Restaurante tradicional no coração de Alfama, atendimento sensacional e com preços muito bons, porém tem que fazer reserva, pois está quase sempre cheio de clientes

We visited the place for the fado and it was great. It was our first time in a tasca and it felt good just as we had expected. We only had some drinks that were not overpriced, especially if you take into account that they don't charge any entrance.

Awful awful place. Do not go here. Disgusting food. Over priced. And incredibly rude staff. The owner/waiter seemed annoyed constantly, from when we walked in to hassling us to order within 10 seconds of recieving the menus. Half the menu was unavailable - which he made it seem like our fault. Finally, the bill didn't even add up and was priced too expensive for what we even ordered... We simply wanted to get the hell out of there so left without contesting. Worst experience on our entire holiday.... The fado was pretty poor too.

Nice music but the food.. ordered the famous bacalau (the only other choice was beef steak) and arrived after 2 minutes. Ehm.. how is it possible? Not good at all, sorry for that!

The Fado was truly excellent, it must be the Fado singer's favorite a lot of guest audience singer's. Only had the flaming sausage for food.

De vrai bar de Fado, dans son jus et sa sueur. Sans fioritures attrape touriste. Si on ne sait pas que c'est la, on ne le trouve pas. Bonne nourriture compte tenu du prix. pas de chichi non plus, il vaut mieux aimer la nourriture populaire. C'est toutefois bien meilleur que la plupart des restaurants "chics" de la ville et très bon marché. Un vrai beau moment, pour de vrais anecdotes

Un diez. Si lo que quieres es ir a un sitio típico de fados y que tu cartera no se resienta, este es tu sitio ideal.
El menú es limitado y no muy elaborado, pero típico y rico. Cantan fados en directo, muy bien por cierto, y el ambiente es familiar y animado. Recomendado ir sobre las 19:30 para reservar mesa ya que es pequeño y se llena rápido.
Media 15€ por persona sin quedarnos con hambre y bebiendo vino.

DONT GO THERE TO EAT!!! maximum you can eat salsiccia(the light fire for you on the bar) or ham with cheese and olives.
The green wine we tasted was good.
The service is really rude!

The only thing worse than the (overpriced) food and drinks was the service, which is extremely rude and blunt - as you can easily find in other reviews. The one positive thing is that it's one of the cheapest places to see a traditional Fado show while in Alfama.

비수기라 그런지 다른 리뷰와 달리 자리는 반정도 차있었고요
처음 파두공연을 듣는데 들을만했습니다.
주문은 10유로 이상으로 시켜야 한다더군요
음료 맛은 별로였지만 나름 즐겼습니다.
사람이 많을때 한번 더오고 싶습니다.

You have to order not less than 10euros
Drink was not so goodb but i like this place

Lugar incrível para se ouvir um bom fado, comer um maravilhoso chorizo português, um delicioso caldo verde e para finalizar um imperdível arroz doce. Não se assuste com o jeito grosseiro dos garçons e do proprietário, vá preparado para isso, e aproveite para curtir uma excelente tasca portuguesa ao som de talentosos cantores de fado. Gostei demais

Disseram nos para esperar até às 20h eram 19h. E. Depois quando chegou às 20h disseram que estava cheio. Melhor marcarem lugar para jantar porque pode encher de 1 segundo para o outro.

Li poso dues estrelles pels fados, però per cap altra cosa. No hi tornaria. La cambrera que ens va atendre era molt antipàtica, malhumorada i esquerpa. Vam passar fred perquè van tenir la porta oberta durant tota la vetllada. La carta és molt limitada. Vam menjar sopa i bacallà, i era correcte. La resta de plats eren tapes.

I typically don't review places, but this one was extraordinarily bad. We had heard great things about this place, but faced a really rude host and terrible food. We showed up at 8:20 with the place empty, yet the host was annoyed we didn't have a reservation. Like what? The place is empty! a few tables were reserved, but the rest were empty. And they stayed empty for an hour longer. And then he was angry when we ordered one dish (they are not a proper restaurant so we ate before). The Fado was fine, but the experience was terrible. Overall, worst experience in 5 weeks of traveling in Portugal.

Refeição barata mas de muita fraca qualidade. O que salva o espaço, além do nome e da história, são os fadistas e os músicos, residentes e não, que cantam e tocam maravilhosamente.

Polecam to miejsce, można za 20 euro za dwie osoby cos przekazać i posłuchać Fado . Do lokalu zapraszał sam właściciel, który jak sie okazało tez nieźle śpiewał .

MARAVILHOSO!
Você não veio a Lisboa e não ouviu Fado se não foi na Tasca do Chico.
Com ares de tabernas antigas, uma energia inigualável, a melhor sangria que já tomei! Sempre peça pão, azeite e olivas enquanto assiste a uma ou mais sessões, as meninas são sempre rápidas e eficientes! Eles não aceitam cartão, vá com algum dinheiro.
Não se assuste com a fila lá fora, vale a espera! E se ainda tiver sorte pode tirar uma foto com o ilustre Chico!
Não deixe de visitar!!!!

