I was about 20 minutes late for the appointment, when I arrived the hair dresser told me to wait instead of telling me to come another day because he was too booked. Everything was rushed. Had a not so good experience. The guy who cutted the hair overcharged me, he only just cutted the tips of the hair and didn't even styled it, which was one of the main goals. And the styling was simply just to make it look wet and pulled to the back. Careful guys.

Great place! I had Emanuel fix a terrible hair cut I'd had a few days before at another salon. I went in feeling a bit desperate, but left completely happy with my new style.

I got a hair cut and some highlights today and they turned out absolutely amazing! Not only was the result great, the atmosphere was amazing and the people could speak English! I got served by a gorgeous girl called Susanna I think. They have English magazines and they offered me drinks too. The price however turned out pretty hefty and more than I expected so that's a star down. Definitely recommend!

Is it crazy that an American girl would go all the way to Lisbon for a hair appointment? Hell no, when the appointment is at Facto! In full disclosure, I was already in Europe, but I had plenty of other cities and salons to choose from. I did some online research, discovered Facto, and my gut told me it was the right place for me. Was I ever right, and you can bet I’m going back. I’m already planning my return to Europe with a first stop in Lisbon for another fabulous Facto day! The atmosphere at Facto is ELECTRIC, with owner Antony Millard leading the charge. An absolute gem of a guy—a heart of gold in the guise of a rocker. One of the most touching things to me was seeing Antony’s caring, charismatic interactions with all his staff, and how they all engaged with each other. They’re obviously friends, but even more so—they’re a Facto family. And as for Ana, my stylist, where to begin? She’s pure genius with color, treatment, cut, and style. I went in with badly dried-out hair from a summer of sea swimming, the remnants of a previous botched color job, and a photo of the new style I wanted. Ana delivered all that I wanted and more. We talked about what to do, and it became immediately obvious that she knew how to handle my mess. “I trust you,” I said. “Do whatever you want.” She painstakingly colored my hair, applied a deep condition/repair treatment (Liquid Hair), cut it brilliantly, and styled it in a way I’m actually able to repeat. During the whole process, she took time to show the up and coming stylists in the salon the various techniques she used. That’s pure Facto—everyone pitching in , helping out, and learning from one another. I couldn’t be happier with my hair. It’s fresh and new, and yet it also feels more like me than ever before. While I was in the chair (because I spent a good 5 hours there!), I watched several clients come and go. Each person left looking like they felt like the most beautiful person on earth, and the most beautiful version of themselves. And that’s exactly how I felt when it was finally time for me to go. Thank you, Facto, and especially Ana and Antony, for the experience! I can’t wait to return!

Haircut service was okay, I got a haircut that I could get somewhere else for a lesser price. i was really expecting an exceptional style that would set them apart from a neighborhood salon. Customer service was mediocre at best. The stylist never even bothered to chat with me. So i don’t think I’ll be returning.

Was visiting from out of town and got a cut by Emmanuel. The staff at the salon was super friendly and helpful ( I found the rest of Lisbon to be a bit more reserved so it was nice to get some information about the city while I was there). The salon was nice and professional. I got to watch some of the other hairdressers while they worked and they all looked like they really knew what they were doing. I have curly hair that was cut and styled into waves and even though it looked great I was a bit nervous to see how it would look when I wore it natural. Sure enough, it looks just as great curly. Very happy- highly recommend! Thanks Emmanuel!

He is young, nice and cheerful man, who is really master of his craft. He did a very good job made me happy with result. At the end, he wroth me the Nr. of colour he had used, that I could give it to my hairdresser in ZH. Next time I will definitely go to him again. Best hairdresser I have had yet! Even tho my hair gave some complications, she managed to come through and make me come out of there like I was going to a photoshoot. Exactly what I wanted, I recommend it 100%!

My experience with Micael was great. And I can say he's truly doing what he loves and he does it to perfection! He especially loves doing short cuts, so if you want to go for that, go with him. The hair washing and brushing experience was a bit rough and painful and not so relaxing, but I think the assistant was rather new and inexperienced!? The lacking sensitivity can probably learned with training. Anyway, over all I had a good time and appreciate my new hair! Muito obrigada, Micael for the time and passion you put into my new cut!

