Espaço muito acolhedor com decoração adequada a toda a experiência proporcionanda e equipa de excelência. Para completar o ambiente faz se ouvir o fado, a verdadeira música de Lisboa. A comida, de raízes portuguesas, recriada numa versão contemporânea, tornando-se numa verdadeira experiência sensorial, sendo a refeição um momento de degustação único. Recomendo vivamente que visitem e degustem neste espaço.

Como descrever esta experiência? O restaurante é um espaço muito acolhedor, bem decorado e com um excelente serviço. Proporciona uma verdadeira experiência de sentidos começando pela apresentação e decoração dos pratos, a comida magnificamente bem confeccionada, acompanhada de um bom vinho português, culminando na música ambiente, o fado, um produto tão português. Um espaço que junta em si todos os ingredientes para um excelente refeição.

Food was amazing, the portions are not big but very tasty. I strongly recommend the Octopus that was delicious. The staff is helpful and friendly. I great stop in Lisboa to enjoy quality food.

The food is more than excellent but the place is fully damped they should really do something to the Air exchange all my clothes smelled like burned fatt. This is why they don't get 5 stars.

Amazing food. We ate octopus with sweet potato and tagliatali with shrimps and mussels. The place is very small and romantic, the music is so good, the staff was really nice too.

We originally wanted to go to the vegetarian restaurant across the street, but luckily the next available table was an hour wait. Taberna had some good vegetarian options on the menu so we opted for the shorter wait. The food was simple yet flavorful and the service was very friendly. We love finding these little gems off the main area.

All courses were absolutely wonderful and our waiter was so sweet and kept us smiling the whole time!

If you just walk by Taberna d'Alegria it looks really modest. I have lived in Lisbon for just about two years and I have rarely come across a restaurant like this one. The staff is very humble and helpful. The chef is a genius! You have to try thier pork ribs with apple puree. It is cooked for 12h and it is pure culinary magic.

The food is amazing, one of the best restaurants in Lisbon (and ive been living in Lisbon for 3.5 years). A true joy, very nice staff, and just overall amazing. A true pleasure.

Surpresa agradabilíssima! Um local pequeno com excelente atendimento, pratos muito saborosos, vinhos excelentes e preço justo. Mas o mais importante foi a gentileza e simpatia do garçon, André, inteligente, discreto, competente. Comida deliciosa (bacalhau e bochecha de porco preto, hmmm...) momentos muito agradáveis. I had new experience tonight. There were 5 tables in restaurant only. I did reservation 3 weeks ago. So without reservation probably you will not have opportunity to have dinner here. Family restaurant with short menu but every dish very tasty. I don’t like simple tasty and cheap wine so the red wine could not be bought in stores, only in restaurants, very interesting blended Douro wine .

Buen restaurante de "diseño". Buena calidad y buen servicio. Hecho en falta el sabor de la auténtica comida portuguesa, basada más en la calidad de la materia prima que en la elaboración de los platos. Los vinos muy buenos.

Outstanding food, delightful friendly service. A wonderful find. EDIT: On returning more recently it seems that the restaurant has changed hands. The food is still rather good but the service nowhere near as charming, a bit more by-the-book. Dropped one star.

Walking into this restaurant is like visiting a long lost friend who is cooking something special. The restaurant's aroma fills the air with these wonderful flavors. Our meal was exceptional, layered with a multitude of tastes. Great service. Highly recommended. BYW, amazing music.

Amazing food and service. My boyfriend said it was the best cheesecake he ever tried. Highly recommended. Make sure you book, we went on Christmas Day and lots of people were turned away as it’s a very small restaurant.

