few doors down (this one - Asiatico). Having looked at the exterior, we thought it looked a bit pretentious but hey why not give it a go. Once inside the staff were weirdly trying to refer to everything as an “experience” and no tap water was allowed (only small bottles!). We were then brought some bread baskets, which contained some poppadoms and overpowering butters/dips and apparently we have to pay 2.85 euros per person for the privilege even though we never asked for them but still we took it in or stride. We then ordered the food, during which, we were shouted at by the waitress that we had to order the cold dishes before the hot and in the order she wanted...super weird...the food arrives in tapas style, apart from the tuna ceviche (which was fine), it was all absolutely terrible - the flavours were all wrong, not complimentary of each other, over-powering or too boring etc....genuinely all 5 of us couldn’t stop laughing. We decided we didn’t want to eat any more and so tried to cancel the last dish before it was cooked, the waitress said this was indeed possible but that she didn’t think we had eaten enough food and so we should have a cigarette to try and settle our stomach so we could eat the last dish.. we all laughed at her but she was deadly serious...so despite trying several times to cancel it, we had to have the last dish and apparently take up smoking! Luckily, they didn’t charge service charge but you do have to pay for the bill on your way out Nando’s style! This is just an abbreviated review as it is not worth the effort to describe the whole charade but anyone who went here and said the food is good, clearly has an extremely basic pallet and enjoys wasting money... avoid this place like the plague!

Das Essen ist wirklich ein Erlebnis, Fantastisch zubereitet, ein Highlight war ein Gericht mit Tatar und Austernschaum, spitze! Der Manager vom Restaurant war besonders aufmerksam und flexibel, wir waren mit dem Kinderwagen und er hat uns einen schönen und bequemen Platz gegeben. Preisleistungsverhältnis ist top! Service war sehr aufmerksam, Ganzes Personal mit sehr guter Englischkentnisse!

Alors là quelle surprise ! J'ai l'habitude de manger de la cuisine asiatique, et je parle pas des sushis et autres fast-foods, mais bien de restaurant asiatique de qualité. Mais celui-ci, lève le spectacle à un tout autre niveau. J'ai été émerveillé par les plats, que ce soit la douceur de la viande de wagyu qui fond en bouche ou le katsudon revisité avec son tonkatsu de porc en cube et son riz au différentes épices... Le meilleur, et plus original, katsudon que j'aie mangé jusqu'à aujourd'hui. Je regrette qu'une chose, ne pas les avoir pris en photo pour partager avec vous... Mais je me rattrape sur les desserts, que je vous laisse admirer et sur lequel je ne dirai pas grand chose, si ce n'est que lorsque vous pensez avoir atteint un palier, vous êtes propulsés encore plus haut, dans le plaisir. Évidemment cela à un coût, mais plus que mérité.

Food: they have one vegetarian option. One. And the chefs aren’t accommodating to make any modifications to cater if you’re vegetarian. My husband tried other options here though and you would think that if the chef doesn’t want to modify, may be what they’re serving is great, but no. While the Korean crepe was decent, the Thai rice with pork tantatsu was terrible. The cocktail — namastea was unbearingly sweet. We spent 100 euros between the two of us which is quite expensive for Lisbon. And for the kind of food we got, I would say please please skip this place.

The restaurant is really pretty! Over priced for the portion size and the taste is below average. Wouldn’t really recommended the place but maybe other dishes on the menu taste better. The only good thing was the dessert and the drinks. They got bread and dip for the table without us ordering it he said it was complementary however we were charged for it. The staff is friendly but food wasn’t worth it!

Very average experience. Place looks nice. Cocktails look exciting but end up being flat. Food is well presented but taste is more than average (we had the king prawn Pad thai, the octopus Risotto, and lamb satay ... none interesting or tasty!). Service was nice and polite but lack experience and were not helpful. They should focus less on presentation and more on offering good food/cocktails. We will not return or recommend.

Delicious Asian food - for the location, ambiance and service, I’d say the slightly higher price is worth it. Don’t be fooled by the small appearance of the front, there’s a beautiful and romantic garden towards the back with a high glass ceiling. Really nice for a date night!