I was there yesterday the first time, had to wait more then half an hour altough I had made an appointment before, and I had an clear imagination how I wanted my long hair to thin out, At the end I came out with a short ugly haircut, I paid 50 euros, cause the guy didnt have enhough change. The hairdresser was nice but completely unexperienced.I would not go there any more. Maybe I was unlucky with the hairdresser, I should have remarked it when his collegeus came by to ask him if he needed help. I went to Facto Hair because of the reviews and it did NOT disappoint. I was able to book a walk-in appointment. I came in with blue hair (the most difficult colour to remove) and left with *perfect* natural brown hair. Bryan is a hair wizard who moved his schedule around to tackle this challenge and I'm pretty sure he's basically the god of hair science. The best part? After such a tricky process, my hair feels healthy and undamaged. Definitely go to this place and ask for Bryan! Posting my before/after below.

I found this place based on reviews. However i was really disappointed. I went there for root touch up and they were not able to match my roots with rest of my hair. My roots were 100% grey and they supposed to match it with chocolate brown. My roots turned copper. Then another round of color but the roots are still much lighter than the rest if the hair. I don’t suggest this place if you have grey hair.

I had been traveling and just arrived in Lisbon. My color had faded to a terrible red. They repaired my hair back to beautiful dark brown color and now I can keep on moving. This is a very fabulous salon and I felt equally fabulous when I left.

As a New Yorker, I have high expectations, but I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, I was impressed. I got a really creative cut that I’ve gotten tons of compliments on! Will be back next time I’m in Lisboa.

I was over in Lisbon for a friend’s wedding and decided to stop by Facto Hair to refresh my colour. My hair stylist Bryan was absolutely amazing. He was very attentive, professional and great conversationalist. Most importantly he knew what he was doing. The colour turned out perfect. The experience was majorly affected by a young intern who after very painfully pulling my hair out (otherwise known as brushing), managed to burn my scalp with a hair dryer. Apart from that, I would highly recommend getting an appointment with Bryan as he was truly amazing. I could not have been happier with how my hair colour turned out.

I decided to try Facto Hair after a small search and a lot of good comments on internet, and I definitely loved it! Beside the amazing stuff, friendly atmosphere, Bryan did an awesome job on my hair! I wanted to make my blonde-yellow hair to ash icy blonde and he definitely did it as I wanted. I was so scared my hair got burn, but in the end my hair was softer compared to before because of t product he suggested me to use! I’m totally satisfied and happy with the result! Surprisely very good! Had been in Europe for almost month. I was planning to wait until I get back to Canada. But my hair was too much...I decided to do it in Lisbon. Antony gave me super professional advice and every staffs can speak English there as I was a bit worried about the language barrier. The reception gave me a very warm welcome even I booked my appointment at the very last minute. Everyone smiled to you and were very helpful to guests. The girl who washed my hair even taught me how to go to Porto. I was on my phone for planning my trip during the haircut. Once I looked into the mirror, my hair looks extremely amazing and beautiful! It turned out exactly how I wanted it:) The whole experience was wonderful. The vibe of the salon was very positive and fun! I’d totally recommend foreigners (locals for sure) to Facto Hair! Love it so much!

Bryan did a great job refreshing my mop of curly hair. I'm normally very loyal to my California-based hair stylist; I havent let anyone else cut my hair in the past seven years. While visiting Lisbon on vacation I had to make an exception, because I could barely run my hands through my dry ends. Bryan immediately put me at ease and understood what I was looking for. I appreciated his attention to detail and just how friendly both he and the whole staff were. The salon itself was very hip and accommodating. They managed to squeeze me in that day, but it was a weekday and I imagine they are normally packed on the weekends. If anyone finds themselves in Lisbon and is in need of a hair cut, I would definitely recommend Bryan.