A Taberna d'Alegria é pequenina e acolhedora. À primeira vista lembra o típico mas arrisca muito para além disso. A comida é deliciosa. Apostámos nos petiscos e nada desapontou. Os croquetes de polvo são suaves e muito agradáveis, a língua fumada foi uma ótima supresa... E a linguiça com mel e ervas ganhou a noite! Para sobremesa, optámos pelas migas de chocolate, que nos deixaram um pouco menos impressionados mas que foram um fecho leve e equilibrado para todas as delícias que ficaram para trás. Sobre o atendimento, basta dizer que é perfeito: poucas vezes vi um equilíbrio tão bom entre gentileza, discrição, atenção e humor. Relativamente ao espaço, a sala é de facto muito pequena (pelo que reservar é praticamente obrigatório). E o ruído dependerá um pouco da sorte que se tenha... Nós tivemos o azar de encontrar ali um grupo de três pessoas bastante barulhentas, que receberam inclusive alguns olhares menos simpáticos de outros clientes. Tudo somado (e frisando que a nossa visita aconteceu durante um período de descontos oferecido por outro site, o que torna mais justo o preço pago), este restaurante é claramente uma aposta ganha em todos os sentidos: comida, atendimento e espaço. Voltaremos, sem dúvida alguma!

Pequeno restaurante com ambiente calmo e aconhegante. Comemos um polvo com pure de batata doce maravilhoso.

As a local: it's a tourist trap. The food is not bad but its overpriced. Also: Its not nice to ask people that already have a drink each it they'd like water, then bring a 5,50€ (!) 1L bottle to the table. More expensive than wine! This price makes absolutely no sense in Portugal. The price of beer is missing from the menu (it's 2,50€ for a 33cl bottle of Sagres/Super Bock) After paying, they told us 30 something € was missing. We told them we had paid, and they insisted. Turned out they had lost the receipt. Didn't feel very good.

Waren zum Abschluss unseres Urlaubes da. Angefangen von einer dreckigen Wand (unser Tisch stand direkt an einer Wand), einer vergessenen Vorspeise und mehrmaligem Geruch nach Verbranntem gibt es nichts zu erwähnen. Schade....

you wouldnt expect that amazing food in this streets. but i had the best pulpo ever. the rest was great too. i‘m not a big fan of portugiese wine but as the food also the wine is local.

I had the smoked pork’s tongue and the octopus with sweet potato purée, both of them were really good! Highly recommended! Very friendly staff too!

We had high expectations from a friend's recommendation. In spite of this, we were positively surprised. Very friendly service, good advices on what to select from the menu and the wine list. The food, was delicious and original, based in the Portuguese kitchen, and very, very tasty. We left the "Taberna" dancing in the street.

Accueil très chaleureux. Du très bon vin à table. Les entrées, ex. le joue du porc, sont délicieux. Le thon "seared" est parfait. Je recommande ce lieu.

Adorei tudo nesta Taberna, desde o ambiente acolhedor, até ao requinte da comida, recomendo a Perna de Pato confitado com Puré de Aipo, uma delícia... e para sobremesa provei o melhor Pudim Abade de Priscos. Gostei muito da simpatia do Chef, que veio à mesa agradecer os meus Parabéns e deu para sentir que tudo o que faz, é com paixão... fazendo justiça ao nome Taberna d' Alegria... sai com este sentimento na alma!

Nestas noites frias e de chuva, a Taberna d' Alegria é um dos melhores locais para se jantar em Lisboa.Desde a deliciosa sopa de castanhas com presunto desidratado, as quentes bochechas de porco preto em vinho tinto, ao magnífco pudim Abade de Priscos que estava dos Deuses... Verdadeira comida que aquece a alma.O vinho sugerido pelo Chef, Cruz Velha reserva de 2014 que não conhecia era um digno de ser bebido por Baco... O espaço, bastante intimista com um serviço muito atencioso, fazem-nos sentir em casa.

Jantar na Taberna d’Alegria é uma ode aos sabores e vale a pena apreciar o requinte da comida e a simpatia e atenção com que somos recebidos. Recomendo o bacalhau confitado com puré de grão com grelos e o bife da vazia com molho de queijo da serra. De passagem pela avenida da liberdade, vale a pena a inflexão pela rua da alegria acima.

Very bad, my soup was cold in the center and super hot on the edges, like it was microaved after the fridge. I don't recomend it!

I ended up at this little hidden gem very hungry... 1st night I had a wonderfully - tender octopus and 2nd night I came back for a braised pork checks which were very as delicious. Highly recommended!