Amazing find on the last night of the trip. Don't let the front fool you there's a beautiful, spacious and nicely lit area in the back. The food was excellent, staff were warm and the cocktails delicious. Try the mango cocktail.

The good: really cool and unique, good cocktails, the Laos ceviche was great The bad: the pad Thai was not good, the salmon roe and dried tuna gave it an unpleasant fishy flavour. The green curry was ok but not great, the rice that accompanied it did not match well at all, Thai curries require a stickier and more plain rice in my opinion. The almost raw cherry tomatoes did not match well with the curry at all. The ugly: they bring you a basket of flat bread which is mediocre to be frank. They do this at every table whether you order it or not. Then they proceed to charge you for it. That’s deceptive and ridiculous. Overall I would not recommend this place, they’re trying too hard to be unique and are missing the basics.

Wenn man nur was trinkt und nicht isst, muss man 5,70€ deckungsgebühren zahlen und das Personal war nicht gerade erfreut als sie von uns erfahren haben das wir nur 2 cocktails (je. 11.50€) trinken wollen. Dementsprechend wurden wir auch behandelt.

Si vous souhaitez voyager en asie alors ce n'est pas ici qu'il faut manger. La nourriture est malheureusement trop portugaise, le riz sauté été ressemblant à tous les restaurants chinois des années 90 qui on inondé l'Europe avec des produits bas de gamme. Le service était très bien.

It is a very good place. More than one occasion we walked in without any reservation, and they were kind enough to accommodate us. The food is gorgeous, the deserts wonderful, the staff very nice! Highly recommend it!

Comida de qualidade seleccionada, excelente glamour..

This is a marvellous restaurant that comprises the flavours of Asia mixed with local ingredients from Portugal. It looks a million dollars when you walk through the door, dressed in subtle colours that evoke the spirit of Asia. The menu is split into cold and hot dishes. This is the perfect way to sample this food, and all this was explained in detail by the brilliant waiting staff. They made the dining visit feel comfortable and familiar. My friend and I were there for lunch and shared everything. From the cold menu we went for scallops sashimi with codium, pear and tosazu sauce and the Laos' Ceviche - tuna, coconut, tapioca pearls and kaffir lime. These were filled with different tastes and felt like they were the product of a highly skilled chef. They looked great too. Then for hot courses, we decided to step away from the seafood theme and try the Korean roast beef with kimchi mashed broccoli and bimis and the Thai rice with suckling pig, as both sounded like they would deliver a big punch pf flavour. And they did. Just divine. The waiting staff helped us to choose dessert and we opted for dark chocolate and wasabi cake with yuzu ice cream and red berries and coconut cake with curry cream, lychees, spicy mango and yogurt ice cream. It was inevitable that we would be fighting for the last forkful of each! I recommend O Asiático to anyone in the city looking for good food and excellent service. Try it!

Como o nome indica comida Asiática :D. A fusão entre os vários sabores é muito boa! As "ostras" e os falsos niguiris de carapau muito bons.

De tudo o que foi provado sobressaiu a ausência de sabores fortes. Provou-se o ceviche, o rosbife coreano e o yakitori de polvo. Tudo bom. Das sobremesas escolhemos o chocolate e wasabi e o sticky rice. Do wasabi esperava-se mais intensidade já o sticky rice não agradou embora os restantes componentes fossem interessantes. A lista de vinhos é pequena e muito internacional com preços puxadotes. Serviço com nota suficiente +. Pagou-se 32€ por cabeça fora o vinho. Satisfeita a curiosidade não há grande interesse em voltar.

En nuestra experiencia el personal fue inconstante, con un buen principio al explicar el primer plato, pero estropeó la experiencia al empezar a servir los siguientes platos con prisa y sin dar ninguna explicación. Sur les 4 restau du chef Kiko Martins, je n’en ai essayé que 2 : A Cevicheria et O Asiatico. Des expériences incroyables, avec des plats d’une grande finesse. Un service très pro. Un décor moderne et réussi. A signaler la sangria maison de O Asiatico originale et délicieuse. Seul bémol : ne pas prendre trop de plats, cela pourrait gâcher le plaisir !

