Sancho is our favorite restaurant in Lisbon. I wrote a review 3 years ago about how great the waiters were. When we walked in last night, they recognized us immediately, and treated us like family. After 3 years.
Warm, inviting, with great food. We splurged on the Lobster this time and it did not disappoint. For the people complaining about the price of Lobster, I mean, what do you expect when ordering Lobster at a fairly fancy restaurant? It was delicious.
This is one of the best places we’ve ever been. Hands down.

This restaurant has a warm atmosphere a offers a wide range of dishes. We had delicious bacalau and sea bass with a food white wine. The staff is very kind.

An absolute gem of a place. We found it after a search near our hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly, they like a joke! The menu seems basic on first viewing but the food was sublime, we had roast pork and asked for a wine to accompany it. The combination could not have been better. The fresh fish looked great too, brought to other diners and filleted at the table, wonderful. George really looked after us and we will return if we can on our short stay in Lisbon. Fully recommended for Portuguese cuisine.

Nice meal of fish and meat. Waiters were nice and explained what to do with food. The meat was a bit too salty for me but that could just be personal taste.

So so food. The waiter keep wanting to sell fish to us - we had enough of fish. Got a bottle.of wine and it is cheap wine brand "EA" of $5 usd from pringo. I would expect the wine to be.of minimal standard and something from supermarket. Not coming back again. Service is good thou.

In diesem Restaurant haben wir den ersten Abend in Lissabon verbracht. Es war fabelhaft. Man sucht sich den frischen Fisch direkt von einem Angebotstablett aus. Dann wird er köstlich zubereitet. Wir waren begeistert. Dazu gab es einen portugiesischen Wein, der sehr gut zu diesem Abend passte. Wir sind lange geblieben und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Restaurant ist unser Tipp, für den nächsten Besuch!

FANTASTIC Portuguese cuisine!
We came here as it was recommended by locals, and really enjoyed it. It is always refreshing to see that service is handled by experienced staff! Food is supper fresh, literally fresh, and done with love and tradition. They were generous with small treats that were served to our table, including dessert wine at the end. Fish dishes are a specialty but the steak was as great!

הגענו לכאן בעקבות המלצה של המקומיים, ומאוד נהנינו. תמיד מרענן לראות שהשירות מנוהל על ידי צוות מנוסה! האוכל טרי, דגים טריים , והכל נעשה באהבה ובמסורת. הם היו נדיבים עם פינוקים קטנים שהוגשו לשולחן שלנו, כולל יין קינוח בסוף. מנות דגים הן מומחיות ועדיין- הסטייק היה נהדר!

Very disappointing. Waiter forgot our soup and didn't write our order down. Bought the wrong main course as well. The wine had the vork on it. Shame

Ottimo ristorante , non turistico . Risotto ai frutti di mare e zuppa di mare molto buoni . Servizio tradizionale e impeccabile a un prezzo giusto. Una curiosità .le bottiglie ( acqua e vino ) non sono sul tavolo ma lontani e i bicchieri vengono serviti non appena si svuotano. Consiglio

I only gave it five stars because there isn't a sixth. Wonderful simplistic Portuguese food. Just simple grilled fish a few potatoes and some green beans but as a meal could not be bettered anywhere, accompanied by a perfect and reasonably priced wine recommendation from the excellent but extremely amusing and witty waiter. So nice we returned the next day and the ladies who both had sea bream the previous evening and declared it wonderful said the second day was somehow even nicer. As for me I had Grouper, something I have not had for a few years and it was done to perfection. A gem of a place

A sugestão do garçom foi camarão grelhado com arroz. O prato consistia em 6 camarões pequenos grelhados com bacon e arroz. Um prato totalmente sem graça, seco, mal servido. Uma experiência para não repetir.

Decent prices. I had the sea bass. It was a little dry, but the flavor was really nice. The steaks look really good! Big selection of wine, but only 1 beer on tap. I would definitely like to go back and try some different dishes.

Nunca na minha vida fui tão mal servida, não recomendo o Sancho a ninguém. Fiz reserva de uma mesa na Feira da Vinha e do Vinho de Anadia 2017 para 11 pessoas para as 20.30 a comida chegou à mesa duas horas depois, é após muitos reclamações, ao ponto de termos de ir ao balcão nos mesmos buscar bebida para trazer à mesa. Quando finalmente chegou a comida veio comida suficiente para 4 pessoas. Não por falta de profissionalismo dos funcionários mas pela falta de organização da gestão. Todas as mesas cheias, pessoas em fila de espera, demasiadas reclamações e funcionários exaustos com a sobrecarga de trabalho e reclamação dos clientes.

Our favorite place so far in Europe. Amazing staff, awesome food, just the best. If you are feeling unwelcome and underwhelmed on vacation this place will turn that around quick. Wish I got our waiters name... He was awesome. Kid friendly too. Love it!

A pesar del buen servicio me pareció exorbitante el valor de una langosta en 104 euros. La langosta mas cara que yo jamás he visto. Lo peor nada especial, servida apenas acompañada de un arroz blanco sin verduras. Los postres bastante regulares. No lo recomiendo.