Nos han tratado muy mal, teniendo mesas disponibles nos han acompañado a la puerta diciendo que no tenía sitio y dirigiéndonos a otro local con un precio mucho más elevado y más "turístico"

Pequena tasca que me pareceu, acima de tudo, autêntica. Fui à noite para o fado. Trata-se de um bom programa, mas talvez para tipos específicos de pessoas - é bom saber o que esperar.
As mesas e bancos são simples e um pouco apertados, frequentemente compartilhados; a comida é boa, mas não há muitas opções. As paredes são repletas de fotografias e referências ao fado. Os donos do local servem aos clientes pessoalmente, sem muitos mimos, e se esforçam para que os serviços não aconteçam durante o momento mais solene: o fado. Há bom e lindo fado que ocorre a portas fechadas, e clientes só entram ou saem da casa nos intervalos entre uma sessão e outra. Por vezes um dos donos passa do serviço ao microfone para cantar.
Penso que as porções de comida poderiam ser mais fartas, e os períodos de música mais longos, mesmo que fosse cobrada taxa de couvert para os músicos (que não há). De qualquer forma considerei uma ótima experiência, mas bem consciente de que não seria do agrado de todos.

Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to actually visit the place, because a rude waiter told me everything was booked and Fado only started at 11 p.m.
Later one of the locals said that this place used to be one of the best but lately has become too crowded and touristy.
I’m sure the Fado itself is good there, but the attitude isn’t nice and it shouldn’t be like that.
There are many other cozier places to enjoy the singing without the need to book a table or put up with unpleasant attitude.

La comida muy cara para lo que es, se come mucho mejor en otros sitios de Lisboa por mucho menos precio. Te dan la cuenta escrita a mano y te cobran lo que les da la gana. El fado mal, las cantantes reguleras y los músicos parecido. Cantan 2-3 canciones y hacen un descanso de 20 minutos. Para rematar, el camarero es un borde de narices. En resumen, una trampa para turistas, no volvería.

Fado recomendado, no hay precio cerrado, es lo q cenes si vas cuando abren. El chorizo y la morcilla asados están buenos. Luego pedimos el plato de tapas q es embutido variado y la ensalada de bacalao con garbanzos q si q es mas propia.

Endroit clairement à déconseiller !!! Le patron d'un certain âge fait affiche un racisme sidérant et assumé...nous avons été refusés alors que la salle était à moitié vide...j'ai dû insister et revenir à deux reprises pour m'assurer que je ne m'étais pas trompé et mal interprété les propos... A peine on s'éloigne un autre couple a été invité à rentrer, ce que j'ai pas manqué de le lui signifier ouvertement, je précise que nous sommes un couple mixte...Au 21 ème siècle, cela me donne une piètre image du Portugal..bref sans généraliser, je déconseille vivement cet endroit qui est loin de l'accueil que nous avons reçu au cours de notre séjour...!!!

Très mauvais service, attente très longue et serveuse constamment sur son téléphone et pas aimable du tout,nourriture pas bonne, pourtant normalement avec des tapas on pourrait ne pas trop se tromper si les produits étaient de qualité... la seule note positive : les chanteurs.
Voilà, à ne pas recommander selon moi.

Great Fado Vadio in Alfama, it was my second time there... but the other time I went to the one at Bairro Alto, it was fantastic too !! ahhh have dinner before you go, there is better for tapas or only wine & beers.

Came for fado and was not disappointed. They had two musicians and several singers, both female and male of different ages, who took turns singing (I'd say roughly 15min each followed by a 10min break) which made for a very entertaining evening. The food and prices were reasonable.
Be aware that you have to arrive early to get a table (better even make a reservation) and that you are not supposed to enter while the music is playing.

The restaurant was long time known as an insider-tip for good and authentic Fado for a reasonable price. It seams the success turned their heads, now they charge € 45.- for a dinner, that's a total rip-off for Lisbon.

How can I say...the waiter was awful and aloof, the steak was like leather, the underdone fish was heavily salted (not the salted cod), and the house wine was substandard with an aural display of local talent that just ok.

Posto informale, ci siamo avventurati qui per ascoltare il famoso fado. I musicisti sono effettivamente stati molto bravi. Nell'attesa abbiamo mangiato qualcosa, diciamo sgranocchiato.. ma alla fine abbiamo pagato un conto abbastanza elevato.. quindi i prezzi sono sicuramente un po' gonfiati, forse perché è compreso il costo dello spettacolo

A pessoa que me pareceu ser o chefe de sala, achei-a bastante antipática.
Tendência para errarem a conta, a favor da casa. Verificar sempre se não cobraram coisas que não serviram.

Nice place to hear fado. There are only appetizers on the menu. The cheese and bread on the table are paid for, as it is in every restaurant in Lisboa. If you don't want it, ask for it to be removed, or just don't eat it. The price is ok, and you are not paying for the show itself. I would come back.
Bom lugar para se escutar o fado tradicional. No menu só aperitivos e tira gosto. O pão e o queijo na mesa são pagos, assim como em todos os restaurantes de Lisboa. Se não quiser e só pedir para retirar ou não comer. O preço é bom, ainda mais levando em conta que não se paga pelo show. Eu voltaria.

Casa de fados cutre, mala atención, comida deficiente y precios "hinchados", como en la mayoría de las casas de fados, montadas para engañar a los turistas. Si de verdad quieres descubrir el "alma" del fado busca audiciones para portugueses, conciertos en Portugal en salas cerradas.

1. I appreciated the music and the food, but I can't accept that the owner of the restaurant told me in such an inappropriated way to wait for the request I had to make because he was listening to the fado being performed live, we appreciated the music but we were clients and did not want to wait the end of a live session for the owner to listen our request as he forgot salt, pepper and we just wanted to ask some ketchup..
2. We appreciated the bread and cheese we were offered when we came in, but we became completely pissed off when we realized we actually had to PAY for something that was apparently free and that we hadn't asked for..
"We automatically put bread and cheese on the table when people come, but if you don't want to pay for this, you shouldn't have eaten it"
Very very last time. The fado was excellent though
