Este lugar é o céu da comida. E esta avaliação é feita pelo comum dos mortais, com simplicidade e sinceridade. Também faz falta, achamos nós humildemente. Mal entramos não conseguimos desviar o olhar curioso da cozinha, onde se vê o olhar concentrado de todos, como se estivessem, por exemplo, a restaurar um quadro famoso ou a fazer uma cirurgia muito delicada e perigosa. Sente-se um misto de “ok, estou prestes a provar uma obra prima” com “isto é algo para ser levado muito a sério!”. Resultado: endireitamos logo as costas e lá vamos nós elegantemente esperar por uma sala sumptuosa onde invariavelmente vamos fazer má figura por desconhecimento da etiqueta. Nada mais longe da verdade. Mesas e cadeiras estilo IKEA, ou minimalista, que soa melhor, deixam-nos logo à vontade. Uma senhora sorridente ataca-nos imediatamente com a graciosidade de alguém que treinou muito, para nos explicar que nos vai acompanhar durante a experiência. Aí poderia instalar-se novamente o medo, não se desse o caso de ela ser mesmo muito calma e sorridente. O que se segue não consigo colocar por palavras. Vão chegando obras primas à mesa, que ela explica com muitas palavras que não fazem parte do meu vocabulário e que sabem a comida confeccionada pelos deuses em loiça imaculada com formas (quase) voluptuosas. O que se seguiu foi um festim de sabores e prazer, que eu não saberia descrever de qual das formas. Por isso destaco as três coisas que me fizeram ver o mundo com outros olhos. (1) o gazpacho / sumo de tomate translúcido, algo mágico para os olhos e para a boca; (2) o pão, tão simples, tão bom, tão básico, tão perfeito; (3) o pombo, que provei pela primeira vez na minha vida e... que perfeição!... não há palavras que descrevam o que senti. Se calhar há, mas não vêm ao caso.

Probably the best tasting menu I’ve ever had the privilege to partake of. Savour every morsel, allowing the symphony of tastes, aromas, textures and flavours to transport you to an ecstatic place. The service was faultless and the wines were superb. Congratulations to the chefs and wait staff.

They serve innovative high-quality dishes that are modern, yet inspired by local tradition. The service is impeccable, with attention to even little details. For portuguese standards, the prices are on the more expensive side of things. But you can find an option for a range of budgets, and it is definitely worth it.

Incredible personal service by a passionate team and sommelier. The head chef, sous-chefs and line cooks are truly avant-guard. One of a kind experience with eight perfectly sized works of art. We selected the 3 course petite option and they worked with our preferences and dislikes coming out with delicious surprises and actually 8 courses all together. There’s nothing like Epur.

Expérience gastronomique inoubliable avec un gazpacho étonnant et une suite de mets délicieux. Seul bémol les serviettes qui sentent un peu trop la lessive et l'agneau pas assez cuit et la polenta trop salée. Tous les plats de la mer étaient sublimes et les desserts aussi. Merci au chef ! Les serveurs étaient impeccables et accueillants.

I had a vegetarian tasting menu at epur recently — easily a five star experience and likely one of the better fine dining experiences in Lisbon. It was comparable to the two Michelin Star places I’ve been to, and in the same ball park as restaurants on the worlds 50 best (maybe in the realm of 50-100 for now, as a newer restaurant with some potential room for improvement). Service was fantastic, the food was executed very well and there were some interesting and unique components and combinations. There was a bit of overlap between dishes on the vegetarian tasting menu, but overall it was excellent with quite a few standout dishes. One of the desserts was the only dish that didn’t really work for me, and my wife thought it was the best dessert she’s had this year... If you are looking for a Michelin style world class meal in Lisbon, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Epur.

Epur easily ranks as one of my all-time favorite dining experiences. The tasting menu was amazing from the first appetizer to the last dessert. The wines, all of which were from various regions of Portugal, paired excellently with the food and exposed me to wines that I may not have thought to try. The staff did a great job of explaining dishes, accommodating dietary restrictions, and maintaining an element of surprise in each dish, all while providing an elegant, yet light and friendly atmosphere that seemed to coincide well with the theme of the restaurant. The interior of Epur provided a carefully laid out, modern feel that was both comfortable and spacious at the same time. Additionally, the views were spectacular, as the restaurant overlooks both water and some of Lisbon's more well-known monuments.

A wonderful location with a beautiful view. The tasting menu features unique flavors and the wine pairings match these perfectly. The service is top-notch as well!

Restaurante con 1 Estrella Michelin que no defraudará a toda aquella persona que decida almorzar o cenar aquí. Hemos pedido un menú degustación de 6 elementos acompañado de una botella de champán y hemos podido verificar que la Estrella Michelin de la que se le hizo entrega es totalmente merecida. En el ámbito estrictamente culinario os aseguramos una explosión de sabores, que, unidos al trato que se le da al producto os hará percibir sensaciones en el paladar extraordinariamente exquisitas. El servicio y trato al cliente es muy exclusivo y profesionalizado, a la altura que se espera de un restaurante de alta cocina. El Chef Vincent Farges y su gran equipo crean una armonía que desemboca un producto único y excelente. Para terminar, he de resaltar cómo no podía ser de otra manera, la ubicación de este gran restaurante, con unas vistas al mar y a las colinas pobladas tan típicas de Lisboa que hacen de este restaurante un lugar de ensueño.