“Asiático do Príncipe Real” . Duas abordagens distintas: a) Há uma nova geração de restaurantes asiáticos em Lisboa, sejam eles chineses regionais, ou genericamente “asiáticos” e este é um deles. b) O Asiático, é o prolongamento natural da “Comer o Mundo” do Kiko Martins e António Barros, um regresso à génese, às viagens e às descobertas. As duas abordagens merecem exploração, e Lisboa merece e dispõe de condições para acolher ambos. A grande verdade, é que Filipinas, Malásia, Indonésia, Suriname, Vietname são tudo territórios desconhecidos. Afloramos levemente em Lisboa a Tailândia, conhecemos métodos altamente sistematizados (mas não tão dignificantes) da China, Japão e Índia. . Às vezes as entradas mandam-se para trás...outras vezes não. Paparis e uma chapata hiper fina (quase tão fina como o papari, distinguindo-se quase mais pelo sabor e cor que outra coisa, acompanhadas de uma manteiga com Togarashi e do outro lado uma gema de ovo (pensem em ovos moles enquanto textura, mas sem o açúcar), envolta em molho de soja. O problema é o mesmo dos amendoins. Um nigiri de carapau (Obrigado Paulo), em que o arroz...não o é. Uma brincadeira, um pequeno aperitivo, com um suspiro, que sabe a arroz que sabe a vinagre e a sal, mas que é crocante. As ostras. Yin e Yang, poderia lá ser outra coisa. A paisagem de mar bem arranjada, a ostra sob a forma de espuma, que esconde um segredo bem carnudo por baixo. A piada, vem sobre a forma de uma folha dita de “ostra”. De pesquisa posterior, aparentemente chama-se Mertensia maritima...e tem sabor a ostra. Em folhas. Uma conversa bastante interessante sobre: se não me tivessem dito que sabia a ostra, saberia a ostra? A prova de um guião muito bem treinado, um ensaio muito bem conseguido. Salada de lavagante. Agora falamos. Som Tam (ou Som Tom ou Som Tum, decidam-se na vogal!). Nunca passa pela cabeça de alguém no ocidente utilizar fruta verde. Especialmente fruta dita tropical. Desejamos a maior quantidade de açúcar, embora isso quase possa indicar podridão. Nunca haverá manga e papaia verdes, desfiadas em pequenas farripas, uma juliana fina, com frutos secos torrados, algum mas pouco molho e uma (mas pouca, aqui é servida exagerada) proteína por cima. Isto é Ásia. Da séria. O Aroma do arroz. Foi fácil, enquanto houve o Carolino e o Agulha. Quando chegaram o vaporizado e o Basmati, a malta ainda se foi entendendo. Mas quando se chega aos Kokuho, Calrose, Thai jasmine, Mochi gome ou Patna, a coisa complica-se. O arroz veio da Ásia e são eles que o exploram melhor. Sendo que uma das melhores formas, será sempre Sticky rice (food stalls, ler mais por baixo). Aqui servem um. Com leitão (que também é comido por lá, com pele crocante e tudo). Podia ter mais sabor? Sim. Mais açúcar e mais sal. Será necessário? Penso que não. É equilibrado e adaptado aos nossos paladares, traduzindo-se num prato agradável, com reminiscências à origem. Tapioca e Galanga. Ao contrário dos acima descritos, as sobremesas asiáticas são menos variadas (genericamente falando) do que as nossas. Este exercício é muito bom. Galanga é uma alternativa ao gengibre, menos adstringente, tapioca é a mãe de todas as gomas existentes. Emparelhar com abóbora e pera, traz simultaneamente as texturas e a frescura necessárias para se tudo se conjugue. Este repete-se facilmente. . Esta casa transporta-nos visualmente para o outro lado do mundo, logo no acesso, com as cores quentes, os materiais naturais, repetidos em padrões, com os clichés de estatuária e dos padrões a facilitarem a entrada nesse mundo. É incrível a facilidade (aparente), com que este grupo cria novos conceitos e os consegue potenciar através do charme das suas instalações. Tudo parece apropriado, especialmente a casais, que de facto se vêem mas não só. Dividem espaço com grupos de amigos e com famílias, num espaço que esteve cheio, sem ter noção se rodou. . We left the restaurant since they do not offer vegetarian food on their menu. Its actually a nice place, a little posh but nice. The service was friendly. Food is expensive.