I've known about Facto Hair studio for more than a decade, so I was waaaaaay behind on the experience of how it's like to have my hair done by one of the most renowned saloons in Lisbon. But it finally happened. The studio has this stunning urban vibe, great music playing, and a very dynamic team. As soon I has I arrived, I was presented with a welcome drink to enjoy while waiting my appointment, but it didn't take long. When I made the booking, I picked the stylist randomly, and got Ana. I only told her that I wanted my neck to be bare and never got to show her any of the pictures I had selected on Instagram as example. My hair was a mess, dry, unruly, frizzly but she could see right through it. I had my head thoroughly washed by smooth hands, and while at it, got a wonderful back massage in perhaps the comfiest washing station chair I ever sat on. Fantastic detail, I tell you that. Then, the cutting commenced. I was amazed by how skillful Ana's hands were, and how focused she was, that I didn't dare to talk not wanting to interfere with her creative process. And she was not the only one, I could see to through the mirrors how masterful every stylist there was. Nearing the end, Ana asked my how I wanted my hair styled, but I didn't said much, she guessed exactly what I wanted and the final result was brilliant, perfectly in tune with what I had in mind. It's a bit expensive yes, but that's the price you pay for excellence and expertise. I tend to be a loyal customer when I'm served well, and in this case, I will definitely be returning.

Susana cut my thick & curly hair perfectly! I was really impressed by how she really tried to understand what I wanted from the very beginning. You could see her passion for what she does, and shared helpful tips, too! I could not recommend this salon, and Susana more highly.

I came in with yellow hair, and they did a superb colour correction. I loved the vibe, the music was great, and I loved how the team talks and consults each other -> you can tell that they really care!! I feel really bad writing this review because the person who did my hair was super sweet and the service at the salon was great; however, my bayalage is ruined and no hair salon will take me because they are worried my hair is too fragile. First, I booked an appointment for bayalage and root re-touch. When the hairdresser started putting foils in my hair instead of painting it. I knew something was wrong and immediately asked why he was doing that. I should've stopped right there, but figured maybe the foils were to get my hair to process faster. Next he applied my base bump, which sort of lightened my roots, but honestly they are still pitch black instead of a rich brown color which is how the rest of my base usually is. The part that really bothered me is I told him it looked streaky and there was a line and he acted like I was crazy. Again, he was very sweet so I figured I was just being picky and I would wait it out two weeks. Two weeks later, it's even worse now that the toner has washed out. I really don't need to describe it any further, just take a look for yourself at the pictures.

I hadn't gotten a haircut for ages and I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted, but they were very helpful and I walked out with a smile and a great haircut. Relaxing, clean, and good service. Foreign credit cards are tricky, however, so I recommend bringing cash.

Manuel cut my hair yesterday at the Bairo Alto location and it's hands down one of the best cuts Iv'e had in years. I have thick curly hair, which can be a challenge to get right, but he got what I wanted and snipped it into shape effortlessly. Price didn't break the bank either. Highly recommended.

After going more than 6 months without getting a haircut, my ends (and overall cut) were looking sad. Thankfully, Emmanuel came to the rescue. The cut is excellent (one of the best I've gotten), and I couldn't be happier. The salon itself is also quite nice, not to mention the relaxing head massage during the washing. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend this salon. The staff is professional, personable and skilled. Antony knows hair and how to create a great cut. He worked with the current state of my hair and my growth plans to give me a style that works now and as the hair grows. Little indulgent touches, like the massage chair during the wash, brought a nice aspect of "mimo" to the experience.

When I left it looked great. I warned the hairdresser beforehand not to burn my hair. He guaranteed me that it will not happen. Well after washing it, my curls were/are gone! Now I have half of my hair with my natural brown color and the other half (literally a horizontal line) with a burnt blondish hair! Horrible! And I paid 130€ which for Portuguese standards is a fortune... Customer service so far has been very poor. I demand my money back!

This salon does hair for the MTV, so you know it's going to be good. My color is quite complex and it was bleached by surfing and sunshine but the stylist was able to recreate and blend it perfectly. Very friendly people and everyone speaks English, which makes things easier in a foreign country. They even have a dryer that cuts down your time with the dye in half so you don't end up spending all day there. Fantastic experience, highly recommend!