Espectacular comida y atención de un restaurante con una estrella Michelin. El restaurante está ubicado en una colina con unas vistas que son una maravilla. Desde que llegas te das cuenta que serás sorprendido. La cocina está en la entrada(toda blanca), y se ve increíble, todos los chefs trabajando de una forma que sorprende. Una vez que entras te reciben y te sientan en una sala de espera de lo más nice en donde tienen su cava de vinos y te ofrecen algo de tomar. Con la mesa lista pasas a un cuarto y oh sorpresa, la vista te va a encantar. El menú es simple de elegir: 3, 4, 5, o 6 tiempos y lo puedes pedir con el maridaje que recomiendan. Mi esposa eligió 3 tiempos y yo 4. El vino que me recomendaron es de Portugal(solo tienen vino del país), y fue una excelente elección. Todos los tiempos(platillos) perfectamente presentados y especialmente cocinados. Un verdadero lujo. Si están en Lisboa no duden en hacer reservación para EPUR. En nuestro caso mi esposa eligió 3 tiempos.

Fantastic meal and service at this restaurant. While tasting menu and wine pairing is quite delicious, I have to say that the atmosphere is quite formal and sterile. The servers have a routine and can not divert or so it seems. Very stiff interaction when asking questions about the food or wine. Tasting menu, aka moments, included several tiny beginnings and then a series of mains with fish, venison, duck. I added a menu pic so you can see the lineup. One of my favorites was the mackaral, pheasant and fois gras, Red snapper w oyster, and Venison. There was a desert as well paired with tawny port. All delicious. Food was top notch, without a doubt. But overall experience unusually stiff.

We went for lunch and they have a lunch menu that is amazing value for money. €35 for 2 courses, wine, water and coffee, very impressive value for money. Great food, great view and simple decor. It was a Michalin meal without all the pretentious stuff! Beautiful wooden tables, tiled walls and the food...amazing.

Painstakingly prepared food with carefully selected ingredients and young, passionate staff striving for perfection. My most lasting impression, interestingly, is of the fine, distinct wines served to pair with the food and the well-versed sommelier whose enthusiasm for his wines was contagious. Deep regrets for not having taken photos of the wines!

Good food but very slow and unrefined service. 3 course lunch took over 2.5 hours. Had to ask 4 different staff for the check. Overall it’s a good lunch deal at €35 but not really worth it.

Best one star restaurant in Portugal, even better than some of the two stars, this restaurant deserve Michelin two stars. They have Petit Appétit menu, don’t have to be very full after a big tasting menu, the pairing wine was amazing as well. I made my reservation in the same day through the fork, super fast and easy. Ambience 5, food 5, service 5.

Ambiente refinado, equipe profissional, simpática e prestativa. Pratos equilibrados, sofisticados, sabores intensos, ingredientes frescos e sabores incríveis.

A quantidade ínfima servida nos pratos é indigna, muito mais tendo em conta o seu preço elevado. Não há nouvelle cuisine que justifique tal exiguidade! O serviço é sem duvida de excelência, o local e a vista são excelentes. As instalações do restaurante não são merecedoras de grandes referências.

My fiance and I came here on a visit to Lisbon expecting a nice evening - we were not disappointed. The setting is clean, minimalist, and sharp. The staff greeted us upon arrival and took care of our every need without being invasive or hovering. We had the 8 moments tasting menu with wine pairing. The wine pairing was worth the extra cost and the sommelier did a fantastic job choosing Portuguese wines that brought out every nuance of flavor in the dishes we were served (they kindly emailed me the wine pairings after the meal for my reference). The restaurant also included 3-4 additional amuse-bouche dishes throughout the meal which did not disappoint. Some of our favorite dishes were the pigeon and the pre-dessert. The house baked breads were crisp on the outside and soft inside. Surprisingly, the gluten free bread was our favorite and tasted better than any gluten free product I have ever tried. We would certainly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking a premium dinner experience. The quality and quantity of the food served was outstanding and the majority of ingredients are locally sourced. Thank you for an amazing meal and experience!

Estava curioso visitar este restaurante que abriu à cerca de um ano. As espectativas não ficaram defraudadas. Ótimo espaço com uma das melhores vistas da cidade, serviço de qualidade e com bons conhecimentos técnicos. Quanto à comida, da responsabilidade do chef Vincent Farges, consegue surpreender a cada prato que chega à mesa. Muito aconselhável. Preços de acordo ao que é apresentado. Boa escolha de vinhos a acompanhar cada prato.

Everything about Epur was absolutely amazing and this restaurant will have a Michelin star in no time. The service is impeccable, the food was the best we’ve had, the ambiance was relaxed with incredible views of Lisbon. The sommelier is a stand out! Worth every $$$. Having dined at former #1 restaurant in the world, Eleven Madison Park, Epur is significantly better on every level.