Loved the food. Very well plated and super tasty. Not giving 5 stars just because they didn't change the plate between the different dishes. Usually I don't mind it but all the dishes we ordered had some kind of stock that would have messed up the next dish. I we asked to change plates though and they changed them gladly.

Portuguese / Vietnamese fusion restaurant by Chef Kiko. Very big restaurant, but manages to have a fantastic vibe. Great service and excellent wine menu. The food is very good, but this is the weakest of the Kiko restaurants in Lisbon.

Great deception! Our first time (at the opening) was great but second time recently was really disappointing! It was good but way too expensive for the taste and prestation. It was less nice and delicate, less sophisticated also. One dish was even not special nor nicest than in any chineses cheap restaurant, maybe even worst. We will not come back and do not recommend.

Born out of Chef Kiko's culinary trip in Asia, O Asiatico is a beautiful restaurant with a small Asian menu crossing the entire continent, from Nepal to Japan. The vast dining area is set under a glass ceiling and has big windows opening to a wonderful open-air terrace featuring a fireplace. Reservations accepted only for lunchtime but you can happily wait at the superb bar, a cocktail in hand.

Everything about this place is awesome. From the decor to the staff to the food. Especially the food. The menu is unique yet small and not pretencious. One of our fav meals on this vacation yet!

This is a great place for a quick meal. It has a decent selection of authentic Chinese dishes, and some Sushi. The food is tasty and inexpensive. I had a very satisfying dinner last night and would like to come back. The service was nice too. My only complain is that the pan-fried broccoli was a little too salty for me since I have very sensitive taste buds and prefer food light on salt. Overall, I highly recommend this eatery.

Começando pelo espaço, confesso que a entrada não faz jus á decoração fabulosa e extremamente confortável do interior. A espécie de jardim de inverno é perfeito para almoços em dias soalheiros de inverno. Fomos muito bem recebidos e a pessoa que estava encarregue de nos conduzir pela experiência desempenhou essa tarefa na perfeição. Os pratos são deliciosos e rebuscados, alguns deles podem desafiar paladares mais conservadores, mas na verdade é disso mesmo que esta experiência se trata. A carta de vinhos é muito reduzida, e por isso mesmo optamos pela sangria que nos foi aconselhada e que provou ser uma óptima escolha para o nosso almoço relaxado de domingo. A experiência foi fantástica e aconselho vivamente. Como última nota: se repararem na ementa à porta do restaurante ou noutro local qualquer vão ver que os pratos principais rondam os 13 euros, no entanto são aconselhados a pedir entre tres a quatro pratos por cada duas pessoas (o que realmente faz sentido) ou seja a média excluindo bebidas será mais ou menos 25/30 por pessoa.

Local atual. Recomendo a visita em ocasião especial. É normal que encontre uma ou outra figura pública que seja de sua estima. Funcionários dedicados. Espaço gourmet. Espaço cosmopolita, adaptado para a noite, com uma mesanine que serve de bar para quem espera, pátio interior ao ar livre e uma bela sala para refeições. Pratos diversificados com influências recolhidas no Laos, Japão, Índia, China, Tailândia, etc... Carta de vinhos reduzida. Serviço jovem, atento e simpático. Preço muito elevado. Recomendo o foie grass com beringela, vitela com tapioca e de sobremesa o caril verde, a acompanhar com a sangria de lichies e malagueta. Embora todos os outros pratos permitem saborear com prazer, a exceção foi a floresta negra, que me decepcionou tanto pelo batismo como pelos sabores encontrados.
